Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
[attr="class","carvetext"]Thoughts of Bosco's capabilities in seemingly mundane human tasks never crossed Orion's mind when he offered the blond a hand. For a majority of the shifter's life, he lived as a St. Bernard rather than a regular person. Their hands connected and without a second thought, Orion helped in coaxing the blond to his feet with the attentions of leading him out. He thought they would walk together, the human leading the way in the pursuit to grant his aunt and mother an explanations. Unfortunately, the unforeseen difficulties arrived shortly after he hauled Bosco to his feet.
The young boy wobbled when attempting to use his human legs, shortly loosing balance. The police officer kept a firm grip on Bosco's hand, gradually trying to steady his former pet. His eyes met with the blond's briefly, a frown forming on Orion's face as he realized the situation. Bosco never lived as a human, everything he knew was fixated on being a dog. Regular education and walking were forgotten and replaced with 'if you sit, you get a treat'. Everything a regular boy should know would need to be learned again...
The dark-haired man was about to scoop Bosco into his arms and carry him, however, a pleasant voice offered to assist with walking. His steel-blue eyes glanced over as Elysia offered a hand to help with steadying the blond. Red developed on Orion's cheeks, a small smile forming on his lips.
"You might as well take it, you need to learn how to walk at some point, Bosco," Orion quietly coaxed.
He hoped the shifter would take Elysia's hand and accept the help in learning how to walk. Otherwise, Orion would be required to pick him up and carry him from the room. He held no problems with either option, but one involved some well-needed learning.
[newclass=".carvetext"]font-family:Source Sans Pro;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;padding:15px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;[/newclass][newclass=".carvecredit"]width:475px;font-size:12px;text-align:right;margin-left:5px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","carvetext"]Redness still painted Orion's cheeks alongside the bridge of his nose from the actions Elysia accomplished. A simple bump on the forehead became an action summoner, heralding an interaction which left his heart fluttering wildly inside his chest. There were plenty of heart-racing moments because of Orion's life, all resulted from adrenaline pumping through his veins or fear. Alas, this reaction differed from the previous altercations that sent his heart into a frenzy. He still remembered the tender softness of her hands carefully touching the wounded area...
There was a subtle awkwardness to the experience, however, Orion admittedly enjoyed every precious second of the interaction. Unexplainable, every action and the accordingly reaction lacked a proper reasoning inside the young human's mind. Despite this, his heart proceeded to flutter as the redness of his face slowly faded back to its regular pigment. When she turned to smile at him, the symptoms of his unknown ailment began to manifest again. A slight reddening of his face followed by a subtle heat as blood pooled and a series of palpitations in his chest.
He liked seeing her smile... It was beautiful and pleasant... When Bosco spoke, Orion stiffened from being startled, his steel-blue eyes glancing over at the young shifter slowly uncurling. Beyond the room, the voices proceeded to converse, one acknowledging the container on the counter. The officer flinched from hearing them... how would he explain to them his dog was a person?
"Sounds like mom and auntie are home, Bosco. How about we go get you settled with your hot chocolate and tell them what happened? It will be okay, I promise," he informed the young boy.
Slowly, Orion rose from the carpet, standing at his full height before leaning down towards the boy formerly his dog. From there, he offered the blond a hand while giving him a soft smile.
[newclass=".carvetext"]font-family:Source Sans Pro;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;padding:15px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;[/newclass][newclass=".carvecredit"]width:475px;font-size:12px;text-align:right;margin-left:5px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","carvetext"]Despite the injury he received, Orion did not regret venturing beneath the bed to save Bosco. While his disdain for supernatural creatures existed, those memories of being around the dog he considered a best friend promoted the necessity to save. The ravenette watched the young boy, eyes trained on him for a few moments to assure the storm of anxiety ended. When approaching footsteps filled Orion's ears, the police officer glanced up at Elysia. She moved through his room, closing in and prompting the human's eyes to remain locked on her.
Slowly, he pulled his hand away from his forehead, surprised by the distance being closed. Her hand reached out, Orion's eyes widening as he felt her soft fingers touch his forehead. The red mark on his forehead was carefully caressed by her delicate fingers. Immediately, Orion's heart began fluttering inside his chest as he stared up at Elysia. Red blossomed onto his cheeks by the unexpected and sweet action she accomplished. The sweet words she dated only made the redness of his cheeks turn a deeper shade.
There was a pause before Orion gave a soft smile, steel-blue eyes glancing away. A heat grew in his face, however, the police officer tried to ignore it. A quick apology was provided followed by the ginger-haired woman mentioning the hot chocolate being ready.
"O-oh, thanks... and I'll try," Orion answered bashfully. "Anyways, I will text you later..."
Only moments later did the sound of a door creaking open echoed through the house. A pair of female voices conversing with one another could be heard, but was inaudible from this distance. The ravenette paused as he stood up with a realization. His mother and aunt had returned home earlier than expected, meaning he would have to explain Bosco's transformation... and make certain they would not embarrass him in front of Elysia... The last thing he wanted was Elysia thinking he was weird or downright ridiculous, yet, he could not explain why...
[newclass=".carvetext"]font-family:Source Sans Pro;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;padding:15px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;[/newclass][newclass=".carvecredit"]width:475px;font-size:12px;text-align:right;margin-left:5px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","carvetext"]Freedom from beneath the cramped space was granted as Orion squeezed himself out. The dark-haired man eventually managed to get onto his hands and knees, his left reaching to touch his forehead. Pain pulsated through the area, a redness developing where he bumped it into the bed frame. A bump accompanied by an ugly bruise would undoubtedly form on his forehead from the incident, however, Orion was not concerned. There were worse injuries to receive, and his time working in the police forced proved that notion.
The officer's fingers passed over the location of the bump, noticing some minor broken skin. Based off the minor damages, his forehead scraped against the bed frame, resulting in some broken skin. His steel-blue eyes landed on Bosco who he discovered curled up in a ball, but seemed calm despite the circumstances. He remained silent, rubbing his injury until hearing the soft sound of footsteps and gentle creak of the door. From the threshold he spotted Elysia who probably heard those swears escape his mouth... that was oddly a tad embarrassing...
The shouts had created concern, which was expected considering he had clearly been in pain. The dark-haired man inched forward before shifting to sit on the ground.
"I'm alright... I just hit my head on the bed frame," Orion explained.
Unconsciously, his hand returned to his forehead, making it clear where the injury was. Fortunately, there was no blood, merely a slight break in the skin and some redness. The officer remained silent for a moment, gently rubbing the part on his forehead he hurt.
[newclass=".carvetext"]font-family:Source Sans Pro;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;padding:15px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;[/newclass][newclass=".carvecredit"]width:475px;font-size:12px;text-align:right;margin-left:5px;[/newclass]
There is a darkness in that monster, a type which haunts your family. He insisted he would change, become better, stop beating your mother and bruising his fists. You remember how he screamed at her, how he made you and your mother cry. Lies drifted through those deceptive lips. He honeyed his words, attempted to speak charmingly to keep both of you with him. He harmed your mother... and harmed you as well.
His blood flows heavily through your veins. Part the monster who harmed you and part the mother who graciously protected you. There are times you worry about becoming similar to the beast who disabled your precious mother. However, you are determined to prove him wrong. From the ashes of the broken, sorrowful, abused people he left behind, you rose alongside your mother. You guided one another, refusing to allow the chains of the past to hold you. You are not going to become the volatile monster who haunted your nightmares.
[attr="class","carvetext"]From beneath the bed, Orion waited for Bosco to inch away from the edge of the bed. Escape was ahead of him since backtracking would be difficult given how hard moving backwards was. Time passed before the young blond moved away from the edge of the bed, creating room for Orion to leave. The human started inching forward, slipping further beneath the bed to the adjacent side. Closer, the police officer got to the edge of the bed, his steel-blue eyes fixated on the goal. Escape would arrive once he managed to squirm out from the bed.
Eventually, Orion reached the bed's edge, his eyes searching for potential blocks. The rough texture of the carpet brushed against his skin. He wondered if he would receive rug burn from his ridiculous idea to crawl complete across the underside of the bed. Admittedly, he felt slightly claustrophobic beneath the bed and he required escape from the cramp space. He inched closer, hands eventually out from beneath the bed. He began hurrying, acting reckless because his escape was close. The man's forehead smacked hard into the lip of the bed, pain erupting.
"OW! DAMMIT!" Orion shouted out.
He brushed his hand against the fresh bump being created on his forehead. The pain was nothing unbearable, however, Orion definitely did not welcome the sensation. Slower, the human slid out from beneath his bed, a groan of pain escaping his lips. He glanced over at Bosco and flinched.
"Sorry, I shouldn't have swore," he said, sighing.
Gradually, he squirmed completely out from beneath the bed. The officer stretched a bit once he escaped the cramp space. Afterwards, his eyes rested on Bosco, the man frowning at the young boy he discovered. The officer remained silent, scratching the back of his head. He was uncertain about the situation, thus no words escaped his lips.
[newclass=".carvetext"]font-family:Source Sans Pro;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;padding:15px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;[/newclass][newclass=".carvecredit"]width:475px;font-size:12px;text-align:right;margin-left:5px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","carvetext"]Crammed beneath the bed was the police officer's lean body as he inched himself further. Careful nudges prompted Bosco to gradually move, each one bringing the blond closer to the bed's edge. Discomfort had formed hastily, Orion ignoring these emotions in favour of helping his precious friend. If he allowed Bosco to suffer beneath this bed, he would feel abhorrent and would risk the blond dying from a panic attack. Sounds existed outside the bed as Orion finally pushed Bosco out from beneath the bed.
As he squirmed beneath the bed, Orion heard Elysia's voice stating they needed a hot beverage. For a moment, a smile broke across his lips. There was a sweetness to her actions which caused his heart to skip a beat, however, he could not fixate the ginger's currently... He needed to escape the maniacal clutches of his bed... Inside the cupboards there would be mostly coffee mixtures with some caramel hot chocolate mix his mother bought to try. Meanwhile, his aunt had a small box of green tea because of the health benefits.
It was nothing spectacular, but all were potential hot beverages for Elysia to chose from. Momentarily, Orion debated his options for getting out from under the bed before finally deciding to proceed forward.
"Bosco? Can you move a bit? I need to get out," he asked quietly.
The RCMP officer waited beneath the bed, desiring an answer before he proceeded. He hoped the blond could move to allow him room to squirm out from under the bed.
[newclass=".carvetext"]font-family:Source Sans Pro;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;padding:15px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;[/newclass][newclass=".carvecredit"]width:475px;font-size:12px;text-align:right;margin-left:5px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","carvetitle"]I'm stronger than you think
[attr="class","carvedesc"]
How long do I have to prove myself for you to finally see that?! I work harder than anybody else, but you just keep dragging me down!
[attr="class","carvenotes"]@bosco N/a
[attr="class","carvetext"]Endless emotions of concern filled Orion as he followed the duo towards his precious dog. His gaze shifted around, nervousness about the situation haunting the dark-haired man. Somewhere, Bosco was frightened after running away and there was the possibility of terrors lurking through the trees. The RCMP officer wanted to find the shifter quickly and return him to the safety of his home. There he could consider talking to his mom about Bosco running away. Somewhere was a solution to their problem, however, it was difficult to find.
The young boy required schooling, therefore, he needed to attend his classes. One thought entered Orion's mind as they walked through the trees, closing the proximity between him and Bosco. He wondered if a stuffed animal would assist in calming the anxious blond's mind. Gradually, the steps through the tall standing trees and brush led the trio to a small den where Orion's eyes discovered the young boy. Without hesitation the dark-haired man hurried forward, concern covering his countenance as the distance was closed.
"BOSCO!" He shouted as he reached to wrap his arms tightly around the young boy. "Don't run away like that ever again! You had me worried sick!"
Only moments after the hug did Orion pull away, glancing over the young shifter. There appeared to be no injuries on Bosco, which was a relief. Slowly, he stood straight, reaching to grab the blond's hand. He turned, giving a nod to the armoured knight and the young girl.
"Thank you," he said softly. "Now c'mon Bosco. Let's take you home."
With those words, Orion began leading Bosco through the trees. His open hand grabbed the radio stationed on his belt while they walked. The officer informed his colleagues he found Bosco and was leaving the wooded area, therefore, a mass-scale search would be unnecessary. After receiving a response, the radio was returned to his side, the officer continuing back the way he initially came from.
[newclass=".carvetext"]font-family:Source Sans Pro;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;padding:15px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;[/newclass][newclass=".carvecredit"]width:475px;font-size:12px;text-align:right;margin-left:5px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","carvetext"]Carpet rubbed against Orion as he narrowly managed to squeeze further beneath his bed. Reaching Bosco and rescuing him from the malicious anxieties attempting to conquer him was crucial. The blond was originally his St. Bernard, the pet he adored for years and who assisted in maintaining his mental state. Without Bosco, the dark-haired boy would have proceeded to suffer through the memories of domestic violence. His companion was an escape, somebody who promoted calmness and allowed him to cope with those devastating thoughts. The police officer was determined to successfully rescue him, even if he risked getting stuck in the process.
As he slithered further beneath his bed, Orion reached for Bosco. He hoped his fingers would brush the anxiety-ridden boy to assist in calming him. Petting was something Orion did for Bosco whenever he seemed stressed or anxious. When close enough, the dark-haired man rhythmically rubbed Bosco’s shoulder. He soothed his own breathing as an example for the blond to follow. Deep inhales followed by lengthy exhales to pacify a palpitating heart. He narrowly heard Elysia’s question, the concern being appreciated. The officer was alright, squeezing under a bed was not a painful experience.
“I’m fine! He shouted from beneath the bed before turning back to the blond. “C’mon Bosco, let’s get you out of here.”
Softly, Orion nudged the shifter towards the other edge of the bed. He hoped he could persuade Bosco to leave the cramp confines of beneath the bed. At least then the blond could receive proper attention and be able to sit more comfortably.
[newclass=".carvetext"]font-family:Source Sans Pro;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;padding:15px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;[/newclass][newclass=".carvecredit"]width:475px;font-size:12px;text-align:right;margin-left:5px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","carvetext"]The outlying problems displayed to Orion made it impossible to think of immediate solutions. Everything shifted abruptly, without warning or pause to allow the dark-haired a chance to ponder his situation. Stress piled on the officer's shoulders as he leaned against the bed frame, waiting for the blond shifter to leave from beneath his bed. These circumstances were ill-favourable since squeezing beneath the bed was difficult, however, not impossible if Orion tried hard enough to crawl beneath the cramped space.
A frustrated sigh escaped the human's lips as he struggled to handle the circumstances. He needed to speak to the child beneath his bed. For years, Orion had genuinely believed Bosco was an st. bernard, therefore, conflicting emotions wreaked havoc upon his mental state. In the silent room, the sounds of rapid breathing broke the silence followed by coughing. The noises made Orion stiffen as a realization arrived, hitting him with the force of a hammer. Beneath his bed, the young, blond boy was having a panic attack, something common with anxiety disorders.
Without hesitation, Orion returned to the floor, peeking beneath the bed. "Bosco?!"
Moments later, the black-haired man pressed flat against the carpeted floor, accomplishing an army crawl, narrowly squeezing beneath the bed. Once under the cramped space, there was little room for the police officer, however, he pressed forward with some determination. Closer, his crawling brought him to his beloved, former dog, Orion reaching out a hand to grab Bosco's arm.
"It's okay, breath," Orion murmured, rubbing his arm.
Originally, the young man would rub his dog's back to soothe those anxieties, however, options were limited and Orion was struggling to move beneath the bed. Gradually, he attempted to get closer, hoping to gain a better position to "pet" Bosco in hopes it would calm the tensions.
[newclass=".carvetext"]font-family:Source Sans Pro;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;padding:15px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;[/newclass][newclass=".carvecredit"]width:475px;font-size:12px;text-align:right;margin-left:5px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","carvetext"]Emotions were conflicting as Orion tried his best to assist his st. bernard through the difficult circumstance. Everything happened quickly enough to stun the black-haired man, the actions he took seemingly manual because of the intense contradicting feelings. He supposed the situations which happened daily in his career assisted in allowing him to keep moving despite the unexpected surprise. With his occupation, Orion was used to unexpected changes and had learned to handle them respectfully.
While inside there was contradiction, confusion and concern, he maintained the expression of calmness. He needed to given the frightening occurrences happening around him on the regular or for these peculiar moments. As Orion laid against the floor, he gazed under the bed, discovering the small, blond child. Hidden beneath the bed, his precious dog turned human remained, stating how he was a dog. The dark-haired man lifted a brow, confused by Bosco's insistence of being a dog despite shifting into a human creature.
Species could not be conclusively decided because of the amount of animal-shifting creatures, but Orion knew Bosco was among them.
"What do you mean you're a dog? You're a boy. Now come out, that isn't a good place for you," Orion stated, his voice a tad hard.
Only moments later did Elysia's soft voice each his ears, the police officer slowly sitting up. His steel-blue eyes locked on her, surprised by her assistance. A sigh escaped his lips, Orion laying his elbow on the bed to wait for the boy to scurry out from beneath his bed. The law enforcement officer hardly knew how to handle the situation, thus, a different approach was potentially in order.
[newclass=".carvetext"]font-family:Source Sans Pro;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;padding:15px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;[/newclass][newclass=".carvecredit"]width:475px;font-size:12px;text-align:right;margin-left:5px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","carvetext"]The steel-blue eyes of Officer Hollins glanced around Calico Forest, searching for the shifter he considered similar to a younger brother. The child was lost somewhere inside the forest according to his tracking app and Orion knew he needed to find him. The Calico Forest was a dangerous location for anybody, especially an anxiety-ridden child. Each step was slowly taken, eyes desperately searching in hopes of finding Bosco before something else lurking in the woods decided his precious friend was a good, vulnerable target.
As he moved deeper through the forest, the police officer's worries increased. Trees outstretched across the air, making it difficult to see long distances. A frown crawled onto Orion's face when he did not receive an answer from the shifter. What if something horrible happened? More steps were taken, a frantic nature entering each movement as his eyes gazed through the trees, seeking the young blond placed in his care. Finding Bosco was a top priority which left Orion with the option to keep moving and searching for the boy who was originally his pet.
The subtle clack of armour breached his ears, shattering focus as his gaze drifted, landing on somebody glad in medieval-esk armour with a young, blonde girl upon his shoulders. The officer tensed, uncertain about the scene which was unfolding, but he eased when a masculine voice spoke from inside the armour. A boy turned dog, a simple sentence which immediately made the black-haired man think of Bosco.
"I am," he answered, quiet with a slight hesitance.
When the mysterious man turned, Orion paused for merely a moment before following. He kept a wary caution to each step but trailed the stranger. Without any proper leads to Bosco's location other than a tracker used to give him a generalized area, the officer had few options. He needed to find the blond boy quickly, or the shifter would face those consequences for any slowness.
[newclass=".carvetext"]font-family:Source Sans Pro;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;padding:15px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;[/newclass][newclass=".carvecredit"]width:475px;font-size:12px;text-align:right;margin-left:5px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","carvetext"]Concern was expressed on Orion's face as he hurried through the house, heading towards his bedroom in search of the canine turned human. Throughout his life, Bosco was considered one of Orion's best friends, somebody the man could rely on. Through the cruelness of the world and malicious supernatural creatures, the st. bernard willingly offered himself as an ally. The creature was tender, a dog who constantly stood beside him without hesitation as the loyal animal he was expected to be. It was a welcomed experience throughout Orion's years.
Hastily, the police officer rounded the corner into his room, steel-blue eyes widened as he glanced around. He searched for one person, the mysterious blond who abruptly and unexpectedly replaced his dog. The dark-haired man was uncertain about what he would accomplish when he finally found Bosco, however, he required the opportunity to speak with the individual who assumed the position of companion. Immediately, Orion began surveying the room, eyes searching the ground for signs of his precious dog. Feelings were conflicted, confusing Orion throughout his search.
His eyes moved constantly as he glanced around the room, looking around his bed, checking areas around the furniture. He needed to find Bosco, however, in his human form, Orion was uncertain if he would pick the regular hiding spot. A soft voice called his name, prompting the dark-haired man to turn. He flinched upon witnessing Elysia at the bedroom's threshold.
"I saw him run in here... I don't think he is a dog," Orion explained slowly and quietly.
Everything about this meeting for blueberry muffins was going awry, which was frightening. He feared to push Elysia away because of the abrupt fiasco, however, he needed to find Bosco. After providing an answer, Orion crouched onto his knees, pressing against the floor to glance under the bed. There was a human-like child with a mess of blond hair and ruined clothes.
"Bosco... Come out," Orion requested.
The blond boy was formerly his dog, therefore, the RCMP officer attempted to use his mastery to persuade him out. Alas, the human was concerned Bosco would cease listening because of the revelation of him being a shifter.
[newclass=".carvetext"]font-family:Source Sans Pro;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;padding:15px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;[/newclass][newclass=".carvecredit"]width:475px;font-size:12px;text-align:right;margin-left:5px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","carvetitle"]I'm stronger than you think
[attr="class","carvedesc"]
How long do I have to prove myself for you to finally see that?! I work harder than anybody else, but you just keep dragging me down!
[attr="class","carvenotes"]@bosco , @inggot, @rose I HAS ARRIVED!
[attr="class","carvetext"]The newest version of "the norm" was integrated quickly into the Hollins household after they discovered Bosco's true species. The adorable St. Bernard was not merely a dog, but rather, a shifter who hid in his dog form. It was something completely unexpected and summoned conflicted emotions inside of Orion. Supernatural creatures were something that, under most circumstances, Orion despised. It was not neccessarily the creatures as a whole who manifested this opinion, but rather, the malicious hellhound father who nearly claimed his and his mother's life.
The man was purely a monster, hellbent on killing the people who opposed his will and decided to abandon him because of those abusive behaviours. The topic was sensitive but enough to create hatred for the human who nearly met Thanatos prematurely. Alas, Bosco was somebody who acted as a therapeutic source of attention in Orion's life. An animal who stationed himself beside him, assisting through the difficulties in Orion's life. Perhaps it was the reason the black-haired man failed to hate the young boy who helped him through the years.
Thus, Orion assisted his mother with processing the papers to have Bosco transferred as a Canadian citizen and later enroll him into the school system. The revelation meant they would be expected to help the shifter progress into becoming a productive member of society. While Bosco was against the notion of attending school, it was necessary to assure he could learn what was required to earn a degree. When early morning arrived, Orion would rouse Bosco, help him get prepared for school while Orion got prepared for another day at work.
Once breakfast was consumed and both parties were prepared for the day, Orion drove Bosco to school, escorting him into the building and reminding him he needed to stay and attend his classes. Afterwards, the police officer headed to his occupation which consisted of patrol-based work for the morning. The first escape attempt by Bosco was thwarted, thus Orion was under the assumption the shifter would stay and attend classes. For the morning they accomplished their duty before stomping for lunch at the station, however, misfortune would strike.
The police officer's phone had started ringing, Orion promptly answering it to discover Bosco left school during the noon hour, thus, he left work suddenly after explaining the situation. His colleagues promised to keep their eyes open, a majority being requested to patrol the area around the high school. Meanwhile, Orion exited work, heading to his car and bringing up the tracking app originally given to Bosco when he was a dog. Every morning, he planted the device on Bosco out of concern for these types of situations.
In haste, the black-haired man secured his phone to the specialized holder designed for when it acted as a GPS. Quickly, Orion pulled out of the police station's parking lot, heading onto the roads while following the map displayed on his phone through the streets and out of town. The destination was something that displeased the officer, Calico Forest, a piece of Lorsette's wilderness. There was plenty of land to cover inside the forest, thus the young man paused, grabbing his police radio.
"This is Officer Hollins, I followed Bosco's tracker and it seems to be in Calico Forest. Can you bring out reinforcements?" Orion requested in a serious, clear tone.
Under most circumstances, he would follow the tracker and find Bosco somewhere inside Lorsette; usually the TRS headquarters. Unfortunately, his former pet decided to lurk somewhere dangerous for most people to enter because of the terrors. An answer was provided over the radio, something along the lines of staying put until backup arrived. Initially, Orion had believed he could handle the situation on his own, however, he refused to stand down when the person who supported him could be in danger. The radio was returned to his lips.
"Can't do that, I'm not risking him being in danger. I will be careful," Orion stated, promising his safety,
Moments later, he walked forward, heading into the treeline, eyes scanning his surroundings as he searched for his beloved friend. The RCMP were likely to bring other vehicles to assist with the search, however, the black-haired man's worries made it impossible to disobey orders. He walked further into the woods, searching for signs of Bosco.
He cupped mouth with his hands, shouting loud and clear, "Bosco! Where are you?!"
After the call, he proceeded forward at a slower pace, ears listening for a return shout or the familiar barks of Bosco's dog form. He needed to find him as soon as possible.
[newclass=".carvetext"]font-family:Source Sans Pro;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;padding:15px;padding-left:20px;padding-right:20px;[/newclass][newclass=".carvecredit"]width:475px;font-size:12px;text-align:right;margin-left:5px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","carvetext"]A mild anxiety entered Orion upon opening the threshold and revealing the attractive, ginger-haired woman. A sheepish smile twitched onto the dark-haired man's face as he briefly gazed away before locking his eyes onto Elysia. There was something radiant about her beauty, everything seemingly lighting up in Orion's steel-blue eyes. The clothing she wore surprised Orion, the wondrous woman's body highlighted by a dress. The choice outlined her feminine figure, making his eyes briefly wander before returning to Elysia's face.
In preparation for Elysia's arrival, Orion had worried over his attire, fearful he would fail to appear pleasant. Physically, the police officer possessed an attractive, muscular body, however, he desired to create a charming presentation for the ginger-haired woman. The reasons behind these desires were unknown, but Orion allowed his thoughts to conquer. There was something special about Elysia, this "something" being unexplainable, yet, filled with splendour. These certain emotions never detected the notion of the dress being ill-favourable for this weather.
Nervously, Orion observed as Elysia's fingers tucked elegant locks of ginger hair behind her ear. He allowed his former schoomate through the threshold before closing the door softly behind her.
"I'm good... Happy to have a day off, you know?" Orion answered, attempting small talk. "And I am sure you brought enough."
A smile remained stretched across his face, Orion's positive emotions increasing the longer he spoke with Elysia. The container was handed over, the human smoothly sliding it onto the nearby kitchen counter. Only moments later did a voice narrowly reach Orion's ears, prompting his steel-blue eyes to glance over to the couch. Stationed on the couch was a small, blond boy. Eyes widened as the police officer witnessed the stranger fall from the couch and crawl towards his bedroom. The location the ragged-clothed child was originally where the St. Bernard was laying...
Elysia's words were heard, however, Orion remained silent as the truth smashed into him similar to a sledgehammer. The st. bernard who he tended to and appreciate the company of was a supernatural creature.
"... Bosco?" Orion mumbled.
Wordless, he rushed through the living room, heading to his bedroom where the blond-haired boy left. Shock stunted his ability to communicate, his thoughts locked directly onto the family member who revealed himself as the one thing he despised... Conflicting emotions swirled, however, the police officer's uncertaintities failed to manifest hesitation as he entered his room and glanced around, searching for Bosco.
