As the site progresses and more members ask questions this will be added to. For the time being, questions that will presumably be asked will be listed here and answered. We do hope this does help to shed some light on a couple of things and allow you to get some of your questions answered. If you still have some questions to ask, please do since we may add it here to help other members with similar questions~!
DO CHARACTERS HAVE TO START AS APPRENTICES?
Nope, your character may start as any rank, even high ranks so long as they are not taken.
IF I DO START WITH AN APPRENTICE CHARACTER, HOW LONG IS TRAINING?
Training should at least consist of one in classroom thread and two mentoring thread. If there are activity complications (with mentor or thread participants) then we will likely just let you slip pass. You may remain in mentoring longer if you would like for the sake of your character's story. It would be more sensible for an apprentice to be in training for roughly a month and a half to two months. Scouts are an exception and only require one classroom thread and one mentoring thread since their training period is briefer.
CAN MY CHARACTER BE ASSOCIATED WITH TERRORS/ZEREDAH?
Yes, by all means, your character can be associated with the antagonists in our little story. However, if you want a direct connection with Zeredah (aka not a brief recruitment), please message the staff. Since Zeredah is a plot-oriented character we need to know what exactly she is getting into.
DOES MY CHARACTER HAVE TO BE A TRS MEMBER?
No, although TRS members will likely receive terror horde plots every now again. Either way, no matter what your character is, they still get affected by the terror epidemic and will be able to participate in plot threads. An excellent example is criminals who can often keep cover due to the constant terror attacks, making them less likely to get caught.
WHAT IS THE YOUNGEST A CHARACTER CAN BE?
A character can be a youngest of 8 years of age around here.
IF I MAKE A SPECIES, DO I GET ALL THE ABILITIES LISTED, OR JUST THREE?
Species get all of their listed abilities since the species itself gets natural weaknesses that assist in balancing it out compares to the rest. For example, a lot of Hell species can get burned by holy water.
WHO/WHERE DO I REPORT CODING/THREAD ERRORS?
Thread errors, such as spelling/grammar related can be reported to any staff member on The Duality of Man. Coding errors are personally handled by Chibi Magician who is the site's main coder and therefore these errors should be reported to her.
ARE THE MAGICAL SPECIES UNKNOWN TO THE HUMAN WORLD?
No, the existence of all monsters has been confirmed for millions of years, going even beyond the War of Traitors. Since Heaven and Hell's gates were opened at that time, people became very familiar with the creatures living among them. As this transitioned to modern times, their existence was still known.
SHOULD NAMES BE WRITTEN IN THE WESTERN STANDARD?
Yes, please. It makes it easier to maintain the western standard for all registered accounts.
HOW LARGE IS LORSETTE?
We've estimated that Lorsette is roughly 300km2.
