Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,

Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.

Time had passed by slowly since his escape from Lord Razyl's castle. The world was unfamiliar to him... intimidating and scary, even, for he'd never step foot outside of the grand castle walls prior to his rescuers arriving. Everything was vast... and surprisingly less cleanly and grand seeming than how his daydreams and fantasies of the outside world would look like. Lorsette was the first city he'd ever been to, and he felt much like a newborn duckling, waddling and struggling to stay afloat in the bustle of the city's streets.
He'd spent ample time within the underground headquarters of the Cooperative his newfound guardian and ally, Cashel, belonged to whilst being introduced to the group and properly made an equal among them. It was evident that Alfonse couldn't be abandoned, left to fend for himself when he'd spent his whole life in the isolation of Lord Razyl's quaint and royal estate... the world was harsher, crueler and less forgiving than what the boy could realize. Dangers of monsters lurking around ever corner further reinstated the fact that Alfonse needed to be welcomed into the Cooperative's community, becoming a contributing member while in return receiving protection from the world and from being found.
A charm-infused pendant wore upon his neck, one that he was never to take off if he didn't wish to be tracked by Razyl. It was but within recent times when he was given a tour of the city by Cashel, being introduced to the main components of what Lorsette had to offer. He was too given a cellphone, one to use for staying in touch with his cooperative peers and Cashel himself. He was reminded, over and over, that they would be like a family to him...
As he strolled outside into the cool, frosty winter air of Lorsette City he could see his breath visibly breathing out in front of him. It was a cold afternooon... he would have often spent days like this reading by the large fireplace of his bedroom, or making snow angels and snowmen in the garden courtyards. His life felt like a lie to him... and what had once been fond memories of being raised within the castle of Lord Razyl's ruling was met with betrayal and confusion.
He tried not to think about it as he walked the short distance to a restaurant called the Golden Spoon. He was to meet with Cashel for a late afternoon lunch... and to discuss his options for work involving the Cooperative. The man's goal was to have him as established as possible, while being a guiding hand along the way.
Being outside left a looming anxiety over him... one that he was growing accustomed to through his sparse outings. So long as he didn't leave Lorsette, and didn't take off his necklace, he'd be safe... thats what he kept telling himself.
Entering the Golden Spoon, Alfonse's fox ears gently twitched upon the sudden warmth hitting against him from the inside heater. He meekly looked around, hoping to see Cashel already seated... but as he looked over the tables, the man was nowhere in sight. His stomach hurt, both from hunger and nerves due to being on his own in a still unfamiliar world... but it hadn't been his first time particularly entering this restaurant. He'd been here before with Cashel for breakfast, and it was largely why Cashel suggested they meet here today. It was close, and Alfonse knew where to go.
A soft sigh left him, before Alfonse found a table by a window... that way he could watch for his ally. It was but moments later when a waiter came over, Alfonse instantly straightening his posture with alertness from his sensitive ears catching sound of his footsteps.
"Good afternoon, sir! Welcome to the Golden Spoon, I will be your server,"
Opening his hand, he brought forth a menu for Alfonse to take, and the Kitsune anxiously smiled with dazzling Aquamarine hues shyly avoiding his gaze.
"May I ask how you are on this fine day?"
The young man was friendly in demeanor, incredibly so. B-but Alfonse... wasn't the most well-socialized, and found himself internally fumbling for an answer. "A-ah, u-um, thank you..." He politely attempted his words, upon being offered the menu. His hands held it, lowered against the table, and his gaze wavered shyly to the boy's fair complexioned face. "I-I'm well, h-how... how are you?" He asked in return.

season: autumn » time of day: morning » tag: open !
Oceanic waves gently rolled over the silver sands, dampening the shoreline in a lingering seafoam as the waves sustained their rinsing rhythm back into the water's depths. It was a cold, chilly morning.... the sea's breeze cascading over the beach mercilessly and hinting the nearing of winter.
With his hood over his head, the points of his ears were visible from underneath the fabric, his cloak floating behind him as he took a peaceful stroll along the shore. Alfonse had come here twice before, having been first introduced to Starlight Beach by Cashel while the man was giving him a tour of the city... and it easily became his favorite destination.
He'd never been near the ocean before, only ever hearing about it in the books he read and seeing pictures of them on canvas paintings positioned around the castle. He never realized that the ocean had a distinctive aroma, nor that it sounded so tranquil... yet powerful in the way the waves roamed.
As he came to a halt, facing the water entirely, Alfonse's Aquamarine eyes calmly... and thoughtfully gazed out at the broad horizon of endless ocean. What else had Razyl kept him sheltered from? What else had he not known about in the world, beyond its dangers and the scenic mountain ranges?
His hand gently grasped the golden glowing orb of his necklace... his only means of protection... from being found. Its warmth radiated in his palm, and he continued holding it with his wrist over his heart. His feelings were still confused, and conflicted.... for Razyl had always been kind to him. Always. Up until his rejection... when the demonic entity locked him away, refusing to let him out until he changed his mind regarding his proposal.
Now, his feelings regarding the man were a jumbled mess.... he cared about him, yet felt disgusted by him. He missed his childhood being cared for within the castle, yet was relieved by finally finding freedom away from the fortress... such thoughts tortured him endlessly, wondering if he'd been blind all along or if Razyl had truly changed upon the boy becoming an adult.

SPECIES water kitsune
appearance
Alfonse is a very soft-featured individual. His face is gently sculpted with a small button-like nose, and his pale peach complexion is lightly dusted with freckles upon his cheekbones and the bridge of his nose. The young man has very soft, wispy tousled hair that is a light auburn shade with subtle highlights of gold. It has a healthy glow, and is long enough to twist over his eyes and the middle region of his neck.
Alfonse has a princely, gentle and feminine beauty surrounding him that is largely associated with his lithe graceful frame, soft facial sculpture, and the long eyelashes lacing around his eyes. They are large, round, and Aquamarine in color, looking as though his orbs hold an ocean inside of them.
His clothing is neat, tidy, and with a subtle sophistication to them. Some attire is more sophisticated than others but overall, he dresses appropriately and accordingly to the event. He likes jackets, sweaters, cardigans, and layering clothing if the weather permits it.
Something that distinguishes him clearly are his Kitsune features. He has large, furry fox ears that are both fringed and tipped in a cream white. They move and twitch with his expressions and are generally very expressive in nature. He naturally has three tails, all of which are plush and silky-soft to the touch. Both his ears and his tails are a touch redder than his actual hair atop his head. In his full Kitsune form, his fur is a desirable plush pelt and he has very sleek features with white hinting around his eyes and cheeks.
Alfonse has the ability to manipulate existing water sources. He's able to use his palms to sway swirling water into his possession, and use it to his advantages. He's learnt this ability almost as though it's second nature to him, having used water manipulation as a means of playing alone and entertaining himself for a very long time. He enjoys making various shapes and movements with water, and creating his own orb-like bubbles with them. Because of his private tutoring and training regarding his abilities, Alfonse has become very ahead of his years in how easily he can summon water and to what lengths he can use it. He's learnt how to create a large water bubble to enclose himself inside, though this takes a lot of energy and focus to perform. He is capable of protecting and fighting for himself through this ability.
Illusions -- Intermediate.
Never used in a malicious form, Alfonse has used Illusions for similar reasons as he has with water. Aside from the teachings of his Illusionist Master, he's used illusions while playing games such as hide and seek or tag, or playing pretend. They are quick to fade but can be convincing as a visual facade before then, usually having a vague holographic transparency. He has been able to capture the essence of 'smell' too with certain objects and is dabbling in developing more senses. His illusions are starting to become more solid in form and disguising inanimate objects, though these cases are rare as he's still learning. He also likes using Illusions to tell stories, mimicking the characters from novels and old tales.
Hexes -- Advanced.
Alfonse's abilities in Hexing dwell in the realm of Healing, Teleportation, and Sight. He is the better skilled in Healing, being passionate and inspired in saving the lives of those wounded. Unlike his fluency with Hex Healing, he's slow in manifesting other hexes due to how careful and cautious he is to detail. His strengths are Supportive more so than Offensive at this point.
Curses -- Beginner.
Alfonse's desire to help others in a positive light has rendered his ability to Curse weak and improbable. He will never willingly perform a Curse, unless if it were in desperation to bring back a deceased loved one.
Kitsune Transformation -- Mastered.
Being a Kitsune, Alfonse has the ability to transform into a Fox. Naturally, in his humanoid form, he has fox-like features such as Fox ears and three trails. He has good control of being able to transform into a Fox and has mastered being able to transition between a humanoid and a kitsune-like creature. He is very nimble in his fox version of himself, and in this physical state, has enhanced speed.
Natural Traits
Alfonse can breathe under water and has increased sense of smell that can help him detect the unique scents of nearby creatures. Lastly, he is Immortal. He will never grow old nor will he ever die from aging.
backstory
misc
He enjoys sweets and admires prettily crafted desserts. He loves swimming and taking long baths. He enjoys reading and hearing about legends and folktales. He knows how to play the piano.
Having to introduce himself in front of a whole classroom of unfamiliar faces... o-of those his age... was extremely uncomfortable and awkward for him. None of his private lessons and classes through the clan had so many people in them, and they were all for the most part somehow associated with his parents... s-so it really wasn't that nerve-inducing. They weren't total strangers. B-but... this... was much different.[break][break]
He couldn't help but to anxiously turn his head to look in the direction Preston went off to, but tried to keep his gaze focused on the students in front of him... o-or the ground. "Thank you, Alfonse. You two may continue your tour." The teacher politely dismissed him, and Alfonse couldn't be more discomforted and unsettled. D-did he even do okay with everything he said? What if he completely ruined his first impression with everyone? He.... h-he stammered too much, didn't he? Ugh...[break][break]
Alfonse politely bowed his head towards the teacher, sucking in his lower lip and being unable to hide an expression of nervousness as he was quick to look back where Preston stood towards the door. With a gesture, he readily followed. Once they were in the hallway again, a shaking breath left Alfonse, not quite relieved... but a combination of unsettling worries and being glad to be out of there. [break][break]
"U-Um, so... that was Mr. Henderson?" He asked to try and get his mind off of how much he may have messed up his introductory speech, "He, um, seems nice..." Alfonse awkwardly added.
Silence arose in the tranquil nighttime garden view before him... yet unease once more captured his heart as Alfonse's Aquamarine eyes scanned the trees, flowers, shrubbery and statues that decorated the garden's land.[break][break]
He didn't immediately see anything but it was but moments after when a bright orange blur caught sight of his eyes and he instantly froze and tensed in place. Out upon the grassy green lawn, a petite.... young looking girl had appeared before his eyes, with fair hair and skin that glowed in the moonlight.[break][break]
Sh-she certainly didn't look like someone from Dawn of Shadowstride, being visibly quite young and dressed differently than those whom which he'd grown up seeing, a-and it only further sent a rush of nerves and shock to his frame. His large eyes fixated on the figure down below... who stood with a nearly brave stance. A-as though... fully accepting his curios attention as opposed to sneaking away from it.[break][break]
Alfonse pushed himself onto his feet and quietly gulped through the nervous knot that tied itself within his throat. "... Wh-who are you? Wh-what are you doing here?" He asked, raising his voice so that it carried out through the peaceful demeanor of the outside gardens. Was this a trespasser? Someone who was so small... and fearless? Was this someone's daughter from the clan, however unlikely that seemed? Was it... a-a thief who was caught in the act?
Peach blossoms fragrantly touched his nose from where Alfonse sat upon the strong tree branch outside his bedroom's balcony, soothing him successfully albeit not entirely from his nightmares. His mind was troubled... and he attempted to focus all his senses on the aromas and sounds around him, to remind himself of what was reality and find comfort in knowing his nightmare wasn't part of it. Blossoms, fruit, lavender, roses... cool, crisp coastal air... the garden's many fresh-trimmed bushes. All of it was much more real, and peaceful, and safe than where his slumbering mind had wandered off too.[break][break]
A different scent soon caught him by surprise, however-- the smell of.... another presence. He opened his eyes into a soft narrow and almost immediately saw what looked like a pair of animal airs briskly blinking above the strong walls enclosing the manor. In a flash they were gone, and his eyes opened much wider in both surprise and curiosity. "Huh...?" He murmured quietly and did a double-glance, only to find no such sight.... but as he sniffed the air once more, the same differentiating scent lingered in the air. A combination of human and wolf.[break][break]
The sound of vague wrestling through the leaves and stirring of gravel grabbed his attention even more and the boy placed his hands down upon the bark of the branch, leaning forward in the direction he thought he heard something. His bright Aquamarine eyes lit through the darkness as they curiously sought through the gardens where he sat perched.... and upon hearing another wrestling noise, his heart nervously thumped in his chest. H-he was just... unnerved from his dreams, is all. Alfonse tried to reassure himself with an anxious smile, attempting to comfort his mind filled with unease. [break][break]
The fine silk drapes of his balcony gently swayed from where a gust of wind blew in, stirring the papers on his desk. He couldn't shake off that smell, though... maybe it were someone from the clan, taking their leave outside. His legs lightly swung back and forth... and it was then when he caught sight of what looked like another person down below near the wall and numerous blossom trees. "Ah!" He nervously gasped out, caught-off-guard, "H-hello? I-Is... someone there?" He still believed it was someone from his father's relations with Dawn of Shadowstride, but even then... i-it was kind of creepy at this time of night to be wandering the gardens...
In the late night hours, the Sinclairé's reclusive manor was vacant of bustling activity. Down on the first floor in a secret room hidden behind bookcases and a winding stairwell, his parents were discussing private matters with the Apothecaries, a handful of high-ranked guardsmen, and a few other leaders of their clan. Not even Alfonse, their own son, was let in on the secret meeting taking place at such a late time of night... and it was of utmost intention that he stayed out of this private matter. He, instead, laid alone in his bedroom upstairs where a gentle breeze blew in through the open window by his bed with open curtains revealing a balcony view of the gardens. The boy was in a slumber... but not one of peacefulness.[break][break]
His dreams were haunted by horrific images of frightening shadowy creatures and poachers wearing gruesome masks out of a horror story chasing him in his fox-form. However quickly he tried to out-run them, he would stumble and fall and only be met with more danger and fright. The sounds of guns firing and cruel shouting hollered and echoed throughout the strange, blurring world his paws ran through. A feminine voice cried out his name, telling him to run.... and when the Kitsune thought he'd reached safety, having found what appeared to be sanctuary by a kind man's arms, the man's demeanor entirely changed into that of the monstrous poachers.... strangling him until--[break][break]
Gasping loudly, Alfonse jolted into an up-right position in his bed, breathing heavily in terror with a heart thudding frantically in his chest. "A-ah..." He stammered out in a shaking breath, trying to steady his breathing. His palms felt sweaty where they gripped the white sheets beside him... and as his frightened eyes scanned the silence of his room, he felt himself slowly calming down from his dream. His breath shakily exhaled once more, gulping through the dryness of his parched throat. He squeezed his eyes shut, rubbing at them in a stressed manner as he felt a few stray tears leave. The nightmare was one he kept having ever since he woke up from his sleeping curse, persistently haunting him with every passing week. It felt like a hallucination cast upon him.... yet so real in the terror that was imposed on him by the shadowy figures and poachers....[break][break]
He hadn't spoken of the nightmare, nor was he sure what to gather from it... had it merely been once or twice, Alfonse may have chosen to ignore it.... but now... h-he wondered if there was some meaning behind the dreariness. Slipping one leg then the other out from under his bed sheets, Alfonse turned himself to face the balcony of his room. A deep night sky shown over the peach blossom trees, with petals visibly gliding in the breeze and onto the balcony's exterior. Everything was so peaceful... yet Alfonse felt as though he'd just left a horrible alternative reality, unsettling him deeply.[break][break]
Standing up, Alfonse opened his door cautiously so that it didn't squeak too loudly... and checked the hallway to see if his parents' door to their bedroom was closed. Upon seeing it open and a living area light illuminating the stairwell, he leaned back into his room and closed the door shut. H-he... needed to get some fresh air and calm himself down.... like he'd begun doing whenever such nightmares tortured him at night. The boy opened his closet doors and stepped inside, grabbing a warm jacket off a clothing hanger and a pair of boots. He slid them on and cleverly, he climbed down his balcony and onto a peach tree that stood tall alongside the building's ivy-infested wall. The stars glistened beautifully along a crescent moon, blossoms dancing in a wind that ruffled his messy head of hair. From the tree branch he sat upon, he could see over the walls enclosing the historic manor.... trees for miles away and the canvas of starlight beach in the distance. He closed his eyes, steadying his anxiety-induced breathing as he took in the smell of flowers... the cool night sky.... and listened to the sound of chirping crickets.
The sound of paw-prints and the jingle of a collar followed Alfonse as he embarked on his departure. The glass doors slid open and upon hearing the name "Bosco!" being shouted out from behind him, the boy was caught off guard and turned around to see what the commotion was. To his surprise, it looked as though the dog were trying to follow him.... but had been stopped by the officer.[break][break]
A warm smile crossed the boy's expression. It was sort of sweet how the Saint Bernard took a liking to him, and had even wanted to follow him out.... however, he wasn't his dog and he had no right over him nor to stay and play with him until his owner arrived. Even if it were appropriate, he knew that he couldn't. He was expected home with the Apothecary ingredients he collected, and to attend a meeting for the clan later that day which meant preparation needed to be made.[break][break]
A small, shy wave gestured from Alfonse's as he gazed at the dog before turning back around and finishing his way out the door. The glass doors slid closed, and the boy's figure could be seen stepping down a short flight of paved stairs.
In a blazing whirl of glowing purple and black magic, they were teleported right to the very doors of the police station. A blink of magic appeared in place of them before the two appeared, drawing attention from a few people inside of the station as the doors slid open to enter. Alfonse's stomach felt uneasy, being further away from where he knew he was supposed to be... b-but he couldn't have just left someone's pet all by itself in the middle of a forest! A-and, he was going to teleport back home! Such thoughts raced through his head along with his typical sheepishness around strangers as he ensured that the dog followed him inside.[break][break]
An officer seemed to have instantly recognized the dog and spoke aloud their name, indicating that either this canine got out often or had some form of relationship with the owner. "Thank you for bringing him back here. I'll contact Orion and let him know that Bosco is at the police station now." The officer proceeded to say and Alfonse nervously smiled. "O-of course, I-I'm happy to help..." He stammered out shyly. It looked like that... w-was actually a lot easier than he thought it would be.[break][break]
Feeling soft fur against his hand, Alfonse looked down and saw that Bosco had brushed his head up against him. The gesture softened the boy's features and he turned to crouch down to his level. With the same hand he nudged, he gave the canine a gentle scratch on the shoulder. "I'm glad you're safe now. Make sure to stay real close with your owner, okay?" His voice, soft and caring, was quiet enough so that only the dog could hear. With that, he stood straight up again and begun heading out towards the doors. He was going to draw up another hexing circle to transport himself back near home. Hopefully he'd gathered enough to make the Apothecaries of his family's clan happy... and hopefully, the dog would soon be reunited with his owner.
Luckily, the canine was still enough for Alfonse to get a better look at the collar, using his hand to gently turn it side-ways to find a name tag that had the name "Orion Hollins" on it and an address along with a phone number. This was certainly someone's pet and either they lost him while on a walk, or the canine had wandered far. Alfonse had never owned any pets before, thus he wasn't quite familiarized with the nature of dogs beyond knowing that they loved food and barked. Thus, it was difficult... and a little uncomfortable for him to pin-point what exactly to do next.[break][break]
"I see... so his owner's name is Orion Hollins..." Alfonse spoke quietly to himself in thought, thoughtfulness and uncertainty beginning to show within his Aquamarine gaze. He couldn't just leave this creature all alone by himself... with a soft sigh, he looked up and scanned the area to see if he could detect the owner or at least their scent anywhere nearby. No such luck was found.[break][break]
"W-well, little guy, let's find your owner," He decidedly stood onto his feet with his satchel over his shoulder, giving the dog a hesitant and careful pat on the head. It was then an idea came to mind, and he lightly smiled. "Hm... which may be easier than it seems..." Fishing through his satchel, he took out a piece of chalk and looked off towards a smooth boulder nearby. Perfect! "Come on Bosco!" He called as he begun heading over towards the boulder, patting his leg to try and beckon the dog onward. [break][break]
He intended on drawing up a hexing symbol to teleport himself and the canine to the police station, where hopefully the owner would be notified of a missing dog. He, himself, didn't know of the neighborhood thus he couldn't accurately teleport the dog right home... b-but this was a decent enough of an alternative. Busily he went at work, using the chalk to draw defined lines and symbols and gradually forming a large enough circle for the both of them. He corrected a few smudges before stepping back and smiling confidently at his work. "All right..." He breathed in for preparation, the portal he drew up beginning to spark in purple magic through the drawn symbols. The magic begun to whirl brightly as a black shadowy wisp wove throughout the chalk, initiating a portal gateway. "You ready, little fellow?" Alfonse asked, looking to the dog and extended his hand out towards him, once more beckoning him to come close.
When glancing around the Saint Bernard's neck, Alfonse managed to catch sight of a collar in the midst of his furry mane. Ah-hah! So, this really was someone's pet! This brought even more confirmation to the boy that there really wasn't much to worry about in terms of this creature being a shape-shifted species. The human scent was clearly rubbed off on this little guy from his owner. Speaking of his owner... where were they?[break][break]
Alfonse bit his lip with a slight sense of nervousness as he carefully reached forward while the canine nodded, which was... kind of odd, as though he actually understood him. "It's okay, little guy..." He murmured soothingly with the attempts of comforting him, just in case if he were hesitant about a stranger leaning forward towards him. He had enough time to grasp the collar and turn it to find the name "Bosco" on it. "Ah, so your name is Bosco," He smiled brightly at the dog, "Hello, Bosco. You're a good boy. Now, if only I knew where you came from,"
The canine seemed to enjoy the snack and Alfonse's face brightened with a more so comfortable, and less apprehensive smile. The treat was quickly eaten up and it wasn't but a few moments before the dog looked up at him as though asking for more. The boy's smile grew and he gently laughed. "I'm sorry, but I only have one more piece left," He admitted and hummed to himself, "But, I could split it..."[break][break]
Reaching into his satchel once more, he retrieved the last slice of fresh baked short bread and broke it in half. His mother was unlikely to be pleased with him for sharing with an animal, but he knew there was still plenty back at home among other snacks his mother was happily baking for their many guests. "Okay, here, have this," The Kitsune decided as he set the split-halved short bread before the canine again, "Hm...." Curiously he lowered his head, looking about the dog's neck to see if it had a collar. "Are you all alone?" He murmured thoughtfully, though of course he expected no verbal response. He was talking to what was increasingly seeming to be a normal dog.
The Saint Bernard went from standing in a guarded disposition to sitting in place, something Alfonse was able to make sense from between the wild berry branches that veiled between them. Within seconds, however, the canine stood up on all four paws and cautiously inched towards him. This brought a broader smile to Alfonse's face, of which case shown a friendly aura around him. Maybe it really was simply a dog... with the scent of the owner still on him. [break][break]
He patiently waited with the shortbread still in hand and upon the canine nearing him, the creature reached a paw out towards the treat... which both dawned upon Alfonse a moment of finding the Saint Bernard adorable for such a cautious and sweet little gesture and both pondering yet again whether if it were an ordinary dog or something much different. It was so hard to tell...! He couldn't imagine a normal dog doing what this one just did, wouldn't they normally just go in for a bite? B-but then again, he wasn't exactly the most familiarized with dogs...[break][break]
Decidedly, the boy set the short bread down before the dog and sat straight back up with both hands placing themselves upon his bare knees. "Here you go, little fellow," He softly spoke again with the same friendly smile, "My mother baked them this morning. They're really good!" The canine sneezed once more, then again, and again.... and the boy couldn't help but to gently laugh a little before he, himself, sneezed from the pollen tickling his nose.
When Preston mentioned that he was an angel, Alfonse's face lit with visible surprise and interest. Such interest was then met with self-consciousness about himself and having been born a Hell Species... what if Preston didn't like those of his kind? The thought saddened him and dampened the sliver of hope he had for possibly already making a new friend before class started... a-after all, he knew that Heaven and Hell species were often at odds with one another. It was one of many reasons why his parents, whom were both of Heaven's kind, kept his identity as a Kitsune a secret and that the boy had been raised to allow most others to assume he was a Nymph because of his eyes.[break][break]
But... maybe Preston wasn't like that..... maybe the boy would still accept him for who he was. He, too, knew that not all those of Heaven's kind were unpleasant towards his species. He had his parents, after all! They were nice to him, as were his father's closest colleagues who knew about his true identity. [break][break]
The moment Preston mentioned meeting Mr. Henderson and having both heard and smelled the presence of other students, Alfonse felt a swarm of nervousness surface within his stomach. O-oh goodness, the moment was actually here... the moment where he'd be face to face with the very students he was potentially going to be learning with. He quietly gulped as the blonde knocked on the door and when someone came to open the door, his face instantly burned warmly much to his own misfortune. G-great, now he was probably turning red...[break][break]
He shyly followed Preston inside, tension rising within his body as bright Aquamarine eyes danced briefly over the heads of students at their desks. His gaze abruptly returned to Preston before befalling the teacher, shyly and very nervously smiling at the man known as Mr. Henderson.[break][break]
He could feel the eyes of many looking right at him and it was... r-really uncomfortable. The teacher's weakened smile was met with an uncertain one from Alfonse. "H-hello--" He begun softly before nervously reminding and bracing himself for facing the rest of the students... while being at the very front of the classroom. Clearing his throat, he bowed his head politely."Hello...! M-my name is Alfonse Sinclairé. I-I'm from the Icelandic Highlands," He introduced, his voice slightly shaking. 'Come on, don't sound so scared!' He silently scolded himself, "It's nice to meet all of you... I-I hope we can be friends,"
