Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
The most incredible time for Nathan was being around Tristan, even though they were merely waiting for their ride. Gratifying was the correct word to describe the situation, a grin remaining on the vampire's face while he maintained a tight grip on his boyfriend's hand. The warmth shared through the romantic action travelled to Nathan's heart, the muscle warming in satisfaction to being around this incredible man. When blush tinted Tristan's face, the grin widened as the hunter's yellow-green eyes fixated on his human lover. Witnessing the blond blush was adorable, nothing comparing to the sublime view of red painting itself across his boyfriend's handsome face. Falsely, Nathan believed he was champion of making his boyfriend blush until Tristan proved his excellence with a vague statement about rewarding him. Immediately, blood rushed to the vampire's cheeks as he glanced towards his the blond with surprise entering his eyes.
There were thoughts taken towards the possibility of the reward, his curiosity grabbing him. Excitement coursed through his veins, the desire to gain knowledge of the prize increasing immensely. The mere suggestion of receiving anything from Tristan resulted in the vampire's heart fluttering.
"What kind of reward?" The vampire inquired, curiosity breaching his voice.
Knowledge was required, especially since the reward was mentioned with vague information which left Nathan clueless as to what it entailed. The wait for their ride passed pleasantly when Tristan began snuggling into his arm. A broad grin perked the corners of the vampire's lips upwards as he derived enjoyment from the affection his boyfriend was providing. There was no competition when it arrived at the concept of Tristan being the best boyfriend, the blond's affection easily stealing Nathan's heart; although, the vampire would have allowed for that considering the incredible nature of his lover. The hunter began surveying the area, making certain that nothing was awry when suddenly a pair of gentle lips touched his cheeks. The soft kiss resulted in blood propelling to Nathan's cheeks, turning them a bright shade of red from the display of love. Shortly, the vampire's gaze flitted towards Tristan with surprise before sheepishly shifting to a smile.
"You're so sweet," he murmured gently.
When Nathan's eyes returned to the streets, he noticed a short, black limo approach the curb. The driver halted, the window rolling down to reveal the plump, elderly face of the Beckard Manor driver. The vampire provided a wave before reaching for the door to the luxurious backseats. Carefully, he grabbed the door, opening it before bowing in a gentlemanly manner and gesturing for Tristan to enter.
"You first, my beautiful Tristan," he said.
Patiently, Nathan waited for Tristan to enter the vehicle with a large smile remaining on his face. Once his boyfriend was safely in the limo, the vampire would take his seat beside him for a wonderful ride home.
A flinch touched Nathan's features as he stared with horror at the medium risk mutant barrelling towards him. The creature possessed bear-like characteristics, although, obscured by the metallic implements that protruded from its patchy pelt. Silva dribbled down in silvery tendrils from its large, opened maw. The frightening teeth that lined the creature's mouth were sharp, appearing to be metal implements opposed to natural bone. Giant black claws clanked against the asphalt as the imposing mutant closed the distance. There was the faint sound of metal constructs moving beneath the thin layer of flesh, mechanism moving in a smooth, rhythmic motion. There was always a sickening reality to these creature's, their contorted flesh disturbing, especially at a close distance. The vampire's yellow-green eyes analyzed the mutant carefully, watching as the mysterious boy dodged it. The chase had ceased the instant Nathan realized the cruel intentions the murderous Assembly member possessed.
The hunter remained still, his eyes locked onto the terror as citizens continued fleeing in a chaotic mass. A majority were immersed in the frightening reality of a mutant rushing down the street. The motionless vampire observed the creature grow closer, noticing its bloodthirsty eyes. The grip around the Bowie knife was tightened, Nathan's eyes narrowing as he fearlessly stared down the terror. The mutant leaped, paws reaching towards the vampire as its mouth opened wider, a loud snarl exiting. Immediately, the battle began as Nathan activated his enhanced speed, allowing him to smoothly feint right without consequence. The supernatural speed was used to send his knife speeding through the terror's flesh, resulting in the mutant crying out in pain. The swipes continued, Nathan taking advantage of his superior speed to damage the mutant's right shoulder. Several deep gashes were created until the terror swiftly turned, the backside of its paw colliding with Nathan's shoulder. Shallow cuts were created as the vampire backpedalled, the intense sharpness managing to rip through his uniform and graze the pale skin beneath.
The black razors returned, a proper swipe from the terror scoring a trio of deeper cuts across Nathan's chest. The vampire grimaced, retreating furthering from the mutant as pain burned into his chest. Blood dribbled from his wounds, already steadily soaking his once unscathed uniform. Shortly, a smirk drifted onto the vampire's face as he allowed the mutant to rush again. There was no feint as Nathan stood still, allowing himself to bleed until suddenly drawing the red liquid. There was a mingling of the mutant's blood accompanied by his, forming a hardened shield of blood. A loud thud informed the vampire of the mutants closeness, promptly allowing him to shrink the shield. The flat surface transformed, gaining several menacing points. There was a yowl of pain as Nathan attempted to lengthen the spikes. The sound of radio static became evident, a scout's voice travelling through the device and earning the vampire's attention. It was a distraction from his twisted game, his eyes flirting towards where the opposition had theoretically remained, only to discover the boy's disappearance. The shield was hardened, Nathan fetching the radio and drawing it to his lips.
"HE WHAT?! GET ME BACKUP THIS INSTANT! I AM KILLING THAT BRAT!" Nathan shouted into the radio.
Afterwards, the vampire continued dodging and weaving the mutant's attacks. The sport of murdering these creatures was not thrilling when there was a larger prize. When backup arrived, Nathan immediately departed to search for the Assembly member. Anger settled into his blood, reminding him of his foolish display in getting distracted by the mutant. That teenager was relating to the psychopath who murdered his precious older brother; THAT CRIME WOULD BE PAID FOR WITH LIVES! The vampire rushed, searching for the boy desperately until finally, the scout relayed information about the location. Without hesitation, Nathan began heading in that direction, being careless towards the wounds on his chest because of his intense craving for revenge. The grip around the knife's handle was tightened, the vampire closing the distance between himself and the scene. When his yellow-green eyes noticed the mysterious boy, a sadistic grin touched his lips.
"PREPARED TO DIE?!" Nathan screamed recklessly.
The vampire continued running forward, attempting to get close enough to slash out. There was a desire to inflict pain onto this horrible Assembly member who possibly ASSISTED IN TAKING DONOVAN AWAY FROM HIM! Mercy was entirely off the table, Nathan searching for blood, his vindictive thoughts fueling his determination.
Gaining the opportunity to kiss Tristan's cheek was a blessing to Nathan considering there were TRS members who were immensely cautious of his presence. The reaction towards him was reasonable, especially since nonstop threatening and outwardly sadistic attitudes were generally seen as not accepted as a social norm. A majority of people seeking the company of the average and like-minded folk, not the frightening vampire who waved a knife in their face. Fortunately, Tristan was an exception and was shielded from the negative attitude that Nathan displayed towards others since his boyfriend was too precious to witness the facade. There was a single exception, which was the abhorrent individuals who made the foolish decision to attempt and harm his Tristan. The promise was reassuring, allowing for Nathan to prepare his sadistic persona for possible Tristan protecting missions.
"Good, cause I don't want you getting hurt," Nathan said softly.
Allowing Tristan's father near his boyfriend again was officially forbidden to the vampire. The man was horrible and abusive both verbally and physically, and Nathan would be honoured to endlessly punch him until he was sludge on the sidewalk. While the opportunity to embrace Tristan remained, the green-haired teen enjoyed every moment of it. The close proximity was incredible, the vampire desiring a day they never parted from each other's arms. As they walked, their fingers intertwined, Tristan had brought up his new occupation at the TRS. There was mild hope that miraculously, Tristan decided to take up the occupation of healing, but Nathan was shortly disappointed. A pout touched his face as the blond continued, mentioning how joining the hunters was impossible.
"You better not join the hunters! YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO STAY SAFE!" Nathan exclaimed, keeping Tristan's hand closer for comfort.
There was a slight smile when Tristan mentioned scouting alongside his hacking skills; it suggested the opportunity for his boyfriend to avoid the field. The grin increased when the blond continued, stating that he would be stalking him. The concept of this beautiful man watching him made the vampire's heart flutter gleefully. After walking a bit further, Nathan stopped, carefully pulling Tristan's hand in an attempt to bring him closer. He leaned towards the blond's ear to whisper, a smirk evident across his face.
"I will make sure to do some sexy poses then," he flirted.
The sly grin remained on Nathan's lips while his open hand retrieved the phone from his pocket. Fluent finger movements were made across the screen, unlocking the device and revealing the numerous apps. A few soft clicks with his thumb opened the messenger, several names being displayed across the screen alongside a high number of texts beside both his parent's numbers. He seldom answered them, oftentimes refusing from his immense disdain towards them. The phone number of the Beckard Manor driver was clicked, the vampire hastily texting a request to be picked up. Once they returned home, Nathan planned to indulge his new boyfriend with attention in the form of snuggles.
There was a determined glint in Nathan's eyes as he continued chasing this mysterious boy. The endless taunts recited in Spanish were starting to infuriate the vampire to new heights as he followed, desiring to sink his knife into the ravenette's flesh repeatedly. The punishment seemed befitting for an individual who associated with the dastardly Assembly of Phantoms, although, he craved their suffering. Extensive hours of painful torment was the suggestion of his sadistic mind, insisting towards the concept of it being a necessity. The anger generated from the vampire's grief was overwhelming, forcing him forward without thoughts taken towards the possible repercussions of his reckless actions. The Assembly destroyed the closest definition the hunter had for a family; his constantly travelling parents being excluded from the significant individuals list long ago. They were atrocious, never providing that craved attention the green-haired boy desired from his parents.
The statement the Assembly member made towards being incapable of understanding English was ignored by Nathan despite the translation. Those threats were necessary to make certain this boy was aware of his intense anger; the tones could easily give away emotions. There was an instinctive requirement for shouting those remarks, a desperate impulse made in futile hope that the person would surrender; even if they were unable to comprehend the words! The continuous laughter grew obnoxious to Nathan, his yellow-green eyes narrowed as he chased the Assembly member. This condensed, moving group of citizens was delaying the vampire, creating difficulty in gaining the opportunity for a clear shot. There were people bumping into others, himself included among the group. Gradually, the number of bodies began lowering as they drifted outside the more condensed business area, making foot traffic lighter.
The opportunity was taken as the vampire activated a portion of his enhanced speed, allowing for him to move slightly faster. As distance was closed, Nathan managed to notice the fleeing individual which caused him to raise an eyebrow. The sudden dodge from the opposition accompanied by the harsh shoving of the citizen slowed the hunter down. The man who had been running crashed into him, nearly unbalancing the vampire from the sudden weight. Hastily, Nathan steadied the man before carefully pushing him into the direction he was running. A flinch crossed the hunter's face, his yellow-green eyes noticed the large medium risk mutant while he listened to the Spanish comment; perhaps it was gloating, although, Nathan remained uncertain. The terror growled, eyes locked onto the hunter as it began rushing towards them. There was no hesitation as the vampire tightened the grip on his knife, the blade slicing into his arm and ripping the fabric of his TRS jacket.
There was a mild pain, Nathan only grimacing for a moment. The blood oozed from the wound, feeling warm around his pale flesh; only for a few moments, it remained that way. Once the terror got into position, the red liquid surged forward in menacing points while the vampire activated his enhanced speed. In a fluent movement, he feinted to the right, dodging the oncoming attack and countering with his own bloody one.
Being granted the opportunity to hug Tristan after the incident inside was a blessing for Nathan. Once he was capable of embracing his boyfriend, he created a tight grip around him. Having his arms around Tristan was comforting, especially after the immense worry he felt when Tristan's father had threatened him. Despite his boyfriend being safe now, Nathan found it difficult to release him after what happened. The apology that the blond provided accompanied by the return of the embrace was pleasant. There was joy within the hug, Nathan tightening his grip when his boyfriend clung to him. Carefully, he leaned his head towards Tristan's cheek in hopes his boyfriend would allow for him to softly kiss it.
"I'm your boyfriend, I am supposed to worry about you," he murmured softly. "If your dad gets anywhere near you, I want you to tell me immediately, okay Tristan? Because if needed I will happily break his nose again."
Gently, the vampire began rubbing Tristan's back, keeping the important man held close to him. After the drama that unfolded within the manor, Nathan desired to comfort his boyfriend. Even if the past incidents of abuse could not be mended, the green-haired teen felt determined to provide comfort after this occasion. At the promising of ceasing the secrets, a smile stretched onto Nathan's lips as he squeezed Tristan. The notion of his boyfriend no longer maintaining secrets was pleasant, the vampire's heart fluttering with glee. There was trust in statements against keeping secrets, making Nathan overzealous with the concept. Slowly, he pulled away from Tristan, hastily taking the offered hand to intertwine his fingers with Tristan's. Once he possessed the heavenly feeling of holding his boyfriend's hand, they began walking down the sidewalk, increasing the distance between themselves and the house.
The moment Tristan began speaking, Nathan's eyes flitted back towards him as he waited for the blond to continue. The words that were whispered resulted in the vampire's expression shifting into a concerned shock. His precious Tristan had decided to join the TRS, which already raised numerous worries since the hunter knew the potential threats in vivid detail.
"WHAT?! PLEASE TELL ME YOU ARE A WARD MEDIC!" Nathan exclaimed as he began fretting.
There was no thought taken towards the lack of courage in certain occupations in the TRS since the vampire's protectiveness immediately increased. The concept of terrors or Assembly members hurting the sweet blond was concerning, especially after losing many significant individuals to those monsters. Should it be required, Nathan was determined to protect Tristan even if it meant getting injured in his boyfriend's place or worse.
There was no fun in the current situation for Nathan as he continued chasing the Spanish boy through the streets of Lorsette. The laughter escaping his target's lips was infuriating; THE BRAT WAS ENJOYING THIS! The vampire's eyes narrowed into a sharper glare as another growl escaped his throat. There was aggravation riling inside of the hunter since he loathed when Assembly members derived enjoyment from teasing him. The determination increased, shining in the green-haired hunter's eyes as he watched the boy slip through some citizens in an attempt to escape. Without hesitation, Nathan side-stepped the bystanders to get closer the Assembly member. Every word spoken in Spanish eluded the vampire, but it did not cease the intense anger that flowed through his veins. Despite this ravenette's young age, Nathan was going to TEAR HIM APART FOR WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS FAMILY!
"YOU WON'T BE LAUGHING WHEN I RIP YOU TO SHREDS!" Nathan shouted
Watching his bowie knife sink into the flesh of his opponent's arm was satisfying, although, aggravating since the wound would heal. Hastily, Nathan attempted to slash the Assembly member again in a desperate hope to deal more damage against the opposition. A mere side-step had allowed for the ravenette to dodge, resulting in another growl rising from Nathan's throat in frustration. The laughter was becoming incredibly aggravating for the vampire, especially since he desired it to be replaced with screaming! THIS ASSEMBLY MEMBER DESERVED TO SUFFER FOR ASSISTING ZEREDAH'S CAUSE! When the boy spoke Spanish again, the hunter rolled his eyes until hearing the translator state them in a robotic, English voice. The vampire glanced at the translator for a moment before flitting back towards the Assembly member.
"OH, JUST YOU WAIT UNTIL I AM BUTCHERING YOU! THEN YOU CAN TELL ME IF BEING A BRAT WAS WORTH IT!" Nathan responded, not caring if the boy could understand him.
When the boy began laughing again, Nathan glowered at him as he became more agitated. The entire situation was not supposed to be humorous and the vampire remained adamant to prove it. The running recommenced shortly after, the hunter giving the effort to weave through the citizens in hopes of capturing the ravenette. There were thoughts taken towards the possibility of waiting for a long stretch to sprint after this brat! At least running down a cleared street with his enhanced speed would allow him to reach the boy and end him, but Nathan was waiting for the perfect moment. Currently, the area was too crowded, making it immensely difficult to even attempt activating the ability. There was a tight grip on the bowie knife that turned Nathan's knuckles white as he continued chasing the Assembly member.
Bystanders were shortly becoming the most aggravating people during intense moments of battle, at least to Nathan. The woman appeared keen on ruining his fighting strategy, throwing him off without even a proper reason behind it! It resulted in a consistent glaring towards the redhead that was making the entire situation more difficult than needed. Already, the vampire had struggled through fighting the troublemakers under the assumption that the citizens would remain passive, but he was incorrect. Instead, they had placed him into the aggravating situation of injuries and actions more reckless than usual. There were tones of possessiveness that Demetria refused to admit; it was obvious given her snappish attitude towards him biting her male friend. Wordlessly, Nathan rolled his eyes at the redhead as she denied to truth again. A smirk shortly touched the hunter's face while he looked at his fellow vampire.
"Buuut, he gave me permission and last time I checked, I don't listen to prissy princesses," Nathan responded, chuckling. "Now scurry off and be a good girl before I am forced punish you."
There were sinister tones given towards the word punish in hopes they would cease the unnecessary assistance. The determination to push these individuals was increasing considering their behaviour was annoying Nathan immensely. More comments were made towards his personality, the male vampire rolling his eyes. The insult felt recycled, officially reaching points of obnoxiousness for the green-haired hunter. They were not the people he cared enough about to properly display the truth hidden beneath the sadistic expressions he wore.
"Oh yeah? Well, I can see yours too and I can understand why your man isn't flirting with you," Nathan rebuked.
While Demetria had insisted that Gideon was not her boyfriend, it did not stop Nathan from acquiring the concept as teasing material towards the redhead. There was some connection between the pair, and teasing them about it was mildly amusing to the male vampire. After the troublemaker had turned to ash, he had listened to Demetria's comment about him being the real problem in the situation. Without hesitation, Nathan's fists clenched, eyes narrowing into a glare while his fangs subtly grew from the sudden emotion. HE WAS THE PROBLEM?! THE PROFESSION WHO WAS MERELY ACCOMPLISHING HIS JOB?! With hasty instincts he caught the radio, resisting every desire to break it from anger.
"I AM THE PROBLEM?! I WAS THE PERSON WHO CAME TO SAVE YOUR ASS AND YOU'RE CALLING ME THE FUCKING PROBLEM?! OKAY, MISS HIGH AND MIGHTY, HOW ABOUT YOU THINK ABOUT WHAT I AM SUPPOSE TO DO? MY JOB IS TO SAVE PEOPLE LIKE YOU, AND INSTEAD OF ALLOWING ME TO COMPLETE MY JOB, YOU INTERFERED! MY JOB IS TO FIGHT THOSE MONSTERS AND KEEP THEM FROM KILLING PRISSY PRINCESSES LIKE YOU! SO HOW ABOUT INSTEAD OF YELLING AT ME, YOU BE A BIT MORE APPRECIATIVE THAT I RISK MY LIFE FOR YOURS!" Nathan screamed, unable to contain his anger.
Immediately, he turned away, no longer wanting to be involved in the situation. Irritation was holding him, making the male vampire frustrated with the redhead. Generally, he found her attitude incredibly infuriating and he was praying this was the only occasion he would have to deal with her. When Gideon made his comment, Nathan fired a glare towards the man.
"JUST SHUT UP AND LEAVE ME ALONE!" He snapped, the second comment making his glare shift to Demetria. "... WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?! I HAVE NEVER SEEN YOU IN THE TRS!"
The concept of an unaffiliated hunter stealing the chance to kill terrors himself was aggravating, but Nathan remained uncertain. If this woman was categorized as a hunter, why was she incapable of smoothly destroying the Troublemakers? Why would she attempt blood manipulation, only to be faced with failure from lack of skill? It was difficult to believe that Demetria was a hunter, or at least, good at the job.
The disturbingly satisfying crunch of cartilage breaking assisted in making Nathan feel pride in successfully breaking the father's nose. THE MAN DESERVED IT FOR DOING HORRIBLE THINGS TO TRISTAN! This pathetic excuse for a father figure was irritating the vampire, thus sympathies were nonexistent. While he continued glaring at Tristan's father, Nathan kept a tight grip on his boyfriend. When the blond's head settled again his shoulder, the vampire felt relieved that Tristan was remaining in his embrace. The vampire continued glaring as the father responded; Nathan did not care that the man was infuriated because of his freshly broken nose. It only resulted in the green-haired teen tightening his protective embrace of Tristan, making it obvious that he had no intentions to release him. Allowing this abusive man near his boyfriend was forbidden action and Nathan planned to lash out if the father attempted to get close.
"Don't like getting your nose broken, eh?! WELL, I WOULD HAPPILY BREAK MORE BONES IF YOU GET ANYWHERE NEAR MY BOYFRIEND!" Nathan shouted, clearly still furious.
While the remark could possibly provoke anger, Nathan found it difficult to care about the father's emotions given the horrendous treatment that his boyfriend received. There was reassurance when Tristan stated he was alright, the vampire still gazing at the blond with worried eyes. Gently, he squeezed his boyfriend in an attempt to subtly convey his concerns for Tristan's safety. Hearing Tristan's father provide orders to come, Nathan tightened his embrace, getting pleasure from Tristan clinging to him. The refusal to obey soothed the vampire, a smirk touching his face as the blond bravely responded to his father, rebelling against the abuse and controlling nature of the man. When Tristan took his hand, the vampire followed behind him closely as they left the study, proceeding through the halls to exit the manor. The thanks accompanied by the question was met with silence for a moment as Nathan's face turned serious, his arms reaching to wrap around Tristan again.
"Next time... please tell me if you have problems like that," he said worriedly. "I would have protected you sooner if I had known."
There were a few more moments of silence as the vampire allowed the words to sink into the air. His concerns over his boyfriend had dominated, Nathan desiring to assure Tristan that he could tell him about concerning topics. After a few moments, the green-haired man released an extensive breath.
"I will let's just walk away from this place first, okay? I want to get you away from this house," Nathan stated, finally responding to the inquiry.
Remaining in close proximity to the father's house seemed like an awful idea, especially after the intense exchange of words that had occurred within the study. It left Nathan immensely concerned about his boyfriend's safety, rising the dormant protectiveness from since he lost the closest members of his family.
Without hesitation, Nathan continued chasing the Assembly member with no thoughts taken towards the possibility of traps or discoveries of advantages for the opposition. Currently, the only thing that mattered to the vampire was to complete the objective of eliminating any enemy that stood in the way of his vengeance. Destroying the Assembly was necessary since they took everything from him. They had killed his nanny, Teresa and later murdered Donovan which left him alone in the giant manor he called home. The parents were away, the servants quietly went about their assignments while he moped in a lonesome slump until leaving for school or work. In the hunter's eyes, the Assembly of Phantoms were vicious monsters who would fixate on taking from the innocent; on taking from him. The concept kept his determination intact while he continued chasing the boy.
Damage had been given to his opposition, Nathan being content with the verdict until noticing the wounds he inflicted disappearing. The minor cuts were mending, knitting back together with ease which was infuriating. The vampire's eyes narrowed into a glare as a growl of annoyance escaped his throat; WHY DID THIS BOY HAVE TO HEAL?! Merely witnessing the action caused the green-haired teen to pick up his speed, the knife clutched tightly in his hand. He wanted to end this pest now!
"STOP RUNNING AWAY AND LET ME FINISH THIS! He yelled, even though the effort were fruitless.
Gradually, they began running towards a more citizen congested area, forcing the vampire to slow his speed to avoid bumping into others and to cease his onslaught of attacks. His green-yellow eyes flitted around the scene, noticing his opposition carelessly pushing people aside in perhaps a desperate attempt at escape. Another growl of aggravation escaped Nathan's throat as he narrowed his eyes, continuing to weave through the bodies amidst the crowd. Anybody he accidentally pushed or bumped into did not receive an apology; HE NEEDED TO MURDER THIS ASSEMBLY AGENT! Once free from the thick crowd of citizens, Nathan initiated a portion of his enhanced speed to regain the lost distance from weaving through the crowd. There was no possible way that he would allow this boy to escape, or at least not easily! When the stranger suddenly turned around to attempt and attack him, a sadistic smile drew across the vampire's lips. The boy's Spanish was ignored because of Nathan's unfamiliarity with the language. With his enhanced speed still activated, Nathan feinted left before countering with a slash against the boy.
"Awww, you think I will go down easy!" Nathan exclaimed, anger fringing on his words. "NOW JUST STAND STILL AND LET ME KILL YOU!"
The green-haired hunter was hoping for a deep cut, something that would hopefully stun his prey and allow him to complete the objective. There was a determination to defeat this Assembly agent no matter the costs; they deserved to suffer for killing Teresa and Donovan alongside other innocent individuals.
There was an increasing desire to punch Tristan's father despite the negative repercussions that could transpire afterwards. It was obvious that Nathan despised the man for the impertinent behaviour he displayed towards his son. There were hints of fury in the vampire's eyes because of the orbiting thoughts of the despicable man. Unfortunately, Tristan did not provide him with permission to clench his fist and swing a punch at the horrible individual. Immediately, a pout touched Nathan's lips as genuine disappointment entered his emotions, although, admittedly the opinion was sensible. A gentle sigh exited the vampire's mouth as he walked through the manor's threshold, fingers intertwined with Tristan's. The surroundings were surveyed by Nathan, his yellow-green eyes gazing back towards Beckard Manor, sweeping until finally ceasing to rest on the vehicle. There did not appear to be anything awry, which left the vampire questioning what exactly was bothering his boyfriend.
When they approached the car, Tristan entered first with Nathan quickly following with determination to remain close to his boyfriend. The peculiar behaviour earlier was bothering the vampire, although, he supposed he could understand given the individual they were required to meet. There was a click as the door was shut, the hunter inching closer to Tristan, his worried eyes locked on him. As the vehicle pulled away, Nathan squeezed the blond's hand, reminding of his supportive presence. There was an eerie silence during the entirety of the drive. While the vampire remained uncertain of the reasoning, he found himself unwilling to attempt conversation, instead maintaining a tight grip on Tristan's hand during the entirety of it. They arrived at the house in a few minutes, Nathan glancing towards while the vehicle parked. Once freed from the car, the vampire accomplished another survey of the surroundings; still nothing amiss quite yet.
Despite the subtly in the movement, the green-haired teen noticed when Tristan pulled his hand closer. In response, Nathan inched closer to the blond, concern remaining evident in his eyes the closer they got to the house. Similar to a majority of wealthy homes, servants answered the doors, pulling them open for the entrance of newcomers. Slowly, he scrutinized their surroundings, his eyes falling on a woman who descended the stairs to greet them. Her facial construct was analyzing, the vampire narrowly managing to detect the displeasure that crossed her countenance; was it because of Tristan's absence? While they were escorted to the study, Nathan remained close to his boyfriend and entered behind him. Upon entry, the vampire noticed Tristan's father and shot a glare at the man. They were asked to sit, the green-haired teen following Tristan to sit beside the man he cared about most.
Minutes ticked by, and eerie silence filling the study while the despicable man behind the desk quietly continued his work. Once again, Nathan glanced around their surroundings, unable to notice anything menacing in the direct vicinity; most certainly Tristan was merely concerned about the yelling, right? The grip tightened again around his hand, Nathan glancing towards his boyfriend and giving his hand a quick squeeze. When the father moved, looming over Tristan to give his inquiries, Nathan glared at him again, unable to notice he was being ignored. The swallow accompanied by the answer caused the vampire to lift an eyebrow. There was a moment of stillness, anger evident against the father's face and Nathan still attempting to piece everything together, although, the pieces hastily slammed together when Tristan was ranked to his feet by his collar.
The blond's hand was forced away from Nathan's grip while Tristan was grabbed and immediately thrown him against the study wall. Instantly, the vampire's eyes widened as he began realizing the situation and what it entailed. The initial words made the hunter glare at the father as he hastily rose to his feet, although, the second comment made his teeth grate, fangs poking out from anger. This man had the AUDACITY to touch his Tristan roughly, make those VILE remarks and proceed to THREATEN him. Obeying the command that Tristan gave him was impossible as his protective instincts kicked into overdrive. Without hesitation, Nathan's hand curled into a tight fist, fingernails digging into his flesh while he closed the distance. Hastily, the fist was drawn back and rocketed forward, the vampire narrowly keeping his enhanced strength from kicking in as he aimed for the face of Tristan's father; he was hoping to break his damn nose!
When his fist collided with the soft flesh of the man's face, Nathan found himself satisfied as his opponent riled. Quickly, he turned back towards Tristan, reaching out to try and protectively embrace him before glaring back towards his boyfriend's father.
"DON'T YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT TOUCHING TRISTAN LIKE THAT AGAIN, YOU HEAR ME?!" Nathan screamed. "IF I HEAR ANY MORE CRITICISM OR ANOTHER THREAT, I WILL GIVE YOU A BEATING! AND I FUCKING SWEAR, IF YOU HURT MY TRISTAN AGAIN, I WILL KILL YOU!"
His eyes remained narrow at the horrible man a few moments longer, making it obvious how furious he was. Afterwards, his gaze slowly returned to Tristan, softening as he gazed at the blond. Concern touched his yellow-green eyes as he looked at his boyfriend.
"Are you okay, Tristan?" He asked gently.
While he waited for the answer, Nathan scrutinized Tristan's appearance, searching for any possible injuries. Tabs were kept on the father, the vampire's gaze occasionally flitting towards the man.
There were intense feelings of anger running through Nathan's veins from the twisted torment. The painful reminders of his brother's death being inflicted were irritating, increasing the young vampire's vindictive desires. Eradicating all Assembly members and terrors was a crucial necessity considering their sinister intentions and how they ruined his life. Donovan was gone, the only remaining person of significance who cared for him killed because of their malicious intention; because of their foolish decision to murder his brother. THEY WERE THE MONSTERS THAT ROBED HIS HAPPINESS! THEY EXPLOITED HIS ERROR IN FOLLOWING DONOVAN! The pain was rising in Nathan's shoulder as he blocked the knife, but the flaring pain was ignored. The hunter's eyes narrowed into an anger-filled glared; another Assembly member. It was obvious considering the spontaneous attack aimed towards him, or at least presumably; either way he was a threat!
Once the enemy retreated, Nathan straightened his stance, lowering his knife to fixate on attempting to hurt the ravenette. Immediately, he countered the boys withdraw, making the sharp blood points continue rocketing towards the opposition without hesitation. When a few of the points managed to make contact, a sadistic smile stretch across the vampire's face, although, he was shortly interrupted by the advancing. The blood was summoned forth, acting as a secondary defence to the slashes being aimed towards him. With the bowie knife tight within his hands, Nathan slashed back, attempting to force his opponent backwards considering the boy seemed to be a close-combat fighter. Attacking with the distance that his blood allow could provide an advantage as opposed to the trading of blows. The numerous slashes aimed towards Nathan could not all be blocked, resulting in the bladed knuckles meeting flesh on some occasion, but the wounds remained limited.
The pain was ignored, Nathan pushing through to continue countering against the attacks; he could always regenerate later. Anger flared when suddenly the boy shouted words in Spanish and began running away. The vampire's eyes narrowed into a glare as a growl left the depths of his throat. THERE WAS NO POSSIBLE WAY HE WOULD ALLOW THE ASSEMBLY MEMBER TO ESCAPE! THEY DESERVED TO PERISH!
"COME BACK HERE AND DIE!" Nathan screamed angrily.
There was no hesitation as he following behind the young boy, determined to continue their brawl. The vampire was hasty in rounding the corner, but refused to activate his enhanced speed for the time being. Energy was required to obliterate his enemy, thus Nathan wanted to avoid frivolously throwing it away unless necessary. While the chase progressed, the vampire created more sharp needles with his blood and launched them towards the Assembly member. There was no possibility that Nathan would allow this obnoxious brat to escape; at least not easily. Speed was increased slightly, impatience resulting in the vampire's extreme desires to capture this nuisance. The sounds of footsteps pounding on the concrete echoed through the air as the chase continued through the streets. Unfortunately, the hunter remained unaware of the trap that the Assembly member was planning for him. A plan involving exhaustion and a suitable terror.
There was no denying the blond-haired piece of perfection that Nathan was accompanying. There was no denying the divine appearance of his precious Tristan and anybody who would attempt to tell the vampire otherwise were obviously blind. Flawless was this man who miraculously agreed to be his boyfriend, going lengths to bravely ask the question. It was the reason why Nathan felt the intense desire to shower this incredible man with numerous compliments to display his affection towards Tristan. When his new boyfriend attempted to reflect the appraisal, Nathan pouted at the blond. That compliment was for his boyfriend, not himself. His yellow-green eyes remained locked on Tristan, the vampire smirking as he prepared to respond. There was no possibility that he would accept that compliment since it was supposed to be Tristan's!
"No, you are perfect, silly," Nathan stated. There was sweetness in his voice as he continued. "Now hush and take your compliment, my Tristan."
The request for details on the situation of the driver's appearance was met with an embrace. Worry remained on the vampire's face while he wrapped his arms around Tristan, gently rubbing his back while he held him. At the mentioning of Tristan's father, Nathan's arms tightened and his eyes narrowed into a glare. After hearing the man yell at his precious blond, the hunter held an immense hatred for the man. As Tristan continued explaining, the vampire adjusted his grip to make his embrace more protective. Admittedly, Nathan fancied the idea of ignoring the horrible man longer.
"... I don't like your dad... He yells at you for being sick! I would rather just punch him in the face and be done with it," Nathan muttered bitterly. "Can we do that? I punch him then we run away and be done with him?"
The vampire wished dealing with Tristan's father was that easy, but he doubted that he would gain permission to punch the man. There was a concerned countenance to Nathan's face, angering mixing since he completely despised Tristan's father; NOBODY SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO YELL AT HIS TRISTAN LIKE THAT! When Tristan provided him with a forced smile and asked if he was ready, Nathan nodded and slowly released his boyfriend. The worry increased from witnessing that smile, the hunter easily detecting the counterfeit grin. Once freed from the grip, the vampire was hasty to try and capture Tristan's hand with plans of intertwining their fingers before exiting the manor.
The bitter grasp of loss still gripped Nathan as he marched out on patrol, the boy remaining a loner from his sadistic mask. The barrage of threats and frightening knife waving warded away advances of friendship. Meaningful relationships still felt null after the recent, numbing pain of losing his brother. Murdering every terror and Assembly member remained an objective, the vampire unaware of the true meaning of justice. The memory of losing his own brother remained vivid, wounding him mentally as he continued walking, bowie knife in hand. There was a sorrowful glaze in his eyes as they scrutinized his surroundings, searching for a victim who dared to cross his line of sight. The TRS uniform hugged Nathan's form as he wandered down the provided route for the patrol. The number of people wandering the streets remained few, giving the area a lonely vibe.
Several minutes of silent searching had passed until somebody confronted him, the TRS hunter tightening the grip on the knife's handle. He glared at the individual, gradually realizing their Assembly affiliation and later being clued in on one of the malicious actions. Anger surged through the vampire's veins as they flaunted, mentioning his brother. The taunting increased the fury, generating a fire as they informed him of the kill. The claims the man was making infuriated Nathan, the upset emotions increasing his ill-tempered mood. This man killed Donovan... HE took away the most crucial part of his family... HE made him feel all alone in this world... HE WAS GOING TO PAY!
"SHUT UP!" Nathan screamed.
Without hesitation, the vampire rushed forward with his enhanced speed, slashing out with his bowie knife once the distance was decreased. The slashes were wild, marked with anger as Nathan's desires remained to murder the opposition. Allowing for this Assembly member to live would be a sin, which increased the vampire's determination to end him. An attack was dodged, Nathan feinting left before slashing out and scoring a hit on the man's arm. The injury was returned with a grazing to the hunter's side, but it failed to even deter Nathan. There was determination intermingling with anger and sorrow, bring in a steely attitude to defeat this Assembly member. Hits were exchanged, countered and blocked while the pair displayed an equal matching in the field of combat. Finally, the vampire managed to stun his opponent, bringing back the sharp edge of the bowie knife and slicing the delicate flesh around the opponent's neck. There was a thud as the man fell, Nathan taking a few deep breaths to regain composure and give his muscles the necessary air.
The vampire gazed towards the corpse on the ground before glancing over himself. The number of injuries were limited, the grazing of his left alongside the nasty cut to his shoulder being the most prominent. The remaining wounds were bruises and insignificant cuts that would not hinder Nathan. He began scrutinizing the body until the sounds of advancing footsteps arrived, a younger boy with a similar appearance to the Assembly member he killed slashed at him. Without hesitation, the bowie knife came up, blocking the claws that this boy wore. Adrenaline continued pumping through Nathan's veins; the vampire was prepared to fight again. The blood from his wounded shoulder was manipulated, making sharp points that he launched towards the young boy.
The possessiveness displayed by Demetria was incredibly amusing, especially considering she had the audacity to believe he would listen. There was no possibility he would obey the words of a complete stranger, even with the lingering threat of knocking his fangs out. Defending himself was a simple task since he had been successful in his hunter work. There was obviously a relationship between this woman and the man who accompanied her, Nathan theorizing that there was some romantic tension between the pair. Even at the insistence of the male stranger not belonging to Demetria, the vampire found it doubtful; there was something occurring between the pair. A smirk crossed the green-haired hunter's face as she spared a glance at the redhead.
"If he is not yours then why I am not allowed to bite him? He was offering himself up a few minutes ago," Nathan chuckled. The criticism from the man was greeted with a bitter response. "Don't care if you think I lack personality, you're just too blind to see it."
There was certainty that some form of personality; why else would Tristan attempt to converse with him? Something had to be existent or he would become rather bland to interact with. As time proceeded and Demetria seemed keen on interrupting the fighting, Nathan was coming to the conclusion that enjoyment in torturing the creature would need to wait; how unfortunate... Admittedly, the vampire found the woman to be rather skillful, but nonetheless still a burden by risking injury to prove an idiotic point. Despite the displayed skill, Nathan continued running closer, watching as the male stranger began joining the fray by throwing a shield. Citizens appeared to be more troublesome than the teenage hunter expected; which was an incredible annoyance!
Closer the vampire traveled, enhanced speed carrying him quickly and allowing for him to sprint passed Demetria, slamming his shoulder heavily into the creature. The troublemaker backpedaled, the unexpected hit stunning the terror.
"I TOLD YOU TO LET THE PROFESSION HANDLE IT!" Nathan shouted towards Demetria.
The vampire swung outwards towards the troublemaker, the creature narrowing avoiding the blade of the military grade bowie knife. Claws racked his right arm, the one extended towards the terror. Despite the newly formed injury, Nathan did not hesitate to manipulate his blood into spikes. The troublemaker screamed as the spikes launched into it, one poking into the creature's throat, shortly converting it to blood. Slowly, Nathan stood straight and glared towards the woman who had interrupted him, blood running down his arms to his finger tips.
"NEXT TIME, DON'T BE A PROBLEM!" Nathan shouted.
Afterwards, the vampire sheathed his knife, putting it back into his pocket. An annoyed grumble left his mouth, Nathan's eyes glancing around for any more enemies.
Arms loosely wrapped around his boyfriend, Nathan stared at Tristan, memorized and overjoyed. The recent occurrences caused the vampire's heart palpitated, dancing around his chest with exhilaration, threatening to create a heart attack with the uncontrollable increase of his heart rate. There was nothing better than holding Tristan and giving the beautiful man affection. A smile remained stretched across the green-haired man's lips, his embrace tightening to bring his new boyfriend closer. Perfection, it was currently the best word to describe the situation as Nathan reveled in the emotions and senses. The soothing warmth of body heat, pleasant scents, dancing heart and overwhelming feelings of happiness; it was blissful. When Tristan commented on his sentence, the vampire laughed lightly, a mild anxiousness touching his tone.
"Well I have to tell you the truth, don't I?" Nathan responded. "Besides, you are absolute perfection."
The flirtatious comment the vampire made brought a smile to his lips; certainly that was adequate to make Tristan blush. The notion of witnessing red paint across the blond's face made Nathan's heart flutter; he prayed for the occurrence. Moments passed, the hunter attempting to think of more affection-filled comments, only to be interrupted by the sound of the doorbell. The noise resonated throughout the sound, the chime informing all occupants of newcomers. As expected, a servant arrived, hesitating as their eyes glanced towards the two boy before providing the information. An annoyed sigh escaped the vampire's lips since he craved more time hugging his boyfriend. Gradually, the grip was loosened until Tristan was freed, but Nathan was shortly pleased to discover Tristan clinging to his arm. The reluctance to release him was adorable to Nathan, bringing a friendly smile to the vampire's face while he glanced towards his boyfriend.
Quietly, Nathan ventured out of the washroom and downstairs towards the grand front door; a lavishly decorated wooden one acting as the manor's grand entrance. They continued forward, servants hastily opening the doors in their entirety to reveal the visitor to Beckard manor. Initially, Nathan analyzed the individual at the door, his gaze flitting back towards Tristan when the grip around his arm tightened. The formal reference towards the blond caught the vampire attention; this individual was definitely a servant of sorts. When a command was returned, the servant listened, leaving the door to return to the vehicle. At the mentioning of accompanying Tristan, the green-haired man stared at his boyfriend.
"Of course I will, but I want to know what is going on first, okay?" Nathan said, slight worry touching his tone. "Is there something wrong, Tristan?"
The words arrived softly, Nathan keeping his yellow-green eyes locked onto his boyfriend, concern clouding them. There was something stiff and cold about the exchange, the sudden grip tightening attributing to the fretting.
