Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
Infuriated by the brainless choices of his superiors, Nathan stomped down the hallways of the TRS training center. Providing him with an apprentice despite there being other hunters more legible for teaching seemed ridiculous to the vampire. Was the knife waving and threats not ample enough to persuade them from allowing him to be alone?! The notion left the green-haired teen bitter since he did not require connections with other individuals, Tristan being among the few people Nathan allowed close. The blond's adorable face was enough persuasion to allow him closer, the vampire seldom showing his sadistic side around him nowadays. Oddly, he found Tristan's presence a kind break from the frightened nature of his fellow hunters. A TRS uniform hugged his body, orange accents distinguishing him as a basic level of hunter. As Nathan walked, his back remained slouch, head craned as his hands hid in the pockets of his TRS jacket. A begrudging expression touched his face, the young man despising every second of this walk to the assigned classroom.
[break][break]
A glance was taken towards the clock, Nathan shrugging as he realized he was late; why would an apprentice arrive early anyway? He would only arrive a few minutes late and admittedly, the vampire could not muster the care to feel guilty about it. The higherups decided for some absurd reason that providing him with an apprentice which he did not want. If only he could push the pathetic apprentice onto another hunter who truly deserved them. A folder was clenched in his hand, Nathan raising it while he walked to quickly catch a glimpse of his apprentice's name. The name Demetria Saito appeared vaguely familiar, the vampire raising a brow as he analyzed the black ink that etched the name. As he slowly walked through the hallways, people flinched and avoided him, most already afraid of the sadistic hunter. Eventually, Nathan reached the door, an annoyed sigh escaping his lips as he closed the folder and slowly reached for the door. The door clicked open as Nathan entered, his yellow-green eyes glancing over the single person in the room.
[break][break]
There was a pause as Nathan glared at the redhead woman sitting at the table. Out of all the people he could have received, it had to be the annoying woman from Valentine's day. A sigh escaped Nathan's lips as he rolled his eyes, crossing the threshold into the room before slamming the door loudly.
[break][break]
"Oh great, the brat from the dance," Nathan mumbled.
[break][break]
Once the door was closed, Nathan walked further into the room and placed the folder onto the table. There would be little time to read the folder until after the training session. He prayed the redhead would finally decide to listen to him, the attitude she displayed during the dance being absolutely aggravating to the male vampire. Disobedient apprentices were always difficult to handle, but Nathan was determined to make certain Demetria obeyed his commands and training methods. Perhaps this was the reason the higherups decided he was a suitable fit was that of his cold and tough nature; Nathan was never a pushover, he was far from one. Allowing his apprentice to control the classroom and do as she pleased would definitely be forbidden.
Silently, Nathan proceeded to follow the mysterious man down the streets of the outskirts, his yellow-green eyes surveying the area occasionally. There was a slight paranoia the vampire harboured considering the location they travelled and its infamy for criminals and Assembly members (the few who picked Lorsette over Aria). In the outskirts, a sense of danger always encompassed him, resulting in the green-haired teen to be alert with each step he took. While the hunter could find comfort in his tech-savvy boyfriend knowing his location, he still remained alert to avoid getting harmed; getting injured would displease Tristan. The sweet blond always worried about his well-being, even when he acted like an insensitive, sadistic jerk, thus the least Nathan could do was avoid getting injured, or at least, severely. While they proceeded forward, the vampire's eyes flitted from surveying their surroundings to momentarily observing Grayson. The man was enigmatic and strange to Nathan, probably considering the circumstances of their meeting.
[break][break]
A pair of nasty glares somehow managed to allow them to converse without any hurtful feelings, albeit, with a mild tension from Nathan's paranoid suspicions; he considered it the effects of the outskirts to make him paranoid. The laughter towards him admitting he lost count resulted in the vampire raising a brow. This man appeared to have a peculiar sense of humour, but the green-haired teen would not fault him, although, there was a bit more tension weighing on him.
[break][break]
"It's all part of the job," Nathan stated in a half-hearted tone.
[break][break]
Suddenly, Grayson's expression shifted to a more serious tone as he turned back. The vampire met his gaze, providing a guarded countenance as the mysterious man gestured to his heterochromatic eyes. He stared into those eyes, unable to remember any Assembly members slain with those strange eyes.
[break][break]
"Nope. Would have remembered a pair miss-matching of eyes," Nathan answered. "Why do you ask?"
[break][break]
The vampire waited for a response from the strange man, wondering why exactly he would be inquiring about an Assembly member with heterochromatic eyes. Immediately, Nathan's eyes did another sweep of the area as his suspicion of this stranger steadily increased from the question. What kind of person would ask about an Assembly member after all?
There was a faint lifting of Nathan's brow when the man laughed at his comment. A slight paranoia had already settled over the vampire because of the circumstances of their meeting, although, his situation made him tense. The abrupt meeting of a shady man in an outskirt bar naturally caused suspicion for the teen considering the rumours of some Assembly members hiding on the outskirts of Lorsette. The number was speculated to be few, but nonetheless, it remained nerve-wreaking for the hunter who held numerous burdens on his shoulders. Should he perish from this foolish decision, he feared the consequences his boyfriend would have to face. Slowly, Nathan exited behind the man, taking a final glance back before the door shut behind them. Once freed from the prying eyes of the bar occupants, the green-haired man grabbed his phone and quickly shot a text over to Tristan. He went lengths to send his location in case the blonde wanted to hack nearby security cameras or his phone to track his location. Granting his boyfriend detailed knowledge of his location was always a comfort considering how technology savvy he was.
[break][break]
There was a brief nod provided to Grayson's statement over the criminal activity, the phone shortly returning to Nathan's pocket. A glance around gave the vampire plenty of information, his night vision cutting through the darkness. Currently, nothing appeared peculiar.
[break][break]
"Yeah, but it might as well be most of the world now. Everywhere has terrors and Assembly." An annoyed sigh punctuated the vampire's response.
[break][break]
There was a lack of vagueness in the manner which Nathan spoke because of the reassuring sights brought by his night vision, although, he still kept a thought to caution. In the depths of his pockets rested the vampire's hands, one clutching a small pocket. The discretion was evident on the hunter's face, the subtle poking of his fangs against his lower lip possibly noticed by the more observant. In these sketchy situations, he would refuse to retract the elongated teeth out of concern of ambush; if he was incapable of grabbing the knife, his sharp fangs could easily puncture his lip for purposes of blood manipulation. Despite the questions Grayson asked, Nathan managed to remain alert to his surroundings, watching for suspicious activity.
[break][break]
"Probably a year or two now," he stated casually.
[break][break]
As Nathan's eyes surveyed the area, he noticed Grayson's eyes staring towards the sky, resulting in him following suit. Stars covered the black canvas of the sky, the tiny dots taking over the entirety of the sky because of the moon's absence. The sight was beautiful, but the green-haired hunter refused to allow his eyes to linger. Instead, he proceeded down the sidewalk while he waited for Grayson to continue his inquiries. The mentioning of kills caused the vampire to pause, his thoughts taking a moment to wonder how many terrors he demolished and Assembly members he ended. How many was it now? In the beginning, a grief consumed hunter would obliterate anybody associated with the Assembly of Phantoms without hearing a plea. Nowadays, there was the slightest hint of mercy, mostly because of his fellow hunters forbidding him to continue the killing for interrogation purposes.
[break][break]
"Lost count... They never end and I don't bother counting anymore," the hunter responded with a sigh. "There are always more to replace them anyways."
[break][break]
The steps forward recommenced, Nathan uncertain of the desired destination of their conversation, but he believed moving to be a better option. Remaining in a single location made him slightly fidgety considering the time and the topic of their conversation. Secretly, the vampire wished he stayed home where he could have spent a delightful evening with Tristan rather than heading out for a paranoia-inducing walk with a stranger.
There was always something frightful about brandishing the TRS title, especially speaking it aloud in an outskirts bar. While Aria Village was where a majority would hide, some still dwelled in the outskirts, waiting to strike unexpected civilians. There were few locations safe from the ears of the Assembly, informants frequently being capable of hiding. Tension settled on Nathan's shoulders, his lack of familiarity with the mysterious man causing numerous concerns to infiltrate his usually calm mind. There were matters that needed attending to at home, and the vampire feared the possibility of being placed into a predicament where he could not handle him. Settling his boyfriend, enforcing the notion of Tristan staying in the house to his parents and providing the beautiful blonde he dated with the attention he deserved. The ominous response resulted in Nathan's brow furrowing as the man grinned. Was this another situation of meeting somebody of similar beliefs? The green-haired teen could not complain over avoiding the possibility of a fight.
[break][break]
There was a terse nod in response to the notion of the bar not being a safe location to discuss matters of the TRS and Assembly battle occurring. Casually, Nathan grabbed his drink, gulping down the contents as his acquaintance suggested leaving the establishment. The mentioning of questions was slightly concerning, the vampire slowly setting his glass down while his eyes analyzed the other individual. While appearances were deceiving, Nathan was certain his own enhanced speed could work for a getaway should he require it. The hunter rose from his seat, shoving his hands into his pockets in preparation to leave.
[break][break]
"Fine, but do one suspicious thing and I am bailing," Nathan mumbled out.
[break][break]
The vampire quietly followed the mysterious individual, his senses alert to the possibility of attack. The offering of the man's name did little to sooth Nathan's concerns, but he continued following nonetheless. There was a lack of familiarity with this Grayson individual, resulting in the rising worries of facing possible attack. As Grayson stated what he desired for knowledge, the hunter's eyes observed their surroundings.
[break][break]
"I suppose we're just a good target. Lorsette is suffering from criminal activity, so add the pressures of the Assembly and there is a chance of crumbling," Nathan explained quietly. "Plus, Aria Village ain't that far from here."
[break][break]
The close proximity to the village that swarmed with Assembly members was a probable cause to the intense pressing of terrors on Lorsette. A nearby base of operations made gaining backup easier and furthermore, allowed for the Assembly to organize and attack easily.
There were a few things that Nathan expected of the evening, the primary objective original being to clear his head. Instead, he found himself sitting in a bar staring at the aforementioned name of the dog tags. The dim lighting of the bar reflected on them, the name etched and painted in with black being where the vampire's eyes fixated. The dog tags were a reminder to why he joined the TRS and started pushing everybody away. When he first started there, he intended to work alone and never allow for anybody to get closer than necessary, however, he supposed the change started with Tristan. The green-haired teen's ill-temper became slightly more tamable, albeit, still frequently inflicted onto his enemies and general individuals of dislike; usually, it only quieted when Tristan was present to be completely honest. He desired to shelter his precious boyfriend from the unpleasant manner in which he treated others. A soft sigh escaped his mouth, hints of sorrow still evident on his face while his eyes slowly returned to the stranger.
[break][break]
Currently, the vampire was playing nice to avoid any painful consequences during the evening. Considering the stress of discovering what Tristan's father did to him and attempting to organize a method to warrant his boyfriend staying in the manor, him getting injured was simply unnecessary. The following chuckle resulted in Nathan slouching over the table, his elbow resting on the surface while his cheek propped itself on his hand. Slowly, his hand clutched the cool glass, feeling the condensation tickle his hand.
[break][break]
"I wonder why," he mumbled sarcastically.
[break][break]
Sarcastic comments felt like instinct, Nathan showing little care to the notion of possible annoying the other occupant on accident. The mentioning of no bar fights being instigated was a positive, but the vampire did not relax entirely. He still remained in a shady bar with somebody who was a complete stranger. There was still the chance this could end with fists flying or even abilities being invoked to inflict harm. The conversation proceeded, Nathan's eyes shining with interest at the observation followed by a question. While it should have been expected on account of the dog tags, the directness of the inquiry before being provided a name himself was unexpected. There was a slight narrowing of the vampire's eyes as he scrutinized the man alongside their surroundings, his concerns about an ambush lingering in his mind.
[break][break]
"I am Syndicate, why do you ask?" Nathan asked bitterly.
[break][break]
The teen's long-standing hatred towards the Assembly of Phantoms resulted in the bitterness of his response. Afterwards, Nathan's eyes flitted around the establishment as an instinctual concern transcended over him. It was nearly impossible to know where members of Zeredah's group were lurking, resulting in a slight nervousness given the number of people in the bar. Well, the hunter could easily dismiss the possibility as mere paranoia, he remained alert to avoid the consequences of letting his guard down.
There was a silence that settled between Nathan and the mysterious stranger. The noise of menial conversations from the individuals around them filled the air as people engaged in drinking and some offered games. The vampire spared a moment to glance around the bar before slowly lifting his glass to his lips, taking a small sip. Nothing appeared to capture his interest other than the mysterious, heterochromic stranger he discovered. When the bartender was gestured over, Nathan's eyes glanced towards the dark-haired man that walked over to refill the stranger's drink before retreating to the counter. The hunter observed the bartender for a few moments until hearing the other occupant of the table speak. Hastily, the vampire's eyes flitted back towards the mysterious individual across from him, lifting a brow in surprise to the stranger's observation skills. A majority of people he met failed to notice the name etched into the tags and few questioned the silver trinkets that dangled around his neck. There was a pause of silence, a slight sadness breaching Nathan's expression at the mentioning of his precious older brother.
[break][break]
A grisly death resulting from his recklessness; the only reason he lived was that Donovan was willing to sacrifice his life. The generous action left the young vampire to his lonesome for many years until he began falling in love with Tristan. A soft sigh escaped Nathan's lips, his yellow-green eyes fixating on the ice cubes floating in his drink.
[break][break]
"Their a friend's," he mumbled. "My real name is Nathan."
[break][break]
Providing his true named was merely to avoid any suspicions towards possibly being Assembly. Associating himself with those menaces was against every moral law in his book! They were murderous bastards who took every important person away, leaving Nathan to take the torch and dispose of them in the name of his loved ones. When the stranger began speaking about manners, the vampire rolled his eyes in response. Being apart of a rather wealthy family resulted in numerous years spent learning excellent manners to avoid ridicule from the general populace, although, Nathan oftentimes considered it classes merely designed so his parents would not be embarrassed about their child. They were never around to truly care, so why should a few glares and fights matter?
[break][break]
"I'm not stupid," Nathan answered bitterly. "If you keep lecturing, you will sound like my parents. Besides, I am not looking for a fight. I have somebody at home who would prefer for me not to get hurt."
[break][break]
While Nathan would have gleefully participated in a good fight with a shady character, he preferred to not risk upsetting his boyfriend. He could easily imagine the amount of fretting Tristan would be submitted to sensing the pain and later witnessing stumble through the door with some fresh injuries. It resulted in Nathan avoiding the opportunity, despite his certainty to become the victor; he was a pretty tough opponent after all, or at least that is what his arrogance told him.
The soft jingling of the dog tags was evident as Nathan walked, the noise accompanied by the gentle clinks of ice cubes idly floating in the sea of dark, bubbly liquid. On the silver dog tags, the name and information about his older brother were provided, etched into the metal itself and given black colouring. The words contrasted against the shiny surface of the metallic substance, allowing for somebody to notice the name Donovan Beckard alongside some various points of information, like his name, age, gender and unit; only gender and unit were truly shared between the brothers. The glare matched between himself and the mysterious stranger did not deter the vampire from travelling across the bar, an unfriendly expression across his own face. His eyebrows were slightly narrowed, a hint of an irritated scowl touching his lips. With the manner this stranger was staring towards him, there was a chance his suspicions were correct; this individual could be an Assembly of Phantoms member.
[break][break]
There was a slight tenseness when the stranger did not immediately respond, suggesting a perhaps unsociable behaviour. A momentary smirked touched the mystery man's lips, Nathan listening to the counter and noticing the shift in expression. Subtly, the vampire's eyes narrowed further into an unwelcoming glare.
[break][break]
"Caution is important," the vampire muttered in response. "I was curious in the staring was all."
[break][break]
The green-haired teen's eyebrow lifted at the offer to sit, which alleviated a portion of the tense nature behind the unfriendly staring contest. A quiet nod of acknowledgement was provided before Nathan took the seat across from the stranger. Slowly, he set his glass onto the smooth surface of the table, his yellow-green eyes remaining fixated on the mysterious man. Years of pushing others away made it difficult to properly initiate conversation at the mere drop of a hat, thus the vampire decided to remain silent for the time being.
From his table, Nathan watched the mysterious individual, his pale hand reaching for his beverage. The ice cubes clinked together while the bubbly sensation of pop surged into his mouth. It tasted excellent, but the vampire found himself too distracted by the stranger to truthfully enjoy the entirety of his drink. The man was gazing at other individuals now, naturally eavesdropping on the gossip Lorsette had to offer; it was a frequent activity people partook in. Curiosity was endless, people even going to the absurd length to gather it. Quietly, Nathan analyzed the mysterious individual, something about him seemed oddly familiar, mostly that expression. It appeared like something the vampire had seen in his reflection, although, it appeared distant in a way. The green-haired man kept his eyes locked on the stranger, curiosity glinting in them as his gaze lingered. When the mysterious man glanced towards him, Nathan noted the glare, even matching it as he sunk a little deeper into his seat. The drink was set onto the wooden table, the vampire keeping his eyes on the stranger before standing from his seat.
[break][break]
Slowly, his hand reached for the unhealthy beverage as he began slowly walking towards the mysterious man. The cold drink chilled his pale hands, the vampire stopping at the table. He could not help, but wonder if perhaps this strange person glaring at him was an Assembly of Phantoms informant; it would explain the unfriendly glare towards a TRS hunter, even when he is not in uniform.
[break][break]
"Care to explain what the glare was about?" Nathan mumbled out.
[break][break]
The vampire was admittedly curious, although, he attempted to resist his hot-headed nature in favour of returning uninjured to his precious Tristan. He could already imagine the fretting of his boyfriend if he allowed such a thing...
Gradually, the moon crawled into the dark skies, bringing the stars to shame with its pleasant shine onto the earth below. Stress weighed heavily on Nathan's shoulders as he exited the giant double doors of Beckard Manor, his yellow-green eyes gazing towards the skies above an extensive exhale escaped his slightly parted lips. While everything outside remained absolutely peaceful, there was a constant warring of concerns on the vampire's mind as he descended the stone steps. Around the house, rumours about his recent love interest, Tristan Anderson, spread like wildfire but were accompanied with opinions about what would occur once his parents returned from their business trip. Assumptions were made towards his boyfriend possibly being evicted from the residence since, as usual, Nathan failed to inform his parents about the recent developments at home. A sigh escaped his mouth as he exited the house, deciding to spend some brief time alone to organize his messy thoughts. He left through the gates, hastily typing out a text for Tristan explaining he would return home later.
[break][break]
Throughout the days, Nathan slept beside the adorable blond, thus the vampire could easily imagine the possible fretting that would occur should he suddenly disappear during the evening. Weaving through Lorsette's streets during the evening hours was never a good idea under most circumstances, but Nathan prepared himself for possible terror encounters; being a TRS hunter made such precautions a ritual prior to leaving home. Each step was taken slowly as the vampire wandered through the streets, mentally searching for the answers he needed. There was a gap between himself and his parents, the teenager always resenting them and being rebellious against their rule which left uncertainty to the future. After witnessing the abusive attitude of Tristan's father, he could not allow them to abruptly throw his boyfriend out of the manor, but invading the privacy of his boyfriend made it difficult for Nathan to inform anybody about what transpired when Tristan arrived to meet the nightmarish man referred to as his father.
[break][break]
These were always the moments where the green-haired teen missed his brother immensely considering older siblings could oftentimes provide the necessary advice during these difficult times. Those soothing words as he provided advice with a pleasant smile stretching across his lips. Another shy escaped the hunter's mouth as he continued forward, sadness reaching him as thoughts orbited around his loss from years ago. Donovan always cared about him, bravely sacrificing himself to protect him despite it all being his fault... The vampire wore a mask of courage as he continued quietly walking down the sidewalk, his eyes flitting around to notice the change of scenery. He had travelled further than expecting, managing to enter the outskirts during the stroll. Panicking was unnecessary since when the time arrived to head back to the manor, the vampire could always rush down the network of streets using his enhanced speed to return to his darling Tristan to endeavour into the world of dreams or... other nightly excursions; the thought brought a faint tint of red to Nathan's cheeks.
[break][break]
Alone, the vampire continued walking, his eyes eventually noticing the neon sign of a small bar. Nathan's eyes lingered on the sign before drifting towards the door. After accidentally straying this far from home, he could at least get himself a drink before venturing home. There was a wooden door, the hunter gently pushing it aside to cross the threshold and gazed at the lacklustre insides of the establishment. While his simple camouflage sweater, black tank top and dark jeans did not scream lavish, Nathan still expected better. The vampire's gloved hands were tucked into the pockets as his sweater while he entered, glancing at the decorum; this was definitely a place where he would not be taking Tristan for a date. Slow steps were taken into the bar, the green-haired teen still debating on what drinks he could possibly consume, even reminding himself about his improved liver. Alcohol could rarely effect Nathan, which was merely another reason why he preferred avoiding parties throughout high school was that of his inability to become impaired from those beverages.
[break][break]
Constantly, his yellow-green eyes flitted around the scene, noticing the other individuals in the room. There were always concerns about lingering Assembly members, Nathan preferring to avoid getting into a fight this evening; Tristan would probably be displeased if managed to get himself injured... The vampire stationed himself at a table in the corner, ordering merely a glance of pop while observing the other individuals in the bars. A majority were in pairs, each whispering among each other or outwardly displaying their delight because of the subtle coaxing of liquor. The survey resulted in him noticing the lone figure who appeared to be gazing towards them; how interesting...
The teasing provided by Nathan's boyfriend resulted in him raising an eyebrow slightly at the comment. Patience was always difficult for the vampire, but his immense love for Tristan kept his complaints inside. Their ascent towards the front door was spectacular, Nathan enjoying the precious seconds of closeness between himself and his wonderful lover. The warmth shared between their arms being hooked together alongside the general closeness was heavenly. Inside his ribcage, Nathan's heart began palpitating wildly in joy over being around his boyfriend; the man he saved from that horrible excuse for a father. The clinginess that Tristan was displaying brought the slightest hints of red into Nathan's cheeks, his eyes glancing towards the sublime view of his boyfriend. Glimmers of curiosity touched his yellow-green eyes as he began wondering the surprise the incredible man planned.
[break][break]
Their entry was grand, the servants glancing with curiosity towards the newest couple to return to the Beckard Manor; the rumours would definitely spread hastily. Once through the doors, a servant greeted them, Nathan exchanged a few words to explain that Tristan was officially a resident of the manor. Skepticism touched the expressions of the servants as they remained uncertain of the approval of Nathan's parents but nonetheless refused to rebuke against him. Further conversation, the vampire preparing to offer a tour of the manor only to find himself being tugged away and promptly finishing the conversation. They ascended the flight of stairs, the pair returning to Nathan bedroom. The door was pushed open, Tristan closing it behind him while the vampire continued staring at him with curiosity. When his boyfriend began explaining his desires, red immediately touched Nathan's cheeks; he had never been intimate with another individual in the implied manner...
[break][break]
Before Nathan could speak, he felt the delicate lips of his boyfriend push up against his own. Despite the nervousness, the vampire kissed back, his arms wrapping around Tristan's waist to pull him closer. While he remained in unfamiliar territory, Nathan fancied the idea of exploring with his boyfriend and discovering pleasure in it.
There was desperation as Nathan rushed forward in an attempt to reach the mysterious by before he managed to escape inside the car. Allowing this pathetic brat to escape was against everything that the vampire fought for; in his mind, anybody associated with the Assembly of Phantoms deserved the punishment of death! The running continued, the hunter attempting to push his tiring abilities beyond their brink, but they refused to steadily activate. Gradually, he was closing the distance, the progress slow as his enhanced speed could not reach full capacity after the extensive usage. The sound of the door being yanked open resulted in Nathan glaring, the vampire still sprinting towards the vehicle; he would rip the damn door off! Anger fueled the green-haired teen forward with intentions to continue his pursuit. Before Nathan could manage to get close enough to the vehicle, it sparked to life with the purr of the engine.
[break][break]
There was a flinch as the car jolted forward, the vehicle's speed benefitting his prey as the chase began once again. As the car began speeding away, Nathan was forced to push his abilities further, his speed increased slightly as he continued sprinting. The situation was not favourable to the vampire, although, he would never admit it; his stubbornness kept him silent over the unlikeliness of maintaining close distance.
[break][break]
"YOU ARE JUST DELAYING YOUR FATE," Nathan shouted. "STOP BEING A COWARD!"
[break][break]
The energy was diminishing as Nathan followed the car, his eyes narrowed as he attempted to catch up, his shouts merely being desperation to make his victim cease this pathetic chase. Damaging the Assembly member was necessary, this dodging of fate infuriating the vampire to extremes as he continued running. There were thoughts taken into account of backup, the green-haired teen shaking his head; he would handle this boy himself. The soldier proved he deserved suffering, Nathan presuming that his similar appearance to his previous victim being because of a blood relation.
The comfortable positioning within the limo was marvellous to Nathan as Tristan was leaned against his arm. A faint blush coloured the vampire's pale cheeks as he wore a toothy grin from having his new boyfriend this close. During the entire ride home, he remained unaware of the blond's thoughts and how consuming of his attention they were. The question towards Tristan's quiet disposition during the ride home rewarded the green-haired teen with a blush which immediately brought endearment to Nathan's eyes. There was pure bliss in witnessing red slightly tint his boyfriend's face, Nathan sighing in joy as he pulled Tristan closer to him. A slight pause entered the air as the vampire began becoming curious; what exactly was his precious Tristan thinking about? Fending off the curiosity was impossible, especially considering the mild sense of self-consciousness that battled his arrogance whenever he was around Tristan.
[break][break]
"What are you thinking about?" He inquired.
[break][break]
Once the car stopped, Nathan kept the door open for his precious Tristan while waiting to hear the man's wonderful thoughts. Promptly after opening the car door, his boyfriend exited, the vampire's eyes remaining locked on the divine beauty that he adored with the entirety of his heart. The feeling of lips colliding with cheek brought a dark blush to the hunter's pale complexion. The affection he received from Tristan was incredible, his heart palpitating speedily because of the amazing interaction with the blond. Once his boyfriend was away from the door, Nathan slammed it closed, the driver shortly leaving to properly park the vehicle. When he was free from holding the car door, the vampire offered his arm towards his boyfriend with a pleasant grin placed onto his lips. He desired for Tristan to hook onto his arm, thus he could lead him up the expansive set of stairs that ascended to the front door where servants would open the giant gates and grant them access to Beckard manor.
[break][break]
Silently, Nathan prayed the stunning entrance would impress his boyfriend; he wanted Tristan to think the world of him! The sublime view of his precious Tristan always reminded him of how much he cared about this incredible man. While their dating only just began, the vampire already thought that his lover was the most wonderful individual throughout the entirety of the four dimensions and he was all his. Although, Nathan desired to have Tristan for eternities which warranted the question of turning his boyfriend into a vampire; would he allow it? The green-haired man always remained hesitant to ask, but nonetheless, he desired to spend forever with his amazing Tristan.
There was nothing worse than fighting a bratty boy who appeared to hold a determination to survive, or at least for Nathan. This pathetic Assembly member refused the required vengeance for the brutal death of his older brother; Donovan was immensely important to Nathan, his death affecting him in radical ways. Allowing people to venture closer became a forbidden action, his anger being released on those who attempted to reach out and assist him. There was snapping, his sadistic attitude frightening the majority who continued pursuing him as a potential friend. Everything shattered when the Assembly murdered his brother, thus his steely determination remained steady as he continued fighting; these monsters all needed to meet their demise and be disposed of. A tight grip was maintained on the bowie knife, turning Nathan's knuckles whiter than their usual pale complexion; nobody could force the vampire to release his weapon.
[break][break]
When the slash towards managed to score a deep mark onto his opponent's arm, Nathan's lips twitched up into a sadistic smile. While the preferred ending the miserable life of his enemy, a deep gash was merely the beginning; even if this individual had a regeneration factor similar to his own. Blood escaped the open wound, the vampire already finding himself pleased with the minor damage he provided. The counter-attack forced Nathan to backpedal away, the bladed knuckled managing to score his upper arm when the first slash was aimed. The claws ripped through his clothing, revealing flesh that was freshly slashed into from the same attack. Blood dribbled down from Nathan's room while he hissed in pain, dispising his opponent for managing to pierce his pale flesh.
[break][break]
"DAMN YOU!" He screamed in response to the cut.
[break][break]
The vampire's eyes fixated on his enemy, watching as the Assembly member began retreating a few steps. The opportunity was immediately taken, Nathan hastily advancing to slash at his enemy in a repeated motion. Killing this brat was necessary for him to gain revenge on the Assembly! The strange action of the boy grasping the metal dog tags around his neck resulted in Nathan raising a brow, the Spanish incomprehensible to the Canadian vampire. There was a momentary pause as the green-haired teen stole a moment to mull over the words until his yellow-green eyes managed to capture movement. The young boy was retreating, attempting to escape his grasp; the Spanish a mere distraction!

"COME BACK HERE YOU PATHETIC WHELP!" Nathan screamed after him.
[break][break]
Instantly, he ran forward in a desperate attempt to close the distance between himself and the Assembly soldier. There was a car ahead of them, Nathan glaring once his eyes noticed the boy's escape plan. The hunter began pushing himself, attempting to access his enhanced speed, but the run here kept him fairly drained; should this brat reach the vehicle, he could escape.
Shortly after Tristan, Nathan entered the limo and stationed himself closely to his boyfriend. Being within close proximity of the blond brought a subtle nervousness to the vampire. There was a palpitation to his heart as he inched closer to Tristan, reaching over to attempt to wrap an arm around his boyfriend. Despite the anxiety, being near his human lover was immensely addicting; almost as though the closeness was a drug. Once comfortable, the limo proceeded to move forward, ferrying them away from the home of his boyfriend's abusive father. For a few moments, Nathan's gaze remained locked on Tristan, his affinity for his the blond becoming obvious from the soft countenance on the vampire face and the faint red that tinged his pale cheeks. Gradually, the green-haired teen's eyes wandered to gaze forward and noticed the review mirror through the small window in the wall that separated the driver from the passengers.

Immediately, Nathan noticed the gaze of the driver in the mirror, the soft expression of understanding accompanied by the shock of realization. The hints would be taken into account, the vampire already aware of the next pieces of gossip to orbit around the servants of the Beckard manor. Master Nathan possessed a love interest, perhaps a new boyfriend and that individual was the blond he cared in after a fainting episode. The wealthy vampire was not opposed to the concept of his relationship spreading through the manor like wildfire; he actually welcomed it. The further the gossip spread, the less he would be required to worry about promiscuous attempting to flirt his boyfriend away; ANYBODY WHO TRIED WOULD PROMPTLY RECEIVE A PUNCH! They continued weaving through the streets, the driver taking them home as requested by the text. A strange silence settled, the vampire beginning to wonder if Tristan was always quiet while being transported.
[break][break]
"... Are you always this quiet during car rides?" Nathan inquired, his curiosity deciding to break the silence.
[break][break]
As time progressed, the driver successfully headed towards the Beckard Manor. With smooth precision, he pulled into the driveway, stopping in front of the wide staircase that led towards the large double doors of the manor. There was a brief amount of time spent staring at the intimidating appearance of the manor before Nathan slipped away from Tristan to open the door. The vampire opened the door wide, doing another gentlemanly bow while he waited for Tristan to exit.
There was no silence while Nathan charged towards his enemy, bloodthirst obvious in his yellow-green eyes. He was determined to annihilate this boy; send him spiralling into the darkest pits of Purgatory! Unfortunately, the sudden outburst of noise alerted the Assembly member to his presence, recklessness dominating the vampire's mind. Adrenaline pumped the hunter's veins, fueling his energy as he fixated on attempting to obliterate the brat who opposed him. The boy was an immense nuisance, especially since he possessed the audacity to steal away the corpse of the pathetic individual he disposed of. There was a shout in Spanish, shortly being translated by the cellphone of a passing citizen. The claim about how he shouted too much resulted in the vampire's eyes narrowing. This heathen lacked authority to inform him when his shouting was becoming obsessive! If anything, he should accept quick death instead of prolonging his inevitable fate to the blade of Nathan's bowie knife. This brat was the definition of a fool in the vampire's opinion.
[break][break]
"SHUT UP! AT LEAST I'M NOT A BRAT LIKE YOU!" Nathan exclaimed.
[break][break]
The distance between himself and his opposition was hastily closed, the vampire slashing out with his knife. A hiss of annoyance escaped Nathan's throat as the sharp blade collided with the bladed knuckles used by his opposition. There was annoyance obvious on the hunter's countenance as he placed more pressure behind the knife, hoping to force the knuckles blades back. Before the vampire could place immense strength behind his knife, a bout of pain shot into his leg. Immediately, Nathan withdrew, flinching from the kick that collided with his leg. There was a throbbing pain from where the hunter was kicked, the green-haired teen glaring at the Assembly member in response. The translation that followed resulted in a growl rising from the vampire's throat. There was no possible way he would allow this brat to murder him! Somebody needed to live to get vengeance for Donovan's death at the hands of these horrible pests.
[break][break]
"THE ONLY PERSON WHO IS DYING WILL BE YOU!" Nathan shouted in rage.
[break][break]
The sudden slashed forced Nathan backwards, the vampire backpedalling hastily to avoid blades reaching towards him. Afterwards, the hunter witnessed the Assembly member pull away, sights turning onto the innocent woman who overlooked the scene. The glaring continued, the vampire attempting to recover before the dark-haired boy closed the distance between himself and her. Further bloodshed for innocent civilians was unnecessary! Once the green-haired teen steadied himself, he rushed towards the boy, watching the Spaniard destroy the phone before releasing the girl. Snapping twigs and shifting plantlife filled the air as Nathan hastily rushed towards his enemy, slashing his knife when the distance was closed. The vampire still desired to destroy his enemy, it was a necessity.
