Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
Born and raised in a family built on fabricating the truth, Odessa picks up a hanful of bad habits that've stayed with her up until this current moment. She's over-aware of every little thing she says and does because of her past, always wary of accidentally weaving the truth, because of this she's has a had lot trouble making friends and is also quite out of touch with the current chaos of the outside world. Most of her life she spent somewhat well off, and being a film actress further pushes that stereotype to the bridge. She longs to be able to farm a connect with people based on trust, but is just too nervous and unwilling to reach out.

Odessa is a very closed off individual, however recently coworkers have been trying to get her out of her shell. She's spent a lot of time frequenting different coffee shops and cafes near set to try different types of tea- which could lead to possible interactions or peculiar meetings which bring her out of her comfort zone and having to try work through herself, while forming a relationship that she might not be too scared of. As a film actress, there could also be people who know her either from her films or from advertisements she was in advertising the TRS recruitment.
She also is almost always found in cold temperatures in unsuitable clothes, this could lead to some sort of confrontation. I'm really just spitballing here, there could also be some sort of interaction that could include the some of the more criminal underside of the city where she can come to understand the actual danger of where she's living in rather then the realitive safety she's been in.

After meeting a tragic end by the hands of her own father, who cared more about the families name than his own daughter, who was engaged to another girl. Enyo came back to the land of the living seeking justice for her death and a possible remeeting and marriage to her former partner, Anais, however when she came back and found Anais engaged to her brother and the scheme to kill her was unveiled, she instead in a fit of rage poisoned the food during the wedding between Anais and her brother, leading to the Amadeus-Dinlas massacre. She went into hiding for a few years, watching her surviving family grow up, and was found by a man who'd heard about what she did and saught her out to help him in his own killings, she quickly grew fond of him and further learned about poisons, and grew to like him, only for him to wish to settle down, while Enyo grew more and more curious about poisons and murder.
She went out on her own and became a serial killer in America, going place to place while testing out poisons on drunks, and eventually settled down after coming to regret her actions in the mid 1800s, she studied to become a nurse and learn the ins and outs of medicene- and the truly lethal things it was capable of. She discovered a market for poisons and deadly goods amidst the violence and tension of the world and began supplying from where she worked to anybody who was willing to pay. She could hear about the effects in news reports and experiment as neccesary-
And maybe, maybe, she'll meet somebody like the man again. Someone like her Anais.

Being both a nurse and a poisons dealer, Enyo can be juggled through a bunch of different plots. She on one hand can easily aid anybody who needs medical issues, working in a local clinic and having years worth of medical knowledge. Plots as a nurse, under her registered name 'Emma' could be anything from a scheduled health visit to her finding them injured on the street and helping them the best she can, to working a shift alongside them or being curious about new medical knowledge and wanting to learn more.
As a poisons dealer, she supplies to criminals under the alias 'Juliet', and can show them how to use poisons effectively and securely, or be a known dealer who theyve been working with for years, or be scouting out for new customers after a shift at work. Other situations could include anything to do with her dog form, perhaps a super cute interaction, a detective learning about the mass murders she's commited, or even just a chance encounter where her morbid curiosity could spark a friendship!!!
The second child of a negligent mother, Greta was practically raised by her brother Fuji Tashiro who had very few ideas on how to parent his own sister at his own young age. Greta grew up only listening and responding to her brother and seeing him more as an adult figure than anybody else in her life, who she struggled to take seriously. Ever since she was young, she'd had issues being able to fully comprehend or get schoolwork, and at one stage went through tutors like her mum goes though nightclubs.
As she grew up, she longed for independance after realising her brother was babying her and moved in with her dad, her lives in a caravan park. It was a struggle to try learn things she'd always relied on her brother for, and for over a year he came over to help without her asking. He left as soon as he graduated highschool without so much of a word to his family, and Greta came to realise how much her brother impacted her life a bit too late.
Since then, she's worked to try change her image as the slacker girl caught in her brothers shadow, working up to find a place in the student council to try get the help she needs and become close to the people in thre hopefully enough to get free tutoring and guidence, and though its hard work, she's willing to do whatever-
And maybe, just maybe, her brother will notice her accomplishments and come home and see how much better off she is without him!

Being a student, Greta goes to Lorsette High School and is in the student council! She's somewhat known for being average to below average on her best days and being far too loud when around her friends. She's joined the council to try know more people while doing something shes fmailiar with. You could maybe know her from being a friend, either a childhood friend or a more recent friend that she met in class, or perhaps through detention for failing a test or a study session she ended up sleeping through. Or maybe you've just seen her face around and hold some sort of opinion about her! Perhaps a teacher assigned somebody to help her with her studies, or she was laughing so loud that you could hardly think straight, or... maybe she stumbled upon your part time job after school? Or spammed your phone demanding your attention because she found a cute cat video online.
Either way, the possibilities are endless with Greta! Feel free to plot away!
Eon works at the Crescent Moon Cafe, so it is possible they could meet there. Eons' very talkative and easy to get along with. He'd most likely recognize her from commercials she's been in and would be very intrigued. He is a performer and has dreams of becoming famous some day so meeting someone on their way to stardom would be huge for him. Since he is so outgoing a clingy, he'd most likely try to nag a conversation with her.
These two would probably know each other from school. Wynonna doesn't have many friends, and while she may not seem interested in making any, she quietly wishes to have some companions apart from her imaginary friends. I think a thread between these two would be interesting, I can see Wynonna getting kind of annoyed with, but also intrigued by Greta. Though Wynonna has let her grades slip recently, she actually is good academic-wise and might even offer to help Greta with her work should the two get close enough.
