Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
ike clockwork, Hanzo was opening the door seconds after he told them that he'd arrive. No matter whether he knew he was coming or not...there was always an intrusive feeling with his company.
He had wanted to say a few more things to Brendon before the arrival of his bodyguard, but it would have to come in the form of a note again. "When did he arrive?" Josuah asked Hanzo, distracting him with conversation as he withdrew his phone and began writing.
"Twenty-five minutes ago. He was asked to leave, but refuses to do so until you speak with him." Hanzo stated, his features the same stoic expression as they always were. But Josuah could see the distrust too.
"Very well," he returned, and moved towards Brendon. Hanzo tensed, preparing for anything and his loyalty to Brendon was...good. The older male tried not to show his inner feelings, choosing wisely to ignore his jealousy in order to give the boy his cellphone where he could read his note.
I know it will be hard now that you know the truth about us. But you must show a disinterest in me to ensure Hanzo doesn't become suspicious when you are all over...Sphene. I'm going to give you my number, memorize it and text me at any point our separation becomes overwhelming for you.
I will speak to Hanzo about having my...younger brother brought here as soon as possible. Then nothing will keep us apart.
Hanzo came in through the entrance within literal minutes of his last radio in. While Josuah may have not been surprised, Brendon was. It felt to him that Hanzo was back to his old ways, when he had become his bodyguard for the first time. Brendon hadn’t liked him back then because he had been too imposing and, like now, had often showed up everywhere he went. Over the years they had learned a balance that worked for him, but his parent’s death, and Josuah’s sudden arrival, had sent him on edge again.
Brendon listened to the conversation as the two adults spoke amongst each other. It had become obvious from the funeral that Uncle Bradford and his family had all been under the impression that they would be the ones taking over the Redal Castle, and he just couldn’t let it go.
Josuah handed him his cell phone, and the lengthy note he had written on it. The sight caused a dainty blush to creep into his cheeks, since Josuah knew how much he hated his disguise. He was doing this for him, and of course Hanzo was still and eying it with suspicion.
Brendon read over the note and then looked between the two men in the room, knowing that Josuah would have to leave to take care of his uncle. He felt worried over Josuah’s statement of their… time apart… but at least he had given him his number. Reluctantly, he handed the cell back to Josuah, recounting the number in his head over and over in hopes of remembering it. He would find paper and pen in the room shortly, to write it down.
osuah's gaze moved to Hanzo, watching him with the same inexpressive features he held. And then his eyes returned to Brendon when he moodily gave him back his phone and with it there was confirmation in his eyes. It was hard to leave...to not linger there before the male but fortunately, Hanzo's radio going off helped remind him of why he had to.
"He's coming," the bodyguard replied and then instructed Brendon to stay where he was. It was then that the door was opened and he had to fight with every fiber in his being not to turn around and look to Brendon one last time.
His hold against the phone tightened as he felt the boy's warmth slowly pulling away the further he went from him. He was not happy anymore, but he had a responsibility to them both and he would start first by dealing with Bradford.
