Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.

Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
She went to the Cathedral of Akari this morning, her hands clasped together and her mouth shut tight, as she knows the cathedral would much prefer it silent.
Zoraya had never forgotten to pray. She hadn't forgotten to thank the goddess Akari for what good deeds she has done for them, even though she was considerably one of the deities that started the War of Traitors. She closed her eyes and sighed. No matter what she had done, she was still a goddess. Master of holy beings. Wonderful and righteous. The young woman seated herself on one of the unoccupied church benches and held her two hands together.
She was here to pray.
The angel closes her eyes and lowers her head, mumbling prayers to the goddess. Lots are suffering under the hands of criminals and their own personal struggles, and she prays for them. Lots of people are straying from the righteous path, and she prays for them. Lots of calamities are happening around the world right now, and she prays it wouldn't affect them.
Zoraya still prays, and she expects that no one will have to disturb her while she does so.
During the early hours of the morning, Yves was taken away for a brief conversation with his doctor while his brother, Gabe, rushed to work for the day. While the appointment itself was short, the amnesiac found the minutes slowly ticking by as his anxieties haunted the depths of his mind. There were always those nervous thoughts of being unable to remember his past, thus the wraith left nervously shaking. The doctor had gone through the normal examinations before interrogating him on possible memories, but it became apparent that memories remained entirely wiped from his mind. Slowly, Yves ascended to the bottom floor, pushing aside the glass doors with a slight frown on his face. There were always desires to remember in a desperate hope of his memories allowing for him to avoid being a burden upon the weighty shoulders of his beloved older brother alongside anybody else who got charged with assisting him. Once outside of the hospital, the cold breeze of an autumn morning chilling the wraith. A shiver captured his body as he distanced himself from the hospital, heading down the sidewalk.
[break][break]
The white-haired man grabbed the fringes of his sweater, pulling the ends close while he continued walking. These cold autumn days were disliked by Yves, especially since his brother was unable to return and take him home. An extensive walk would be ahead of the wraith, a soft sigh escaping his lips at the thought. While he continued walking, Yves fumbled for the zipper of his hoodie, grabbing the thin metal and bringing it upwards to cover his front. Promptly, the wraith his hands into the depths of his sweater as he picked up the pace. While he walked, Yves' eyes flitted around the area, noticing the various other citizens crowding the area and the vacant beach behind him. Eyes avoided him, a relief for the nervous man who struggled whenever he was placed in the spotlight. There were clusters of individuals in the Coastal Area, a majority likely heading towards work to spend extensive hours slaving away; sometimes Yves wished he was among them, but instead he was heading home to tackle chores.
[break][break]
The stroll in the Coastal Area was cold but pleasant, the wraith bashfully glancing around. Gradually, he managed to notice the beautiful stained glass windows of Akari's Cathedral, which was a curious sight. There was a pause as Yves stared towards the cathedral, remembering the recent lessons about Heaven and its goddess, Akari. A glint of interest flashed in his eyes, the red contact lenses still hiding his species. A moment was taken to survey his surroundings until hastily, the wraith approached the beautiful building, his hand plunging into his sweater pocket to retrieve the small notepad with a pen clipped to the front; perhaps he could discover some fascinating things to assist with his lessons! A small smile touched the amnesiac's lips as he approached the cathedral, his hand reaching out to slowly open one the large doors and enter. The wraith's eyes glanced around in amazement after crossing the threshold, his hand reaching to close the door behind him. The view was wonderful with simple wooden pews with decorative work were placed in lines while a single red carpet created a trail through the center.
[break][break]
The ceilings were high, causing Yves' eyes to widen as he aimlessly wandered down the main path. Various colours filtered through the stain glass windows, displaying portrayals of Heaven and Akari herself, capturing magnificence in the pieces. The wraith's eyes wondered further, his movement ceasing as he squeaked in surprise upon seeing a young girl stationed with her head lowered. She had long darkly coloured hair, Yves' eyes only watching for a few moments as he debated speaking; there was a chance she could assist him. [break][break]
"Um... Ex-excuse me?" He called, albeit, rather quietly.
[break][break]
Afterwards, he approached cautiously, his steps an anxious shuffle as he attempted to close the distance between himself and the mysterious woman who appeared to be praying.

Hi there! I will just be throwing my shy amnesiac in here.
a little reply for Yves Levora Poor boy wasn't heard by Zory ^^;
Her prayers seem to have been working, if Zoraya should say so. For some reason, she could feel Akari from behind her, beginning to shower her with blessings she had wanted in her prayers. All she ever wanted was everyone to be safe from any dangers, especially her friends and family. The angel smiled while praying, mumbling the last few lines of her prayer before opening her blue eyes.
She should've realized that the Akari she saw was simply an illusion... but it felt like it wasn't. Akari did look like she was just there with her moments ago... Zoraya sighed and closed her eyes once more, then began to pray again. She wanted to see her goddess once more... feel her presence just beside her.
My goddess... I pray you will keep us all safe.
Zoraya opens her eyes once more and does the sign of the cross. The angel then bows her head and sits on the bench just behind her, then looks to her left. The engravings on the cathedral's windows indeed are mesmerizing... she could see angels flying and playing harps with their goddess Akari.
I wonder if my mother was among those angels...
She closed her eyes and almost wanted to laugh at the possibility. Yes, she might be one of those angels, but why was she thinking about that right now? Was she really that desperate to see her mother again? She sighed in exasperation and turned to the opposite side; looking up, she saw a young man behind her with what looked like a shy expression on his face.
Wait... what... She then suddenly realized that perhaps this man might have been the presence from behind her that she thought was Akari. Suddenly she felt stupid to even think a goddess would visit her. To the man, though, she feigned a smile and tilted her head. "Y-Yes? Can I help you?"
Despite the serenity of the cathedral, Yves found himself nervous as he stood motionless once he managed to close some distance. Social situations were always a difficulty for the young amnesiac, especially considering the cowardly nature he obtained after his unfortunate demise. The silence enveloping the main opening of the cathedral was frightening to the white-haired man as he glanced around anxiously awaiting his answer. Mustering up the courage to repeat himself felt impossible for the shy young man, his heart beating rapidly in his chest while he remained inside the room. The man's pale and gentle hands clutched the small notebook as the uncertainty overwhelmed him. Should he perhaps leave on account of the woman's silence or merely continue forward to admire the cathedral and search for information about the infamous Akari. Awkwardly, the white-haired man glanced down towards the extravagant carpet that popped from the wooden floors. In this instance, Yves felt hopeless on account of his concerns about attempting to gain the woman's attention.
[break][break]
There was a chance the tasks she was accomplishing were of the utmost importance, and it could be rude to disturb her in these crucial moments; even if Yves was uncertain about what the stranger was doing. A momentary glance was taken towards the stranger, the white-haired man noticing her attention shifting to him. Immediately, the wraith's eyes returned to observing the floor as he desperately attempted to avoid eye contact. The man's eyes were now fixated on the bottom of the pew she remained station on, staring at the legs of the wooden bench.
[break][break]
"Y-yes," he squeaked. Afterwards, his tone shifted into a quiet mumbling as he made his request. "Um... um... can... can you sh-show me around? ... Pl-please... If you can't that is okay... I just... I have never been here before."
[break][break]
A faint red touched the wraith's cheeks from his unintentional mumblings generated from his anxious attitude. Despite the woman's smile, Yves found it immensely difficult to avoid bashfully mumbling his words. For years, Gabe had attempted to banish the habit, but to no avail. The white-haired man's eyes remained focused on the ground as he silently waited for the answer of the mysterious maiden, praying that she would agree to show him the cathedral.

Meanwhile, Yves is just being his extremely shy self. XD Poor boy doesn't know what to do after not being heard.
a little reply for Yves Levora Pffff XD Zory be ready to take him out of his shyness!
Zoraya raises an eyebrow with a small smirk at the man because after having spoken to him for the first time in a few seconds, he suddenly doesn't want to stare at her an instead looks to the ground, seemingly fidgeting. The young librarian blinks, then sighs and shakes her head. Another shy one, she thought... she'd encountered many people who occasionally have attitudes like this towards her and other customers, so it's no question why she seems to have patience around him.
Through stammering tones and broken sentences, she immediately picks up the fact that he wants to be toured around the cathedral. He still remains shy, despite having already asking him to show him the cathedral. Probably something important to him, or he just wants to explore as he hasn't been here like he said... Zoraya smiles softly and stands up from the bench, then turns to the man.
"What's to be shy about?" She asks him first with a smile. It's probably best if she gets him out of his comfort zone for a while... "And of course I'll take you around. There's nothing much to do after praying here, after all." She then reaches out a hand for him to take. "First thing's first, though, introductions. My name is Zoraya. This morning I'll be your tour guide around the cathedral." She says with a teasing wink at the young man.
Probably going to be a nice start for her, but to him... maybe yes, maybe no.
There was always a cowardly nature to Yves' heart, thus the wraith found immense difficulty in conversing normally with the woman he discovered. Confidence was something the white-haired man lacked entirely, always resulting in a difficulty when it arrived at conversing with other individuals. Frequently, his sentences would become broken, stuttering garble for the other person to attempt to piece together. The bashful man's eyes remained locked with the floor, wishing he could have Phoenix's hand to hold while he talked with this stranger. While she appeared welcoming, the young amnesiac still found difficulty in mustering up the bravery to continue speaking. The man continued his staring contest with the floor, his heart rapidly beating in concern towards what could possibly happen. He feared the woman would decline or grow annoyed with his stumbly manner of speaking; he wished he could cling to Phoenix for comfort. Silently, he listened to the woman's footsteps echoing through the cathedral, his eyes glancing towards her for a fleeting moment before retreating.
[break][break]
The question surprised him, hints of red blossoming on his cheeks as Yves became embarrassed over his own shyness. Another glance was taken, the white-haired man noticing the soft smile the stranger had.
[break][break]
"I... I don't know," he mumbled bashfully.
[break][break]
The woman continued to speak, relaxing him when she agreed to show him around the cathedral. When she offered her hand, Yves hesitantly took it, finding that usual comfort when he gained the opportunity to hold another person's hand. A name was offered as the woman, called Zoraya, declared herself as his tour guide for the cathedral. There was a pause as the wraith organized his thoughts until realizing he should reciprocate the action of providing a name.
[break][break]
"Um... I... I'm Yves," he said quietly. "Th-thank-you..."
[break][break]
Shortly, his eyes returned to floor shyly as he contemplated what he should say next. The bashful man was never adept in the social arts, his encounter with another woman who yelled at him for forgetting her making him timid. He brought the notepad close, carefully etching the name to assure he would not forget the name of this dark-haired woman.

Oh no, Yves is not ready for that. XD He is too shy. lol The tag area is being funky, so I will just tag you here. :3[break] @zory
a little reply for Yves Levora Aww, that's adorable :3 Can I hug him right now?
The young man introduces himself as Yves, and as he takes her hand, she nods in acknowledgement. "Yves... wonderful name. It's nice to meet you as well." She gently shakes his hand, a gentle smile still plastered on her face. "Well, shall we begin the tour? There isn't much you need to know about the cathedral, but I'll show and tell you everything that you want to know."
She beckons the young man to come with her, and as they walk along the paths, she starts explaining. "The cathedral isn't as overwhelming as you might think; as usual, it's a place where people can pray and worship the deities that they believe in." She then raises an index finger with a knowing look. "But this cathedral is special. Here in Lorsette, there are four deities that we believe in: Akari, Volos, Enki, and Thanatos. This cathedral here is for Akari, the goddess of heaven."
Zoraya stops in front of the altar and points to a statue standing behind a glass case. "That is Akari... or at least, that's how the people around here see her. She's wonderful, as most people believe." Too be honest, she didn't really believe in that either. Every one always has a negative side, even if you were a goddess that ruled a place where good supposedly reigned.
She didn't speak about that to Yves, though, and decided to move on. "Alright. What else do you want to know?" She turns to Yves with a smile. "Those I had told you earlier were just basic information about the cathedral. Is there anything else that confuses you or that you would like to know more about?"
There was a pleasant gentleness to Zoraya’s voice and actions that surprised Yves. While the young wraith was not unfamiliar with those reactions, he usually assumed the worst because of his pessimistic shyness and lack of confidence. Oftentimes he believed people would brush him off as a burden and refuse to provide assistance should he require it. There was also the haunting incident involving the unfortunate woman he forgotten and the anger which followed. The poor boy never intended to infuriate others, and his cowardly nature made it difficult for him to befriend others without fearing a possible outburst. The soft handshake was pleasant, the wraith’s eyes fixating on their hands connecting to form the alternative greeting. There was always a delight in holding another individual’s hand for Yves. The soft warmth, reassuring firmness and proof of somebody being beside him always brought joy to the young wraiths day. When the woman complimented his name, red touched Yves’ cheeks as he bashfully glanced away. Being a rather shy individual, the white-haired man was not well-adjusted to compliments. While Phoenix usually provided him, Yves rarely received flattery from strangers and always got lost on how to return the kindness.
[break][break]
“Z-zoraya is a... pretty name too,” he responded quietly. “Can... can I keep holding your hand?... Please”
[break][break]
The final sentence arrived in a plea, the young wraith desiring the comfort of somebody holding his hand. It would be beyond incredible and would allow for the white-haired man to remain soothed while they walked about the large cathedral. At the mentioning of beginning the tour, Yves gave a small nod, his shyness resulting in a lack of vocal response. The white-haired man followed quietly, passively listening to everything the kindly woman stated. As Yves absorbed the information, he glanced around with curious eyes. When they arrived at the stature, the wraith stared up with wide eyes at the image of the beautiful goddess of Heaven. While the woman spoke, Yves continued staring towards the stature with curiosity.
[break][break]
"Um... is there anything about... Akari?" Yves inquired bashfully.
[break][break]
The concept of his school work lingered on his mind, the information about Akari being necessary to prove his understanding in re-education. While Yves was admittedly not the smartest individual, he still valued the grades in desperate attempt to complete his education.

You would fluster poor shy boy. XD His shyness would be extra bashful.[break] @zory
She can still hear the nervousness and shyness in his voice as he introduces himself, complimenting her name in return. The young woman smiles and nods, before beginning the tour around the cathedral. As they get to the middle of it, though, the young man asks if he can hold her hand; whether or not he meant for a little while or during the duration of the tour, she was quite surprised at this inquiry.
Too be fair, she's never held hands with strangers before, but she now knew what this young man was. He's shy, he's uncertain, he's unsure of what to do, but still desperate to keep himself in control. Maybe this was one of the things that might actually get him to control himself. So she smiles with a nod, clutching his hand tightly into hers. "Sure thing. If you want me to let go, or if you need something, just clutch my hand tight, okay?" She tells him gently, before proceeding into the cathedral.
As they stop by the statue of Akari and after she gives him a brief introduction of the cathedral, Yves asks whether or not there is more information about the goddess. Zoraya went silent for a few seconds, wondering if Akari's information would actually help him get used to this new city. She then smiles after those few seconds and nods.
"Like said, Akari is one of the four deities that people here believe in." She begins, looking back at the statue. "Many say she is the goddess of virtue, good deed, and kindness, and creator of divine creatures. She rules the realm of Heaven, where many are always good." Her face then falls upon remembering crucial information about the goddess. "Sadly, though, she is also one of the two deities who caused the War of Traitors from two-thousand and so years ago. So it just goes to show that she isn't all that innocent." She finishes with an innocent smile on her face.
Calmness and reassurance transcended over Yves when Zoraya permitted him to hold her hand. The action of hand-holding always soothes the wraith’s frantic nerves, especially holding his brother’s or Phoenix’s hand. There was simply nothing better than gaining the opportunity to firmly grasp the hand of another individual. It reminded the young amnesiac that somebody was there and brought the sensation of everything being alright; the lingering pessimism was fought off for the time being. Quietly, Yves followed behind Zoraya, content when he received permission to hold her hand. The tall walls and high ceilings appeared less menacing as he kept a tight grip on the angel’s hand. While he held her hand, his eyes would curiously wander around the interior of the cathedral. There was a subtle warmth in holding hands, the shy man enjoying the comfort. The familiar feeling of somebody leading him via hand holding, the calming sensation of warmth and reassurance of somebody leading him through the huge building.
[break][break]
When the woman gently informed him of what to do should he require anything, Yves nodded in response, although, he preferred not to disrupt Zoraya’s lesson. There were no thoughts taken towards possible demands, the man quietly accepting the angel’s willingness to volunteer herself as a tour guide. As the silence drifted over them in response to his question, Yves continued to quietly stare, clenching the small notepad in his hand; notes were forgotten in favour of holding the stranger’s hand. His desires to social comfort frequently accomplished this, the young man having a child-like bashfulness. The answer to his inquiry was a mild concern, Yves’ eyes returning to Zoraya as he trembled slightly. Akari was one of the gods who instigated the War of Traitors, a devastating brawl between Heaven and Hell. The limited knowledge Yves obtained reminded him on how much his teacher emphasized the brutal nature of the war.
[break][break]
“W-would she hurt us? … If she g-got out? The young man asked nervously.
[break][break]
The innocent smile that stretched onto Zoraya’s lips was only mildly soothing to the fretting wraith. The war between the TRS and Assembly of Phantoms already frightened the bashful man, thus notions of a possible return of Akari and the heinous war from thousands of years ago thoroughly frightened him. Once again, Yves wished Phoenix was around so he could hug him and gain comfort. Unfortunately, his crush was currently not around, the wraith presuming that Phoenix was busy.

Oh no, my bashful boy will be blushing red. But he likes hugs at least. <3 [break] @zory
a little reply for Yves Levora But he deserves hugs. He has the right to be hugged. *keeps hugging yves*
Zoraya smiles while she holds the shy man's hand, but as they keep walking, she couldn't help but wonder why he required such a mild touch like a hand held against his. Was he really this anxious to be going outside and meeting othes? Zoraya may not understand the feeling of it, but she does understand, that's why she agreed to hold on to him. But her mind is left wondering as to what the initial reason to this was.
She does not question it, however, and keeps lecturing about the cathedral's history and Akari as per his request. The history in itself is pretty vague in some ways that Zoraya couldn't explain it overall, but the amount of knowledge she has about it allows her to tell them to someone else and keep them interested and hooked to learn more. Yves is listening quite intently, still holding onto the notebook he had for what looked like forever. Zoraya thought he'd make an excellent student because of this.
Once she is done with her "lessons", she asks if there are any more questions. A lingering silence instantly follows after, until finally the young man asks her something. The question begs to differ from the beliefs of a good Akari; whether she will awaken and will attack once more when she does so is still held onto by time and undetermined. She may not be able to answer this question unless opinions are allowed.
"I'm... not sure." She finally speaks, the quietness of her voice evident that she is unsure about her answer herself. "We do not know much about how Akari will act, which goes the same to the other gods. Akari's actions and the time she will awaken is not determined as of now. I have... no definite answer for that." She looks at the young man mysteriously. "But I can also quite tell it won't be good, should she meet again with Volos."
It was an answer based on her opinions, half from the facts and past, but nothing more. She wasn't sure what Yves' response to this would be. Maybe he'll be asking other more questions and get over this topic, maybe not. Either way, she kept silent and waited for the young man to speak.
Self-confidence occasionally became necessary for people to accomplish a day's tasks for it brought reassurance and calmness to one's mind. Unfortunately, Yves was void of such luxuries, instead feeling the bane of anxieties and self-conscious on the daily. It remained the reason why the bashful wraith desired to hold hands with those around him since it brought a sensation of comfort. There were few things that steadied his cowardice towards social situations and truly frightening scenarios, hand holding becoming one of those easily accessed actions to assist his oftentimes nervous mind. Frequently, he would remain by somebody's side, whether it be Gabe, Phoenix, his education assistant, doctors and others who did not mind his rather clingy tendencies. He could hide behind them or receive emotional support to accomplish the objectives of the day; they were soothing to the amnesiac. Despite only recently meeting Zoraya, Yves was starting to gain a clinginess to the polite woman who granted him permission to his calming grace.
[break][break]
The pleasantness of her smiles, the benevolence she displayed and her willingness to assist him already made Yves think highly of the dark-haired woman. Rarely, would he receive opportunities to positively interact with somebody, although, the amnesiac was renown for being naive. All the white-haired man was aware of was Zoraya's extreme kindness, even granting him with information he could use. Unfortunately, the uncertainty she held in regards to Akari attacking again frightened the wraith, his cowardly nature causing a tremble to enter his bones. Violence was always a terrifying topic to the young amnesiac, thus he squeezed Zoraya's hand.
[break][break]
"Th-that would be scary," he mumbled in a quiet voice, barely audible.
[break][break]
A fearful expression touched his face, his eyes being wide while the corners of his mouth stretched back slightly. Despite the lack of danger in the instance, the wraith's heart began beating rapidly as he glanced around, wishing for Phoenix's presence. Being embraced by his crush was always a calming experience, the sound of the hellhound's heartbeat as he would hopefully be informed everything would be alright. Unfortunately, he was alone with Zoraya, who he had merely met a few moments ago in the cathedral. The white-haired man's other hand clutched tightly to his notepad, scrunching up the paper while he stared towards the stature of Akari. Concerns of the future swirled in his head, Yves glancing back towards the tiles as he resisted the urge to allow his fear to make him emotional; he was horrible for crying when scared. The slightest hint of water touched the corners of his eyes, Yves' nose becoming runnier as he attempted to calm himself.

a little reply for Yves Levora Awwww *hugs tighter*
The only thing that's probably scarier than death will be the reawakening of the four ferocious gods who started and ended the War of Traitors, and maybe worse still, them starting the war again. Zoraya couldn't help but simply nod at Yves statement. It indeed will be the scariest thing Zoraya could ever imagine; the image suddenly starts to form in her mind, the four gods with their minions attacking each other for world domination. Zoraya was forced to take part, clad in white armor prepared for her by the heavens--
Yves iron-like grip on her hand shakes her off of her thoughts, and she turns to the young man, eyes widening when he sees his expressions. Damn did she let her imagination run wild and rampant today. It was only Zory's belief, not something that would really happen, and she did not mean for Yves to cry for what she just said. The angel turns and grips his shoulder with one hand, the other still holding on to him.
"Hey. Hey, Yves. Listen to me." She begins, trying to be gentle as possible, but on the inside she is panicking. She never knew what to do when people get seizures like this. The angel turns to a nearby church bench, then urges him over to it, directing him to the seat. "Come on, Yves, come here. Take a seat. Sit." Her voice is still soothing as possible, and as she makes her way to the bench, she pulls him with her, though not harshly.
The angel sits down and urges him to do so as well, tapping his shoulder and staring at him with a worried look on her face. "Yves, look at me." She tells him once more, voice rather strict yet still soothing. "That was just my speculation, okay? Don't cry. It's not going to happen, I reassure you." She adds once more, tapping his shoulder softly.
Oh, if only that were true enough... but she'd never have the courage to tell that to Yves again. Not after what she just did to his mind.
Unfortunately, Yves was always renown for crying, warm tears trickling from his eyes. They slowly rolled down his pale cheeks as he attempted to fight the urge to cry. The struggle between himself and his emotions was always a losing battle, the wraith ending up a victim in tears. These moments were beyond frequent for the sensitive and emotional soul. Tears continued to slide down the young man’s face, sniffles becoming more frequent as he faced the frightful thoughts of the gods returning. Chaos bringing havoc to an already divided, war consumed world as people picked their sides, most fighting by the side of their god. Would he perhaps be forced to separate from his older brother or precious crush? There was nobody Yves knew that shared being an undead species, suggesting the possibility of being stranded alone while war raged on. The wraith maintained his vice grip as he began to hiccup and whine, the crying managing to hit full force. He feared to lose those significant people who he grew to love as they supported him after the misfortune of memory loss. Furthermore, Yves was terrified of the concept of having to fight in the vicious war between gods.
[break][break]
The educational assistant informed him about the war’s brutality and unpleasant nature, leaving an intense bout of fear. There was a grip on his shoulders, the soft words of Zoraya managed to reach the amnesiac’s ears. Slowly, he lifted his head to gaze at the angel, tears still trickling down his reddened cheeks. The woman was a blurry image, his watery eyes obscuring her figure and making it difficult to see. A slow nod acted as his response, Yves allowing the dark-haired blur to led him towards the pews with a gentle tug, instructing him to sit. As usual, the white-haired man glanced away as he continued to sob, his whining becoming congested. A soft tap followed by a command in a soothing voice earned the wraith's attention, his tear-filled eyes soon returning to Zoraya. Reassuring words were stated, the angel soon assisting it was merely speculation while she gently tapped his shoulder. The white-haired man hid his hands away into the depth of his sleeves, wiping some of the tears while he continued his congested hiccuping.
[break][break]
"It... it w-won't?" He inquired in a congested mumble.
[break][break]
Being a rather naive soul, Yves thought that Zoraya genuinely believed war to be an unlikely situation should the gods return. Fooling the young amnesiac was unfortunately easy, the young man being extremely gullible. As a result, he believed this pleasant, kind angel was certainly telling the truth. After a few moments, he managed to wipe away the tears, leaving splotches on his sleeves while he continued to sniffle.

He will be so blushy and squished with the power of affection. <3 Also, sorry Zory, my boy is a bit of a crybaby. [break] @zory
a little reply for Yves Levora Yves, baby, I love you too much okay? PLEASE PROTECT THIS PRECIOUS BEAN <3
Zoraya's soothing words seem to have calmed Yves down; she watches as the other wipes away the tears from his eyes, and for once Zoraya is actually glad he's resorted to it this way. The angel is not terrific with handling breakdowns by other people, but whenever something like this happens, either she would rely on others or comfort them the best she can herself. Right now there's only two of them in the cathedral, with the other one crying. Obviously, it was up to her to calm him down.
Especially since what she had said was the reason he was crying in the first place.
By now, though, the young man has slowly calmed down, asking for confirmation of whether or not the war would happen again. The angel nods and smiles at Yves, patting him softly on the shoulder. "Yes. It won't. It was only speculation, so it won't." It would also be beyond possible for such a thing to happen. "So don't cry anymore, Yves. No war will happen. You can trust Fate on that."
Then again, she was never sure with her words.
Silence engulfs the entire cathedral after they had conversed. Zoraya says nothing, simply looking after the young man and watch whether or not he will cry again out of fake reassurance. The young woman sighs after a few silent minutes. "Would you... like a hug to comfort you?" She asks with a small smile. "Of course, it's always your choice if you would like one or not. Anything is fine by me."
And it wasn't to say she would hug him romantically; it's like a chaste kiss, only meant between friends or acquaintances. Perhaps Yves is now one of those that could fit the line.
