appearance The body type of Yves can be summarized with tall and skinny. He comes in at a height of 5’11”, making him a bit taller than average. Being rather skinny makes Yves incredibly light when it comes to weight. Everything about him has a particularly thin appearance, including his limbs which are on the lanky side. A noticeable feature is that Yves’ hands are smaller than the average male and possess slender fingers. Complexion wise, Yves is on the pale side with his skin being a porcelain colour. There are no notable scars of blemishes on his skin. He is rarely injured and usually does not tan well which at times results in sunburns. It is incredibly rare for Yves to get dirty unless he is cooking. Wrapping around his body from his left cheek to his lower back and leg if a smoothly done burn scar which is believed to be the mark of his killer. He is extremely sensitive about it and tends to act as though it does not exist. When it comes to facial features, Yves has a slender oval face with a more pointed chin. His eyes have the regular silver colour of a wraith, but he had grown to hate their colour an instead wears red contact lenses. Red was the original colour of his eyes. The hair atop his head is messy and possesses a silver colour similar to his true eye colour. Usually, it remains messy and only gets groomed in a pleasant manner at the insistence of others. At times when it is messier than usual are days when Yves forgot to brush his hair. The clothing that Yves wears is simplistic and never fancy. He prefers cheap and good quality clothing since he does not desire to be a burden to his brother. This oftentimes results in him wearing plain coloured shirts and nothing of the latest fashion. He avoids formal clothing with the belief that it will be expensive even though that may not be true. personality
abilities Despite being a wraith for roughly a year, Yves has put no effort into learning his abilities. He fears using them and oftentimes avoids it to appear as though he is not a wraith. This leads to very poor control over all his abilities when he does attempt to activate them. Furthermore, Yves would grow immensely tired very quickly if he attempted to use them. backstory There was not much remaining as of memories on the unfortunate day where Yves heard the booming noise of a gun being fired. Everything retained within his mind seemed to slip away, like sand through opened fingers. The faces in his mind turned to blurs, names were erased and all the young man was left with upon entering Purgatory, all Yves could remember was his initials alongside a few basic school facts. Thus, when he entered into the monochrome world that belonged to Thanatos he was lost. Only a few hours in did he stumble upon a fellow soul wandering Purgatory. The pair spoke and shortly, Yves was convinced to return to the world of the living. The odd soul spoke about how it was the necessity and informed him Purgatory was useless without memories of loved ones. Being a newly made amnesiac in an unfamiliar world, Yves hung onto every word. He believed this odd spirit thoroughly and immediately set out to find Thanatos. Meanwhile, his body was undergoing police investigation and was being analyzed. When Yves found Thanatos, he begged to return to the world of the living. It was not long until Thanatos granted him his desire and he returned to the living world. The return itself was permanently scarred into Yves brain since he returned to his original body. He woke in a dark, cold and eerie quiet place. The box he awakened in being tiny and metal which caused Yves to panic. He thrashed around out of fear until what he laid on top of was wheeled out and light filled his vision. Yves had woken in a morgue shelf, sealed away for autopsy purposes and later for burial. The staff were quick to attempt to calm the frantic boy and were ultimately forced to take him to a lounge to sit in a more comfortable area. When they managed to smooth him, they began asking questions and addressing him by his first name. Although, there was a problem as they discovered the boy giving them confused looks. It was shortly realized that Yves has amnesia and did not remember anything prior to Purgatory. While they spoke with the newly made wraith, Yves’ mother and older brother were contacted. When they arrived, Yves found that there was vague familiarity in their faces. His brother’s voice was gentle while his mother remained mute and refused to look at him. Soon names were given, his brother being Gabe while his mother was Jane. He was shortly informed that his name was Yves Levora and this was his family. They took him to the place they stated was home, which was odd to Yves. Days were spent exploring the house, trying to remember as he gazed upon old pictures, but nothing clicked. Somewhere down the line, somebody noticed him who was aware of his identity. They stated several things, which confused the Yves due to his amnesia. Ultimately, he informed them he could not remember them and suddenly the person grew furious. They yelled at him, telling him he was horrible for forgetting them of all people before stomping off. It started making Yves timid, making him scared of other people and the concept of meeting those who knew him when he lived. Further contributing to this behaviour was the extreme protective of his Gabe who consistently insisted against dangerous activities or, at times, meeting people he did not know. It caused Yves to become extremely timid and shy as he feared another person harming him like Gabe had mentioned. Although, Yves has yet to learn the exact specifications that resulted in his death. About a few months later, everything was set up for re-education for Yves in order to bring his intelligence up to par with an average adult. For the progressing year, Yves’ mother oftentimes avoided him and remained mute in his presence. When she attempted to look into his eyes, she would always glance away disappointed. The reason for this was always unknown to Yves. As time went on, he decided to inquire about his death and his mother dodged the question, his brother doing similar. That night he heard them in a heated argument where Yves learned something that scared him a bit. He had changed drastically as of personality, his former being a social butterfly and courageous fellow. Then he heard about the horrible actions people could commit when they stated the method of death. Somebody had shot him in the head, the bullet going through and causing his amnesia alongside his forgetfulness. That night, Yves returned to his room upset and frightened of people, specifically criminals. He became incredible frightful, easily shying away from conversing with others out of fear of disappointing them with his forgetfulness. As time went off, he almost shut himself away from a majority of people due to his intense desires not to upset anybody else. It was difficult for Yves to notice that his mother was not taking care of him since he did not require feeding. The amount she cared about her wraith son become more obvious in the clothing provided for him to wear; old, tatters and stained. There was also the matter that she never searched for him when he got lost or even escorted him around the city. The reasoning the simply, the woman could not accept the fact her precious son was a wraith, thus she cared little about what would happen to him. It was not until a day came that Yves got injured trying to find his way home that Gabe truly noticed what was happening to his little brother. Once again he and his mother fought, his mother declaring that she hated those silver eyes Yves now possessed. It went to the length of Jane screaming about the disgrace her son had become by transforming into a ruthless monster, which was all based on Yves being a wraith. Hearing it caused the boy to cry and leave with his brother to his apartment where he stayed. Yves depended on his brother fully due to his loss of memory, and thus his older brother became the source of finances. Despite the wraith’s insistence, Gabe refused to allow Yves to get a full-time job until the young man;s re-education was over. With his brother’s wariness in occupation came Yves’ decision to merely assist in odd jobs and keep Gabe’s apartment clean. He took up the hobby of cooking, catching on quickly in order to have supper ready for his older brother. This relationship remains horrible since the two rarely talk and his mother refuses to look at him sometimes. He rarely tells his mother anything. - Yves oftentimes confides in his older brother and still lives in his apartment due to his mother’s behaviour. - Theoretically, Yves will regain some of his memories should he see the face of his murderer. Although, he has yet to see that face. - Yves has a beautiful singing voice, but he is incredibly bashful about it and thinks he is horrible at singing. - Yves died when he was 19 around late January.
