Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
well this was quite an eventful day. after all this was suppose to be a simply drop off and go type thing. she hadn't expected to stay too long at orion's. despite the various surprises, she was glad she had stuck around. things would turn out okay. bosco has so many people ready to help him and orion too.
she honestly wanted to help out, it was only a bonus if she got to see orion more often, and bosco too. now was not the time to be thinking about that. she was already feeling a bit awkward and that certainly wouldn't help things. she figured she'd bothered them long enough and it was time to head home.
she smiled hearing orion's words, nodding as she looked at him."of course, no rush. you have other important things to worry about."she waved goodbye to his mother and aunt. she wanted to ruffle bosco's hair, but figured it probably wasn't a good idea. seeing as he wasn't familiar with her."thank you, i'll let you know when i'm home."she added quickly before heading towards the exit.
she sighed softly, had she been holding her breath without realizing? orion's mother and aunt were so kind. she knew this wasn't going to be easy and by the sounds of it there were so many things that they needed to start on. she was glad that things were working out. she could only imagine what bosco was going through.
she remembered orion mentioning that he had found bosco. which made her wonder if bosco thought he was simply an ordinary dog. she hoped the poor boy hadn't been abandoned. she knew all too well how that felt. she glanced over towards orion and bosco seeing that he now had a muffin and smiled. she had also brought the dog treats over. though she figured bosco probably wouldn't want those anymore.
elysia nodded at their words of thanks. she didn't know how much help she could be, but extra help wouldn't hurt."of course, it's not a problem."she smiled in return before figuring this would probably be a good time to make her exit. she was positive they had lots more to discuss and she didn't want to be in their way."well, i hope you all enjoy the muffins. i should get going. please don't hesitate to let me know in what i can help with."

elysia had gotten home with the groceries. she had gotten a bit too much. which was fine, she had managed to drag all the bags home. that's why she preferred to do the shopping with others. though she tried her best to keep things stocked up. so she could avoid large shopping trips. some things were just unavoidable.
as she put the groceries she thought about the party she was invited to. she was still worried about her attire. the last thing she wanted to do was show up not dressed properly. would she embarrass colettte if her dress wasn't fancy enough? she didn't want to do that. colette had offered, but she really didn't want colette buying her things. they had just met and even if they had known each other for sometime she still would of felt weird if she would of bought her a dress.
she had already agreed to go and there was no backing out. she wasn't going to be rude like that. she would just have to make due with what she had in her closet and hope for the best. after she finished putting the groceries away she headed to shower. more time to think about what she would wear. it would be a lot easier when she could see what was hidden in her closet. she did have that dress she wore for her school graduation. after her shower she changed into comfy clothes. making sure to check the time, she wasn't about to be late to their meeting place. she still had a few hours before she had to be at the park. as she rummaged through the clothes in her closet she pulled out a few dresses. trying each one one, until she eventually decided on one.
they were suppose to meet at six and it took her about ten or so minutes to get to the park. it was still a bit early, but if she walked slowly she would get there before six. she didn't want to go too early, but she also didn't want colette to be waiting around for her. what if she got there early? she told her dad she was heading out. she would message him if she needed a ride. it was a birthday party, surely it wouldn't be going on too late. she grabbed her coat, knowing it would get colder as the sun went down and she headed off towards the park.
it seemed like colette had beat here there. there was still ten minutes before it would be six. as she made her way to colette she waved."hi, again. i hope you haven't been waiting long."elysia said with a smile.
there was so much to think over. things that elysia didn't think of. the more technical stuff. they were more concerned with wondering what the rest of his family would think. it never even crossed their minds, it certainly didn't cross hers. they wouldn't take bosco away during all those legal procedures would they? it's not like he had done it on purpose. poor boy on top of all the confusion, now had this to through into the mix.
orion speaking interrupted her thoughts. she smiled softly, he was so kind. she quickly spoke up."i'm here to help too."she didn't know what she could do, but she wanted to assure them that anything she could do to help she would try her best. she listened to what they had to say and nodded along. it seemed like maybe it wouldn't be so difficult to keep bosco here. it would take time, but anything would be fine so long as bosco was safe and here with them.
this whole situation was complicated, she wasn't going to add more complications by not telling the truth. it was the most logical answer to assume that this boy was related to elysia, after all they had never seen him before. she felt bad for bursting their bubble. would it be easier to talk about this if bosco wasn't in the room? the poor boy was already confused enough and clearly the only thing on his mind were the snacks elysia had promised.
she knew it was a lot to take in. she could see it on their faces. anyone would be surprised with this situation. how long had it taken them to coax bosco out of the room? it would take some times to get adjusted to this new information.
she kept quiet, nodding at orion's words. as if they needed additional confirmation that this was in fact their beloved dog. it's not like she could add anything else. the question that hadn't been asked was what were they going to do. elysia would help in anyway she could.
oh dear. she had not been expecting that. surely these two did not resemble each other too much? not that she was bothered by the comment. she hadn't been expecting it. though it would be cute to have a little brother. she shook her head softly."actually no. he's not my brother."she told them with a small smile. she didn't feel like it was her place to just spill everything. not that she wouldn't help orion explain. she wasn't going to leave him alone if he needed help, well him and bosco.
she glanced over to bosco. it seemed that the only thing on his mind were the muffins and the hot chocolate she had continued telling he would get. which he would, she didn't promise him the treat just for him not to get them."is that alright if i get that for him?"elysia asked, after all it wasn't her kitchen and though she had been in the cupboards she wasn't just going to start doing things without permission now.
elysia smiled and nodded."of course. i'm not going to make you work for it. it's a treat so i want you to try it."it wasn't too long after that orion picked up him up and they walked out of his room. for a moment she had forgotten orion's mother and aunt were in the kitchen. bosco seemed to the main focus. she cleared her throat once they reached the kitchen.
now that most of his family was here. she figured that they would have tons to talk about. she didn't just want to stand there awkwardly. it wasn't any of her business. not that she wouldn't help, but it should be talked among themselves."hello again."elysia greeted the ladies with a smile once she had set eyes on them.
elysia smiled softly. he wasn't going to be forced to do something he wasn't ready for. he was still a child so it was only natural. it would take sometime till he built his confidence up."i'd still would like you to try the hot chocolate. you don't have to walk there if you don't want."
she didn't want to leave them like this, but she didn't feel like there was anything else she could do to help. after all this whole thing effected orion and his family more than it did her."i also made muffins. if you ask nicely i think orion will share with you."she said with a small laugh.
