Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
[attr="class","slowdancetext"] Street lights and neon signs lined the walkways as Lorsette shifted into the coveted night crowd. The remnants of the warm summer air wafted around, pleasant, but cooled from the evening. The allure of the evening frequently summoned the blue-haired hunter from the confines of home. Whether it was an evening of alcoholic indulgence, movies or more innocent activities, Entoan exhibited little care. Thriving off the attention and enjoyments of friends, the hunter hastily discovered the wondrous thrill or poetic calm of nightlife.

A single state of opportunity accompanied by those indulgences and Entoan discovered it all. It led the blue-haired serpent down his present path and heading to the infamous Golden Crown for his night of pleasantries. From outside the bar, Entoan paused, fishing out his phone to text a familiar number. Months earlier he formed a friendship with another connoisseur of nightlife, a girl named Averie Jones. The evening they met was a whirlwind of shenanigans and drinking that left Entoan laughing and with excellent memories.

Heeeey, Averie. Maybe you'd like to hang out? Golden Crown? You & me?

Promptly after sending the text, Entoan entered the establishment without any more hesitation. If Averie wished to join his escapades, she would undoubtedly return a message or bash in. Those were traits he fancied about the fiery, blonde woman. His shoulder pushed into the door of Golden Crown, entering the establishment to begin his time dancing in the nightlife. The roaring sounds of content and partying people surrounded the serpent as he waltz in. With a smile on his face and excitement in his eyes, Entoan approached the counter, acquiring himself a drink while he hopefully awaited for his friend.

a yawn escaped her lips as she was scrunching her hair with her towel. she had gotten home from work and had jumped straight into the shower. it had been a rather hot day and she needed to get the sweat and grime off. she turned to her phone on her night stand when it started to buzz.
setting her towel down on the back of her chair before going to pick up her phone. she smiled as she read entoan's message. laughing as she texted him back.
bruh, check behind you! just kidding lol as if you even need to ask, i'll be there soon!
she hadn't planned on going out, but she would never pass on hanging out with entoan. they just had so much fun together. it wouldn't be anything amazing, just where they were. they would end up making things interesting.
she got dressed in dark jeans and a red top and her favorite comfortable ankle boots. she tousled her hair and slid a scrunchie on her wrist, just in case she would need to pt her hair up later on.
grabbing her phone, wallet and keys. she made her way towards the crown. after what seemed like forever, averie finally arrived. it seemed like it was packed tonight. was there some event going on that she wasn't aware of? it takes her a few seconds to spot entoan and she makes her way towards the man."did you miss me already?"averie said with a smile as she slid into the seat next to him.
[attr="class","slowdancetext"] The roar of his surroundings manifested a glorious scene as he took the first sip of his drink. A brief glance at his phone unveiled Averie’s answer. The blonde would be joining him for an evening of drunken antics and partying fun. From their initial interaction, Entoan hastily learned Averie knew how to light up a room in a party scene. The woman was fun, enjoyable and even exhilarating in the right circumstances, especially with a little alcohol added to the mix. [break][break] A soft chuckle escaped Entoan’s lips upon reading the message. A little joking was always welcomed by the serpent; he had attended the bar for a good time. Patiently, he sat in the stool, forgetting the minutes timing by with casual banter as he waited for Averie. Everything blurred when alcohol was introduced, and the one-eyed man fancied spending time caught in its dizzying thrall. Though, as he turned back to the bartender he heard a familiar voice. A laugh bubbled from his mouth as he glanced at the one, the only, Averie. [break][break] “Of course, what would I do without my partying buddy?” He began, the laughter still on his lips. “How wild are you planning to be tonight, Averie?” [break][break] Admittedly, the hunter was always curious about how drunk Averie would decide to get. At times, it could be an indicator as to how much he should drink for the right, pleasurable buzz.

it wasn't long after she had arrived that she had spotted entoan. after their first meeting which she couldn't exactly remember how they first met. now that she had to think about it. she just knew that it was not a dull night. it's why they kept meeting and having fun. it was like they feed off each other's energy, so to speak. so when she spotted that text from him, she couldn't resist. she hadn't planned on heading out, but that all changed.
she had asked him if he had missed her and his words made her laugh, but put a smile on her face."well, aren't you cute."she casually glanced at the drink menu."do i ever really plan? even if i did, i don't think i'd stick to it."she said with a laugh. though she did give it some thought."that is a good question though."she said with a nod."how wild do you want me to get? better yet. buy me a drink and you'll find out."she said with a wink.
[attr="class","slowdancetext"] A single wild and perhaps misremembered evening and Entoan discovered a new friend. Vague pieces of the night could flash into his mind, however, between the spinning intoxication and partying high. Nonetheless, Averie proved herself to be a pleasant living party. Already, the blue-haired man knew the outing would improve with his blonde-haired friend's attendance. The natural flirtatious tendencies of his dragon friend prompted a chuckle to bubble from Entoan's lips. He was aware her words were good-natured fun.

However, the follow-up only grew the laughter cultivated. The serpent had to admit, Averie was among the clever with the manner she slid in the suggestion of picking her drink. The one-eyed man glanced at her with a broad grin.

"Alright, let me bet what you would like tonight. Hmm," Entoan began with a pause. "I bet you would want something fruity with a little hard liquor. I don't take you as a beer drinker, Averie."

A confident smirk punctuated the serpent's words as he straightened his back and crossed his arms. Before he dared order something for her, Entoan wanted some vague approval from his friend. Though admittedly, for a moment, ordering her something she may not enjoy entered his mind.
Do not use drama to get attention in the chat. Nobody appreciates it.
