Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!

it wasn't long after she had arrived that she had spotted entoan. after their first meeting which she couldn't exactly remember how they first met. now that she had to think about it. she just knew that it was not a dull night. it's why they kept meeting and having fun. it was like they feed off each other's energy, so to speak. so when she spotted that text from him, she couldn't resist. she hadn't planned on heading out, but that all changed.
she had asked him if he had missed her and his words made her laugh, but put a smile on her face."well, aren't you cute."she casually glanced at the drink menu."do i ever really plan? even if i did, i don't think i'd stick to it."she said with a laugh. though she did give it some thought."that is a good question though."she said with a nod."how wild do you want me to get? better yet. buy me a drink and you'll find out."she said with a wink.

well despite all that talking. in the end she never did find the person she was looking for and she was still stuck on that level. she had decided to call it a night and turned off her game. she had it paused the entire time she was texting the mystery man. well, amon. sure she knew his name, but she had no idea what he looked like.
it was fine, she liked an adventure. why she agreed to go on patrol with him was beyond here. though she had to admit she was a tad curious about all this. she needed to sleep and worry about this in the morning. she was going hate her decisions if she didn't get enough sleep. why she agreed to go in the morning was also beyond her.
the first thought that popped in her mind with she woke up that morning, was that she needed coffee. though she would have to get it on her way, as she was currently out. she showered and got dressed and ready for the day.
once she had her coffee she looked down at her phone for the directions. she probably should of texted amon, but it was fine. she would figure it out. honestly it seemed like a straight shot. as she was nearing the building she quickly sent a text to amon saying she was about to arrive.
i'm totally like the only one holding a coffee and if it looks like i'm confused. then you found me lmao
she laughed at her own words and sipped on her coffee while she waited for amon to arrive.

a yawn escaped her lips as she was scrunching her hair with her towel. she had gotten home from work and had jumped straight into the shower. it had been a rather hot day and she needed to get the sweat and grime off. she turned to her phone on her night stand when it started to buzz.
setting her towel down on the back of her chair before going to pick up her phone. she smiled as she read entoan's message. laughing as she texted him back.
bruh, check behind you! just kidding lol as if you even need to ask, i'll be there soon!
she hadn't planned on going out, but she would never pass on hanging out with entoan. they just had so much fun together. it wouldn't be anything amazing, just where they were. they would end up making things interesting.
she got dressed in dark jeans and a red top and her favorite comfortable ankle boots. she tousled her hair and slid a scrunchie on her wrist, just in case she would need to pt her hair up later on.
grabbing her phone, wallet and keys. she made her way towards the crown. after what seemed like forever, averie finally arrived. it seemed like it was packed tonight. was there some event going on that she wasn't aware of? it takes her a few seconds to spot entoan and she makes her way towards the man."did you miss me already?"averie said with a smile as she slid into the seat next to him.

she snorted at his response."i'm sure you could of just rolled out of bed, but i digress."xin had his reasons, he explained them very well in their text messages. he had an image to up hold and heaven forbid he look like a mess if he were to run into a rival or what not. she loved teasing him, it brought her joy."alright, next time for sure."
she laughed at his compliment."this old thing? you're too kind. i've hadn't worn it in forever, but thanks. i mean you do give out the best fashion tips. the the trendiest person i know."unlike xin, averie was a bit more laid back with what she wore. she had a few staples and if she needed to she could dress up. though at the moment she was more dressed for comfort than style. she had her favorite pair of black ripped jeans, a red satin tank and a jacket.
"of course! safety first, especially if we are gonna get wasted."she said with a laugh."don't worry about it doll. you can buy me food later."she said with a nod."well, if he does. you got me."there wasn't anything she wouldn't do to make sure people didn't bother her friends.
"so polite. unless of course you were talking about yourself."she snorts once more as she slides into the car and starts to pull up the address. since it was a last minute thing she had remember where they would be heading. some dude's house. so long as they could get back in once piece that's all that matter and of course that they had fun.

she honestly hadn’t been keeping track of the time or how long it had taken xin to get ready. it was fun teasing him though. after the last series of texts she shoved the phone in her back pocket and grinned at xin."about time."she said playfully teasing him once more. it was fine, one shouldn't be too early to these types of things."we should do more of these timed challenges and see what kind of outfits you can come up with."she said with a nod. honestly she didn't mind waiting. he had an image to uphold or something. she really didn't care what she wore. she wasn't about designer brands or what not. she wore what fit and was comfortable."anyways, you look great!"
"while you were getting ready, i got us a ride it should be here soon."she planned on unwinding and having lots of fun. she normally would drive to these sort of events herself, but she knew better than to risk it tonight. despite how much she enjoyed to party, she made sure she was aware of her surroundings. was it weird that she always checked to see where the exits where? she always did a walk through of the place before getting comfortable. of course she didn't make it obvious when she did this. that would just make things difficult to explain.
her phone buzzed and she pulled it out from her back pocket. checking the notification, one was a text from the person she got the invite from and as she was about to respond. she received another one saying that the ride was here. she looked around before spotting the car."rides here. you ready?"
