Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
Wolma believed it to be a great idea to attend a blind date event, it would be a way for her to interact with other people that weren't her classmates or rather rude neighbors. Despite not being able to speak the native language of most people here, she relished in the opportunity to see new faces. Unfortunately, she'd never been on a date before, and had no clue what to wear to such an event, so she just decided on a fancy looking dress, which in reality was just a simple green dress with yellow highlights; something to match her naturally yellow eyes. The dress stopped just below her knees and had no sleeves. She also wore no shoes nor jewelry, as both of those things would only restrict her and the plants that made up one of her hands and legs wouldn't quite like it too much. There was only one thing that concerned her: how would others perceive her unnatural look? After all, she did only have one human foot and arm, and was partly covered with living plants. Shaking off the thought, continued onwards.
On her way to the event, she made haste as to not keep whoever was waiting for her waiting long. If possible, her goal was to get there as early as possible. She only knew two things about the event, that there would be food and skating, and she enjoyed both of those things. Arriving at the outdoor rink, she struggled a bit with the person running the front desk. To no one's surprise, they didn't speak German, which was the language she spoke, whenever she could. It was broken German, only being capable of saying one or two words at a time before straining herself, but German none the less. Thankfully, the person behind her acted as a translator, and in no time, she had a neat little nametag with her name on it as well as a note with the name of the person she was paired with. "Chihaya", a name she didn't recognize, which made her all the more excited.
Wolma began to walk around looking for the person named Chihaya close to the entrance. As she wanted, she was fairly early, which meant she could easily locate and find the person she was looking for. Having no better idea to do this, she began to show the name to any and everyone that walked through the entrance. Eventually, in her mind, she would come across Chihaya, and her evening would begin.
Blind dates weren’t the guardian’s usual scene, but nonetheless getting his face out there to further promote his businesses would never be a bad thing. It wasn’t even that they were small or new, it’s just that good pr was never something that should be overlooked. He ended up preparing for the event he was to attend with nicer clothing, though it wasn’t anything like what he wore for actual business dealings.
Honestly, it was a lot more lending to the comfortable side of things. It seemed to appropriately mark him as someone with a bit of money, but it also lent him a slightly more playful and casual air. Would the person he was set to meet be someone who would recognize him? No matter what the case would turn out to be, he was hoping that it was someone interesting. Chihaya didn’t want to deal with anyone like he did at work, all proper and no sense of fun.
Being the type that is a social person, he naturally wasn’t nervous in the slightest. He could easily adapt to social situations as needed, something he had picked up from being exposed to the hierarchy of the business world. His bright eyes and easy smile tended to put most at ease, even if he dis harbor a mischievous side.
His attention was drawn as he noticed someone show him his name, in neat handwriting on a note. The person holding the note was unlike any other he had ever met, having notable plant-like features. His mis-matched eyes meet her bright golden ones, and he finds their hue both pleasant and intriguing. ”Ah, you’re looking for me. You look lovely, by the way.”
The fact she had taken to searching him out on her own, showed that she must be excited for the activities. If this were the case, then the guardian wanted to ensure that she had as much fun as he could possibly ensure. ”I apologize for having kept you waiting. Where would you like to start?”
Delighted that she at last found who she was looking for, she smiled, and for a very brief moment a red hue engulfed her face on the compliment. She wasn't used to being complimented for her looks at all, so this was both a really nice surprise as well as a breath of fresh air, and to top it all off not many were staring at her unusual features. To her, Chihiya was the best dressed by far, and she couldn't help but feel a bit underdressed for the occasion.. but there was nothing she could do about it now.
After taking a few more moments to admire their colored eyes, she shook her head with hands raised in defense, signaling she wasn't waiting long before looking around, finally settling on an area where everyone was skating. They had to start somewhere, right? Before anything else, Wolma turned to face her blind date and pointed to her throat before meekly uttering out the word "Wolma". She only hoped that was enough to get the point across that speaking wasn't in her set of skills.
