Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!

she honestly hadn’t been keeping track of the time or how long it had taken xin to get ready. it was fun teasing him though. after the last series of texts she shoved the phone in her back pocket and grinned at xin."about time."she said playfully teasing him once more. it was fine, one shouldn't be too early to these types of things."we should do more of these timed challenges and see what kind of outfits you can come up with."she said with a nod. honestly she didn't mind waiting. he had an image to uphold or something. she really didn't care what she wore. she wasn't about designer brands or what not. she wore what fit and was comfortable."anyways, you look great!"
"while you were getting ready, i got us a ride it should be here soon."she planned on unwinding and having lots of fun. she normally would drive to these sort of events herself, but she knew better than to risk it tonight. despite how much she enjoyed to party, she made sure she was aware of her surroundings. was it weird that she always checked to see where the exits where? she always did a walk through of the place before getting comfortable. of course she didn't make it obvious when she did this. that would just make things difficult to explain.
her phone buzzed and she pulled it out from her back pocket. checking the notification, one was a text from the person she got the invite from and as she was about to respond. she received another one saying that the ride was here. she looked around before spotting the car."rides here. you ready?"

[attr="id","s"]"Damn right! Suddenly i've become a princess and take like 30 fucking minutes when getting ready." He snickers- with a smirk as he shifts his position he had standing on the curb. His head tilted to look over at Avery. The notion of some timed challenge was absolutely hilarious. it sounded right up his alley- "Watch me next time wearing multiple patterns and looking like I've come out of some hipster magazine or something." He grumbles under his breath. He certainly had the outfits for it- his stylist was big on experimentation even though his personal taste in... somethings were different. "Anyways you're looking hot as shit per usual, my dude." The compliment slides right off his tongue and despite his wording- He had meant it in a nice and platonic way. His vocabulary was just a bit unique in comparison to the usual. [break][break]
"Ahhh so reliable! Always can count on ya, Avery." He grins but a pause followed. "Lemme pay for the car ride- since i made you wait so dang long." A fair trade after all. He had to make sure he was glowing and she stayed out here in the cold for a bit so the one thing he could do is chip in where he should. "Really fucking hope Jeremy doesn't show up- last time I went to a party the dude was all over me despite my protests. had to fucking explain to candle, was an absolute shit show." He grumbles at the memory. He was a devoted man to his relationship and if some drunk moron wanted to get in the way he really wish he didn't have to hold back his punches. "Some people don't deserve to consume alcohol and I think that fella might be one of them."[break][break]
The mentions of a ride pulls him from the topic and he nods, following after her to the vehicle. "Ladies first~" He hummed teasingly as he opened up the car door for her all while greeting their driver with a friendly yo! Xin followed her into the car, settling in his seat before closing the door and putting his seatbelt on him.

she snorted at his response."i'm sure you could of just rolled out of bed, but i digress."xin had his reasons, he explained them very well in their text messages. he had an image to up hold and heaven forbid he look like a mess if he were to run into a rival or what not. she loved teasing him, it brought her joy."alright, next time for sure."
she laughed at his compliment."this old thing? you're too kind. i've hadn't worn it in forever, but thanks. i mean you do give out the best fashion tips. the the trendiest person i know."unlike xin, averie was a bit more laid back with what she wore. she had a few staples and if she needed to she could dress up. though at the moment she was more dressed for comfort than style. she had her favorite pair of black ripped jeans, a red satin tank and a jacket.
"of course! safety first, especially if we are gonna get wasted."she said with a laugh."don't worry about it doll. you can buy me food later."she said with a nod."well, if he does. you got me."there wasn't anything she wouldn't do to make sure people didn't bother her friends.
"so polite. unless of course you were talking about yourself."she snorts once more as she slides into the car and starts to pull up the address. since it was a last minute thing she had remember where they would be heading. some dude's house. so long as they could get back in once piece that's all that matter and of course that they had fun.
