Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.

Summer 2022
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
With April, an activity check has arrived for members to do! Please post on the AC and tag all your accounts, including WIPs and OOC accounts. Failure to post on this AC will result in your accounts being marked inactive or deleted. Please note, due to a late start, the due date for this check has been adjusted for one time and one time only.
Takumi had nodded to Kaitlynn's words of what she had been doing before he heard the blonde's response to his own piping up. His eyes flicked over to William as his face grew a nice shade of red, the scout resisting the urge to just smack a hand to his own forehead from that comment. Oh gods. Why? He glanced over to the sergeant and swallowed as he shook his head in disagreement. "No! No it's not that! William we were going to get you a phone so you can stay in contact with me!" He spoke up, glancing between the two as he finally did raise a hand to press it against his face.
He would definitely have to tell William what he said wrong later. Maybe. A small groan escaped the blue-haired scout as he closed his eyes and just silently tried to will the redness, and heat from it, to leave his face. Though the blush did extend to his ears as well, perhaps further showing how embarrased he was. "I wouldn't want to keep you ma'am, but I must also highly insist that that was not happening. Nor was going to happen." He spoke up after a minute or two, sighing heavily as he dropped his hand away from his face. Oh, what was he going to do now?
A slight red hue began to fill the blonds cheeks as he looked between the two. He wasn't sure exactly what was wrong with what he had said. Though he could feel the aura of confusion around his statement. Almost palpable even. Takumi's face began to turn redder by the moment, and Kaitlynn continued to shoot glances between the two. William could only stand there, head tilting slightly.
It was then that Takumi tried to redeem himself. Correcting the blonds misinterpretation. "Ah yes, the phone." He said with a soft chuckle. He had completely forgotten about the device the scout had mentioned earlier. Though his next statement caused a bit of confusion for the young man. As he didn't understand why Takumi was acting so panicked about a tour of all things. "Now Takumi." He said, waltzing over toward the two. "Miss Kaitlynn is the Sargent. I don't see why telling her is so bad." He said with a soft shrug, turning toward Kaitlynn in the process.
"Yes, Takumi had promised to take me to his bed, but that was before the.. 'thing' showed up. We were on our way there, right after Takumi had told me how he wishes to keep me locked in his basement." William said with a smile, though he was simply only making things worse for the scout. "And then you got here, just as I was coming out of the closet."
Slowly he raised one hand to the back of his head, eyes darting away from the two. "I really must apologise for causing you issue again miss Kaitlynn.. and too you as well Takumi. He said with a heavy sigh. "Perhaps… I should be going as well. I've already brought one of those things here. And you said yourself, that it isn't safe yet Takumi… not that I haven't enjoyed myself. But.. I would hate to cause you any more problems."
[attr="class","kaitlynntalker"]Confusion mingled with concern as Kaitlynn stood, listening to the scout and the blond he was charged with protecting and studying. The words stated resulted in suspicion entering the sergeant's mind, although, she was unaware those unclear statements manifested from William's innocence. She believed there were questionable interactions occurring and the young faekin was merely too naive to realize the weight of those actions. In short, she was under the impression the blue-haired man, Takumi, was taking advantage of the clueless, young man.
Silently, she listened as the topic was changed, seemingly to cover the words stated by William. The woman's purple eyes narrowed, locking hard on the blue-haired scout responsible for the blond. Red painted his face from the comment made by the faekin, suggesting he was similarly embarrassed about the idea or about being caught. The angel was silent as she waited for an explanation. Her stern facial expression accompanied by the hardness of her eyes made it obvious she was displeased with the words she was hearing.
After a groan, Takumi began insisting against anything happening between himself and William. Only moments after trying to formulate a defense did the blond rose and approached them. The young faekin smiled as he explained telling her was not bad and proceeded to mention him desiring to lock William in the basement... Her eyes shifted between them, arms crossed as she listened to the stated words. She remained silent as the blond mentioned leaving, her razor-sharp gaze fixated on Takumi.
"Is that so? While I think it is an excellent idea to leave, William. Can you wait by the front door for me? I want to see this 'basement' you spoke of," Kaitlynn requested, voice stern.
She was growing concerned there was a sketchy operation occurring inside Takumi's home. The word choice used by William suggested something worrisome and distorted the context of the situation. Either way, there was enough spoken about to prompt Kaitlynn to launch a miniature investigation while she was in the area. Alas, she remained wary because of the unit the blue-haired man mentioned. The scout deputy was known for his... questionable methods and manipulative behaviours. While she was not familiar with Brasti Vanderfeld, she heard rumours of his manipulation tactics.
There was plenty at stake should her beliefs be correct. The circumstances of her arrival in Lorsette were ill-favourable and perfect blackmail fodder. A young runaway escaping an arranged marriage now dating the lieutenant of unit two? It was obvious a few buzz words could be added to prompt intervention and fury from her biological parents.

William's words did not help his situation at all. In fact his words probably just made things very, very worse for the scout. He shook his head as he looked between the innocent blond and the rather suspicious sergeant, unable to form words now. He was...doomed. At the woman's words he flinched a little and lowered his gaze, not daring to look at either of them as he clenched a fist to his side. He felt his stomach drop and just felt so...sick now. He really fucked up. He swallowed a lump forming in his throat and exhaled slowly before he raised his head to look at the woman with an unreadable expression on his face. He didn't dare let his eyes fall over the young man he had been in charge of, not sure what would happen if he looked at him.
"Follow me then." He tried to sound fine but his voice was quiet and slightly strained much to his dismay. He turned on his heel to prevent his face from being looked at any further, marching towards the basement door and opening it for the woman. Though he suspected that she probably didn't really trust him at that moment so he hesitated before heading down the basement stairs himself and turned lights on as he went into the sub-level section of his home. Just like before there were still just boxes of items down there along with a shelf or two with other items on those. A small space off to the side had been cleared a bit but not much. Perhaps around five feet or so.
"Go through my things if it satisfies you. I have nothing down here that would bring harm to the Fae. I figured if I was to gain permission to house him here from time to time the safest spot would be in the basement." He spoke, frowning now as he crossed his arms. "What he meant by bed was my bedroom since I told him I'd show him around since it was different from his room back at headquarters. It was to pretty much give him an idea as to what his room would look like down here once I can get it built and protections set up." He went on, shaking his head before he glanced up towards the stairs briefly.
He was angry, yes, but he was also worried along with a bunch of other emotions that swirled up inside him. He truly found himself liking the blond but his words to the sergeant may as well have gotten the scout fired. Or worse. He watched the woman do her looking around right where he stood, still rather unhappy about it all. He didn't like the idea of getting punished but he also figured his unit leader should know one of their member's had been investigated on whim. Not that he'd mention any of that to the woman. "Finished your fill of snooping around? Did you find anything that satisfied you? Thank you for dispatching the terror but please leave now. I'll take the Fae back to his room and you can carry on your rounds." He spoke up, his voice curt and slightly snappish. Well, that was definitely unusual of the nephilim. Though he supposed he had a right to be annoyed in such a way as well.
Though the young blond seemed chipper than ever. He couldn't help but feel like something was off. As the air between the other two agents had somewhat soured. Kaitlynn's eyes shifted about for any sort of foul play, and Takumi… well Takumi was trying his best to explain himself. William clearly being no help when it came to defusing the situation. He stood there, head cocking back and forth between the two as they seemed to exchange heated glances.
It was like you could cut the tension with a knife. Bringing a startled jump out of the young man as Kaitlynn spoke up. Telling him to wait by the door. "Oh, Uhm.. alright." He said slightly nervously, unsure of what had happened to provoke such conflict between the two. Blissfully unaware that it was entirely his own fault. Slowly he made his way toward the front door as the other two made their way down the hall. Slowly disappearing down the basement steps.
He couldn't tell what the two were conversing about, though from the tone he could tell something was off. He cocked his head to the side softly. Giving a few moments pause before slowly walking across the living room floor toward the looming staircase. He froze as he stood at the entrance. Unsure if he should continue down, or stay where he was. "Takumi.. miss Kaitlynn.. is everything alright?" He called out into the recess. Figuring it was best for him not to come down. After all, he had caused enough problems at this point. Though that just seemed par for the course when it came to the fae.
[attr="class","kaitlynntalker"]The angel maintained a straightened posture, revealing her taller-than-average height. There were intimidation tactics being accomplished because of the tense situation. As it stood, the words stated by William made her hesitant to trust Takumi, particularly ones which mentioned locking the faekin into a basement or showing him the bed. Even her brief interactions with the blond provided knowledge to his innocent and naive nature. Therefore, the brunette planned on assuring William would not be taken advantage of.
Their first interaction was nothing favourable because of the situation, but Kaitlynn knew William meant no harm. Rather... he accidentally plunged himself in dangerous and sometimes questionable circumstances. Hence the sergeant's caution in verifying William's safety while in the area. When William agreed to wait by the door, Kaitlynn watched him leave for a few moments before locking her eyes back on Takumi. The man appeared to be dismayed by what happened, but the brunette hardly cared about his feelings towards her actions.
As a high-ranking TRS member, Kaitlynn considered it a part of her duties to assure the safety of members to the organization. She followed behind the blue-haired man as he took lead. They walked through the house, closing in on the basement. A door was opened, leading them down into the basement level where the lights were promptly flicked on. The basement appeared to mostly be used as a storage area considering the amount of boxes. From their current position, Kaitlynn surveyed the area with her brilliant purple eyes.
When provided permission to go through his items, the angel nodded at him with acknowledgement. With those words, she marched forward, walking alongside the boxes, eyes gazing inside. She planned on accomplishing a simple survey before informing the head of scouting in unit one about the incident. As she analyzed the area, she listened to the man's explanation for William's phrasing of certain sentences. She could comprehend the idea of the blond innocently stating something without realizing the problems which could manifest from it.
Posture remained straight as the angel poked around slightly, mostly checking each box without accomplishing a thoroughly investigation. As a member of unit two, Kaitlynn did not consider it her place to conduct a thorough check on the situation, however, she could report upon her findings and formulate a suggestion. She was finishing her rounds when the man rudely and snappishly spoke. The sergeant stiffened, glaring over her shoulder at the snippy scout. She did not appreciate being disrespected for carrying out her duties.
She turned on her heel, marching back towards the blue-haired man with a stern and disapproving expression. Members were not supposed to speak to higher ups with that language.
"I'm not impressed, Mr. Enomoto. I was willing to understand your situation, but with how willing you were to disrespect me right now, I'm now uncertain if William should be placed here," Kaitlynn explained coldly. "Also, I will be taking him home. I want to ask him more questions about what was said. Then I will be bringing up what I found with Scout Deputy Vanderfeld and perhaps the lieutenant as well. Now, if you want a chance of having William housed here, I recommend not snapping at a higher up, do I make myself clear?"
While she awaited for a confirmation, Kaitlynn began heading up the stairs. She could hear William's words echo down the stairs, inquiring about their well-being.
"Everything is fine. I will be taking you back to headquarters, okay William?" She called up from below.
The brunette proceeded up the stairs with plans to guide William back to headquarters. She wanted to give a casual interrogation to gather more information about the subject.

Takumi stiffened a little at her words, a frown on his face as he kept his eyes trained on her. He bit his tongue however, merely resorting to clenching a hand into a fist behind his back. He had ever right to be angry, and here she was expecting him to roll over and let her do as she pleased in his own home. His head turned towards the stairs as he heard William speak, once more feeling a lump forming in his throat. He wouldn't respond to the woman, but the thought - and fear - that the woman would be interrogating the blond more was...concerning. He swallowed as he turned to watch the woman begin to walk up the stairs to the blond, his stomach dropping as dread just overcame him. No, no this wasn't right. This wasn't good. He had to do something, he had to keep the blond safe from even his own, naive words.
The blue-haired scout took a step forward, pushing the air in front of him as he teleported himself behind the blond, looking down at the woman coming up the stairs. Without really thinking he wrapped an arm around William and pulled him back as he slammed the basement door shut and locked it. He knew that would hardly hold her for long but at the moment he was more in a state of panic and not really thinking straight. The scout pulled William back with him a few steps as he looked around in a panicked fashion, heart pounding in his chest as he just held onto the blond. Oh fuck, oh fuck what did he do? He just locked a gods damned TRS sergeant in his BASEMENT. FUCK.
"William we need to go....right now. I did something bad at the moment but things already were bad the moment she decided she was going to take you back to headquarters." He told him, mumbling a few things under his breath in his native tongue. Yeah, yeah he was totally screwed. He could see about taking his car but they'd probably track that...NO. NO. He wasn't going to just flee with the boy. "Fuck, fuck fuck fuck...." He groaned out, leading the blond over to his room and shutting the door before he grabbed his phone. He paced about his room, having released the blond, as he looked through his contacts for someone to help him.
"Fuck...fuck fuck fuck... Pick up the phone!" He ran his free hand through his hair as he continued to pace about as he had called someone he, hopefully, trusted enough to help him out. Ah, finally the line clicked. "Doni! Doni I fucked up a bit um. So the sergeant...well, Sergeant Harris came by to dispatch a terror or two at my place and um..I may have snapped at her because she decided she wanted to investigate my basement since I've been meaning to ask you and all about housing the Fae at my home from time to time for more safety reasons and uh...yeah I got annoyed at her and I ended up locking her in my basement so she wouldn't take William away from me." He blurted out, pausing in his pacing only to continue it as he tugged at his hair a little. "Doni please, I'll do whatever you want. I'll clean your god damned bathroom for a month if you just help me, sir. I can't lose him, I can't let anyone take him away from my side. It's my job to protect him and I'd be failing if someone takes him. I...I'm still at my house. I decided to not be a complete idiot and flee with him. Please please please come quickly, Doni!"
Donovan had been away from his desk, tending to AP that had been spotted in the area, since he wasn't a fan of lingering around doing paperwork when he would much rather be out there on the front lines. He had just arrived back to the TRS HQ, handing his prisoners over to the guards to lock up when his phone had suddenly gone off. Slowly he withdrew his phone from his pocket, having taken notice of the caller ID before answering the phone. "Takumi." He answered, going silent as he listened to the scout speaking over him, clearly frantic about something. There was a pause and he was tempted to make a comment but refrained, a good thing he did too, since Takumi had started talking again. "You want me to come right now?" He asked, secretly amused by the events that had taken place. It seemed to him that Kaitlynn had managed to get herself locked up in Takumi's basement. This was just too amusing to pass up. Though another reason for motivating him was because Takumi had found the young faekin. The one they had found and had given a room here. He had gone missing months ago and nobody could seem to find him, so he had told them not to worry about it because he'd continue the search alone and what happens?
Takumi ends up being the one to find him. He wasn't sure if he had searched him out or not, but it would be of great importance for William to be brought back to TRS HQ immediately, whether Takumi liked the idea or not. It wasn't anything personal, it was just they could keep him safe here better than they could at anywhere else and by the sounds of things, Takumi had brought William to his home and Terrors hadn't wasted any time invading so it clearly wasn't a safe place for him, yet. Regardless of the answer that Takumi gave him, he had already left the TRS HQ and headed in the direction of Takumi's house, choosing to use his enhanced speed while running there. He would remain silent, having planned on listening to Takumi, as he made his way over there. It wasn't long before he arrived and had noticed the broken window before slipping through it. It didn't take him long to find the basement door, seeing as Kaitlynn was behind it. He'd place his phone on mute before leaning close to the door, whispering. "Sergeant Harris." He called through the door, clearly amused by this own situation.
"I do hope that you'll come to forgive Takumi." He answered, looking at the handle to check to see if it would require a key or if he'd be able to just unlock it from his side. He knew that Takumi wouldn't likely be happy for her to be released but seeing as they were on the same side on the subject, it wasn't appropriate for her to remain locked in his basement, even if he did plan on giving a hard time on handing William back over to them. He turned the lock, before opening it slowly before moving away to look to see if he was still on the phone with Takumi before slipping it in his pocket as he started searching around the house for Takumi and William, since he had said that he had been good and hadn't fled with him. "Takumi Enomoto!" He called out as he started wandering around the house for them.
"Miss sarg- Kaitlynn, if something is wrong It's not Takumi's Fault. He didn't do anything." William called out down the stairs in response to the Sargent. Feeling more nervous as the two suddenly came into sight coming up the stairs. "I mean it is my fault the terror sho-" He began to say, stopping abruptly as he noticed Takumi vanish. Not a moment later and there was an arm suddenly wrapping around his torso and pulling him backward. Causing the blond to let out a soft gasp. Everything started to happen so quickly. Gold dust began to drift aimlessly around the two as William was tossed about. His assailant slamming the door shut on the Sargent. Before pulling him back a few steps. It was then that it dawned on William what was happening. He had spoken too soon. Takumi had.. almost done nothing wrong.
"Takumi!" William called out as the scout began frantically spouting off about how he had messed up. It only caused the blond to become more flustered. He wanted to trust Takumi, but he wanted to trust the Sargent as well. 'I mean.. their on the same side.' William thought to himself, cocking his head slightly. He began to reply, yet was given little time as the scout started to act sporadic once more. "Wait Takumi why? Not moments after the words left his lips he was suddenly being pulled along toward the back of the house. "Why did you lock up the Sargent?!" He called out as Takumi flung him into the bedroom, finally releasing his grip once they were inside.
Stumbling into the room William took a few steps past the scout. Stopping once he was in the center of the room and spinning on his heel toward the man. "Takumi please tell me what's going on!" He shouted, yet his words fell on deaf ears. Takumi, too preoccupied with his phone to notice the blond was becoming just as frantic. After a moment though the scout seemed to find what he was looking for. Dialing the number and shouting into the phone in a panic. But strangely enough the blond suddenly went quiet as he listened to the man's words.
Even after Takumi had hung up William stood there silent. His body trembling quietly. Eyes locked to the floor. Hands slowly curling into fists. His thoughts bubbling to the surface and he suddenly glared upward toward the scout. "Why does everyone always think I need protecting! I'm not a child!" He shouted, not even noticing the lieutenant calling out from across the house.
[attr="class","kaitlynntalker"]Everything was planned inside Kaitlynn's head as she steadily ascended the staircase. She would return William to headquarters and inquire about his relationship with Takumi. There was still a chance she could be incorrect about the blue-haired scout's intentions, however, the faekin's safety was required to be placed ahead of everything else. If an investigation proved Takumi was safe company for William, then they could be reunited. Gradually, she approached the top of the stairs, ears listening to William's words.
Her mouth opened to respond, when suddenly a light shaped similar to a person appeared atop the stairs. The blue-haired man appeared at the top of the stairs. The angel's eyes widened as the man wrapped around William, the other reaching for the basement door. The brunette hurried forward, gantlet-covered hand reaching for the basement door, however, the speed necessary was beyond her capability. The door slammed shut, closing the threshold. The sounds of a turning lock reached the sergeant's ears as she approached the door.
The purple-eyed woman glared at the closed threshold as the distance was eliminated. This man possessed the gull to lock her inside his accursed basement! An annoyed growl escaped the huntresses lips as her hands balled into fists. She began banging on the door, clearly angry.
"LET ME OUT OF HERE OR SO HELP ME!" Kaitlynn shouted through the door. "YOU BETTER BE RUNNING, BECAUSE YOU HAVE HELL TO PAY FOR THIS!"
An aggravated groan lifted from the brunette's throat as she clenched her fists harder. THIS BLUE-HAIRED CRIMINAL WILL PAY FOR ACCOMPLISHING THESE RIDICULOUS ACTIONS! The angel grabbed a radio, bringing to her lips. There was a chance Takumi was already running away, therefore, she needed interception. Smoothly, she flicked on the radio as she prepared to report the blue-haired man.
"I need back up! Takumi Enomoto is disobeying orders and locked me in a FUCKING BASEMENT! I NEED SOMEONE TO WATCH THE AREA AROUND US TO MAKE SURE HE DOES NOT ESCAPE!" There was authority in Kaitlynn words accompanied by frustration.
Meanwhile, she began charging her gauntlets, preparing to blast down the door. Electricity gathered, the sergeant becoming prepared until suddenly, someone called through the door. The familiar voice of Donovan Beckard reached her ears, the unit one lieutenant. The amusement dripping from his voice prompted a clear followed by a disgruntled frown, especially when he CONTINUED TO SPEAK! The angel's mouth gaped as Donovan suggested forgiving TAKUMI for LOCKING HER IN THE BASEMENT!
"HE LOCKED ME IN A GOD DAMN BASEMENT! HE SHOULD APOLOGIZE TO ME!" She shouted the words through the door, clearly infuriated by the situation.
When the door was eventually unlocked and opened, Kaitlynn crossed her arms. With brisk steps, she escaped the basement. She was still displeased with the entire circumstance. Despite her fuming, she remained silently, allowing the lieutenant who resided over Takumi's unit to speak.

As Donovan answered him the scout had continued to just spill out a rambling sentence of words that were filled with panic as he continued to pace around his bedroom. However, his attention was snapped over to the blond as he finally took notice of his words, the blue-haired man stared at William as a flurry of emotions crossed his eyes. He lowered his phone away from his ear and hesitated before he hung up, sighing heavily as he raised his other hand and pressed it to his face, moving to sit on the edge of his bed. As he did that the blue-haired nephilim tossed his phone towards his pillows and gestured for William to come sit down beside him. He had heard Donovan calling out his name though his attention was set on William at the moment.
"You aren't a child, that's correct but..." He trailed off, frowning as he shook his head and leaned forward to rest his elbows on his knees as he rubbed his face in his hands. "You're naive and innocent, William. Anyone could take advantage of you or get you to say things without you meaning to. If the sergeant had taken you away and asked you many questions...we might not be able to see each other again. Someone else would have to take my place and I don't think they'd be as understanding towards you as I am..." He told him gently, lowering his hands away from his face to look at William once more. "You're special to me William, and I don't want to lose you. I don't want you to feel scared or alone with a stranger either. Do you understand that at least? If you had left with Sergeant Harris I might as well have lost you then." He went on after a moment, glancing towards the door before he turned his attention back over to the blond. Assuming he was sitting on the bed beside him Takumi raised a hand to gently cup the blond's chin and leaned towards him to place a gentle kiss against his lips. Probably not the smartest idea considering just who was in his home but a small dosage...he could hide that, right? Plus he wanted to reassure the blond as well.
After that he pulled away and stood up once more, that same feeling coming over him from the other times he had gotten dosed up. "Stay right there, okay? The man I called should help us." He informed him, gesturing for him to wait with a hand as he walked over to his door and steeled himself up for the confrontation he'd no doubt be faced with. After a few moments he opened his door a little, rapping it with his knuckles to signal Donovan of his location before he backed away and moved to the end of his bed and stood there with his hands behind his back as he did his best to collect himself before Donovan and Kaitlynn would enter his room.
Donovan had been called, but instead of radioing in to tell Kaitlynn he was on his way, he figured he'd pass that task on too Brasti because he could hear him on the phone with Takumi. It would be so bothersome should TRS come even though he was already on his way but he didn't want Kaitlynn to know just yet. It was difficult to not find this rather amusing, hearing it from both people. He felt sorry for Takumi, oh how he would come to regret pissing Kaitlynn off, assuming that ensuring her he'd handle him failed to convince her of the matter. He spoke to her, nodding his head of approval, the best way to handle things would be through apology and it would be too late for Kaitlynn to change her mind on the matter. "I feel that it would be best for you both to apologize to each other. You are a fierce woman, not one to be reckoned with and I fear you might have scared my scout into this sudden action." He answered as he started walking down the hall, calling for Takumi.
It had been a few minutes before the door had suddenly been open, hearing a rapping on the door before he pushed the door open to see Takumi standing near his bed with William sitting on it. "First I would like to say, you both should apologize to each other, right now." He held a friendly smile on his face but was quite serious on the subject. "And how are you doing William Farris? The last time you saw me, I appeared much older but I'm still the same man." He answered, expecting Takumi and Kaitlynn to apologize to each other while making small talk with William. He knew that Brasti was able to hear this whole conversation, should things go south from here, not that they needed to know about this.
He… he had just shouted.. at Takumi The man who protected him. The only person who didn't seem afraid to touch him. His hands were still balled into fists. His eyes now locked to the floor as he felt a rush of emotions. Almost on the verge of tears. He was upset. Panicked. Scared.
It wasn't his fault his abilities always seemed to cause trouble. He didn't mean to draw the terrors to himself. Now or any other time. He didn't want to avoid touching any living thing, but it wasn't like he could do anything about it. He was powerless.. and yet, oh so powerful. Like some kind of curse. He was starting to realize why the fae had wanted him to stay. They were just trying to keep him locked away as well.
His thoughts were finally interrupted by Takumi. The scout patting his bed with a motion for the blond to sit down. At first William wanted to refuse, a part of him still upset at the situation having spiraled out of control. Yet the other part of him wanted comfort, something to ease his worries. Hesitantly he stepped over and sat with a plop, eyes still looking away from the man as he started to speak. And at first Takumi's words stung. Causing a soft lump to form in Williams throat. For as much as he hated to admit it, Takumi was right. He bit his lip nervously, taking in what the scout had to say. Yet after a moment the conversation turned. And slowly, William began to glance over at the man. 'He.. doesn't want to lose me?'
With watery eyes the blond fully turned toward Takumi. Finally starting to understand. The scout didn't care about keeping him locked away. Or making sure he couldn't hurt anyone. He just cared about him. A soft gasp escaped the blonds lips as he prepared to speak. "Ta-" His words were cut off by the scout's gentle caress of his chin. And the soft lips pressing against his own. William just seemed to melt into it, like puddy in the man's hands. All of his worries were forgotten. And all that needed to be said happened in that moment.
As they pulled apart the air between them crackled softly. Takumi headed toward the door, and William sat there in the afterglow of the moment. Only to be brought right back to reality by the seriousness of their situation. He felt like he only had a moment to blink a few times before suddenly the room was crowded with people. Takumi, himself, the Sargent, as well as a green haired man that seemed to waltz right up to him. Nervously and almost instinctively William leaned backward slightly as the man greeted him. Causing the blond a slight confusion with his words. "Nice to meet you.. Mr.. Doni?" He said, only repeating the name he had heard Takumi shouting earlier.
[attr="class","kaitlynntalker"]Anger coursed through Kaitlynn’s veins from being locked in a basement for her actions. Furthermore, Donovan Beckard, the great unit one lieutenant decided SHE was expected to APOLOGIZE! The angel genuinely believed she was accomplishing her duties as a sergeant. Investigating suspicious circumstances that placed members of the TRS in danger was a job she placed high upon the mantle. While William had caused her problems during their first encounter, the brunette was determined to shield him from danger when possible.
Alas, her investigations landed her on the receiving end of something she considered humility; being required to apologize when she did NOTHING WRONG! The angel’s purple eyes were drawn into a glare, however, she dared not voice a further complaint with somebody ranked higher than her. The infamous Donovan Beckard was a TRS lieutenant, meanwhile, she was a mere sergeant. Would it stop her from being salty about the entire situation? Definitely not. The genuineness in her upcoming apology would be questionable, but she would say those words to avoid trouble.
“Fine,” Kaitlynn grumbled out.
The brunette’s arms were crossed as she rolled her eyes, clearly discontented with the situation. Quietly, she followed Donovan, annoyed by the requirement she was handed. Gradually, they moved through the house, reaching the location the voice came from. As they entered the room, Kaitlynn’s narrowed eyes watched Takumi, her face bitter. When Donovan stated they were required to apologize to one another, an annoyed sigh escaped her lips.
“I’m sorry,” she said, only somewhat genuine.
She believed there was no reason for her to apologize. There was nothing wrong with her actions, each having the proper intentions! A sergeant searching to protect a faekin, but being told she was wrong.
[ SO SORRY! I MISSED THIS ONE! ;-; ]
grab your coat, leave a note & run away with me.

As the duo entered his room, he grasped his hands behind his back a little tightly from Donovan's words. Despite that friendly smile there was an underlying seriousness to it. Damn, well he couldn't just not apologize to the sergeant as it was...his fault in the first place. He glanced towards William and released a soft breath of amusement at how he greeted the green-haired man before his attention moved back over to Kaitlynn as she apologized. Well, that was something he supposed. "I'm sorry as well, especially for locking you in my basement out of..panic." He spoke up, giving her a small nod before he turned his attention once more back over to William and Donovan. Just what was going to happen now? Would he be separated from the Fae or would he be able to stay with him at least with the lieutenant's permission?
