Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.

Summer 2022
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
With April, an activity check has arrived for members to do! Please post on the AC and tag all your accounts, including WIPs and OOC accounts. Failure to post on this AC will result in your accounts being marked inactive or deleted. Please note, due to a late start, the due date for this check has been adjusted for one time and one time only.
A soft chime rang out as the sleek glass front doors to the TRS headquarters opened. The metal frame giving off its own hum as it slid into place. Visitors to the headquarters were common. People often rushing in and out on their business. Yet much less common was someone unsure whether or not to enter at all. Looking slightly disheveled, as if they had been staying outside. Simply standing there, staring in like a lost puppy. 'Do-do I just walk in? What if they kick me out again? Maybe they left me at the hospital for a reason...' William thought to himself as he stated through the glass. Watching as individuals chatted and went about their daily lives, completely unaware of the young fae. 'Maybe I should just go..'
~Bing~
The door slid open once more, snapping the blond out of his thoughts. Provoking a small grumble out of the teen. As he began to feel like the entryway was mocking him at this point. He was just about ready to take his leave when a sudden voice from inside caught his attention. "Sir?"" A woman behind a counter called out to him. "Sir, did you need something?" She stated, having clearly been watching him standing there for some time. "I uh..." He said rather quietly. Realizing he was going to have to enter if he was going to answer her question. Hesitantly he put one foot forward through the doors, awaiting some sort of alarm to go off as soon as he was in the building. Yet none came. One cautious step after the other he made his way up to the counter. Eyes glued to the floor. "I want to go back to my room please." He said nervously. Causing a rather surprised reaction from the woman. "Excuse me? Sir this is the TRS headquarters. Now if you don't have business here you need to leave." "No really, my name's William. I live here... Or well, lived here. I-i just want to go back to my room please. I remember, it's through here. I can just go myself. Really." William pleaded with the woman, acting slightly frantic in the process.
Needless to say the woman didn't take his sudden decision to enter on his own lightly. And motioned toward a nearby Hunter to escort the boy out. William didn't even notice the man approaching. And as the man's hand gripped onto the bonds shoulder it was already too late. Like swatting a moth the man seemed to knock a golden dust into the air as he touched the boy. The small flakes cackled and sparked as they drifted through the air, disappearing only moments later. The hunters face contorted, his eyes fluttered, he fell with a thump. The receptionist watched, screamed, then hit a button on the desk.
Takumi had been at the headquarters of TRS idly going through records and security footage having been working on trying to find a missing...person. He had flirted his way into the records room to do such a thing, though as to how long he had been there was beyond him. However, his attention was soon, or maybe eventually, captured by the sound of the alarm going off. Were they being attacked? Would AP really be that bold to go after them at their HQ?
Takumi dropped what he had been doing and got to his feet, hurrying towards the door only to push the air in front of him which allowed him to teleport away. He came to a stop in the lobby of the building, having appeared out of nowhere, and looked around for any enemies. There...there wasn't anyone else other than a hunter on the ground, the receptionist still screaming, some other people who had quickly responded to the alarm, and a familiar looking boy.
The scout raised a hand to press it to his chest before he looked around before he teleported to the medic ward and grabbed some heavy blankets before teleporting back. That probably wasn't the brightest idea of his, but at least it wasn't a person right? He jogged over to the boy, a little light-headed from his recent teleporting with the blankets, and threw one of the heavy blankets around William's shoulders and draped the other one over that blanket so he could block his own touching him better.
"It's okay! I've got this! Go about your business! I'll go bring him down to the cells for questioning, yeah?" He spoke out in a loud voice, beginning to guide William towards the doors leading towards the rest of the building that TRS took claim of. He turned his attention over to William as he continued to guide slash push him along, keeping a smile on his face as he looked at him. "Where have you been?" He questioned him in a hushed tone, his smile fading briefly with a look of more concern crossing his face.
As the receptionist screamed panic seemed to fill the central lobby. People who had been standing around turned rather abruptly to stare at the spectical taking place just mere feet away. A hunter down, a frantic woman, and a confused looking boy. All the while the alarm buzzed overhead, alerting the building to possible attack. William could hear the scuffle of feet in the distance. As anyone capable of handling an emergency began to make their way to the entryway. He could feel a tightness in his chest, a panic begining to overtake him. As he realized that it probably would have been better had he not entered at all. "S-sorry, I didn't mean to do that, really!" He begged, raising his hands in a defensive manner. All the while the woman seemed to cower behind her desk.
He didn't even know how to react to the sudden outburst. Instead standing there much like a deer in headlights as everything went down around him. And then, suddenly, everything went black.
There was a soft thump against the young man's back as he felt some sort of object wrapping itself around him. It flopped over his head, blacking out his view of the world. Almost instantly he began to fight at the thing. His arms flailing as he felt like he had been trapped in some sort of net. "What is this?! Hey! Let me-" He began to shout, when a new voice chimed in behind him cutting him off. Almost instantly he ceased his thrashing, instead trying to focus on the noise behind himself. 'That voice...' William wondered for only a moment. Until he felt a soft nudge against his back, urging him forward. A few steps later and the man chimed in once more. This time provoking a much larger response from the blond. "Takumi?" He said curiously. Simultaneously he began to fiddle with the blankets once more. This time managing to make a gap to fit his head through. As he peaked out he took a gasp of fresh air, having felt slightly claustrophobic inside the mounds of fabric. And he peaked over his shoulder, only to notice the voice was in fact coming from the blue haired male. "T-Takumi!" He shouted, rather excited to see the man once more. He even considered giving the man a hug, had he been able too. "The city. They told me to go." He said in reference to being discharged from the hospital. A horrible misunderstood on the young man's part. "Uhm... Takumi." He began for a moment, realizing he was being guided back into the facility. "Won't you get in trouble for letting me in?"
Takumi gave off a slightly exasperated sigh and smiled as William poked his head out of the blankets he had thrown over him, shouting out his name in what he hoped was excitement. He stopped their walking and moved the both of them over to the side of the hall, turning the blond around to face him finally. He listened to his words before nodding slightly in acknowledgement, though at his next words Takumi chuckled and winked at him.
"Now, I'm too pretty to get in trouble for helping such a cutie! After all, you were just here to see me, yeah?" He told him, grinning as he lifted a finger and tapped the side of his own head lightly. Oh, he could just poke the blond's nose if he were able to. "Now, let's see about finding your room, yeah? If there's any trouble I could always use such a cute roommate at my own place, hm? We need to get you out of those clothes anyway, you look almost like a homeless person." He piped up, adjusting the blankets to cover just the top of the boy's head so he could pat him there.
"Come on, let's keep going then. If we're stopped I'll deal with that." He added after a moment, turning him around once more and placed a hand on the middle of William's back as he stepped into line beside him so they could continue walking once more. "So, where did you go? Don't tell me you were off, dare I say, replacing me?" He spoke up, releasing a dramatic gasp as he placed his free hand on his chest in mock shock. "Oh, where did I go wrong?" He added after that, joking around naturally as he glanced towards him once more and gave him a knowing smile with a wink.
"You don't have to worry though, William. It's my priority to take care of you, I've already gotten in trouble when you were...misplaced. At least from the very few who know you're here." He told him, shifting his hand to rub the blond's back a little in a comforting manner. "The only thing that matters is that you're back now, yeah?" He told him with a gentle tone, offering him another smile as he guided William to where the blond's room was located at.
William couldn't help but be carted along by the man. The two only stopping briefly as Takumi spun the blond around so that they were face to face. Yet the expression on the man's face wasn't exactly what William had anticipated. He had expected the man to be upset, to scold him at the least. But he actually seemed happy to see the fae, joyous even. 'Cu-tie?' William pondered the word for a moment. He had been called many things sense coming to the city. Fae, fairy, prisoner, ditz. But this word was new. "See you? I suppose but.." Before he could manage to finish the man's words finally clicked for the young man. Provoking a slight jump as he realized what Takumi had meant. "Ah yes! See you, my friend Takumi." He said out loud, and in a rather obnoxious tone. Followed by a thumbs up, as if to signal he had nailed it.
Not a moment later and the man was making another statement. This time regarding the rather dismal state of Williams wardrobe, and his lack of housing. "I think it makes me look rugged." He stated in a rather matter of fact sort of way. As even with his stained clothes and unkempt appearance, he was surprisingly clean. Due entirely to his fae blood keeping him in tune with what little nature existed in the city. He gave the scout a smile, considering the other half of his statement. As Takumi had offered him a place in his own room. And William was fully prepared to explain how dangerous an idea that was. But couldn't get the chance, as the blue haired male quickly moved to cover his head once more. Giving it a soft pat as he did so.
The slight action provoked a small, rather embarrassed grumble from the young man. His gaze quickly darting toward the floor. As even if it wasn't real contact, he greatly appreciated the man's actions to accommodate. The embarrassment didn't last long though. As the blond was suddenly spinning around, being led forward once more. All the while Takumi continued to chat. "Well I'm not sure exactly. This city is so massive. Cafe is lovely, and the library..." He said, becoming slightly more excited as he got to talk about his adventures. "And the park, and motel! Oh motel, have you been to motel?" He said with a smile, turning to glance over at Takumi. Only to lock eyes with him for a moment as the blue haired man almost seemed to apologise for letting him get lost in the first place. "Takumi I didn't know..." He said, feeling ashamed for having gotten the man in trouble by proxy. "I should have come back sooner. I just... I didn't know where to go."
Takumi listened to William speak, telling him of where he had gone to including a motel. The scout chuckled lightly at his words and lifted a hand to lightly ruffle the top of William's head where the blankets were over his head still. "Yeah, I've been to a motel before. You should try staying at a hotel though, they're like motels but bigger and better." He told him, pausing as he listened to his next words. He smiled once more and moved his hand to wrap his arm around William's shoulders, pulling him close towards him a little to give him a small hug as they walked. "Hey now... I'm not blaming you. Let's see about getting you a phone so you can contact me if you get lost again, yeah?"
He moved his arm a bit to rest his hand once more on the middle of the blond's back so he could walk better. He continued to lead the way down a few more halls before finally getting to where William's room was, stopping before it. "Why don't you go ahead and go on in, yeah? I'll be right back with a snack. I think you could use a nice, warm shower and some fresh clothes." He told him, offering him a smile before he reached a hand up to place it on his shoulder for a moment, giving it a soft squeeze before he pulled away.
"I'll be back before you know it. Now, you go get yourself all nice and wet, eh?" He spoke up, grinning mischievously with a wink before he waited for William to go into his room before he would turn and teleport himself to where the food was normally kept. He grabbed a plastic bag an just grabbed a random assortment of snacks, such as chips and some bottled soft drinks, into the plastic bag before he teleported himself, and the bag of snacks, back to William's room. In all it just took a few minutes for him to gather the things he had wanted to grab for the blond.
Once in front of the door again he knocked on it loudly before he began to open the door, holding the bag up slightly. "Coming in, cutie! I brought snacks!" He called out, poking his head in before he stepped into the room and shut the door behind him. Honestly, it sometimes baffled him how someone that was younger than him was taller than him by just one inch. Such blasphemy.
William hadn't taken the time to consider how his actions may have affected Takumi. When he had been told he was 'free to go' from the hospital he had done just that. Not even considering the mess he was getting himself into. He couldn't help but feel ashamed. After all he had gotten his only friend in trouble by proxy. A soft grumble began to escape his lips, cut short by a sudden pressure pulling the two closer. Feeling the man's embrace William felt a heat rising in his face. A soft roseyness filling his cheeks as Takumi tried to comfort him. "Y-yeah, that would be nice."
Not a moment later and the duo were on the move once more. The pair catching the occasional glance from the other TRS agents walking around. As they weren't the most inconspicuous. Takumi hurrying along what could only be described as looking like a cartoon ghost through the halls. Yet luckily no one stopped to ask questions. Doing little more than casting confused stares in their direction. A few more minutes and the two had finally come to the far end of the medical ward. The scars from the previous attack all but cleaned up by this point. And as they stood there in front of the familiar door William felt happiness bubbling up within him. He glanced over his shoulder giving Takumi a nod of approval as the man took his leave. Wasting no time after he left to pry open the entryway.
Once inside he rested his back against the door. Taking a deep breath as he took in his surroundings. Though he had only been gone for months it was evident that the room had been abandoned by the dust that had fallen. Overall the room was rather space though. Lacking any windows or alternative entrances, for safety reasons of course. A single bed, dresser, and desk. Along with a secondary door to the bathroom. Though it wasn't much it was home to the young man as long as he was under the care of the TRS. And currently it was like heaven to the young male.
His first order of business was to drop the blankets adorning himself. Followed quickly after by darting directly to the bed and jumping on to it with a thump. He took a deep breath, enjoying the smell of clean linen. He had to fight every urge not to fall asleep then and there. His excitement keeping him awake for the time being. After a few moments of rolling around he decided he should probably take Takumi's advice. And proceeded into the bathroom. Washing away the grime and filth that had accrued. Yet as he bathed his mind wandered to the man responsible for bringing him here in the first place. When they had first met Takumi was almost like someone completely different. He had been much more serious. Sent off on a mission to find out whatever was attracting terrors. He hadn't expected to find a young man. And William didn't blame him for considering him to be an enemy, at first. Yet once they returned to the city, the man's attitude had changed. He was much more lively, much more fun. Needless to say William rather liked the city Takumi.
He had just finished washing himself and stood in the bathroom drying his hair when he heard a knock at his door. Remembering the scouts words William instantly perked up. Wrapping the towel around his waist and stepping into his room at the same time as Takumi. "Do come in, I'm famished." He said with a smile, seemingly unfazed by the fact he was practically naked in front of the other male. "You used that word again… que-tea? What does it mean?" He said making his way over toward his dresser.
His eyes scanned the blond over just standing there with a towel wrapped around his waist, just simply taking in the sight of that before he blinked and grinned at William as he walked over. "Ah, cutie? It's just a little nickname of sorts. Pretty much I'm calling you cute." He told him, chuckling a little as he sat down on the bed as he opened the plastic bag in his lap. Honestly, he wasn't really that fazed by William practically naked in front of him, but then again what did the blond know?
"Hey, why don't you go ahead and throw on some comfortable, clean clothes while I pull the snacks out, hm?" He suggested to him, giving him a smile before he turned his attention back over to the bag as he pulled out some bags of chips and the bottled soft drinks which consisted of Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Sprite, and a couple others. Once he was done pulling some out of the bag, leaving a few others in there, he set the plastic bag on the floor and leaned back on his hands as he sat on the bed still, the small pile of snacks lying on the bed beside him.
"Go ahead and dig in, William. There's some soft drinks, which is just bubbly, flavored water, and some chips for today." He told him, remaining where he was as he gave him a smile. He shifted a little to sit up once more, taking his shoes off with his feet before he scooted back and crossed his legs as he positioned himself to face William. "So, how about this... The next time you want to go explore out in the city you come tell me, hm? We can go explore all the things together, and we can see about getting you a phone so we can keep in contact with each other if we're separated." He told him, giving him a smile before he reached a hand out towards the blond's head before he halted and withdrew his hand once more. No, he couldn't touch him without anything being between them but by gods he was just too cute! He just wanted to ruffle his hair and see that adorable blush on the blond's face.
He gave him a small smile before he turned his attention to the bag of chips before he decided to go and steal a chip from an opened bag, biting the salty treat and munching on that. He let his eyes stay trained on William for a few minutes, just quietly watching him before he licked a finger that had been gripping the chip he had previously eaten. "Want me to stay for a while? I'm not busy with anything so I can put all my attention to you, hm?" He spoke up, grabbing another chip before he leaned forward and place that lightly against the boy's lips, being careful to not let his own fingers touch him. He gave William a playful, or rather flirtatious, wink and pulled back once he had maybe taken the chip from him or at least bitten part of it so he could eat the rest of it.
"How about we watch some television together? You can tell me all about your adventure away from home while we do so, yeah? I want to know everything you did and enjoyed doing, maybe we can go out together and do the things you liked again." He added after about a minute, grinning as he moved to get off of the bed so he could grab one of the blankets so he could lay it against himself when he sat back down, or something he wasn't sure what he wanted to do yet.
"Cute." William repeated as he stood there with his back turned to the scout. Rifling through his drawers as he spoke. "I've never heard the humans refer to us fae by that name." He said with a soft chuckle. "I like it.. cute." He repeated once more. Not at liberty to ask further, after all Takumi likely knew what he was talking about. Glancing back down at his dresser he finally managing to pull a few clothes out in the process of chatting.
He began to grab at the towel around his waist, prepared to fully disrobe. Before his thoughts began to turn to the man across the room once more. 'I-is he just going to stay there? I mean he's a guy too..' He began thinking. Yet for some reason he couldn't bring himself to fully pull the towel away. As he felt a slight tightness in his chest before he did so. 'M-maybe I should just-' "Excuse me." William suddenly blurted out, slightly red in the face. He quickly snatched up his things after and ducked back into the bathroom. Taking only a few minutes to calm the butterflies in his stomach and dress himself.
As soon as he stepped out of the back room he noticed Takumi had made himself at home. Spreading out the snacks on the bed and inviting the young man to have a seat. Excitedly William hurried across the room, tossing himself on to the bed and almost sending the snacks flying in the process. "Oh yes! I have had these." He exclaimed, tearing open a bag of chips and greedily snatching a handful. As he began to stuff his face he heard Takumi giving him a rather kind scolding for not having tried to get in contact with him sooner. He paused for a moment, using his sleeve to wipe away the crumbs. "You would really take me into the city?" He said looking up at the man with puppy dog eyes. Surprised that even after the trouble he had caused Takumi was still willing to trust him outside.
"That would be nice..." He said shyly, his gaze quickly darting away from the man as the feeling in his gut returned. Not noticing the fact that the blue haired man had almost touched him just moments after. Yet Takumi's next move did catch his attention. As the males hand was suddenly in front of him, stealing a chip from his bag. Williams face scrunched up slightly at the sight, his gaze following the movement as Takumi proceeded to eat the thing. A slight huff escaped the teen as he watched, his eyes narrowing with a slight grumpiness. But he couldn't stay upset for long. The next words out of the scouts mouth causing William to perk up in an instant. "Really? That would be wonderful!" He said, not even caring as Takumi stole another chip.
He did care however. That Takumi had raised it to his lips. 'Too close! Too close!' William thought as his head backed away slightly. His eyes were fixated on the hand drifting just inches away from his face. Unsure of the strange action. 'D-does he want me to?' Gingerly he began to lean forward, lips parting only slightly as he closed in on the chip. Being very careful not to get any closer than he had to. He was still unsure of a lot of things in the human world. Sure he had experienced some when he was a child. But flirting was definitely not one. Yet that couldn't stop the emotions from carrying over anyways. And as the chip snapped in half William locked eyes with the man for just a moment, catching his wink.
~Thump~
It felt so loud. William sat there absolutely stunned. The sound of his heartbeat ringing in his ears for a moment. The chip hanging loosely on his lips. He didn't even notice as the man continued talking. Got up, and even returned. His mind perplexed with a rather strange feeling. Yet after a few moments he finally came to his senses. Quickly eating the rest of the chip and shaking his head slightly to clear his thoughts. "My what?" He said, still a little dazed."O-oh my trip! Yes!" He said, quite relieved the man had given him something else to think about. "It was… interesting. I didn't know people had so many buildings you can't even go into."
Takumi turned his head to look towards William as he spoke, smiling as he shifted a bit to get more comfortable. "Yeah, you can't go in every single building you come across. Some are owned by people who don't want guests that they did not invite. Others you have to look a certain way or be a part of their...group I guess in order to go in. Others you actually need some money to go into as well." He explained to him, shifting a little to grab his own phone out of his pocket to look up a movie theater to show him. Once he had one pulled up he turned his phone so he could look at the screen. "Here, this building is a movie theater. You've got to pay to go inside so you can watch a movie, but you've also got to pay for any snacks or drinks in there as well." He told him, letting him take his phone as he set the heavy blanket on the bed beside him for the time being.
"How about we go out for a little nice outing together, hm? I can take you by some of the buildings where you have to pay to go in." He suggested to him, moving some of the unopened treats off to the side a bit before he grabbed the blanket and laid it over himself a bit on his front all the way to his neck for the most part. "Hey, why don't you come sit over here with me while we watch something? Just lean on the blanket so it's between us." He spoke up, carefully gesturing for him to come over. Honestly he just wanted to give the blond some comfort of being with someone he knew once again.
After taking a few deep breaths William had finally felt like his mind was clear. No longer distracted by the odd mannerisms of the other male. It wasn't as if he hated it the way the man treated him. As a matter of fact he actually enjoyed it quite a lot. The part that bothered him was why. Why did he enjoy it when the man spoke to him so coyly. Why did he enjoy the small covered grasps. It was as if he actually... Wanted, Takumi to touch him. Yet he knew how irresponsible such a thing would be. Let alone dangerous. He simply laughed off the thought. Instead turning his attention back to the conversation at hand. "But I wasn't going to do anything. It hardly seems fair to keep me out for that reason." He said with a faint huff. Still having trouble grasping the way human society seemed to work.
He shifted himself slightly as he noticed Takumi fishing for something in his pockets. Curiously watching as the male started flipping through screens. "Mo-vies." William repeated after the man. Practically a parrot to his words at this point. Though his head did tilt slightly as he took the phone, scanning through the pictures. Unsure of what all of the colorful posters and marquees signified. Though he did find the place rather interesting looking. If he had to pay to enter, then it must be something special. Not to mention the fact Takumi had seemed interested in it himself. "Yes! You can show me all sorts of things. Maybe we could even go to this, movie together?" He said, still quite distracted with the man's phone.
Yet Takumi's next words drew his gaze back up from the device. Noticing the way Takumi had seemingly covered himself. 'He can't be serious. I mean, that's a horrible idea. What if-' "Ok.." The noise seemed almost mouselike as it came from Williams mouth. The young man's body moving forward, much to his own dismay. 'I mean… if I'm careful, I can just…' His every movement seemed delicate as the young man turned himself. Leaning into the other male. He could practically feel the heat radiating off Takumi's chest as the two finally pressed together, only a thin fabric separating them.
~Thump~
There it was again. His heart nearly leaping out of his chest. Just because he had gotten close to the man? He had to admit it did feel comfortable being in his embrace, safe even. And with each moment he began to feel more flustered, his cheeks turning a rosy hue. "T-Takumi?" He said, squirming a little in the man's lap. Considering for a moment if he should bring up the almost nauseating feeling. Yet he was too embarrassed, and turned to the only other thing he could think of to say instead. "Uhm.. what did you want to watch?"
Takumi waited patiently for William to come over to him, upon his own decision of course, and released a soft breath as the blond squirmed a bit in his lap. "Yeah, William?" He responded to the blond for saying his name, smiling a little at his question on what to watch. Ah, he was adorable. So very adorable. It truly did take all his willpower to not playfully pinch the teen's rosy cheeks. "I'm not sure entirely, why don't we look through stuff and see what catches our eyes, hm?" He suggested, leaning over to grab the remote so he could turn on the tv.
He flipped through the channels until he came across a movie one playing something he hoped the blond would enjoy. He set the remote down and shifted the blanket to have it wrap around William a little so he could wrap his arms around his middle a little and his chin on his shoulder for the time being. He was careful and mindful about keeping the blanket between them, but he'd also move away if the blond wanted him to do so. Takumi remained like that for about fifteen minutes before he shifted a little to take his chin off of William's shoulder, straightening his back a little to stretch until he felt a small crack from doing so.
"Hey, William? Whenever we go out to explore the city together you have to promise me something, okay?" He spoke up, shifting a little so he could try to see William's face from where they were positioned. "You cannot leave my side at any point. You cannot wander off without me or go with someone without me. I know this may seem extreme but..." He trailed off, subtly clenching his teeth together briefly. He broke out into a smile and squeezed his arms around William a bit and rocked him side to side a little. "I can't share you with anyone! Call me selfish, hm? You're just too much of a cutie for me to share!" He piped up, winking at him. Of course, deep down he didn't want to lose him again. He didn't want anyone who didn't know any better in danger and he couldn't risk misplacing the boy again. He'd truly suck if he somehow managed to lose him a second time.
"How about we find some nice gloves for you to wear so we can hold hands when we're out? That way we can really do things together!" Gloves would be good, but he'd have to see about finding thick enough ones for the boy so he'd be safe at least. Along with anyone else if their hands touched or if William touched someone by accident. At least if he could find some thicker gloves for their upcoming outing it would be appropriate enough due to the weather.
As Takumi began to flip through the channels William found himself becoming increasingly comfortable. Sure in the past he had been fine being around the scout. But after having been lost for months there was just something about the man. Something comforting in the sight of a familiar face. A few more clicks and Takumi had finally landed on a piece of programming he thought they would both enjoy. A fantasy type narrative. Though the man likely knew William was interested by the slight jump he made at the sight of one of the grand castles. A few moments in the show and the two had begun to relax. Takumi perhaps more so than William. As the man suddenly wrapped his arms around the blondes waist. At the feeling he let out a small gasp. His face turning red as he felt the man's chin on his shoulder. It took nearly all of his willpower to ignore the feeling of the man pressed up against him. As any sort of physical contact was rare at best. He could feel one side of his brain suddenly screaming at him. Telling how risky this was, how quickly things could go wrong. Yet the other side wanted him to stay. He felt lucky to be staring forward at the television. As the expression on his face likely would have sent the scout into a fit of laughter.
He kept his eyes glued forward at the screen. Doing his best to follow the story the two had wandered into. Yet it didn't take long for something to break his immersion. As a small winged creature suddenly appeared on screen. A slight pout crossed his lips as he stared at the small thing fluttering about. "They do know we don't look like that right?" He said, pointing at the screen. "Well... Not all of us." He said with a pout, crossing his arms over his chest. Not a moment later and the blond was pointing out another insignificant, and obscure detail that mattered little to anyone besides himself. And each time he could feel the slight rise of Takumi's chest as the man chuckled at him.
He wasn't given too much longer to be frustrated. As Takumi leaned back, almost causing William to fall into his lap in the process. He managed to catch himself though, just in time to hear the scout call out to him. His own muscles felt stiff as he turned his body to face the man. His brow raised as suddenly Takumi seemed very serious. The whole mood seemed to shift. William listened as the man gave him an ultimatum of sorts. Setting strict rules for any sort of trip into the city. All he could do was nod and listen. Not really in any position to negotiate with the terms of the deal. When Takumi began to explain his reasoning behind the rules William found himself leaning in slightly. Hanging on the other males each word. This however, was a mistake.
As William had walked into the man's trap Hook line and sinker. He felt a soft pressure on his side, causing his eyes to go wide in surprise. Followed by Takumi tossing him side to side for a few moments. "T-Takumi s-stop!" William shouted playfully, yet with the slightest hint of fear. Once the man stopped William's face was flushed red once more. He wanted to retaliate, to perhaps shove the man. However, that kind of thing wasn't an option for the young man. So he went with casting a dirty glare instead. However the blush didn't help his case when it came to trying to be intimidating.
"Very well. I will make you that promise. We will get these 'gloves'." He said in a pouty tone. Still grumpy about the thrashing. "And then you will take me into the city so we can see the movie, and hold hands." He stated, trying to sound demanding.
Takumi did his best to hold back a laugh from the look on William's face, the corners of his lips twitching slightly as he tried to keep a straight face and nod to the boy's words. Oh, he was even more cute when he tried to seem tough. "Yup...yup of course." He managed out, soon unable to help it as he leaned back and released a laugh. He couldn't help himself, the Faekin was just...so amusing. After about a couple of minutes of laughing, Takumi lifted a hand and wiped his eyes as he had gained some tears from laughing. "Oh...oh William... Ohoho..." He chuckled, shaking his head a little as a grin was displayed across his face.
"You're too cute when you're making demands, cutie." He spoke up, squeezing an arm around him a little as he leaned forward and rested his forehead against his shoulder. The scout closed his eyes as he sighed with another chuckle, just regaining his breath back then from all that laughing. Of course, he had made sure the blanket was still covering the blond when he did that. He was careful about these things, and he wouldn't screw up on that. He listened to the movie play on in the background, having enjoyed the commentary William had made on it before he interrupted him with his little ultimatum. He'd definitely say progress had been made since he had first come into taking care of the boy, from not wanting to be touched by any means at all to this careful cuddling was progress indeed. After about a minute or two he opened his eyes and pulled his head back to look up once more. "It's a date then, cutie." He spoke in a flirty tone, a playful and mischievous look crossing his eyes.
'Success.' William thought to himself as he noticed Takumi seemingly cave to his demands. A smile forming at the corners of his mouth. Feeling rather overjoyed that he felt like he had the upper hand for once. That perhaps Takumi would take him seriously now that he had put his foot down. And- wait? He was laughing, the scout was actually laughing at him. The gentle hue of his blush became much more pronounced with his embarrassment. A full on beat red by the time the male had finally calmed down from his fit of laughter. "Bully…" William muttered quietly under his breath. Not really wanting to offend the other with his words.
It wasn't as if Takumi had meant to hurt Williams feelings. Actually far from it. Yet William had been quite serious in his demands to go out into the city with the man. He wanted to see the lights, and experience all the things the town had to offer. He wanted to see the things that Takumi found exciting. And he was damed if he was going to let it just seem like a joke.
His nose scrunched up slightly as he prepared to make his demands known once more. Yet Takumi had different plans. Instead wrapping him up in the blanket once more and embracing him. William sat there conflicted for a moment. On the one hand he wanted to shout that he was to be taken seriously. But on the other… The young blond let out a slight grumble as he wholeheartedly admitted defeat. Sinking once more into the man's grasp. However the next words out of Takumi's mouth caused the teen to lock up almost instantly. "Date?" He said with a slight quiver to his words. 'Date' He had heard that word before. Or rather, saw it to be more precise. Though he didn't have much, he did have a television. And often human programming was so drab. Yet he did recognize some of it revolved around that word. Date "B-but aren't dates for? you know…" He said. Remembering all the odd behaviors on the programs. The way people got to know each other, the closeness, the ki- OH GOD THE KISSING.
William found himself somehow more embarrassed than before. His body darting away from the other male and landing on the other end of the bed with a thump. "Takumi, I don't think we.. i mean.. kissing really?! You do know how dangerous, no stupid..." He began ranting, pulling the blanket over himself to cover the lower portion of his face.
