Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
A subtle warmth touched the pleasant spring air while a soft breeze played the role cooling. Tiny wisps of white floated lazily across skies above where seagulls squawked and swooped in their regular pesky behavior. The sun had barely risen, the horizon remaining a colourful array of purples, oranges and yellows smeared across a gradually appearing blue. It was breath-taking in beauty and commonly captured in various forms of artistic representation. Only for a moment did Persephone's steel coloured eyes lingered on the rising sun and its radiant beauty as it climbed the sky. There were various scenes where the woman has witnessed sunrise, a portion bloodier than others, but it continued to possess an oddly calming aspect. Despite the changes in scenery, there was always a familiarity that arrived with the a sunrise; it remained a constant in the consistent changes of life.
Due to the shift in temperatures as spring drifted through, closing in on summer, the young nymph wore a simple navy tank top and a pair of black shorts. They appeared tight against her body, revealing the feminine features oftentimes hidden beneath numerous layers of dark clothing. Footwear remained a basic pair of water shoes coloured a dark blue and black. They were ill-fitting for the current circumstances as the young woman continued towards the beach, but the numerous callouses that adorned her feet made them tolerable. As usual, her hair maintained a straight appearance to it, however, there was little effort into grooming the light blue hair. Despite her short stature, Persephone managed to walk at a hasty pace while she headed towards Starlight Beach where the cliff side was. Today was planned around a dangerous activity, the young nymph prepared to handle it.
There were stories about rookie divers attempting to dive off the top of the cliff, resulting in severe injury and death in some instances. It resulted in a peculiar fascination with the location considering the assassin wanted to experience the intense dive for herself, although, under different conditions. Plans had been formulated to create a training exercise from the procedure which was designed to train her flinching instincts. The inquiry was plain, how long would she fall before using her manipulation as a defense? Ignoring instincts were a necessity at times in order to complete a mission when the assassin was desperate. Years of strenuous training sessions resulted in these occasions being rare, however, still existent. There was a momentary pause while Persephone drew close, gazing at the rough, dirt path that led up towards the cliff. A deep, calming breath was taken before the young woman began walking up the cliff.
The path itself had been walked numerous times by tourists with the intention of visiting the lighthouse that remained perched on top. This resulted in a smooth, easy voyage to the pinnacle of the cliff. As Persephone reached the top, her grey eyes stared over the miles of ocean that lapped over the shores and played in the distance. The colours of the sun played across the water, moving with the waves and creating a divine view. There was a mystic sensation that the young water nymph found while she stood at the top of the cliff, the air feeling more refreshing and stronger than before. The gentle breeze whispered through the trees, embracing her with a wonderful familiarity that increased the intensity. With an extensive breath that soothed her tense body, the woman inched closer to the cliff's edge and peered down.
Rocks dotted the waters below, greeting her with their malicious intentions. Alas, Persephone remained unwavering in expression as she gradually began walking backwards. Each step was accompanied with a mental reminder for the task that would be accomplished on this faithful day. Gradually, her heart rate increased while she drew back from the cliff side and stared towards the horizon. Another deep, calming breath was taken before suddenly, the woman ran forward, towards the edge. Heart rate spiked with each step, her body and mind begging for the reckless action to be ceased before an early grave was met. Instincts were ignored, the woman carrying herself hastily, enclosing the distance between herself and the edge. When she reached end, the young water nymph jumped from the intense heights, leaving her embraced by the air. Instantly, her body began falling towards the rock infested waters below, each passing second bringing her closer.
Adrenaline met its peak, her heart beating intensely due to the fear-inducing situation Persephone entered willingly. Breaths were bated while the rocks drew closer, the woman closing her eyes and fixating on the wind around her and sensing the waters below. Inches before demise would have been met, the water was manipulated to rush towards her, giving her a chilling greeting and directing her away from the painful wounds the rocks could have provided. The manipulated water encompassed her, allowing for a sudden switch in direction to narrow avoid the rocks below her. With some insistence from her enhanced swim speed, the water nymph was brought to safer waters. The ocean was cold during the early hours, her skin pebbling while she laid on her back and faced the skies above while the waves slowly pushed her towards the shore.

[attr="class","bhstext"]The beach looked like a nice place to visit to, that's why Hector went there next for his travels around Lorsette. He had called this routine a regular one, really, wasting his money on going to different places that are actually just in the city. Still, he needed to be acquainted to the places around here. Lorsette was going to be a permanent home to him; he figured he should stay away from travelling for a while, but there were no promises to that.
[break][break]The beach was pretty occupied with lots of unfamiliar faces by the time he arrived. Hector had brought with him a small sun bag and, as usual, a little notebook he had marked with "meredith" to help ease his boredom. The sun shining in the sky and birds flying and chirping in the breeze seem to be really good sights and seeings, a scenery he would love to write on. Walking up to an empty spot in the beach and setting his sun bag, he set a towel on the sand, sat down, and began to write.
[break][break]Hector was quite the sight today. Wearing a simple soft-linen polo and green swimming shorts, he covered his hazel eyes with sunglasses to prevent others from knowing him. His hair was covered by a hat sitting upon his head. Hector had taken measures not to make others know him, especially if they knew him as "meredith"; well, except Echo, of course. His lover already knew who he was because she was the first one he had told about his identity.
[break][break]It took five minutes before he had grown bored about writing his new novel, so he decided to take a walk. Leaving his sun bag on the towel nearby, he started off towards the cliffs near the beach, enjoying the view. The sky looked really lovely today, especially under this condition with the sun up in the sky.
[break][break]But then his eyes suddenly spot someone from above the cliff, and his eyes suddenly shot wide with panic. What was this person doing?! There was no time to ask questions. He ran up near the cliffs as fast as he can. "Hey! Hey, what are you doing!?" He shouted at whoever was there, just to warn them. "Are you trying to kill yourself?! What are you doing--"
[break][break]And then they jump from the cliff, making Hector gasp and sprint into a run. Whoever that person is, they certainly threw themselves to their own death. And whoever they were, Hector wasn't just going to stop and look while they kill themselves for whatever reason--
[break][break]The waves suddenly rise and lift the body safely off from the rocks, making Hector stop and marvel. Did the ocean just... save this person? The waters push the body of a woman ashore -- the woman that must've jumped from the cliff -- safe and sound, without any injuries. Hector's eyes widen. What was that all about?
[break][break]He approaches the young woman with an uncertain look on his face. "How..." His sentence trails off, staring out to the sea with doubt. Whoever this woman is, they weren't just any mortal. He then turns back to the woman with a raised eyebrow. "...How did you do that? Did the ocean just save you from certain injury... or even... death?"

In the freezing embrace of the ocean waters, Persephone's rapidly beating heart gradually calmed from the reckless excursion for improving upon her skills. The waves occasionally washed over her, chilling her stomach and limbs with ease while her skin gradually adjusted to the water. Her darkly coloured outfit clung to her body, further revealing the feminine features that oftentimes remained hidden. The woman's small chest size to the slightness of her hips, displaying what vaguely resembled an hourglass figure. Mentally, she replayed the entire scene, remembering a voice shouting towards her that had been completely ignored. Providing acknowledgment during those dire moments could result in deadly consequences or possibly for fright to claim her mind should they provide a hefty argument to deter the intense training. Waves continued to pelt her, carrying closer to shore while she critiqued the dive.
Instincts had been ignored for an ample amount of time, allowing her to smoothly glide past danger without being grazed by the sharp points. An extensive breath escaped her lips as her grey eyes spared a glance towards the shoreline where a few onlookers had noticed the "suicidal" actions and miraculous rescue. A single figure stood out from the crowd, capturing her attention while she shifted in the water to swim back towards shore. While a few people had dispersed leaving a silver-haired individual on the pale sands that marked Starlight Beach. A front crawl was taken to carry her towards the shore, her underwater breathing allowing her to skip her opportunity to take a breath. Her speed was incredible, Persephone holding back in order not to fling herself onto a shoreline. Once the distance was closed, the nymph found her footing, her shoes somewhat protecting her from the rocky portion of the shoreline.
Water rolled down her skin, dribbling from the tendrils hair that had gotten tousled from the actions taken. The sounds of footsteps on sand alerted Persephone, her cold, grey eyes flitted towards the man as trudged out of the water and onto the sandy shore. The assassin's naturally observant eyes quickly noticed the uncertainty that held the man's expression, making the possible unfamiliarity with supernatural creatures more obvious; there were the sheltered folk or people who had never witnessed a specific ability. A silence was held, Persephone listened to the questions while one of her slender hands reached up to push away her light blue bangs. The hand's partner joined, bringing the locks of hair back to ring out a portion of the water. Afterwards, Persephone gave her head a shake which sprayed small droplets of water that were still clinging to her soaked hair and partially answering 'no' to the concept of the ocean saving her life.
"There was no danger," she stated simply. "I was prepared to take the consequences of my actions for this training."
The explanation remained vague, little emotion touching the woman's voice as she explained the situation to the man. For a moment, her eyes drifted over his form, noticing a skinny body and youthful face construct. It was plausible this stranger was a young teen, which brought the possibility of unfamiliarity with her species. In order to demonstrate her capabilities, the nymph manipulated the water from the ocean, causing it to flow into a small ball that hovered above her hand.
"The water merely heeded my commands as I planned," she explained further.
While Persephone remained a private person, she felt there was no reason to ignore the questions of the curious onlooker. They remained innocent inquires that lacked any threat. As long as the primary secret of her occupation continued being hidden and the stayed away from being personal, providing answers was safe. For a few moments, the nymph's eyes remained locked onto the water sphere before carefully moving into a spin and bringing the water out into a long snake to further demonstrate the concept. As twirls continued, the water parted, growing into small droplets before Persephone shot it towards the sky which resulted in a light misting over their heads.

[attr="class","bhstext"]It was amazing to think that this woman considered her jump from the cliff 'training'... but for some reason, Hector believed her. It wasn't everyday he would see cadets or swimmers in his travels in Italy, that they would jump off from cliffs and be saved by other people below them. They were risky moves. But if this woman was 'training', then Hector guessed she was part of a military group of supernatural beings, or something along those lines.
[break][break]He was interested in this woman.
[break][break]Hector was about to ask a question when suddenly, a piece -- or line, whatever, just a bit of water -- came out from the ocean, twirling as the woman's hands instructed so. His eyes watched in amazement, but his expression is still nonchalant. No, this woman is not a mortal. No human could summon water and twirl it around just like that, unless they were a witch or warlock -- but witches would still need tomes, too.
[break][break]She shot the ball of water towards the sky, and it parted into small bits of water that made it look like mists. A small smile curved on his face as he watched the rain-like perception she had created. Turning to the woman, he tilted his head with a wider smile on his face. "You are not a mortal. I can see that now." He stated, raising an eyebrow. "If not, what are you? You seem like either an angel or demon... or nephilim... or neither of these things and something else."
[break][break]Other creatures always interested him. Just like Echo, who was a demon. It was only right for him to be interested in others, too.

Ambiguity kept a constant shifting in beliefs, allowing for Percy to remain hidden amidst an endless supply of ideas. A masquerade created by vaguely stated answers and providing more innocent context around what was previous stated in the form of half truths. Although, it brought concerns over this curious man who she gained the attention of a result of a skillful plunge towards the depths. It suggested the possibility of endless questions to pry into her hidden life, but the agitation was not evident on the nymph's face. After years of travelling, meeting those with curious eyes had become a natural occurrence, although, she still disapproved. She supposed it was granted considering she had indulged the man with wondrous visuals by displaying a portion of her capabilities. It was originally meant to be a demonstration to limit his inquires, but Percy believed she merely fueled them.
The observational statement of her not being a merely mortal was made, the nymph providing a small, wordless nod of confirmation. The young man hastily began questioning her species, the mentioning of demons causing her to glare towards him. Over the years, Percy had gained a brutal hatred of anything in affiliation to the wretched dimension of Hell. They had taken her father away from her, they were evil creatures from the depths and they ruined lives, leaving a trail of tears and destruction in their wake. There was subtle hints of anger behind her grey eyes, Percy fighting the urge to shut down any possibility of her being a hell species. Displaying her hatred of them openly and viciously could cause suspicion towards any recent assassinations; her specialty was eliminating them after all.
"I am none of those creatures," she began, a mild tone of bitterness in her initial words. Gradually, her voice was cleared of those emotions. "I am a nymph."
The coldness in her voice remained while she spoke, keeping the amount of words low. Remaining vague was always an instinct nowadays considering Percy rarely enjoyed revealing information about herself. Information would be a risk of a different breed after all.

[break][break]For as he had finished pointing out the creatures that she might be one of, she glared at him, making him shiver. He asked quietly, almost whimpering.
[break][break]Lesson one: do not trifle with women.
[break][break]Then she spoke and told him she wasn't one of those creatures, and then telling him that she was a nymph. The shifter's eyes widen. "A nymph... that explains it!" He exclaimed, then scratched his cheek and chuckled nervously again. "Then you must be a nymph of water. How dumb of me to not have discovered soon...!" He slapped his face at this statement.
[break][break]Hector then raised an eyebrow at her with a smirk. "Just for reference though, I haven't quite gotten your name yet." He tilted his head. "In case we meet again sometime... what is your name?"

There was an unintentional side effect that was created as a result of Persephone's intense hatred of hell species. Anger had mingled into the words, obviously generating nervous feelings for the male, although, her own abrasiveness made her numb to guilt. Hints of annoyance were sprinkled across Persephone's face, which were most evident in the slightest tilt of her slender brows. Her companion had managed to offend her by merely stating the possibility of her being a demon, but the woman found herself unable to show sympathy; harsh demeanor conquered human compassion. As time progressed, the irritation fled from her face, returning to the emotionless state it frequently held. A whimper escaped the stranger's mouth, the question vaguely implying that he was aware of the sudden shift towards anger.
"Yes," she stated bluntly. "I find presumptions towards me being a different species irritating, you could say."
Coldness entered her tone, accompanied by nearly inaudible hints of irritation. Waves gently lapped around the water nymph's ankles as she remained still, her eyes continuing to lock onto the stranger. It soothed her, causing the young woman to relax while she waited for the man to, presumably, recommence further question. He continued, easily figuring out the type of nymph she was; Persephone nodded in acknowledgement towards the correct answer. Arms were crossed, the water nymph's hazel eyes slowly retreating back towards the cliff where she had dived from. When time was allotted, she would have to attempt another dive to train her instincts. When her eyes flitted back towards the silver-haired man, they caught the smirk across his lips as he inquired for a name.
"Persephone, she began. "However, most call me Percy, and you, sir?"
There was mild tones of primness to her voice, displaying a subtle professionalism when it arrive to providing a name and requesting reciprocation. Small talk appeared to be the common theme of the conversation considering it progressed with simple questions, although, perhaps slightly one sided. In anticipation for further conversing, Persephone straightened her back and shifted her arms to her sides in hopes of displaying a strict formality.

[attr="class","jawntattxtdiv"] It was still clear in the young woman's face that she was annoyed with what he had said. Perhaps some of the words he had said wasn't to her liking. However, he had already said sorry and she had finally revealed to him that she was a water nymph, so this matter should be lifted a little bit right now.[break][break]
"I find presumptions towards me being a different species irritating, you could say." She stated, and for a moment he could actually agree with her on that one. He could understand the predicament of being mistaken for another creature. Well, it would just bother him, not much irritate him, but if the joke of him not being a shifter will be pushed too far, he might actually get to kill a person for it.[break][break]
He nodded at this statement and smiled. "Ah, yes. I could understand the feeling." He stated, twirling a finger around his head. "It could be quite irritating to for other people to mistake me for another species, but if they didn't know and said it by accident, it could be considered."[break][break]
Then the irritated look on her face dissipated into the nonchalant expression earlier, making Hector mentally sigh in relief. They then switched to the topic about their names, hers introduced as Persephone. "That's quite a lovely name." He commented, a small smile on his face. "Call me Hector." There shouldn't be any harm on telling this woman his real name, right? Especially considering that Lorsette was going to be his permanent home.[break][break]
This woman seemed to be one who can keep a secret, too.[break][break]
The initial comments that this man had made had fueled the irritation, which festered from an extensive hatred of any species of hell. A majority of her personal plights featured the malicious creatures raining doom upon herself or loved ones; a majority of which died as a result of those species. It generated a bitterness towards them, making it immensely difficult for the nymph to cease loathing them, although, she still begrudgingly worked for a hellhound. Fortunately, as time proceeded, the woman began relaxing due to the stranger quickly ceasing the presumptions of her being a species from hell. The understanding placed into the concept furthered the calming, although, a cold disposition remained on Persephone's face; she was never one for revealing emotions.
"Accident or not, I dislike the presumption," she responded.
The words were carefully considered, the assassin attempting to mask her hatred as merely a dislike of species presumption. It appeared to be working excellently since the acquaintance seemed to be believing her story. Half-truths tended to work for masking the possibility of a lie. The mentioning of her name being lovely resulted in Persephone lifting a brow. There was only a small group of people who believed her name to be beautiful, most being restricted to family which kept the experience unique whenever it occurred. When the man provided his name, the nymph responded with a nod of acknowledgement. When the man, who introduced himself as Hector, continues, she listened. Casual conversations always possessed an odd air to them, especially since a majority of people who met her either attacked and stared in terror; then again those were during missions.
"A pleasure to meet you as well," she said professionally.
The tone of her voice sounded lacking in genuine emotions, her coldness draining warmth from her words. It resulted in the sentence maintaining a stiff formal tone which was unintentional; she had meant to convey vague kindness.

[attr="class","jawntattxtdiv"] Hector nodded as the woman returned the likeness for meeting him. There must be a good reason why she hated Hell species. Yes, of course, Hell has its fair share of very annoying (and sometimes very violent) ones, but considering his meeting with Echo, who was a demon herself, he supposed that some -- or a little -- of them are kind enough. However, Hector wasn't one to ask about a person's past and why they hated a certain species. He respects their privacy.[break][break]
The man shrugged and looked over to the cliff, where some people were starting to take some pictures or selfies. He almost shivered at the sight. Surely some people would consider that place very dangerous, especially since the near-not-death incident with Persephone. However, he knew that a few of the people here cared about their safety; as long as there is a wonderful view, and as long as they could take a selfie, that's it. People wouldn't want their vacation to be ruined just because of some guy warning them about dangerous terrain.[break][break]
He turned to Persephone and smiled softly. "Are you hungry? I could buy you a favorite treat if you like." He offered, then turned to the stalls standing by the beach sidelines. "There's lots of food over there. It's only right for me who disrupted your private space to treat you to a snack."[break][break]
What Hector was doing is, in no way, flirting with her. He has adapted this culture of randomly treating others as payment from the different countries he has traveled to, who had this same culture as a sign of friendship. He just hoped that Persephone would get that.[break][break]
And luckily he brought with him a few dollars he had broken from his piggy bank.
Understanding the kindness of this mysterious man was beyond Persephone, especially since she had grown use to the cruelness of the world. Her personal experiences caused her to immediately label Hector as too kind for his own good despite her information being limited. While he remained unbeknownst to her criminal ties, it did not change the immense kindness that he was displaying towards a stranger. There was a moment of thought for the nymph as she wondered if perhaps he pitied her or thought she was suicidal. The intense training regiment that the assassin participated was bound to display an air of recklessness in her decisions. Complaining about his company remained difficult with the ceasing of the questions, allowing the young woman to maintain privacy which was easily appreciated.
Another glance was given towards the cliff, the female criminal noticing the group of people taking selfies near the cliff edge. The area around the cliff was being crowded as time drifted by, making the location an undesirable training ground until the numerous individuals cleared out. There were mental notes taken by Persephone, reminding herself to perhaps pick an earlier or later time to train her instincts. When Hector made her an offer, the nymph's eyes glanced towards him with a curious glimmer as she lifted a brow. This sudden kindness was unfamiliar to Persephone, especially after snapping at another individual. While she remained hesitant to accept his invitation for being bought food, the woman decided to at least indulge him with attention until he grew bored.
"No thank-you," she responded politely. "You may buy what you like, but I already ate plenty this morning."
There were mildly flirtatious tones to being offered food from a stranger, although, Persephone was not completely aware of his intentions. There was a need to defend herself from possible intimate advances though, especially since she never found the male gender to be attractive. Naturally, there was a chance Hector was merely being polite, thus, she maintained a politeness in case the man's intentions were truly innocent. Giving him the benefit of the doubt was the least she could do considering the unwarranted kindness he was providing.

[attr="class","jawntattxtdiv"] Hector was getting hungry standing around here, and not even a woman denying his offer wasn't going to stop him off his tracks. After Percy had declined his offer, he simply shrugged and smirked. "Fine. Suit yourself." He then made his way towards the stalls with his hands on his short pockets. "I'll be back in a minute."
[break][break]There were lots of delicious treats in the different stalls that were set up, but Hector had always fancied himself a nice little plate of takoyaki and siomai. So that's what he decided to buy. Purchasing one plate of takoyaki and another plate for the siomai, he turned back towards where Percy was and happily munched on the takoyaki first. The food only managed to survive the wrath of Hector's animalistic mouth before he turned to the siomai next.
[break][break]"Hey, it's good stuff!" He said happily after he was a few more meters away from the woman. He held out the plate with two last pieces of siomai on it. "You want some?"
[break][break]But then suddenly, it happened. Screams of horror suddenly erupted from everywhere, followed by a splash that came from the distance. He turned to the cliff he was watching from earlier and saw a lot of people struggling to get off of the cliff, their faces painted with pure shock and fear. Some of them were still screaming at the top of their lungs. He then looked over at the sea where the cliff was towering over on.
[break][break]Seems like there was a murder that happened.
[break][break]He knew there was trouble brewing over there, that's why people shouldn't have come. But Hector also recognized that said cliff. "Wasn't that the cliff that you jumped off from?" He asked, pointing to the cliff and turning to Percy with a raised eyebrow. "I wonder what might've happened. Let's check it out."
[break][break]To be honest, though, checking the situation out might actually be a really bad idea.
[break][break]But he was curious that way, so why not.
Silently, Persephone watched as the man walked towards the various small stalls that lined the border of Starlight Beach. There was bound to be an assortment of delightful scents and delicious foods, but the nymph remained where she was. Declining offers of food was an instinctive response because of her illicit occupation. After witnessing horrible deaths at the hands of poison, Persephone found herself hesitant to take food from strangers. While her travels had been filled with restaurants and various eateries, there was always a definitive need to analyze the meal before consumption. Meanwhile, moments, where strangers offered to get her food, were completely refused because of the possible lurking of an enemy; it was a precaution the short girl fulfilled constantly. For a few more moments, Persephone's eyes lingered in the direction of the stalls before turning back towards the beach.
The waves rhythmically pelted the shoreline, flattening the sand and bringing an odd sensation of tranquillity. The assassin's eyes glanced around while she took a step closer to the waves, feeling them lap over her feet. Despite the water shoes, she could feel the marvellous cooling powers of the ocean as the water seeped through. The woman's gaze remained fixated on the horizon as she listened to the ocean, attempting to ignore the voices around her. When the man returned, Persephone managed to notice the faint sounds of footfalls in the sand. There was a second offering of food, the assassin lifting her brow towards the persistence; perhaps more malicious intentions?
"No thank-you," she declined politely.
A shrill scream entered the air, immediately earning Persephone's attention as her gaze turned towards the cliffs. The faint sounds of splashing alongside the cacophony of screams made the assassin's gaze linger. Memories poured into her the mind of her numerous missions, all successfully accomplished, but sometimes ending in screams. Based on the noises, the nymph presumed a murdering or, possibly, somebody slipped off the cliff side. A nod remained Persephone's answer towards Hector's question, although, notes of surprise touched her face over the concept of surveying the situation. There was only a moment of hesitation before Persephone followed; this could be excellent information for Phoenix. She followed hastily, the excellent physical condition of her body allowing for her to run speedily after Hector.

[attr="class","jawntattxtdiv"] He turned his head over to Persephone, and was pleased to see that she actually followed him towards the scene. Quite the athletic and speedy one, since a while ago she was a few distances away from him, yet now here they were, inches away from each other. Running must've been part of the "training" she had mentioned earlier, whatever that meant.
[break][break]Hector almost dreaded his decision upon seeing the length and height of the cliff where crowds of people were running about. But still determined, he looked back at Percy with a nod before starting the climb. Occasionally a few people would bump into them and trip themselves over, but they would continue running anyway.
[break][break]One woman had accidentally tripped on Hector's feet in a hurry, making him flinch and turn with a glare. Now's not the time to hate on others just because they tripped on him, however. He continued climbing up, no matter how many people shoved him out of the way.
[break][break]He then remembered Persephone and stopped, turning back to her with a woried glance. "Percy!" He called out, practically shouting as the noise of the crowd was making it impossible to hear or speak. "Percy, are you holding up?"
The intense amount of training accomplished from her occupation allowed for Persephone to catch up to Hector. While she preferred not being involved, the hellspawn (Phoenix), needed his information to provide jobs and allow her payment. They headed towards the cliffside, various other curious individuals joining the fray and making the run a mass of people. Elbows poked at her, the assassin gracefully dodging any damaging hits with a few fluent sidesteps or slight ducks and weaving. She continued forward, enjoying the "competition" of reaching the cliff's top before the other runners. The woman continued moving through, her superior training allowing her to flow through the crowd with little incident. Although, as a threshold was crossed and the path thinned, Persephone found herself being excluded from the primary group. The woman flinched, her gaze diverting when she heard her nickname enter the air.
Hastily, the nymph glanced around and noticed her faithful ally, water. For a moment, her eyes lingered on the moving waves while the gears within her head turned and generated a plan. She jumped, waving her hands to get Hector's attention; it was his idea to journey up the cliff after all. The short woman could already imagine her short stature making her difficult to see.
"Over here! Come to me!" She attempted to shout over the crowd's voices.
There was no double checking to make certain that Hector had noticed as the water nymph began focusing. Her eyes fixating on the water, one of her slender hand reaching out and beckoning forth a long tendril of water that carefully touched the cliff edge. The short woman's hands splayed, hovering above the water and lowering the surface temperature to create a thick, icy base. Slowly, she stepped onto the water spout, using her powers of water manipulation to balance herself on top of the platform as she waited for Hector. Taking the main path would take forever, but creating a water expressway could bring them there within moments and even place them at the front of the crowd.
[ Yes! All the chaos that these two have to find a way through! ]
