Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.

sure fletcher was strong, but jean really wasn't trying too hard to escape from his grasp. he wanted to see where this ended up. well, it ended up with jean on top. he figured he'd challenge fletcher just a little."was this your plan all along?"jean teased him with a grin.
the grin hadn't left his face, especially not after hearing what fletcher had said."so you're saying i have the advantage now. very interesting."he chuckled softly."don't worry, i won't do anything. i'll be good."he said as he hovered a few inches away from his face. he would be good, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to tease.
he chuckled as he moved his free hand to adjust the sunglasses if he would let him."keep them. they definitely look better on you."he told him as his hands found fletcher's."are you ready for dinner date yet? i wasn't joking when i said i could eat."the only meal jean had actually had had been breakfast. he pushed at fletcher's hands to release him. he wasn't sure how much longer fletcher intended jean to be on top.
"Shut up." Fletcher countered when Jean teased him. It hadn't been his goal but he wasn't about to complain about it. "I never said that." He answered, blushing slightly at the idea of Jean getting ideas. "You better." He added, unable to move as Jean hovered a few inches away from his face. To his surprise, Jean adjusted the sunglasses instead of taking them back. "Oh?" He asked in return, debating on if Jean was claiming he could leave without his sunglasses or not. Might have to rethink my grip if he thinks he can just up and leave. He thought to himself, once more wrapping his arms around him. He melted when he felt Jean's on his. "I've been waiting on you." He answered back, teasing playfully since Jean could have headed that direction when ever he wanted, all he said was he wasn't letting go.... He felt Jean's hand putting pressure against his but refused to let go. "I mean I could let go, but buying me dinner will be difficult unless I come along." He answered, teasing once more, somewhat hinting at being carried because why the hell not.
jean chuckled at his words. it didn't matter if he had said that or not, jean was going to continue to tease him. as much fun as he had been having, he wished they would of spent their time on a softer surface."you've never been this clingy before."jean teased him once more. as much as he wanted to continue to pin fletcher down, he really was starting to get hungry.
he playfully rolled his eyes."of course you were. you just wanted us to end up in this position. don't think i haven't caught on to your plan."he said with a grin."making me do all the work. just like old times."jean said with a wink. he didn't think this would be easy. regaining fletcher's trust. though it did help that they did have some history. they seemed to have picked up where they had left off. as if jean hadn't hurt the boy. except jean was going to try his hardest to do just that. not hurt him.
jean had positioned himself so he was in a seated position. in hopes that if he had to break from fletcher's grip this way it wouldn't be too difficult. he could simply stand up with hopefully not too much resistance."who said i would be having dinner alone? of course you are coming along. even if i have to drag you."jean said with a grin. knowing that dragging wouldn't be involved, considering how fletcher had a hold of him."now be a good boy and let me stand up. i'll give you a reward if you do. well, besides buying you dinner. anything you want."jean added with a wink.
Fletcher watched as Jean adjusted his position so that he was sitting, though he knew it wouldn't take much effort to shove him off, he didn't see a rush in letting go. "Promise?" He countered, somewhat interested in seeing Jean drag him. More encouragement as a hint to carry him because he was in that mood. Between the two of them, Jean was always the one that likely would be doing the carrying, not that he was ashamed of that fact or anything because he wasn't, just that, he was submissive and not dominant. "Anything I want...." He seemed to ponder it, letting go on Jean in the process.
Hmmm.... should I tell him or make him guess? I think letting him guess would be much more fun. I'm in no rush to get this reward, of course if he figures it out, I'll have to tell him that he did it already. He thought to himself as he remained on the ground. "Now to provide your promise." He answered, expecting Jean to possibly try and take it back. Now one of two things would happen, either he'd have assistance joining Jean for dinner or the promise would be broken and he'd be left here. It was a curious thought, Jean being serious about dragging him, though how else was he supposed he wanted to be carried without flat out saying it?
jean stared at him for a couple seconds before a smirk appeared on his lips."promise? to what stay or to drag you along? either way i promise."it seemed like after a few seconds fletcher had finally loosened his grip on jean.
he almost hadn't noticed as fletcher had repeated his words. jean was not above bribing someone in order to get his way."yes, well within reason."jean added with a shake of his head as he finally lifted himself off of fletcher and moved to stand by his side. he stretched his arms before leaning towards fletcher and offering him a hand up."come on or i'll start dragging you by your feet."jean said with a grin.
Fletcher remained on the ground, clearly amused at Jean's question as well as his promise. He had released his grip on him but remained on the ground. "Since when do you request within reason?" He asked in return, clearly amused that Jean gave him a reason to ask such a question, as if Jean had allowed exceptions in the passed. Jean had offered his hand to him and he sighed as he stared up at it. "Bummer and here I thought there was an option three." He teased playfully before taking Jean's hand, half tempted to pull him back down on top of him, choosing to be good and have assistance standing up. "Oh shit, now I can't be dragged." He teases, half tempted to sit back down for the sake of getting dragged, well that is of course unless Jean were to take some other form of action. "If I recall, you were a hugger.... So dragging won't really benefit you." He mumbles, pondering it.
jean looked at fletcher and shook his head. clearly he was dealing with a child. was he really going to drag fletcher? probably not. as much as jean loved being in the spotlight even that was a little risky. last thing he needed was to be accused of abducting the blonde. he shrugged slightly before laughing at his question."what should i ask you to do something unreasonable?"
shaking his head once more he asked."what's option three?"fletcher was being nice and when he reached for jean's hand, he pulled him up. he rolled his eyes at fletcher's statement."we both know you don't want to be dragged."
he hadn't let go of fletcher's hand as he started to walk. he laughed and shook his head as he heard fletcher's words."i hugged you one time. you were the one that didn't want to let me go."he told him with a grin."don't worry i won't let go."he turned to face him."instead of trying to hug me from behind just get on. i'll carry you on my back. don't pretend it's not what you wanted this whole time. unless you want me to pick you up and carry you like a princess."jean teased.
Fletcher shrugged his shoulders to Jean's question. "I don't know, should you?" He countered in return, clearly amused. He then gave Jean options, smiling when asked what option three would be. "Only one way to find out." He answered in return before adding, "Who knows." He countered, having been dragged before but it wasn't a long distance and it was in a playful manner to begin with. Jean had started to walk and since they held hands he followed him. "Not just one time...." He answered in return, "I recall plenty back in the day and don't get me started how you were the one refusing to let go the other day." He countered before shrugging again.
"Serves you right, somebody should hug and refuse to let go." He wouldn't deny hugging Jean and refusing to let go, partly because he believed it had made Jean uncomfortable and that in turn pleased him. Jean promised that he wouldn't let go before turning to face him. "Get on?" He asked in surprise, having thought bridle style would work better. Of course this would work too. "Well I'll be damned, you guessed it." He teased back before blushing slightly. "As if you would carry me bridle style." He answered in return, honestly thinking Jean wouldn't dare do it. Though he knew in the back of his mind, this would count as a challenge and had to ask himself why he didn't get on his back when given that chance.
jean grinned as he pretended to ponder what he could ask fletcher."it's highly tempting, but i feel like one way or another it would backfire on me. you have a tendency to do that."he told him with a nod. this whole hug thing was perfect evidence. how long had fletcher latched himself on to him? how many times had jean promised he wasn't going to run off?
whatever the case. they were finally on the move now. jean tugging fletcher along until they were matching strides. jean chuckled as fletcher brought up past memories."i forget you're the one with the good memory."jean told him with a smirk."yes, but all i had to do was open my arms and you practically came running."he teased him with a smile.
jean sighed he had gotten him there. yet, jean had let him go and without having a meal too. then again it wasn't like they were going to get a decent meal stuck inside during the blizzard."yes, but that's because you wanted to runaway from me. that was very rude."
he shook his head."don't do that again. or once you let me go i'll really runaway."it seemed like fletcher really did want to be carried. so out of the kindness of his heart jean was going to oblige."if that's you hinting at marriage i'm going to have to pass. i'm too young to be tied down."jean said with a smirk."so no to the piggy back ride. fine suit yourself."jean said as he continued to walk."maybe if you behave i'll carry you the way you want me too when we go home."jean said with a wink.
Fletcher chuckled when Jean mentioned how it would be tempting but likely backfire on him. It wasn't wrong, he was just amused that he hadn't tried taking advantage of it by now. "You think so?" He asked in return, smirk on his lips. "I'm glad you seem to think so." He wasn't bothered that Jean had said that he was guilty of letting it backfire on him more than once, since it was true. Jean was tugging him along and he slowly followed beside him, still debating on being carried now or later. "Oh what ever." He answered, rolling his eyes. "I bet I could out run you now too." He answered him in return, making no effort to do so. "Such a shame.... I thought one was supposed to chase.... Hmmm..." He answered, not taking Jean seriously, perhaps it was because he didn't intend on allowing him to leave ever again.
He huffed at Jean's comment, "Marriage and carried are two different things and you know it." He answered in return, not even thinking about such things at this time. He sighed when Jean said that he'd carry him the way he wanted when at home. "Unless I change my mind again." He countered, unsure on it himself. He allowed Jean to lead the way to the restaurant, not really caring where they go as long as he was able to get something in his stomach. He didn't need to eat, he just missed the taste of food, it would be awkward to be with Jean and not eat anything, besides he didn't want him to know that he had died and no longer required food to live on.
jean shook his head slightly before laughing."why do you ask when you clearly know the answer."it was clearly evident that fletcher was enjoying this. at least he was being complacent now, letting jean drag him along. he didn't seem like he had resisted in the slightest.
he wasn't sure what or where he wanted to eat. for now they would just walk with no destination in mind. he looked at fletcher raising an eyebrow in question."so what you are saying is that you want to chase me? i'll happily oblige, but the real question is would you be able to catch me?"jean asked with a grin."do you want me to start running now?"he teased.
he chuckled."so what? i'm allowed to tease you aren't i?"jean spotted a pizza place and figured it would be good enough. he rolled his eyes at fletcher."you are constantly changing your mind. i'm certain you do it to annoy me."he said as he lead them inside. it was too nice to be stuck inside and he decided to pick a table outside. after they were settled jean looked at fletcher."don't forget this is my treat. get whatever you want."he told him with a smile.
Fletcher shrugged his shoulders instead of answering his question. "I said no such thing...." He answered, chuckling at the idea of chasing Jean. "Though in answer to your question, yes I would be able to catch you, no trouble at all." He dared as he followed him. "No... because your supposed to carry me." He answered playfully, a pout appearing on his face for show before it disappeared. "Or dragged, which ever." He answered, rolling his eyes playfully. "Sure you can, but I can counter. That is how this works." He answered, figuring he could do as he pleased. "Oh what ever." He answered, not viewing himself as changing his mind that often.
If it were true, it wouldn't be like he'd admit it anyway. Though doing it to annoy Jean sounded like a good idea. "I think I'll start that up starting now." He answered, chuckling. "Giving me motivation, I bet you regret that now." He answered, following him inside the pizza place. He followed him to a table that was outside. "Oh I haven't forgotten." He answered, taking a seat as a smug grin appeared on his face. I'm unsure on what to eat, I haven't done so in a while and I'm not ready to prove to him that I don't need to eat to survive. He took a few minutes before deciding what he would like to eat. "You getting your own meal or ordering a big pizza?"
he chuckled at fletcher's response."oh, really? we might have to put that to the test. some other time though."he really wasn't going to drop that subject huh? he would be constantly reminded till it happened. it would happen, just not as soon as fletcher wanted it to happen."i'll carry you eventually. don't worry your pretty little head."
jean rolled his eyes almost as if to say he was right. fletcher and his indecisiveness. it could be annoying, but nothing that he couldn't handle. he'd just tease the boy right back. after find a table and receiving menus that jean glanced it as he decided what to eat. fletcher asked him and he looked up."we can get a pizza to share. unless you want something else."either way jean was getting a pizza, but did he want something else to go along with it? maybe a salad or something. he had also spotted the pasta on the menu. how long had it been since he had a pasta dish. there were so many good choices. though he would be quick to make a decision once their server would arrive at their table.
Fletcher rolled his eyes when Jean mentioned how they would have to put it to the test. "Fine fine, what ever you say." He answered him back, chuckling, thinking the subject might be dropped, unaware that it would be brought up again in the near future. He had mentioned the carrying and he found himself rolling his eyes. "Or not.... maybe you lost your chance." He answered, teasing him back. He had followed him to the table before being handed a menu. He asked his question only to be told they would have the option of sharing a pizza or ordering their own meal. "We could share a pizza." He answered, not really focused on the menu anymore. If there was left over pizza, it was bound to be finished sooner or later. Besides so long as he ate what he touched, it wouldn't be that big of a deal if he hadn't had his half, in a matter of speaking.
"Unless you wanted to order something else." He added, giving the option right back at Jean, but if that were the case he was tempted to order the least expensive thing on the menu that could be viewed as not eating much, such as the salad bar. "I warn you though, if we share a pizza, be sure to eat all that you touch." There was a smug grin on his face as he said it, failing to mention that would be what he planned on doing. "I'd hate for you to have a whole pizza for yourself, not that you could handle it." He teased playfully, knowing that was likely true, but then again, he hadn't seen Jean in a while so maybe it was possible, depending on the size of the pizza. He waited for the server to come by, ordering water the first chance he got.
jean simply smiled in response."well, it doesn't matter now does it."he shrugged nonchalantly with a laugh. jean, as soon as he was done glancing at the menu he closed it and set it aside."i'm fine with that. what do you want on your pizza? i'm good with whatever. no i'm craving pizza."he told him with a nod.
he raised an eyebrow in confusion."you make it sound like i have cooties. don't worry i'll let you serve me."he told him with a grin before laughing."okay i know i said i was hungry, but i'm not going to eat a whole pizza. or is this your way of telling me you want the pizza all to yourself? i can order my own if you don't want to share."jean teased back. not long after the server came to collect their order and the menus."go ahead and order for us."jean told fletcher with a smile.
