Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

“is that a challenge?”it seemed like fletcher was doing that quite often.”you really don’t think i can resist your charms?”he asked with a wink before laughing softly. he ate a bit more of his pizza, thinking of something else to add. clearly jean was up for any and all types of challenges. he was ready to prove fletcher wrong despite having moments of impulsivity.
”starting now i won’t touch you for the rest of the day. if i win…”he paused for a second. coming up with the terms was easy, but what did he want if he won? that was going to be difficult. obviously it had to be something good, not just something completely random. then again what was the point in being serious about this whole thing, after all this was nothing but fun and games.”if i win, you let me join your new club.”he said with a smirk.
he finished his slice of pizza and wiped his hands on the napkin before setting it on the plate. the pizza was pretty good, but he was full.”no rush, but im done.”he told him with a smile. he sipped the last of his drink. the server had come by to drop off the bill and jean made sure he grabbed it first.”my treat.”
Fletcher couldn't help but lean slightly forward before answering, "Very much so." He smiled at him before leaning back once more. He nodded his head when Jean asked his questions, of course he didn't think Jean could resist, but then again, he hadn't attempted to try in the past. He chuckled when he heard Jean's comment, pausing when he heard his comment. "Why?" It didn't make any sense for Jean to want to join his new gang. I don't think he'll win, frankly it is up to Naomi if she lets him in or not but I see no harm in wagering this anyway. He thought to himself. "More like, I won't stop you if Naomi allows you to join. Seeing as it is her gang and all, I think it is only fair that you convince her to let you join. Though if you lose I plan on keeping you from getting even that far." He answered in return before adding, "Of course, knowing your luck, you will lose and when that comes, I'll be here to cash in." He wasn't sure what he'd want from Jean, strangely enough his company seemed enough right at the moment, it seemed so wasteful to wager when he had no idea what else he'd want from him.
"Knowing you, you'd lose on purpose just for my win." He answered, seeming to debate on what he could chose. He started eating his third slice of pizza. Jean mentioned being done and upon the receipt being placed on the table, Jean had snatched it first. "You owe me a phone number too, so don't think paying gets you off the hook of providing one." He answered, finishing his slice of pizza. It seemed they'd have a few pizza left, oh well, just meant it would be for leftovers for later. "Perhaps I should take this off of your hands, maybe you'll come looking for it later." He joked, requesting the server to bring them a box for the pizza. He never was one for wasting, it was why if he didn't plan on eating in the first place he didn't have to worry about having leftovers, not that Jean needed to know about his death or anything like that.
jean looked at him with a smirk on his face. oh it seemed like he wasn't going to play fair."thanks for that vote of confidence."he chuckled with a shake of his head.
he shrugged at the comment."i don't plan on sleeping with your boss. don't worry. i'm bored, i want something to do. we both know i clearly suck at being a leader."he said nonchalantly. honestly, he wanted something to do. he wanted to be useful. he had managed to have some savings and it wasn't about the money.
it sounded so pathetic, he figured he should stop there. there wasn't anything wrong with having a bit of fun right? he shrugged at his words, it wasn't like he was trying extremely hard to get into this new gang he was a part of."wait, so you're not even going to tell me? wow, its not because you can't think of something is it?"jean said with a teasing smile.
he feigned hurt."again with such negative comments. it's like you don't want me to become a part of your little gang."he smiled and shook his head."which is? my bad luck or am i going to forefit?"
he looked at him curiously."any phone number. coming right up."he chuckled as he motioned for fletcher to give him his phone."you make it sound like i'm always hungry."jean said as he pushed his chair back and stood up. he left the money for their meal and a little extra."you ready to go? where are we going next? should i take you home?"
Fletcher shrugged his shoulders, unsure of what to day. On the one hand being in a gang with Jean seemed nice on the other, he wanted to take things nice and slowly. Jean made his comment and he didn't correct him on the subject. "Are you sure it is boredom and not just because you want to follow me around?" He asked, teasing playfully. When Jean commented about him not saying what he wanted, he rolled his eyes at him. "Or I want to see your reaction when you lose, which ever." He answered, back to him, though truthfully he wasn't sure what to request yet. "Maybe a little bit of both." He answered him in return. "Though if your serious about joining the gang, you shouldn't forefit." He teased, "Else following me around will become even more difficult."
He was enjoying this time with Jean. When mentioning phone numbers, he rolled his eyes, expecting Jean to give him the correct one. As soon as he got his cell phone back, he'd send a text, 'This better be you, Jean.' waiting to see if Jean's phone would go off or not. "I was never one for being wasteful." He countered, having the pizza placed in the box before standing from the table, collecting the box in his hand. "I don't know, but now that we have each other's number, it should be easier to keep it touch? Yeah?" He asked, curious on if Jean was serious about keeping in touch with him. "I head home later, for now I feel like wandering around the city a bit." He answered, not wanting to admit that he was homeless.
jean smiled."it is boredom and that's why i want to follow you around. i want to see you in action, so to speak."he ended with a laugh before opening his mouth to say something more."i promise you won't even know i'm there."
he chuckled once more."right. is that all? though i'm going to prove you wrong. i have more self control than you think."jean told him as he reached for fletcher's phone. he had no intention on giving him a fake number. not when he told him that he wanted to start their friendship anew. he slide the phone back before pulling out his own."are you doubting me already?"he asked laughing once more.
there was a small period of silence, but at last jean's phone chimed, announcing that he had recieved a message. he opened his phone and sent a reply back to fletcher. it simply said, hello."don't worry i'll eat it before we part ways. well unless you eat it at home."
"i'm not going to ignore you if that's what you're implying."jean looked at the time on his phone."i think this is the longest time we've been together. first time we met in the library i think you lasted what? twenty minutes. though it did feel more like five."jean said with a teasing grin.
"alright so where to next?"jean said tagging along, but making sure he kept enough space between them. he hadn't forgotten about the challenge.
Fletcher rolled his eyes, but wasn't bothered by Jean's answer. It was flattering to hear Jean say that he wanted to see him in action. "If you say so." He answered in return, having given Jean his phone number before later getting a text message from him. "I'm telling you that you'll lose." He answered with a grin, being playful. He looked at his phone, still debating on sending a message back to him or not, choosing as this time to slip it into his pocket instead. "How about this, I'll text when we meet up again. Orrr you can too." He answered, not wanting Jean to believe he'd be waiting forever. I need to handle a few things and if there is the slightest chance that you join the gang, I don't want you figuring out I died just yet. He thought to himself before faking a smile. "How does that sound?"
jean couldn't help, but smirk at fletcher's words."wow, it really sounds like you don't want to lose."that was fine with him, he wanted to see just how far fletcher was willing to go."we shall see won't we?"jean continued to smirk.
"so which is it? do you want me to text you first or what?"jean asked with a small laugh."i think i can clear some things off my schedule."jean said as he pretended to look over his calendar on his phone."don't worry, i meant what i said. i'll text you if i don't hear back from you first."
Fletcher couldn't help but chuckle at Jean's comment. "Yes, yes we shall." He answered Jean in return, smug grin on his face. "Either one." He answered him in return. "Sure you could." He added, still having a smug grin on his face. "Sounds good." He answered him in return before adding, "Also you could do it before too if you want, but I'm going to take care of a few things. So I'll chat with you later. It was good seeing you Jean." He answered, before giving his farewells before turning to walk away from Jean.
