Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!

averie rolled her eyes, but started laughing just the same."is that how i get you to stick around? my alluring voice. good to know."she said as she took a seat next to him. you couldn't go wrong with the counter. sure maybe if you didn't want random people talking to you that could be a problem, but hey maybe you could get a free drink out of the ordeal. on the bright side the stools were the ones that spun. so that was always fun!
"maybe i should really start to write this down. so less is not more in this situation. got it."she started laughing even more. could you picture it. having to be dragged away from the casket."you know i'm probably going to have to do some sort of eye makeup. with all that crying going on it will be more dramatic with mascara and eyeliner streaming down my face. what if they tip it over while they are trying to pull me off? i should be shouting how we should of gone together to make it even more dramatic. or maybe as a final touch i should set something on fire, on accident of course."as much fun as this was, she really hoped it wouldn't happen for a long time. she didn't have too many friends and the ones she had she wanted to be with for a long time.
she smiled."aw, that makes me feel super special and you better. i should get that in writing. i'll pester you if you don't keep your word."it was difficult to be aware that you could outlive your friends. it's probably why she didn't like to think about it much or when she did it could be made fun of."dude i haven't even had a drink yet and i'm getting all emotional."
she scooted closer to peek at the drink menu he was holding. as if she was going to try something new. she usually stuck to her favorites, but she did want to try something new eventually."it really has, i need to steal you away from your roommate more often."she said with a laugh."not much honestly, just week has just been nothing but work. what about you? you know you're more than welcome to drop by anytime." it felt like it had been quite sometime since she had last gone out with bell. didn't matter what they were doing or where they were at. they always managed to have fun. coincidentally hadn't they met at this same bar they were going to now? she wasn't going to deny that he had caught her eye the first time they met. he was rather refreshing, said what was on his mind, he was great. it was probably why they got along so well.
she loved to tease him, he was such a good sport. she laughed as she brought up the whole roommate thing up again. it would of been entertaining to say the least, not that she ever wanted real harm to come to bell. his voice went a little higher as he spoke."you think i sound like that? so rude."she laughed as she rolled her eyes as he continued."i should write this down. i mean you're not wrong. how much crying are we talking about? like silent tears that lead up to a full on sob, enough for me that i like have to be carried out of the room or would that be too much?"she said with a laugh of her own."as if. you better not leave me, i'll hurt you if you do. so leave your roommate alone my angel."she said with a playful smile.
averie nodded at the mention of the counter."i can't wait to see that darling, counter sounds good me."she said as they headed in that direction."i don't know, maybe something sweet. what are you getting?" [break]

this unexpected date had actually been fun. not that she didn't have fun when she was with bell. he was at the top of her list as someone she would have fun with no matter what they ended up doing. the movie had been decent at best, would she recommend it. yes. this night was from over. after all he had promised to drink her under the table and she wouldn't be saying no to that challenge."i know you said no, but we should of messed with your roommate a bit more."she said with a laugh. knowing full well, that it probably wouldn't end well for bell. of course she had only been teasing.
it didn't take them too long to get to the crown after the movie had finished. while they made it to the crown she talked about her favorite parts and the jump scares that had managed to catch her off guard. she loved scary movies and she felt like she'd seen so many that most were becoming highly predictable. this was started off the same, but it had its twist which she liked. she kept seconding guessing herself and that made the movie even better.
once inside she glanced around."table or counter. or are you literally going to drink me under the table?"she laughed. honestly it didn't matter to her where they sat down. she was already thinking about her first beverage. [break]
