Joy touched Tadashi's heart as the date arrived where he would spend time with his close friend, Issei. After the surprisingly sanctioned push away of the woman he never loved months prior, the redhead's spirits rose exponentially. Rather than the suffocating reality of a horrifically sorrowful future marriage, his subsequent freedom provided a breath of the freshest air. The easement that arrived finally allowed Tadashi to experience the wave of emotions rushing over him over the years of content friendship.

Through the heat of pleasant summers and the chill of cold winters, a light signaled in Tadashi's life. Hypnotized by the luminescence, the naga was drawn similar to a moth incoming on an impending flame. The warmth enclosed him at mere thoughts as images of him danced in the concaves of his mind. Brilliant spectacles taking hold of his breath and holding it hostage before slowly releasing. Even before his marriage, the redheaded naga discovered his interests leaning towards his white-haired friend.

Issei was a man of wonders in Tadashi's eyes. A master of summoning smiles across his thin lips and a chuckle to rise from the depths of his throat. A soft sigh escaped the redhead's lips as his heart skipped a happy beat. In the spring air, he ventured, picking up steps as excitement bolted through his veins. Merely the thought of being around Issei summoned a stir of happiness within the man... He wanted the opportunity more than anything and with Issei's strict father, the chances were sparse on a majority of occasions.

As his red eyes spotted the familiar sign of the chosen coffeehouse, Tadashi's steps instinctually pushed forward. Inside his heart fluttered gleefully as memories of the shy dragon invaded his thoughts. The ring of the coffee shop's bell sounded above him as Tadashi entered. His quick time steps and observant eyes ferried the young man to a table. Smoothly, he slipped into the booth and settled down. As a waitress passed by, Tadashi waved a gentle hand to her.

"I'm waiting for someone, I'll order when he comes," the man explained quietly.

The request prompted the young woman to nod before leaving the table for the time being. On the wall, the clock ticked in the background. Through his excitement, Tadashi was forced into a position of waiting, and as their meeting time dawned, the redhead stirred anxiously. Perpetually, his legs moved as his fingers fiddled with his phone as he grappled with thoughts of texting or proceeding with his patience. The toll of the bell gathered his attention as his flitting eyes returned to the door and unfamiliar faces passed by his eyes.

For a few moments, his brown hues would analyze them before he stirred in his seat. Despite his heightened spirits, he always worried about abrupt cancellations from Issei. The white-haired man never intended for the little incidents, rather, his family regularly ruined his plans; accidentally or via suffocating strictness. Occasionally, his brown eyes checked the screen of his phone, hoping the light would not pour across the blackness and reveal an unfortunate message. As the bell tolled once more, Tadashi's eyes returned to the door, fixated and eventually brought a smile to his face.

Upon witnessing the familiar face, Tadashi's posture straightened and his fingers plucked and returned the phone to his pocket. Approaching the table was Issei, the man the redhead had been waiting for. The mention of his lateness was shoved aside with a dismissive, waving gesture.

"Hey, don't worry about it. I'm just glad we could get coffee, you know?" A chuckle punctuated the question. "Man, feels so much better seeing you again in the flesh! It always feels like forever since we've seen each other, you know?"

The redhead's hands settled on the table, grasped together and resting against the cool, flat surface. His brown eyes drank in the sight of the gentle smile perched on the dragon's lips. A soft expression that brought his heart to a happy flutter. Witnessing the beauty in the grin was easy, especially after the amount he admired and appreciated Issei. There was a lovely nature to it, the type that breathed pure dopamine throughout his veins. Seeing Issei smile like that, it woke Tadashi better than any caffeinated beverage could.
