Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
Nonstop concerns flooded into Nathan's mind at the thought of Tristan participating in weapon-based training despite it being necessary for his new occupation. Over-protectiveness felt natural for the vampire, especially after losing two individuals he cared immensely about to the monstrous forces of the Assembly of Phantoms. First, they robbed the life of Nathan's delightful nanny who displayed care similar to what somebody would expect of a mother; she raised him like her own. In the absence of his parents, the delightful face of the nanny who supported him was welcomed. Then the second was the blow which originally turned him bitter, the memories of his brother's final moments permanently etched into his mind. The Assembly of Phantoms stole the single member of his direct family who truly displayed love, affection and endless support, although, Nathan knew he played a part in Donovan's demise. Foolish decisions which resulted in a moment peril for the younger vampire and a single attack Donovan was required to defend him from to allow him to live. A gloss of sadness covered Nathan's yellow-green eyes as he listened to Tristan.
[break][break]
There were no smiles or playful comments in return and instead there was a pure concern across Nathan's face as he stared at Tristan. When his boyfriend stated he would be unable to protect him during every threat made the vampire flinch. The truth was evident in every word the blond stated, Nathan hastily becoming aware he will be unable to always protect his lover. Silence remained as the vampire merely listened, his heart beating in concern for his boyfriend's safety; he loved Tristan so much. The additional information about the darts resulted in the hunter's expression softening. There was a pause as Nathan took a deep breath before releasing a long sigh. Carefully, his hand reached up to caress Tristan's face, thumb gently rubbing against his cheek.
[break][break]
"Is... is that what you want?" Nathan murmured softly. "... I'm sorry, babe... You know how I can get. If you want to throw knives you can... but please, for the love of the gods, be careful. I don't want to lose you too."
[break][break]
After the words slowly left Nathan's lips, he wrapped his arms around Tristan, attempting to bringing him into a tight hug. Happiness was something the green-haired hunter wished to gift his boyfriend, thus if throwing knives made him happy and allowed him to be safe, he was willing to allow it. For a moment, Nathan paused their walk with intentions of holding the blond in his arms, hoping he would hear those words to reassure his worried mind.
Automatically, Nathan weaved his fingers between Tristan's, his grip on his boyfriend's hand remaining tight as they exited the TRS headquarters. As they left the safe sanction of the headquarters, the vampire's eyes analyzed the area around them, quietly assuring himself their surroundings were non-threatening for a long, pleasant walk home. A tranquil exhale flowed through the green-haired man's lips as he proceeded forward, calmed by the lack of visible threats in the area. The adorable flirting his boyfriend accomplished in the meantime resulted in faint red being painted across Nathan's cheeks as he blushed in response; Tristan could always be incredibly adorable when he flirted. The reciprocated hand squeezing was reassuring and pleasurable, an odd comfort shared between the couple which reminded one another their significant other remained present to support them. There were several snuggles provided by his boyfriend which increased the blush on Nathan's cheeks, the vampire promptly returning the favour. Briefly, the vampire paused, his yellow-green eyes flitting to Tristan to affectionately smile at his beloved boyfriend who brought him endless happiness.
[break][break]
As they proceeded down the sidewalks home, Nathan kept his boyfriend close, his eyes carefully skimming their surroundings. Occasionally, he would glance at his adorable blond boyfriend, providing a broad smile every time. Without Tristan, there would be an extreme shortage of happiness in the vampire's life, however, it never ceased Nathan's endless worries for his lover's health. A single whispered worried grabbed the green-haired hunter's attention, his eyes fixating on Tristan as he waited for the words to proceed. It appeared the blond human planned on talking about his training lesson during their walk home from the headquarters. When the word weapon reached Nathan's ears, the vampire's eyes widened in surprise as he narrowly managed to maintain silence so Tristan could continue his story. As the story proceeded, the words left his boyfriend's mouth faster, Nathan barely managing to catch every word of the information Tristan was providing him. There was a pause as the vampire kept walking, silent for a few moments which allowed Tristan to add an additional comment.
[break][break]
"You... were knife throwing?" Nathan began, pausing again. "Tristan, that is dangerous! What if you got clumsy and hurt yourself?! Honestly, Brasti should not be suggesting that kind of stuff for you! Hell, he shouldn't place you on the field. You are a terror magnet!"
[break][break]
Silence ensued as an extensive sigh escaped the vampire's mouth, his hand carefully pulling Tristan closer to him. It became obvious Nathan's over-protective side began showing as he genuinely believed his boyfriend should not be expected to defend himself. After knowing Tristan for several months, the hunter knew his boyfriend attracted terrors easily, but Nathan believed he could protect him whenever necessary; it was his job after all.
Providing affection became a natural instinct for Nathan once he started dating Tristan. The blond made him high on positive emotions, every second making the colours more vibrant while his heart fluttered joyfully. Constantly, the human man brought immense happiness to the vampire's life, bringing endless amounts of happiness. While the TRS hunter adored his precious boyfriend, caution remained whenever he displayed his love publicly; despite his tough act, Nathan could be rather shy about showing affection. There were certain concepts best left for the privacy of their home, and sometimes only behind the locked doors of their bedroom. However, an occasional kiss on the cheek, some hugs and snuggling were always welcomed and provided at opportune times. The soft sensation of pressing his lips against Tristan’s plush cheek was always enjoyable for Nathan. When his boyfriend melted against him, the green-haired vampire automatically tightened his embrace, pulling Tristan closer to his side. There was body heat between them was incredible, Nathan enjoying the signs of life; the heat and the sound of Tristan’s breathing. Unfortunately, they were required to leave, Nathan rising from the table and fetching his boyfriend’s hand. The vampire maintained a tight grip, listening as the blond stated he would tell the splinter story at home.
[break][break]
Momentarily, the hunter raised a brow before providing a shrug and leading the way. Slowly, Nathan guided Tristan out of the examination room. He kept his blond beauty close, the minor incident still resulting in immense worry for his lover. The sprinting comment caused Nathan to chuckle until Tristan transformed it into a flirtatious remark. Blush slightly touched the vampire’s cheeks, the corners of his lips poking up into a broad grin.
[break][break]
“And you would be the most beautiful nurse,” he whispered, flirting in return. “Charming personality and a beautiful body? I think I have been spoiled.”
[break][break]
Playfully, Nathan squeezed his boyfriend’s hand, even going lengths to open the medical ward door for him. The grin remained on the vampire’s face, his heart fluttering gleefully in response to Tristan’s presence.
Precious air filled Nathan's lungs, the vampire finally comfortable as he melted against his beloved Tristan. There was a brief moment. the green-haired man closed his eyes, snuggling closer to sniff the blond's cologne, always finding his scent a soothing force. A warmth was shared through body heat, Nathan maintaining a tight embrace around his dearest boyfriend, snuggling him immensely. Carefully, the hunter rested his chin onto the blond's shoulder, eyes slowly opening as he watched the nurse work on Tristan's hand. The position of their sitting was comfortable to Nathan, his head resting on his shoulder while his arms remained around the blond's waist. An arm was around him, Tristan reciprocating the embrace and holding him close which maintained comfort for the vampire. Gently, Nathan pressed his lips against the human's cheek, giving him a soft kiss before resting his head back on the man's shoulder. Throughout the extensive run, he had worried immensely about his dearest, although, it appeared the slivers were quickly dealt with the issue. The gentle rubbing against his back was a major soother for Nathan as he continued to snuggle.
[break][break]
"How did you get the splinters?" Nathan asked quietly.
[break][break]
Finally, the splinters were removed, the nurse nodding as Tristan thanked her before taking her leave. Quietly, Nathan watched her leave, still affectionately snuggling Tristan. A small smile touched the vampire's lips when the blond mentioned heading home and telling the story of the splinter.
[break][break]
"Yes, we should head home, my love," Nathan murmured. "I hope you don't mind walking. I can always call a taxi though."
[break][break]
The embrace was broken, Nathan standing before offering Tristan a hand to lead him out of the medical ward. Being allowed to take Tristan home was incredible, especially for those few calming moments of travel. There were plenty of walks and drives they enjoyed together, and the green-haired man was excited to gain the opportunity for another trip.
Entering the examination room and discovering his precious Tristan was something which soothed Nathan incredibly. While the vampire remained absolutely exhausted from the intense run in search of the blond, he could discover pleasure in the man is alright. The green-haired man's breathing remained deep and fast as he provided his deprived blood of oxygen, each breath was deep, designed to fill his lungs with crucial air. After minutes of concerning thoughts, the hunter could finally calm as he settled next to Tristan, keeping his arms tight around him while he merely breathed. Releasing the blond felt impossible, especially considering Nathan's exhausted body leaned heavily against him while he waited to catch his breath and cease the steady aching in his chest. Words were beyond the vampire as he merely fixated on breathing, trying to regain composure after his extensive run. When Tristan's arm wrapped around him, pulling him closer, Nathan melted against his boyfriend while he gradually found his body relaxing. Happily, Nathan snuggles back when provided attention from the blond, keeping the distance between them nonexistent.
[break][break]
"I'm... fine," he finally answered between breaths.
[break][break]
Confusion remained evident on the nurse's face as she proceeded to remove splinters, thoroughly inspecting to assure there were none remaining. Once assured, she grabbed some disinfectant and a small cotton ball. The cotton ball was placed over the mouth of the bottle, the nurse waiting a few moments until it soaked before returning to carefully dab Tristan's hand. Eventually, the vampire found himself able to speak and sit up straighter.
[break][break]
"I was worried you got hurt by... you know," Nathan explained vaguely.
[break][break]
The vague explanation was aimed towards the blond's father, Nathan certain that Tristan would know the individual he was referring to. Considering the sensitive details, like abuse, the vampire avoided stating directly who the person was.
The telltale sign of danger being around Nathan's boyfriend was the phantom pains which sparked fits of worry. After handling the situation with Tristan's father, the vampire frequently worried about the blond's safety. Constantly, the horrible man haunted his thoughts, sparking a mild paranoia for his lover, especially when he was alone. Down the sidewalks, Nathan sprinted, activating his enhanced speed as he struggled to arrive where Tristan stated he would be; the TRS headquarters. Hastily, the green-haired teen kept running, despite the edging exhaustion from the long run. Eventually, the headquarters began coming into view, Nathan bursting through the front doors and searching desperately for Tristan. Numerous people were inquired, gradually leading the vampire towards the medical ward. Merely hearing the title of where people went for treatment worried the hunter as he proceeded to push himself, lungs aching as his heart continued to rapidly beat. Breathing remained elevated as the frantic vampire searched for his boyfriend. There was a momentary stop at the desk, Nathan blurting out Tristan's name through his deep breathing.
[break][break]
The secretary wore a concerned expression upon seeing Nathan, however, promptly rose to lead the vampire instead. He was evidently hoping a short walk could allow the hunter to soothe his breathing. Gradually, their steps got closer to the examination room, Nathan quickly opening it when the secretary pointed.
[break][break]
"Tr-tri... stan," Nathan mumbled out, still breathing heavy.
[break][break]
Slowly, Nathan stumbled over, the nurse raising a brow in confusion, however, she appeared unconcerned. The vampire walked close, wrapping his arms around Tristan, snuggling him.
Struggling appeared successful as they were launched backwards by the wall of blood. The loosening grip was Nathan’s proof that the endless fighting against his grip was working. Eventually, the male vampire’s enhanced strength allowed him to pull away from Demetria. There was no hesitation as the experienced hunter hastily slipped out from the redhead’s arm. Immediately, the hunter’s hands grazed the ground as he smoothly transitioned from falling with Demetria to scurrying to his feet. Once he managed to stand steadily, the green-haired vampire rushed away from the redhead, creating distance between them. With narrowed eyes, Nathan glanced towards his apprentice, evidently infuriated by being captured in a headlock. He refused to allow Demetria’s deceptive tactics to fool him into uncompromising positions again. The granted freedom was promptly used to Nathan’s advantage as he manipulated the blood into several poles. The ends were blunt, merely designed to bruise his apprentice as opposed to causing severe damage. The full-fledged hunter believed his apprentice deserved the punishment for her rude and disrespectful attitude towards the person teaching her.
[break][break]
A sadistic smile crawled onto Nathan's face as she sent the poles rocketing towards Demetria, making certain to manage their speed to avoid extreme harm. Once the sparring was completed, the lessons of respect would have been completed, the male vampire hoping he would be successful. Vengeance for disrespecting him would finally be accomplished, much to Nathan's satisfaction, but there was an interruption. Subtle pains across his hands, adverting Nathan's attention as he looked over the hand featuring the tingling pains, yet, there were no cuts. The hunter's yellow-green eyes widened as realization dawned on him; Tristan got hurt during his lessons at the TRS headquarters. Concern immediately flooded through Nathan as tactics changed, the blood poles being shaped to have small points. Dexteriously, the male vampire moved them, intending to merely clip Demetria's clothing to pin her against the sparring room wall. There was no confirmation as Nathan already began sprinting towards the door, intending to find his boyfriend, assess his condition, then take him home.
[break][break]
"I'll be back! Behave yourself!" He shouted the words over his shoulder.
[break][break]
After the command to behave was provided, Nathan activated his enhanced speed, hurrying through the house and out the manor's main exit. While the journey would take time, the male vampire planned on running to his boyfriend and discovering what happened. The incident involving Tristan's father always resulted in Nathan worrying himself over the smallest injuries his dearest boyfriend received. Allowing that abhorrent excuse for a parent lay a single hand on Tristan again was an action Nathan would never condone. If Tristan's father were causing mayhem, the male vampire was already planning on fighting the horrible man as needed to rescue his precious Tristan.
As time locked in Demetria's arms increased, the more Nathan struggled against her tight grip. When she refused to release him, the male vampire bit harder onto her arm, hoping he worsen the pain. Allowing for Demetria to maintain this grip would result in a devasting ending to their sparring match, especially considering losing to her would be pathetic. The male vampire knew his skills were superior to the redhead's, years of training left him stronger than before. Blood graced Nathan's tongue the longer his apprentice refused to release him, the male vampire allowing his fangs to sink deep into Demetria's arm as punishment for holding him tightly in the headlock position. The uncompromising position kept Nathan struggling, the experienced hunter biting down harder while he endlessly squirmed in her grip, becoming more desperate as time proceeded. Meanwhile, a large, rectangular wall of blood was being formed, Nathan hoping he could grant himself freedom before smacking Demetria away. Unfortunately, the redhead refused to release him from the tight headlock, the blood wall smacking into his apprentice, but sending them both backwards.
[break][break]
When the blood wall collided, Nathan struggled harder, releasing his bite to access his enhanced strength. Once he enhanced his strength, he grabbed Demetria arm, attempting to pull it away. The first priority was gaining freedom and distance from his apprentice, the male vampire already possessing ideas to use blood manipulation against Demetria. If this redheaded nuisance planned on using deceptive tactics to defeat him, then the green-haired man refused to hold back.
Foolishly, Nathan decided to rush forward, delaying usage of his blood manipulation. Manipulating blood was the male vampire’s most powerful skill, but he desired to prove he did not require it to beat Demetria until she was a canvas of bruises. A few years of working in the TRS accompanied by training with his older brother resulted in Nathan possessing excellent combat skills. As he rushed forward, enhanced speed propelling him to proceed, he witnessed the redhead step to the side. The movement was unexpected, the experienced hunter failing to notice the plan. As the bottle of blood dropped from her hands, Nathan’s eyes widened with realization as he noticed the cap screwed shut; the entire thing was a trick. Desperately, the male vampire attempted to stop himself, but his intense speed forced him forward. An arm wrapped around him, placing him into a headlock position. Immediately, Nathan’s eyes narrowed into a glare as he struggles against Demetria’s hold on him, refusing to yield to the position. The comment the redhead provided afterwards annoyed Nathan further as he struggled more against her grip. Eventually, the desperation increased, the male vampire working towards getting his teeth sunk into Demetria’s arm in hopes she would release him.
[break][break]
There was a requirement for release, Nathan wanted to assure his escape from Demetria’s arms in case he failed to sink his teeth into her flesh. Instead of merely attempting to bite, the hunter began manipulating the bottle's contents, the blood moving inside. A portion turned into a sharp point constructed of blood which promptly punctured a hole into the bottle, allowing for Nathan to force the blood from its prison. Once the liquid was freed, the male vampire smoothly manipulated the blood, creating a large wall which he forced forward, attempting to hit Demetria in hopes of gaining freedom. Afterwards, he could properly handle his redhead and gift her with a variety of bruises which she deserved for the rude, disrespectful words she constantly used against him whenever possible. NOBODY was allowed to speak in those derogatory ways to him, Nathan even willing to snap at his lieutenant for the callous remarks he stated.
Silently, Nathan observed his apprentice, eyes narrowed as he slowly walked forward, following Demetria from the floor. There was an arrogant smirk evident on the male vampire's face as he proceeded to follow, amused by his apprentice's actions. Admittedly, the conceited hunter believed the redhead's actions were fueled by cowardice. In his opinion, Nathan was superior in skill from both his natural capabilities and the rigorous training generously provided to him. Nobody could possibly defeat him, years of training would easily allow him to succeed in combat. He considered certain factors, Demetria failing to cause any damage feeding those arrogant beliefs of complete superiority. Gradually, he followed his body language displaying his complete lack of concern. There were few things which could possibly sway Nathan's genuine beliefs that his apprentice was fearful of him; she crawled up a wall to escape him! As he followed Demetria, the trail led him to the table where a single plastic bottle filled with blood remained stationed. Once there, his apprentice departed from the wall, landing onto the table to consume the precious red liquid, back turned to him.
[break][break]
Instantly, Nathan's eyes narrowed into a glare as he became irritated by the action. Enemies were not foolish enough to allow a vampire to suckle down blood amidst a brawl and furthermore, his apprentice decided to be reckless. There was no hesitation as the green-haired vampire invoked his enhanced speed, rushing forward. As he rapidly started to approach Demetria, he turned in hopes of ramming his shoulder into his apprentice. Reckless instincts overtook control, the male vampire still infuriated by the dangerous actions the redhead decided to take, but he remained unbeknownst everything was merely a trap. On the majority of occasions, people would heavily feed Nathan's short-tempered attitude through pathetic insults and criticism, but never by displaying ignorance and carelessness. The male vampire believed he was a threat and refused to allow anybody to show him otherwise by idiotically turning their back to him.
Control was loose on Nathan's enhanced strength, the male vampire was capable of invoking the ability, but his strength was known to abruptly appear in moments of anger; there was a chance it remained lingering throughout the start of their duel. The successful grab of Demetria's fist resulted in a broad smirk stretching across Nathan's lips as he tightened his hand around her fist before reaching to tightly grab her wrist. Whenever the redhead attempted to escape his grip, the green-haired man would tighten it before swinging her into the nearby wall, releasing when he was assured Demetria was thrown off balance. The smirk remained as his apprentice slammed into the wall, Nathan feeling triumphant for managing to hurt his apprentice again. Obviously, he would successfully be winning in their spar, considering his superior skills; at least in the arrogant hunter's opinion. Unfortunately, his apprentice cleverly used the wall as a method of escape, using her vampire powers to crawl up the surface and increase the distance between them. The male vampire's eyes narrowed, countenance shifting into a scowl as he watched Demetria crawl higher.
[break][break]
Walls and ceilings were unfavourable terrains for battling an opponent, especially considering the limited array of moves. Vampires could only defy gravity in particular ways, making jumping and standing on the wall impossible. Instead of pursuing his apprentice, Nathan crosses his arms, yellow-green eyes watching her carefully. The hunter still wished to avoid invoking the use of his blood manipulation, but should it become a requirement, he prepared himself. In case he needed his blood manipulation, Nathan allowed his fangs to prutrude, knowing they were plenty sharp to cut into his flesh.
Easy mode was nonexistent, the only mercies provided by Nathan being fatal or severe wounds; he merely wanted to literally beat some sense into Demetria. The woman did have the audacity to state his combat skills were inferior in an obnoxiously smug tone. The successful dodge resulted in a smirk stretching across the male vampire’s lips in triumph. There were conceited beliefs roaming through Nathan’s mind as he prepared to launch a sharp kick at Demetria’s back, but the redhead employed similar methods. Enhanced speed was a mutually shared tool, his apprentice turning quickly to block the kick by crossing her arms in an X shape. Immediately, his eyes narrowed into an irritated glare because of her excellent block against his attack, although, he had managed to push her backwards. Alas, he wanted to cause bruises, damage his apprentice for deciding to disrespect his authority. The hot-headed vampire was prepared to proceed with the spar as Demetria hastily recovered, leaving little room for Nathan to proceed attacking while she was on the ground. She clenched a fist, her hand speedily flying towards Nathan, which the young man responded to with attempting to catch it.
[break][break]
Should he succeed, Nathan planned on ignoring any pains which manifested with the impact to increase his strength. With two hands, he wanted to grab Demetria's fist firmly and attempt to throw her against the nearby wall behind him. All he required was to cease the punch and gain a grip on her fist and wrist to accomplish the simple action of strength. While he risked having Demetria close, the male vampire desired to delay the use of long-distance attacks, which meant avoiding the use of his blood manipulation.
The pause before the battle was always interesting to Nathan, especially when his eyes gained the opportunity to stare at his upcoming opponent; even should it merely be a spar. Across from the full-fledged hunter stood his apprentice, who requested for sparring the instant they entered the specialized training area. While Nathan wished more training occurred prior to their spar, his apprentice had managed to irritate him to extreme points. The arrogant young man failed to tolerate her constant, disrespectful criticism. While a majority of mentors may have reprimanded training lessons until their apprentice learned to display respect, Nathan thought otherwise. Certainly, providing his apprentice with plenty of bruises would result in her listening, right? Gradually, the countdown ticked, excitement roaming Nathan’s veins as they proceeded to get closer to the inevitable spar. There was always something enjoyable about sparring, even when his opponent managed to somehow defeat him, it remained jovial, albeit, mildly painful depending on intensity. The loud blaring of the siren echoed through the large room, notifying himself and Demetria it was time to begin. There was a slight narrowing to Nathan’s eyes as he waited for the redhead’s move, opting to watch the first pathetic move she would make.
[break][break]
When she rushed towards him, Nathan watching for the queues which would relay her move. The kick was aimed for his leg, the male vampire using his enhanced speed to move forward and dodge. Adrenaline already began flowing through his body as he quickly moved, a tailwind following from the intense speed. There was no hesitation as Nathan attempted to kick Demetria in the back, trying to plant his foot around the shoulders to send her face first into the ground. A smirk graced his lips, the male fantasizing over ending the battle within a few minutes and humiliating Demetria.
There was little tolerance Nathan possessed in regards to Demetria, especially after the rude comments the redhead stated in response to his skills. The ill-tempered vampire could not allow his smug apprentice to get away with her nasty comments in regards to the capabilities he possessed. Gulping down the blood allowed for his powers to increase, Nathan hoping this would assist in allowing him to defeat his apprentice in their coming spar. The male vampire refused to allow the redhead to beat him, especially after the manner she spoke to him and the lack of respect when she decided to address him. Despite witnessing his fighting capabilities during the fight on Valentine's day, the woman appeared reluctant to believe he held numerous skills in regards to battle. However, due to the redhead's need to disrespect her mentor, Nathan was keen on giving her a variety of bruises; to paint her skin blue, purple and black. While he would attempt to avoid cutting her, the male vampire would spare no time giving her numerous bruises. Currently, his apprentice appeared unfazed by his threats, despite Nathan being determined to keep his word on it.
[break][break]
A full water bottle of blood remained perch beside his now emptied one, Nathan raised a brow; was his apprentice being foolish and deciding to avoid drinking? Once finished his bottle, the full-fledged hunter stomped towards the sparring ring, ignoring Demetria's smug comment as he approached the wide open field, entering through a doorway. Inside was reinforced walls, alongside varying obstacles made of similar reinforced materials, designed to add a special essence to the sparring match.
[break][break]
"Stay here, I will set the countdown to go off then we can fight," he growled.
[break][break]
Briefly, Nathan entered the control room, setting the countdown before crossing to the side of the room where he would be stationed. On a screen high above the control panel, red numbers flash, ticking down from 10 seconds. Time before the spar went by slowly for the male vampire as he stared ahead, making no solid plans on account of the enemies thoughts being subject to change his decision. Eventually, a noise blarred, signalling them to proceed, but Nathan remained still, watching to see what Demetria would do.
A sour expression remained on Nathan’s face as he bitterly stared out the window at his apprentice who he instructed to run laps. The criticism she provided was unappreciated considering Demetria was still a meagre apprentice, alas, it succeeded in bothering Nathan. Even prior to the premature demise of his older brother, the young vampire worked strenuously to become a suitable fighter with intentions to save others from the emotional torment of loss. Each passing day he strives to improve, thus he refused to allow the redhead to state otherwise without any substantial proof. Should there arrive a day where somebody did provide proof of his hunting failure, Nathan would only train harder to become a powerful and useful hunter. There was a deep temptation to leave the control room to start "sparring" his apprentice and causing some damage to Demetria; while Nathan would avoid seriously harming her, he would enjoy minor bouts of pain he could inflict. Silently, the male vampire proceeded to observe the lap running, waiting for the girl to begin talking smack; to warrant him the opportunity to enact revenge on his apprentice. Nobody truly mustered up the bravery to outright criticize him, especially considering the sadistic threats he uttered on occasion.
[break][break]
An amused smirk briefly graced Nathan’s lips when he successfully tripped Demetria. Clearly, she had fallen for the pattern of the walls consistently being brought up entirely and expected similar treatment. There were hardly any patterns in battle, especially considering the moves calculated by the enemy would always be different. Analyzing the situation swiftly was required should somebody wanted to avoid death, although, Nathan was renown for his brash decision making in the midst of battle; his fixation was to murder these creatures who stole his brother from him. When his apprentice rose, the male vampire’s eyes narrowed in a glare as he noticed the smug grin touching her lips. She began to speak, Nathan clenching his fists as he listened to the derogatory comments she stated against him. A fire began to burn inside Nathan, the short-tempered man’s anger easily becoming evident. He suddenly stood from the chair, kicking it back into the wall, an echo erupting through the control room. Shortly, he clicked the intercom button and leaned towards the microphone.
[break][break]
“SHUT UP! I WAS TRYING TO TEACH YOU TO FUCKING REACT BEFORE SOMETHING COULD MURDER YOU, BUT IF YOU’RE GOING TO BE A SMUG LITTLE ASSHOLE ABOUT IT, THEN GET TO THE SPARRING RING!” Nathan shouted loudly into the intercom, not bothering to censor any profanities which escaped his lips.
[break][break]
After listening to Demetria's criticism, Nathan was prepared to keep the promise of beating his apprentice into a bloody pulp. The male vampire hastily exited the control centre, striding across the training basement to fetch his blood rich water bottle to make certain he had ample fuel for his abilities. Several large gulps of the water bottle were taken, the green-haired man successfully draining it before shooting a nasty glare towards Demetria.
