Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
Christina hadn't been here very long but she couldn't help but like the scene in front of her. There were plenty of TRS members around, ones that she planned on killing off one at a time. Of course she'd first have to decide on who her first victim would be. There had been a few people near a Terror, they seemed like the perfect people to go after. They were too focused on the Terror that they weren't even paying attention to see that she was coming up from behind them. A radio had gone off and she was surprised to hear that it was talking about her. Somebody had noticed her right away, she'd be sure to go after them once she finished off these three. Though those three hunters were prepared for her, they hadn't yet killed off the Terror so she was able to work with the Terror to attack them without getting attacked very easily in return. The radio kept going off, she would have to make this quick and go after the scout before he said anything else.
I'm coming after you next. I promise. She thought to herself as she killed the last of the three hunters in front of her. She would than lean down to pick up the radio, looking around herself to try and spot the person looking in her direction that would be somewhat far away but trying to blend in. "I'm coming after you next." She answered into the radio, noticing moment and decided that was her scout on the move. She didn't care that any other TRS member had heard her threat, she was dead on set on going after that damn scout. His life would give her great pleasure. She tossed the radio onto the dead hunter before following after the scout, finally getting a good look at him. The guy had tried running away from her but she started chasing after him, creating water in her hand before freezing it into a knife before throwing it towards him. "Got you." She answered before laughing. I don't have time to play with him but I want this to be as slow as possible. She had an idea of how fast the TRS members came, seeing as she was still popular worldwide for her killings against TRS members.
It would be only a matter of time before this city came to realize the Ice Queen was here to stay. She watched the scout stumble as he fled from her. "Come now.... you had a death wish and I came just to deliver...." She loved seeing the fear in his eyes. Scouts were one of the easier TRS members to kill, besides medics of course. " She created more water, freezing it into a knife in her hand. "I'll even give you a free session of combat, what do you say?" There was nothing a scout hated more, than hearing they'd have to fight for their life. "Stand up....": She ordered, it wouldn't matter if he listened or not. He would be a deadman for blowing her cover when she was about to kill those hunters without being noticed. Any scout would be dead, any TRS member would be dead. Maybe if they didn't have such ugly uniforms she would have thought differently. "Too late." She raised the knife, preparing to stab the poor scout with it.
An idle ticking accompanied by the barely audible sound of pen scrawling across paper remained the only noises in the room as Emmet gradually decreased the paperwork pile. Freedom was contained in the air as the lieutenant began on the next sheet, his hatred for paperwork fueling his desire for escape. The black ink marked the paper with quickly etched letters that remained legible and neat despite haste. A final analysis was done to the equipment ordering sheet, the demon's yellow eyes gazing over the paper's page. A lip-tight smile twitched onto his lips as realization arrived and the completion of the agonizing paper stack. The forms were ferried towards the completion pile, being left neatly for later pickup for the general. Slowly, the dark-haired man rose from the office chair, stretching to relieve his stiffened muscles.
The TRS jacket was pulled over his shoulders as Emmet walked around his desk and towards the door. Once the coat was secured around him, the lieutenant flicked on his radio. Almost instantly, the radio flared to life as the sound of voices invaded the quiet office. He listened while adjusting his uniform so it embraced him comfortably. Concern entered his expression as he heard the panicked words of a scout requesting back up, the location given. In an instant, the lieutenant was already moving hastily to leave the building. Once the crowded hallways were left the radio was placed close to his lips as he informed the scout to try and get closer to the TRS building. Shortly, the demon was in a sprint, carrying himself closer to the scene as he ignored the wind. When the radio was answered with an unfamiliar voice that possessed a threatening demeanor, the lieutenant found himself running faster.
Those within his unit were important to him and naturally they had families they deserved to return home to. The lieutenant was quick, weaving through the cities streets with a trained caution as he moved. From basic deductions, Emmet could conclude that an Assembly member was wreaking havoc on the members of his unit; his comrades. That was when his eyes caught the long, purple of a woman and noticed the cowering scout. The demons stepped increased in speed when he heard the woman's threats and noticed her preparation to attack the innocent man. As Emmet approached, the darkness formed around his arms in the usual large weaponized forms that he preferred for close-combat. The pointed edged with various flaring points reaching up his arm, making it wider the higher it went. Quickly, the lieutenant placed himself between the attack and the frightened scout, blocking the attack with the freshly formed creation and squandering the woman's chance.
A glance was taken towards the scout, the man's eyes wide as he gazed towards the lieutenant. There were no words exchanged, the demon already certain that his comrade was aware that this warranted his chance of escape. The colours that graced Emmet's uniform alongside the pair of red stars that displayed his rank made the concept obvious. Despite the mild weariness from the sprint towards the destination, the lieutenant managed to keep his expression void of tiredness, although, his breaths remained deeper as he stood between the enemy and the scout; acting as a shield.
"My apologies, but I'm afraid that delivery was cancelled," Emmet stated, a smirk crossing his face.
Exhilaration began entering his mind since after hours of grueling paperwork a battle was craved. The lieutenant always preferred field work over hours of reading and writing, which already caused the adrenaline to start pumping into his veins over the concept.
There was nothing that she hated more than being interrupted by somebody else, other than the fact they had caused her ice knife to break. It wouldn't matter if that person happened to be important when it came to ranks. The man who stood before her wore the uniform of TRS, but he had red stars, proving to be a lieutenant. She knew that symbol all to well, it not being the first time having to deal with a lieutenant and it wouldn't likely be the last time either. Though this lieutenant seemed much more brave than the last one she had encountered, throwing himself in front of her attack, did he have a death wish or something? Maybe he hadn't yet realized that she was the popular Ice Queen, she would be quick to introduce herself to him. She remained quiet, watching as the lieutenant had glanced towards the scout.
She frowned when the scout took his chance to escape from the scene, if he thought it was over, he had another thing coming. When Emmerson made his comment, she didn't say anything, choosing to listen to his words before laughing. "Delayed." She answered before a serious face expression appeared on her face, "But never cancelled." She would deal with him first, than she would search out that scout and kill him too. "Interrupting my fun is rude." She created more water in her hand before freezing it into the shape of knife before trying to slash him with it. "Clearly you don't know who I am, but you'll be quick to realize your mistake in meeting me, Lieutenant." She promised, determined to take him down one way or another. After a few minutes of failed slashing attempts she defrosts the knife back into water, allowing it to fall on the ground between them in an attempt to make the ground slippery for him to stand on.
Bravery was a commonly associated trait with Emmet considering his willingness to recklessly protect his allies. The actions taken to defend the scout proved the lieutenant's rash attitude, especially towards the thrilling battle scenes since getting involved in the adrenaline pumping fights were always a craving for him. There was the sound of boots hitting pavement as the scout retreated from the danger while the demon's eyes remained locked on the woman. Her faced contained vague familiarity, almost as though he witnessed the face somewhere, but Emmet could not place where. Appearance wise, the woman definitely maintained an attractive look which was something the lieutenant had no plans on admitting out loud.
The laughter that erupted from the stranger's lips followed by a threat caused Emmet's eyes to narrow as his protective instincts entered overdrive as allowing the woman to escape was completely off the table. The slightest hints of a chuckle flowed from the lieutenant's mouth while he smirked at the woman, his enemy currently. This exchange of remarks prior to the battle was interesting and flared Emmet's craving for a fight. Several hours of being cooped in the boredom inducing walls of his office with only paperwork to occupy his mind made him excited for something that would get his blood pumping.
"Hmm, nope I remember specifically seeing that order sheet and declining it," he answered. "Well, trying to murder a scout of my unit is rather rude, so I guess we are even. However, even with that being the case I can't allow you escape."
Confidence covered the lieutenant's words, making the faith in his fighting capabilities obvious without overstepping the boundary of conceited. A wariness was kept in the man's brilliant yellow eyes as he noticed the creation of freshly made ice daggers likely forged with the stranger's abilities. When the initial slash was given, Emmet blocked it again with the motive to remain between himself and where the direction the scout had ran. The smirk remained on his face while the woman spoke, marking herself as powerful with her language choice.
"No, no, no, I think you will be realizing the mistake you made in messing with members of my unit. I also don't take kindly to those who display a malicious behavior as you have been. Besides, I do not require a name to be aware you are the enemy," he responded.
When the slashing of the icy blades began, the lieutenant did a mixture of blocking and dodging the attacks. There was not a moment taken towards openly attacking his opponent yet as his yellow eyes attempted to analyze her fighting style. The moment the ice transformed to water, the hints of a confused expression entered the demon's face. He witnessed as the ground was given an icy coat, threatening to attempt to make him fall. That would be a problem should the terrain not be repaired to avoid a possible incident. For a moment, the dark constructs on Emmet's arms turned smaller in size until they disappeared as flames began spawning around the tall man's hands. They scattered towards the ground, growing as the lieutenant attempted to melt the ice and create a sturdier field for himself.
Christina wasn't happy, not only had this lieutenant interrupted her kill, he helped her victim escape from her clutches. After she gave her threat, she was surprised to hear him chuckle, accompanied by a smirk on his lips. Was he making fun of her? If he was, he better expect her to make him pay for it. Trying my ass..... besides interruption, I will finish what I started. She promised in her mind, determined to not let him stand in her way. She raised a brow when he said that he can't allow her to escape, laughing. "Aww, you think you can stop me. That is too cute." She answered with a grin on her face, having a hard time taking him seriously. She tried slashing him with her ice knife but he just kept blocking them. "I'll have to be sure to attack them much more often." She promised, defrosting her ice knife into water before causing the ground to freeze over.
He doesn't care to find out who I am since I'm just an enemy, hmmm? I'll make him eat his words. She decided to postpone her exit until she allowed it to sink in that she wasn't just some enemy of his, but so much more than that. She watched Emmerson using his power to create flames so that he can melt the ice, with a breath she withdrew a knife from her belt, freezing ice on the tip as if to make it longer before swinging it towards him. "Guess again." She corrected him, using her other hand to form water so that she can continue replacing the melted ice with fresh. If he thinks I'm going to let him off the hook, he has another thing coming. The only problem, no matter how much she tried, she just couldn't land a hit on him. This is proving harder than I thought. She wished a Terror was around to help her out, then a thought crossed her mind.
One is bound to be around here somewhere...... She pulled her arm back in, clearly uninterested in attacking Emmerson again with it before turning on her heels and running away from him. Now lets see, where had I seen that Terror from before?
Fighting was always craved after completing the fat stacks of paperwork, and Emmet was keen on receiving his wish. Confidence was held both in his abilities alongside the concept of receiving reinforcement due to the scout's fleeing. This woman claimed her fame in inquiring about the demon's knowledge of her identity, which meant this brawl was a matter of lasting longer or outright achieving victory. When the laugh followed by the comment was stated, the lieutenant presumed insincerity in the statement of being 'cute'. The compliment did not rattle him, especially upon hearing the notion of her attacking his unit more often. The tall man's yellow eyes narrowed, making is displeasure in the idea obvious in his countenance. The malicious intentions were fueling the requirement to capture this young woman and bring her to the TRS prison to limit her chances of hurting others.
"Sorry, but I can't allow you to do that," Emmet responded.
Moments where harming his teammates was mentioned always brought up memories of having to inform loved ones of the individual's death. The sympathy in loss motivated the desire to protect those around him and he was not going to allow this purple-haired woman the chance to inflict pain that pain. When the attacks began, the lieutenant found himself capable in avoiding being damaged himself, which was a positive sign. Naturally, this was difficult to maintain when Emmet was forced into transferring to his fire manipulation, since as the darkness constructs began reconstruction, the woman had swung at him. Quickly, the demon stepped back, but the icy tip managed to hit its mark, scoring a light hit across the shoulder to the edge of his arm. Blood oozed from the wound, but the hunter's enhanced endurance managed to get him through the burning pain. The sting continued faintly as dribbles of blood slowly rolled down from the nasty wound. The replaced ice gradually caused Emmet to stumble back, the demon getting rid of the darkness, his preferred manipulation, in favor of fire to keep the ice at bay.
Gradually, the fire transformed into a defense as it was used to consume the slippery surface and to hopefully keep his enemy away. The lieutenant was prepared for the continuation of the battle, only to witness his woman turn heel to leave. Instantly, the defensive flames dissipated as Emmet began giving chase with no intentions of granting the woman freedom. Not a word was uttered as he went after the woman, unaware of her plans to find a terror as an assistant.
"I hope you know I am not giving up easily! I tend to keep my promises," Emmet shouted after her.
Capturing this woman was top priority for the lieutenant and his determination fueled his stamina as he chased.
No apology would encourage forgiveness from her, she would just have to show Emmerson how determined she was to have her own way and no lieutenant was going to get in her way, not even this one. Of course her first option was to try and kill him but when that had failed she resorted to being reminded that the Terrors were on her side, meaning that if she found at least one, they could take him down one by one until he was dead and no longer in her way. Having slashed at his shoulder, she noticed the phantom pain though his defense didn't hint that it had even hurt him. I don't know what my problem is but I don't like this.... the sooner he is dead the sooner I can stop thinking about it. When she had turned heel to flee from him, she hadn't counted on him to make the comment even though she had expected him to follow. It wouldn't be any fun if he hadn't tried capturing her when he had promised to do so, though it would have saved her the trouble and energy in trying to find a Terror since it was only going to be used to kill him.
"I'm not giving you my phone number." Gives a random reply just to mess around with him before turning a corner. Why are there so many blasted people out here? She thought to herself, annoyed as she brushed passed them. She had glanced behind herself to see how well he kept up with her. Oh hell, forget it. I'm not even going to waste my time finding a Terror, but getting away from him is a top priority. She thought to herself as she turned another corner, yanking open a building door before entering it. Oh the benefit of stairs..... She thought to herself, somewhat annoyed as she pushed the door open and started running up the flight of stairs, her goal to make it to the roof. With the powers the lieutenant had, she really doubted he would have the power to fly, so as long s she could out run him, she wouldn't have any trouble getting away. Running up the stairs she pushed open the door and exited the building before turning around to freeze the door closed behind herself. That should give me a little bit of time to figure out how I'll go about getting away now. The other building wasn't too far away, of course she would wait for him to join her on the roof before even consider jumping to it.
Being involved in a chase of an Assembly of Phantoms member an unexpected route that Emmet's day would follow. Choices were becoming limited as the demon continued to pursue the stranger with attentions of capturing for the sake of his fellow TRS members. Allowing this woman's escape was bound to cause damages to the people who assisted in attempting to keep the citizens of Lorsette safe. Determination continued getting fueled as running steps progressed, the dark haired man managing to keep excellent pace while he followed. There had been numerous chases that the lieutenant had become involved in, resulting in Emmet finding himself capable in participating with this one. Citizen's were witnessing the display with eyes widening in surprise to the sudden running through the crowds, some already turning towards one another to provide menial gossip.
Despite the loud volume around him, Emmet still managed to hear what the woman he was pursuing spoke. There was a moment that the demon desired the stranger's phone number for tracking purposes, but also some mysterious feeling that lurked in the depths of his mind. A portion of him craved idle chatter with the mysterious AP member and perhaps a slowly transforming relationship which was a peculiar desire for the tall male. Shortly, the thoughts were pushed away as the lieutenant continued forward, trying to avoid the faint hint of red that painted onto his umbra coloured cheeks; still barely noticeable to the eye. Suddenly, the woman turned a corner where the clicking of a door being opened was heard, the demon narrowly witnessing the form escaping into a building. There was no time taken to analyse the building when he entered since the TRS hunter wanted to keep his yellow eyes fixated on his target.
Hastily, Emmet followed her up the flight of stairs, a slight weariness arriving from the sudden change of running upwards. Floor passed in blurs as the demon attempted to maintain his steely determination, his thoughts pondering those sorrowful faces from recent lose, the pained expressions of freshly injured members and those lonely grave sides; it kept him going. Eventually, he reached the highest floor, the roof, only to be greeted with a stuck door. The lieutenant was quick to figure out that the stranger had froze the door shut considering the abilities she displayed. With a deep breath, an intense flamed coated his hand as the demon grabbed the frosted doorknob to begin the ice melting process. The door was carefully consumed by flames to loosen it while attempting to not destroy the innocent door. The instant it appeared suitable, Emmet took a small distance back, his hand remaining on the knob while he rammed his shoulder into it.
Once he passed through the threshold, the demon found the AP member on the building's flat roof top. A glimmer of surprise marked his yellow eyes considering he had been certain that she would have left. The current situation appeared to lack escape for the stranger as Emmet straightened himself out and stared at her.
"Surrender now, there's no escape now," he stated with authority.
Naturally, there was always an escape, but the lieutenant had yet to place any thoughts into the concept and accidentally informing his enemy of that was definitely not happening.
Christina couldn't help but start feeling an extra desire of not wanting this chase to end, that was the reason why she had waited on the roof top, as if her jumping to the next roof ran the risk of Emmerson not following and the chase coming to an end. What the hell am I thinking? Of course I want to ditch him.... but I'm surprised and impressed by the fact that he is still following me around, he is attractive and I want to be around him just a little bit longer.... Christina get a hold of yourself, you are an Assembly of Phantoms member, he is apart of TRS a lieutenant as a matter of a fact.... I can't get this desire out of my head.... I'm having too much fun having him follow me around. She just couldn't understand herself right now, but if there was one thing she was certain about, he would capture her if she didn't bother moving. She may have waited on the roof top for him to join her, but she wasn't about to give up just yet. "There isn't?" She questioned before turning her back to him and leaping onto the next roof.
"Oh my... I have seemed to have gotten one." That smile on her face as she glanced back to look over at Emmerson before running across the building before leaping to the next one. It wasn't the first time I had to leap building to building and it won't be the last either. She thought to herself, peeking back to see if he had bothered giving chase as she continued running across the building before climbing down the fire escape ladder. Once her feet touched the balcony she moved to the window and smashed her arm against it, glass cut into the sleeve of her shirt but it was nothing compared to some of the other injures she had gained from her past. She made her way into the building, first to find the stairs to head back down so that she could be on the ground once more. I bet I lost him. She thought to herself as she noticed the stairs but then changed her mind and pushed the elevator button instead, she then noticed a couple exiting their room so she moved away from the elevator, waiting for them to get in before she rushed to their room and slipped inside, listening on the other side of the door for Emmerson.
Any possible escape route was ignored with prayers that this woman would merely surrender instead of risking anything. Unfortunately, Emmet was caught in a chase an individual that had no intentions to capitulate. When the Assembly member suddenly jumped off the building, the demon flinched as he rushed towards the location they had been. Extensive chases were never enjoyable to the lieutenant, but it certainty beat paperwork and this stranger had threatened his unit. The amount of determination Emmet had was increasing as he hesitated near the building's edge, peering towards the woman who had discovered her escape. With a grumble of dissatisfaction, the demon took a few small steps back before taking a run and jumping. He leaped through the air, his yellow eyes already witnessing as the purple-haired stranger continued forward across the roof tops.
Hastily, the lieutenant followed while attempting to maintain balance and sturdiness while he leaped across the rooftops. These types of chases were a rarity for the demon to participate in, resulting in the slightest hints of hesitation in his movements to reassure himself he would not meet the unforgiving group. Uncertainty was written across his steps and body language while he continued following, his eyes flitting between his feet and the Assembly member ahead of him. The distance was increasing slightly as Emmet slowly adjusted to the rooftop running, but his confidence remained low. During a glance down, the woman disappeared from view which caused the lieutenant to pause in a moment of distress. The location the stranger had gone was made obvious by the sound of smashing glass which was accompanied by a peculiar phantom pain that touched his skin. A moment was taken to gently touch his arm, his hand meeting unscathed flesh and clothing.
Once the action was completed, the lieutenant quickly returned to moving, pausing only to place down at the balcony. A few shattered pieces of glass littered the area, which made it an obvious entry route. With haste in his movements, Emmet climbed down the fire escape and onto the balcony. Carefully, he entered before rushing into the building in search of his quarry. When the demon found himself inside the building, his yellow eyes carefully glanced around the area in curiosity as he carefully walked around the floor. The activated elevator caught his attention, causing a grimace to mark the lieutenant's face as he looked about. Instead of taking the stairs, the lieutenant decided to search for a window to watch the woman's exit and perhaps attempt to catch up when a direction was given. The concept resulted in Emmet walking towards the nearest door hastily, trying the doorknob with intentions of opening to the to spare a glance outside.
Christina had heard a slight noise but she thought that it was possible that Emmerson hadn't come in yet, seeing as it didn't sound like the person was headed down the stairs but to a room in her direction. She had taken a slight breath, knowing she might have to make a run for it but she had to know, had to know if he was the person in the hallway or if it was somebody else so she made the choice. Slowly she turned the handle to the door and opened it, flinching slightly to how close Emmerson was to the door before rushing to slam the door. Was he guessing or did he know I went in here? Wait, there is no way in hell that he could have known that which means.... oh hell forget it. I don't have time to try and figure out how he knew to come to this door... She knew that door wouldn't hold him forever so she had made the call to move across the room and towards the window.
She didn't have time to unlock it and open it up, so she created ice and threw it towards the window so that it would shatter, running through the glass and back onto the balcony. There is only one way to ditch him at this point and that is to flat out, out run him. She grabbed the rail to the balcony, pulling herself onto the other side as she lowered herself before grabbing onto the balcony floor. I have to time this just right.... I only have a second. With a breath, she let go, feeling the balcony rail of the next floor had hurt but she refused to lose her grip, once more lowering herself to prepare for another drop. She let go, landing onto the ground. She looked to her right and left, knowing if Emmerson hadn't followed her down as he likely found other means to get to the ground floor that he would choose to come from either one of those directions, leaving her only the choice of going forward to avoid running into him. There was a noise coming from in front of her, it sounded like a Terror fighting somebody but she wouldn't know for sure until she rounded the corner to see them.
A small smile was formed on her face as she created ice to block the hunter's attack from hitting the Terror. Of course her thrill was lived short when the hunter had lifted the radio to his lips to report the purple hair woman was standing in front of them. Oh great, if I had lost him before I will have to put up with him being nearby now.... not that I had much of a head star in the first place. She thought to herself annoyed, but not yet ready to leave.
Carefully, Emmet's hand reached towards the golden coloured doorknob only for the door to suddenly open. It forced the lieutenant back a few steps as the wooden gate to the room bumped into him. The experience was painless, momentarily disorienting the demon as he stumbled backwards. Hastily, he recovered his focus long enough to notice the purple-haired Assembly woman through the door's threshold. Immediately, the door was shut, the click of a lock sounding while Emmet began to run back towards the door. The doorknob was tested before the demon attempted throwing his shoulder into it, but it did not seem keen on budging. Crossing through the threshold was impossible now, which resulted in Emmet testing the neighboring door, watching it open easily and appear empty. Quickly, he ran towards the balcony to witness the woman's escape plan which caused him to flinch.
The dexterity felt too far above him to accomplish the incredible action, thus the demon fetched a while stick of chalk from his TRS coat pocket. He knelled on the balcony, running the chalk into a circle before swiftly drawing the various designed detained in the border. Once the summoning circle was completed, it was activated, bringing force a pair of black crows. A glance was taken below while the crows perched on the balcony rail, prepared to listen to his commands. Once his yellow eyes found a clear visual of the enemy, he pointed.
"Follow that woman with the purple hair. Make certain not to lose track of her and I will down in a moment to follow," Emmet commanded.
Afterwards, the crows flapped their black wings, propelling themselves into the air in order to follow from above while Emmet improvised a method down. The room was left behind, the lieutenant returning to the hallway as he made towards the stairs. A hasty effort was made towards descending the stairs, the demon running the risk of possible stumbling to skip over a few. Fortunately, the stairwell remained empty as the buildings patrons opted to take the elevator over the exhausting work required of stairs. Once he successfully got to the ground floor, he proceeded to run out the front doors, nearly bumping into people planning on entering; a hastily made apology was given. The sounds of the radio sparking to life was heard, a statement of the purple-haired woman being near someone caused the lieutenant to hurry. His yellow eyes scanned the skies, noticing the crows circling the area in the distance.
Quickly, Emmet began running towards the direction with determination to finally capture this Assembly woman as soon as possible. As he drew closer, he noticed the terror, the hunter and his quarry. Instantly, an array of sharp objects made of darkness was shot towards the terror in hopes of slowing the creature; or at least eliminating it as a problem. Despite his body feeling mildly tired from the immense amount of running, the lieutenant stood tall and prepared to fight.
Christina hadn't noticed the crows following after her but the hunter had radioed in that he saw her and she couldn't help but feel slightly frustrated that it wouldn't be long before she would see that lieutenant again. She looked up at the sky and noticed the crows just above her head. I see.... a summoning spell.... She thought to herself, "Kill the Crows." She told the Terror who started attacking the Crows just above them. As for the hunter, he would be hers, but before she created ice to attack him, sharp objects that were made of darkness had been shot towards the Terror. I don't think so. She created water in her hand, moving in front of the Terror, forcing her water to freeze into ice as she moved her hand in front of her to work as a shield between them.
The easier target would be the hunter, but that lieutenant just won't give up this chase. It is time for him to learn the mistake that he has put himself in. She created more ice knives and threw them towards the hunter that had radioed in, creating more as she tossed some towards Emmerson. "Kill the lieutenant, once he is dead we can kill the hunter." If they didn't deal with this lieutenant now, he would become a bigger problem for them later. The Terror made progress to attack Emmerson.
As Emmet drew closer towards the scene, he noticed the attacks aimed towards the crows created by his summoning. They fluttered, gawking loudly when the circle was disrupted and they forced to attempt aerial dodging, although, the attempt was short lived when the summoned creatures became victims of the vicious terror. A grimaced crossed the lieutenant's face, his determination heightening from witnessing the sight. The darkness attack launched towards the terror failed, Emmet's projectiles being stopped by a wall of ice. Once the distance was closed, the demon ceased and waited, his yellow eyes flitting around. There were two enemies now, a terror and the woman from the Assembly who easily stood beside the beast. The black constructs commonly used for combat situations were summoned around the lieutenants arms as he stood.
When the commands from the woman began, the lieutenant tenses, backpedaling a couple of steps for room. They desired to kill him, stating that afterwards they could accomplish murdering a comrade. Knives of ice were launched his way, Emmet using the constructs to block a majority of them, a few managing to nick him while they passed. Thin scratches were left on his arms and the demon was satisfied with the injuries not reaching high lengths severe.
"Well, guess you won't be killing that hunter since I don't have any plans of dying soon," the lieutenant responded.
The initial attack from the terror was blocked, Emmet using his capabilities in darkness to defend himself from the monstrous creature. This situation was gradually turning more troublesome, but the lieutenant had been a hunter for years. A confidence remained glimmering in his yellow eyes as he prepared to a possible extensive battle in order to maintain the safety of his comrade.
Christina had felt a phantom pain, only that of a nick on her arms. What is this? She was pulled from her thoughts when she heard Emmerson's comment. "I don't know of anybody who plans to die, it doesn't change anything." She withdrew her knife from her waist, with her other hand she created water, throwing it towards the ground near their feet. "Everybody has a weakness, Lieutenant, I seem to have found yours." Of course if you wanted to kill a bigger target, she would have to use his weakness against him and it seemed to her that his weakness was that of his fellow hunters, it was too bad that she'd personality kill them herself. The Terror had attacked Emmerson but it had been blocked. Damn, I should have moved in to attack his fellow hunter while he was busy. She held out her hand, creating ice on the ground with the sole purpose of making it easier to try and split Emmerson from his fellow hunter.
I said that I'd kill him first but I want to see him defend the attack that I'm supposedly aiming at his fellow hunter instead. I mean look at that guy, he looks too frightened to go up against me, it is laughable. She prepared herself to attack the fellow hunter, knowing that if Emmerson cared about him as much as he appeared to care, he'd likely get in the way of it. The Terror moved in to attack Emmerson again, she took this chance to move in closer to the fellow TRS hunter with her knife in hand finding that had left himself wide open. If you weren't going to bother helping your Lieutenant, you should have fled while you had the chance. Unless I'm right and you are a good weakness because than you'll be useful after all. Useful to me that is.
