Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff
season
Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
Maybe red's like roses? Maybe it's the pool of blood The innocents will lay in When in the end you've failed to save them?

WHEN IT FALLS,

the clock behind the register echoes in the empty store. sitting in her usual hiding spot, imogen flipped through her book slowly. it was interesting, if you count the amount of gore the author needlessly explains. instead of resting the book, she kept her eyes on them.
due to the cold weather, everyone was staying inside their homes -- those brave souls outside, have mercy on their souls. some people need bring the bacon home for the family and others still need to get money for their own purpose of whatever they desire.

again the clock passes by. time always pushing all things by. taking in a deep breath, she closed her book and turned her head a bit. "amaryllis, i think we can close the store for now, don't you think?"
Amaryllis loved the flower shop. It was quiet and serene among the flowers, and she was progressively learning how to name each of them without Aigokeros’ help. While it was well within her abilities alongside the celestial body to grow and know them, there was something far more attractive about helping them grow naturally. ”It’s not altogether natural with me here either, sweet girl.” Hydrokhoos cooed, privy to all of Amaryllis’ thoughts so long as she left the gate opened. They were good friends, stable companions despite the girl’s various relationships with all the others. She chuckled in her mind, pausing in her humming as she manipulated the water from a nearby bucket to lightly water the various flowers there. Most of the time, the blue-haired dancer lived within her own mind with the voices she conjured there–it could, quite frankly, be overwhelming at times. ”You know what I meant, Aquarius”, using the being’s casual name in a way only a friend would. Amaryllis continued to hum softly, twirling down the rows of pots and foliage. She didn’t dance ballet much anymore in any real sense, but her history with the art was blatant in the way she lifted up onto the balls of her feet with an unrivaled steadiness, drawing water to the flowers as she passed them. Amaryllis jolted slightly at Imogen’s voice, stopping her little dance and standing with both feet flat on the ground as she looked back at her employer. ”Oh.” she breathed softly, casting a glance out the windowed door. It was getting dark, as it always did early in the winter evenings. ”I suppose so. I guess it does seem kind of empty out there,” she commented, peering around a metal stand of flowers to get a better view of the empty streets.
