Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
The cold air, the stirring of what once was fall now and gone. The snow falls gently on the ground and people crowd around areas where they can chatter endlessly. This... this nostalgic feeling in the air.
I miss you, three words that crossed her mind every few moments of loneliness. She leaned on a bench, looking out into the night. Where are you now? You probably forgot about me already. If only I could see you again, you know?
That angel, she didn't fall and for all Imogen could remember, she probably hated her by now. A cold gust of wind blew gently, her hair swaying. Glancing at her watch, she sighed a bit. "Barely even ten, at least the store's closed for today."
Pushing herself up, she walked in whatever direction she could. It wasn't too long until she felt something tug her bag. She was lost in a moment before shouting angrily out, "HEY! STOP RIGHT THERE!"
Angel was enjoying the crisp air as the night went on. They were also enjoying the starry sky with very few clouds to speak of. Nights light this were absolutely breathtaking and they wouldn't want to change it for the world. Well, except maybe seeing their sister again, even if they knew where she was by now. In any case, a good walk was what they needed and they decided to take the chance to relax some.
They walked through the streets, not really caring if anyone else was watching them or giving them odd looks because of the one wing they had out. They were used to it now, though they were ready to send people a glare if they stared too long. But no one did and the park was fairly quiet. They let out a soft sigh as they stuffed their hands into their pockets. Nothing could break the peace they were feeling right now.
...Well, except someone screaming. They immediately stood at attention and made a beeline for the source. It seemed as though a lady was getting mugged. Face becoming stern, they used their wing to give them a boost as they ran towards both people. "Hold it right there!" they said as they went up to the thief. They were going to make sure that this thief would go empty handed. Good thing they new how to fight from being a field medic and all.
The thief kept on running, and running was the best option they had -- two people were after him at this point. Imogen grew upset as she ran after them, her keys! Her keys to the shop was in there! Mother did not raise a stupid girl. Imogen felt her body grow tired as she kept on running, it was not too long until she stopped -- catching her breath as she watched the person run. I can summon a monster right now to get him, right now...
"Damn it, hey!" she called over to the person with the one wing. "Please catch him, those contents in there... they're really valuable to me."
She was exhausted from the running, her lungs and throat on fire from the thought of running again. She could still see the thief running further away from her. "Damn it, if only I wasn't so out of shape, this wouldn't have happened."
Once more she called over to the person, walking slowly, trying not to collapse on her own two feet. "Don't let them get away either, I have a surprise for them that they will likely enjoy."
The two of them ran after the thief as fast as they could, but it was clear that the person the thief had stolen from was too out of shape. Soon enough, she stopped while they kept on going. "Don't worry, I'll catch him," they said quickly as they ran past her, occasionally using her wing to boost herself and go after the thief. It was the least they could do, even if it wasn't aa terror attack or part of her duties.
They ran after the thief, their training within the TRS paying off as they got closer. They had a lot of stamina, luckily, even before they had the training. The races with their sister had helped after all, apparently. But they didn't think that, instead they just focused on running. They would probably had to corner him, if only-!
Then they remembered something. Eyeing the road in front of them, they instantly teleported in front of the thief, a few feet away. They had forgotten they had that ability, having rarely used it. Now was a good a time as ever. They ran full speed, intending on tackling the thief to the ground. "Now, give that back!"
If she wasn't so old, she would have had the burst of energy to actually move forward. To go about her days like any youthful person. However, she wasn't training herself anymore. Why would she? She was no longer an angel from heaven at all. I guess I can train just for a little while...
Watching such a youthful person run by her, she considered on going back to train her body again. Maybe after I deal with things with the store... and myself. After all, there was someone she needed to forget once more.
---
The thief laughed triumphantly, losing the woman with long black hair. So close! They just needed to go a little more further than the park. And as all chases go, it had to come to an end.
Before reaching, they felt someone push them against their back causing both to fall down. "F*ck!" the thief shouted angrily, turning their head to see the person who did it.
"This is mine! Get the f*ck away from me! That lady was lyin' the whole time to you." They were panicking now. Cornered, or rather, below someone.
