Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
Easy to find what's wrong, harder to find what's right.
The reaper had made his way to the location of where he had learned his other old friend resided. Of course he had told his adopted son and familiar about this trip he was taking and had gained some useful information from Sei before he had left. He was prepared to summon a creature to come to his aid when he felt the time was right to do so. He had on his tattered cloak to conceal himself for the most part as he moved through AP territory to where the castle lay in wait for his arrival. He was silent with his steps but he knew his presence would be found out soon enough as he got closer to the castle itself. For the most part his trip was uneventful which was fine for the most part due to how he just wanted to get to his old friend's home. Now, the real trick would be him getting let in easily enough. That he was sure would not happen.
Almost as if on cue the reaper paused in walking as an arrow whizzed by to his left, having moved to the right a couple of seconds before the arrow had arrived. His head turned to looked towards the arrow that was embedded in the ground for a moment before he turned towards the castle once more and began walking again as if nothing had just happened. A shout to halt and state his business was given to him but he ignored it as he held a hand palm up under his cloak, focusing on summoning two birds before he allowed it to fly forth from his cloak, only to be struck down by duo arrows probably much to the archer's surprise. Closer he went to the castle before he was eventually met by a redhead hurrying to confront him.
Sven was silent as he slowly came to a stop, waiting for the man to approach him. He made no noise as he evaded the attacks from the redhead, practically dancing around him for a few minutes before he eventually grabbed him by his arm and kicked one leg out from under him in one swift, fluid motion. Just a brief moment after that he raised the man's hand to his chest and proceeded to break his thumb as he shoved his hand forward, thus making a 90 degree angle with the redhead's wrist before he moved it to the other side of his chest. After that he placed his forearm, just three inches above his elbow really, and shoved it down onto the man's elbow until he heard a loud snap followed by a curdling scream of pain from the redhead whose arm he just broke. Perhaps he'd break his leg too. Of course the screaming alone was probably enough to alert the other guards that were stationed at the castle.
He glanced down at the redhead's body, hooded head tilting to the side a little as he took notice of a dagger. Now that would come in handy it seemed. He pulled it out and twisted the man's unbroken arm behind his back as he pushed him in front of himself, tip of the blade pressed lightly against the man's jugular. The blade wasn't quite breaking the skin yet but he wouldn't be afraid to cause the man to bleed out excessively with just a brief movement from himself. The man in his grasp was certainly helpless now, and if he knew any better then he'd not fight back against him lest he wished to die rather quickly. The reaper began moving forward as he kept the redhead's arm pinned behind his back and the blade to his throat, ready to make his next move.
Burn on I'm shining so bright There's fire deep in my soul I'ma rise up like the legends of old
The hellhound had been on guard duty per usual, his bow slung over his shoulder as he made his rounds. A few hours had passed out of complete nothingness when he eventually spotted some cloaked figure walking towards the castle. What the fuck? He grumbled as he pulled his bow out from over his shoulder and notched an arrow in it, aiming towards the potential intruder before letting it fire away. Loki blinked a couple of times as the person had...had dodged his arrow. How the fuck?! The redhead frowned as he quickly notched two arrows that time, aiming towards the intruder as they began walking once more. "Halt and state your business here!" He shouted out to the intruder, to which he was completely ignored. Well, that just wouldn't do. He released the arrows an let the fly... WHERE THE FUCK HAD THOSE BIRDS COME FROM?! The hellhound stared for a few moments just dumbfounded by how the intruder had managed to dodge three of his arrows. He growled and tossed his bow and quiver of arrows down to the ground, grabbing his radio as he made his way to the gate of the castle to confront the trespasser.
"I need some backup at the front gate! There is an intruder who is keen on not stating their reason for coming and has dodged three consecutive arrows fired at them!" He shouted into the radio to all of the other guards who had one on them. To those who knew him, he was practically a sharpshooter when it came to archery and for someone to dodge three of his arrows was...troubling. Once the gate was opened he hurried over to stop the intruder from coming any closer. However, his plans for that were dashed as his attacks to stop the person were evaded and he was caught off guard, to which his arm was swiftly broken. All of it seemed to just happen far too quickly, to which a curdling scream of pain escaped him as...well, it was pretty damn rare for him to break something other than a sweat.
He released another pained noise as his other arm was pinned rather roughly behind his back, his dagger having been stolen from where he kept it and the sharpened blade pointed right at his jugular. How the fuck did this person know where to place...no, more like what the fuck was this person? He managed out a small growl as he was forced forward by the person holding him hostage at the moment, no doubt towards those who answered his radio call.
Holden was pleased with how today had gone, first following Noah around while maintaining his duties as head guard. It was soon evening and he had left Noah to attend to other matters prior to going to eat dinner. It was during this time that he had heard from the radio about needing some assistance by the front gate. "I'll be right there." He radioed in, knowing Noah likely would be interested in knowing who was out there. He started jogging down the halls before making his way outside, other guards were following suit because they knew he tended to take charge of the situation when he left Noah to go assist out front. Besides there was a slight chance Noah would go too, which meant more motive in going outside to see who was out there. It was when he saw it, Loki's arm being broken by Sven who wore a cloaked figure that he didn't recognize the scent of. It was orders, for any intruder to wait to be allowed inside unless they were on the guest list and this person was for sure not on it.
Angry fueled him when Loki had been injured for doing his own job, determined as ever to get revenge for his fellow guard, whom he viewed as his friend. He watched as Sven stole Loki's dagger before placing it against his throat, holding his other arm behind his back so that he had better control over his hostage. The other guards had showed up as planned, preparing to attack but he raised his hand signaling for them to not take action. "Hand over Loki, right now. Stranger." He warned, not desiring to see Loki be harmed in the matter. "If you refuse, I'll be forced to take action." He threatened, adjusting to withdraw his sword from his sheath. Goal one, get Loki away from him before he has a chance to kill him. Goal two, kick his ass for harming my friend. Goal three, escort him from the property at once, by killing is an option. He thought to himself, waiting to see what Sven planned to do.
Easy to find what's wrong, harder to find what's right.
The reaper was silent still as the person before them demanded he hand over the redhead he had hostage. So his name was Loki...that didn't matter. However, he also didn't really bat an eye at the threat either. He had been through far more and seen worse to just be stopped here. He tightened his grip on the guard's arm he had twisted behind the redhead's back as he scanned his hidden gaze over the person who had intercepted him. Hm, so a fight might be in order. Not that he was really surprised by that anyway, he figured he'd end up fighting in some degree when he came here. He pulled the dagger away from the man's jugular slowly, making sure the other's eyes were on the blade before he moved to break the man's leg in yet another swift motion before shoving him towards the other.
A perfect distraction no less as the redhead screamed yet again in pain from the break and was then sent towards the young looking man. Sven took that time to dart forward before dropping to the ground to sweep a leg against the man's ankles to knock him off his feet at least, his free hand reaching out to grab the man's ponytail. He pushed himself up onto one knee at least as something blocked his hand from grabbing onto the ponytail. No matter, he pushed himself up more to stand, taking a few steps back as he readjusted the dagger in his hand as he just stood there waiting to strike next. He knew he could attack again but he'd be nice and just wait for the man to make his next move. At least until he was able to see his old friend and actually reveal who he was to him.
Holden watched as Sven slowly moved the dagger away from Loki's thread before swiftly breaking his leg before suddenly shoving Loki towards him. He released the halt of his sword to catch Loki, unprepared for Sven who was darting towards them before tripping him. He created a shield just as he landed on his back with Loki of top of him with the hope of breaking his fall. It was a good thing too, having noticed that Sven had appeared to reach for the back of his head. It wasn't confirmed if he was aiming for his hair or a head injury but neither was an option. Sven seemed to move into a standing position before taking a few steps away from them. "It will be okay." He whispered towards Loki when finally the other guards showed up.
Great, I didn't want the assistance but I get it anyway... He thought to himself, having wanted to deal with Sven without the extra help, of course he did appreciate them coming by because the sooner Loki was taken to a healer, the sooner they'd be able to continue where they left off, with him kicking Sven's ass. Somewhere in the mess of this all, another scent had come into his nose and he sighed because he knew Noah was here, outside, seeing Loki on top of him. God only knows how Noah felt about this last time, even though Loki was injured. I wanted to deal with this intruder myself.... He felt a great need to pout, still determined to beat Noah to Sven, until the unexpected happened.

cleanse me with those shadows, take me into the dark where I belong, show me my vile black heart.
[attr="class","aodmain"] The early spring morning initially started peacefully as Noah wandered the halls of his castle home. On this day, he wore nothing particularly spectacular, mostly a simple long-sleeved, white shirt with the sleeves rolled up just above the elbows and a pair of black trousers. Wrapped around his waist was the belt which held his katana, the long blade sticking closely to the wraith's side no matter where he ventured. Combat boots covered his feet, resulting in some assuming their king would venture to the courtyard for some training.
[break][break]
After the incident related to Loki nearly persuading Holden into a fling, Noah neglected to gather himself a favourable amount of flings. Through the evenings, he spent them in lonesome or teleported to his head guard's room and ask for a snuggle buddy. Hence, Noah decided he would distract himself with some well-needed training to maintained some sharpened skills. He walked through the hallways, boots clicking on the tiled floors. Every person he passed was greeted with a nod while they responded by saying 'Hello, my king' and various other greetings.
[break][break]
Unfortunate, things shifted as he crossed the large mouth of the castle doors where an uproar was occurring. The king raised a brow as he exited his home, descending the steps and hurrying over. A guard stopped the king, prompting him to glance over before he could cross through the outer wall.
[break][break]
"My king, I do not advise heading out. An intruder is near the outer and I recommend you return inside for your safety. Holden is already handling the situation and we have other guards on the-" The guard would be inevitably cut off by the soldier of a king.
[break][break]
"Silence. With the uproar, I think it is best I intervene. I'm not somebody who needs to be shoved away and protected," Noah insisted.
[break][break]
The soft ring of his katana being drawn reached his ears. Before the guard could place the effort into stopping him, Noah sprinted towards the nearest shadow and jumped through. From there, he reappeared on the opposite side of the outer wall where the altercation was occurring. The scene laid out on the other side was despised by the wraith to see the least. The intruder stood patiently outside a shield created by Holden, meanwhile, Loki was being held by the head guard... Loki, the guard who managed to accomplish some questionable actions with Holden.
[break][break]
Temporarily, the situation would be ignored as Noah pointed his sword towards the intruder. A stern glare landed on his expression as his eyes narrowed.
[break][break]
"What is your business here?" Noah asked the man.
[break][break]
The stranger's face was obscured by a hood, the glimmering blade of a dagger in his hand. The Assembly soldier tensed when the man's hand reached up, grabbing the fringe of the hood to reveal... a familiar face. Eyes widened as the silver-eyed man recognized the person hidden inside the cloak. Astonishment broke to a friendly smile.
[break][break]
"Everyone can put their weapon's down," Noah commanded. "Our unexpected guest is welcomed here.
[break][break]
The katana was promptly sheathed in response to recognizing the silver-haired man. Sven Kenji was a man who fought alongside him throughout the War of Traitors. For two-hundred years the pair worked in tandem with another man, Myson Hammerstein, who Noah discovered a disdain for when the Assembly of Phantoms and Terror Response Syndicate entered their war. After the announcements, a portion of the guards were quick to sheath their weapons, however, watched with well-trained eyes. Despite the declaration of friendship, their priority was to assure Noah's safety.
Easy to find what's wrong, harder to find what's right.
Sven had continued to stay where he was as he observed the other man hold the redhead, ignoring the other guards rushing over completely. He still held the redhead's dagger in his hand when another man had come to the scene. Ah, just the man he was looking for. He was silent still as the man questioned his business being here, to which Sven raised his free hand to grab the fringe of his hood to pull it back and reveal who he was. Brief amusement crossed the reaper's eyes as he saw the reaction that was given by the man that he had been searching for. At the command to put down their weapons and that he was welcomed, Sven turned his gaze back towards the duo on the ground before he, with a quick flick of his wrist, sent the dagger he had stolen racing towards the ground. The blade pierced the ground as the handle stood up in the air, wavering slightly from the force of the impact.
Sven walked around the duo on the ground as he approached the man by the name of Noah Sullivan, stopping before him as he gave him a small nod. Though before he said anything he raised a hand and gave the man's head a smack upside it, not even blinking at the reaction of the guards who had seen such an action against their king. "It has been too long, Sullivan. And it seems someone has to remind you of your place." He spoke up, clapping the same hand on the man's shoulder as he gave it a firm, but friendly, squeeze. "We have much to talk about." He spoke, his face emotionless but his words did hold hints of friendliness to them towards the man.
He turned his head a little to turn his attention towards the redhead and the other guard that had also confronted him, tilting his head to the side slightly. "It seems you'll be a man down for a bit. Though no matter, it seems like you have more than enough to keep this place mostly secured." Whether or not he meant other people than him would remain up for debate though. He hadn't even been trying at all when he attacked the redhead, in fact he had held back a bit since his intention was only to see the man who ruled this place. He turned his silver gaze back over to Noah once more, gesturing towards the castle with a free hand as his other hand remained on the man's shoulder. "Care to let me in?"
Holden couldn't help but feel annoyed when he had noticed Noah arrive to the scene. He listened as Noah asked his question, noticing when Sven had removed the fringe of his hood to show Noah who he was. He noticed the reaction between the both of them and couldn't help but feel annoyed. Though there was a chance this would be another of Noah's fling buddies, a guard was injured to protect Noah and yet it seemed to him, nothing would be done against Sven for attacking in the first place when he knew Loki only gave warning shots. It was how he was instructed to handle intruders after all. Noah gave the order for the guards to put their weapons down, he wouldn't change the orders, however he would add his own to them in due time. Sven tossed the dagger in his direction, missing because his shield was still up. He watched as Sven walked around him and approached Noah, eyes went wide when he watched his hand go up and smack Noah on the back side of the head, having felt it as if it were him whom Sven had done it too. The guards had flinched, he had flinched, but he knew he'd handle this one way or another.
He found himself fuming over the situation of Loki needing treatment. This guy had walked right past him, ignoring the fact that he was still here, in charge. Noah may have been king but he was still his head guard and he'd be damned if anything ever happened to his king. Sven was looking towards him, he lowered the shield, waving the other guards over to take Loki back inside to see a healer before slowly standing up to grab the dagger from the ground. One might think he planned on giving it back to Loki, but he had a better spot in mind for the tip. "Everybody, go about your business. Our King has told you to lay your weapons down." He answered, watching for them to go. It was around this time that Sven had asked Noah if he would care to let him in. This was when he took aim and tossed the dagger towards Sven's back, attempting to stab him with it. This is for attacking my guard! This is for allowing him to get away with it my King. He thought to himself, furious that Noah was going to allow Sven in when he hadn't even added him to the guest list.

cleanse me with those shadows, take me into the dark where I belong, show me my vile black heart.
[attr="class","aodmain"] A calmness settled upon Noah’s shoulders when he witnessed the face of his old friend. The War of Traitors was a brutal time, but the navy-haired man managed to create friendships through the times of battle. Around those times, they were people attempting to survive a gruesome and frightful situation of enemies wishing to kill them. Their bond was cemented through those dire circumstances, gaining power because of their grim surroundings. Yet, when the War of Traitors closed, they all separated to take their respective paths.
[break][break]
There was a soft smile playing across Noah's lips as he witnessed his silver-haired friend approach him. Few things changed about the friend he missed for years. The dagger was discarded and "returned" to the Loki as Sven approached him. Each step brought his friend closer, the strides carrying him forward. The silence between them at the time prompted Noah to lift his eyebrow slightly. When the distance was closed, Sven nodded before lifting his hand to smack him upside the head... The action was bold and caused Noah to flinch from the slight pain.
[break][break]
Immediately, the guards tensed meanwhile Noah reached up to rub the back of his head. An annoyed expression touched the wraith's face as he rolled his eyes at Sven. The tone became slightly friendlier after a few moments as the silver-haired man's hand clamped onto his shoulder. The annoyance slowly shifted into a soft smile as Sven mentioned it had been a while. A slight chuckle left his mouth.
[break][break]
"I argue you should learn yours," he stated with a subtle hint of teasing. "This is my castle after all."
[break][break]
Only moments later did Holden organize the guards, Loki being handed over to receive medical attention. As Sven mentioned being a guard down, the king frowned and provided a nod. Then finally things shifted to entering the large castle home which belonged to the infamous Dark King.
[break][break]
"Of course, we need to catch up," Noah said with a slight grin.
[break][break]
The navy-haired man turned to lead Sven through the gated walls. Guards from above flipped their switches, prompting the grand walls to squeal open. Behind them was Holden, the head guard Noah entrusted with protecting his home and life. The wraith glanced back, watching as the young familiar retrieved the dagger... and threw it towards Sven. Enhanced speed activated hastily as Noah drew his sword and knocked the dagger away, making it clatter to the ground. A glare settled onto the wraith's brow, the hand holding his sword tightening.
[break][break]
"What the hell are you doing, Holden?!" Noah inquired with authority.
[break][break]
Guards were expected to obey the orders of their king... and in this situation, Holden raised a weapon when told to drop them. There was slight anger pulsing through Noah's veins, however, he refused to allow it voice for the time being.
Easy to find what's wrong, harder to find what's right.
Sven gave his old friend a nod of acknowledgement at his response on the two of them catching up, waiting for the man to signal for the walls to squeal open as the guards were setting off to go about their business. However, his head tilted when apparently the guard that had come at him after the redhead had tried to...throw a dagger at his back? He turned to face the other man as Noah spoke up, his silver eyes training on the guard that was called Holden. Oh, now this was interesting. His face remained expressionless as he stood there, not seeming the least bit offended or threatened as he stared at the man before he eventually turned his attention over to his old friend.
"If I am to be allowed access here I would say that two more are to be accepted as well." He mentioned to him as if nothing had just happened. He reached under his cloak and pulled out a phone, raising his other hand with his palm facing towards the 'Dark King' to keep him from reacting just yet. "I have them waiting a safe distance. I came alone fist to ensure it was safe enough for them as well." He explained in a low voice, his silver gaze raising from his phone in his hand to look towards Noah. "They will give no harm so long as they are not provoked."
Holden had waited for the perfect moment to throw the dagger towards Sven's back even though Noah had looked back to see him pick up the dagger. He thought the shock might be too much and that he'd land a hit but instead Noah had used enhanced speed and had blocked the dagger with the edge of his sword. Sven was looking at him now, face expressionless as he stared back at him. He found himself glaring at Noah when he heard the suddened shout as if he had done something wrong even though Noah had in fact welcomed Sven in with open arms. "MY JOB AS HEAD GUARD!" He snapped, clearly angry that Noah had failed to noticed how upset he felt over the fact Loki had been injured. He would feel this way if any of his guards was injured but Noah didn't need to know this fact. Sven mentioned how if he were allowed here, two more should be accepted as well and he found himself glaring at Sven. First he invaded their property and now he was making himself at home and he couldn't help but believe Noah would approve of such things just by how he had acted earlier, allowing his own guard to be harmed without telling Sven what he had done as wrong.
"Is that so?" He'd asked Sven, anger in his voice, clearly displeased with the idea of anymore people coming unless Noah himself permitted it. "That is for our King to decide, not you!" He snapped, moving sideways before fetching the dagger that had been hit into the ground. I'll save this for later. He thought to himself, still holding it in his hand as he looked back towards Noah, already believing he had an idea of what Noah would say to Sven about two more people coming as well. When Sven had reached for something under his cloak, he had reached for his radio and withdrew it. "From now on, that guest list is to be up to date and will be delivered to me personally. The only ones checking for others being allowed on here is myself. Do I make myself clear?" He asked in the radio, using this chance to hopefully embarrass Noah, since it was his fault for not having that guest list updated in the first place. He'd then place the radio back on his belt, knowing that the guards would give him the list, since he had ordered it.
Seeing as one guard had already been injured, it seemed only fair to respect the wishes of the head guard, since he wasn't doing anything against, Noah's wishes, surely. Of course they also didn't want to get involved with Noah's favorite guard either. Sven spoke about how the other two would give no harm unless provoked and found himself fuming anymore. "Is that how you justify harming one of my guards! A warning shot provoking you?! You're not welcome here, my King, send him on his way!" He looked between the two of them, knowing that Noah wouldn't likely listen to his words, he was King after all. How dare you have the nerve to talk to me like that when you hurt Loki. I know he didn't attack you and only gave warning shots. He asked for backup, he'd never attack unless he was first.... And you intruded, without an invite without stating your business. He thought to himself, glancing between Noah and Sven once more. So who was it going to be, Sven.... or him?

[attr="class","aodmain"] Displeasure covered Noah's face as he watched Holden, clearly disapproving of the actions taken by the familiar. Randomly, Holden decided to fetch the dagger from the ground and attack Sven. The "protocols" accomplished by the purple-haired man endangered somebody the wraith appreciated. Throughout the War of Traitors, Noah survived with the assistance of his friends, therefore, a mutual understanding grew between them. Difficult times were survived thanks to their partnership and from the fires of water a friendship forged.
[break][break]
Alas, it appeared his head guard was jeopardizing the good sentiments created through a grisly war. There was a genuine belief that Sven perished, leaving the infamous Dark King alone on his throne. The familiar's expression spoke volumes about his attitude towards the situation. The regularly calm and somewhat playful demeanour of Holden was a boiling over pot of anger. Those emotions were demonstrated when abruptly, the long-haired familiar snapped at his master with the statement of accomplishing his job.
[break][break]
The wraith's silver eyes narrowed as he locked gazes with Holden, disappointment on his face. The young man usually avoided acting out in his vexation, alas, it appeared the rage overtook him. The king would be unable to excuse these behaviours considering the exhibited attitude was unprofessional.
[break][break]
"I told everyone to lower their weapons," Noah firmly responded, hints of growling anger in his undertones.
[break][break]
Moments later his attention returned to Sven as the silver-haired man stated he brought two other people to the castle. The wraith nodded at his close friend, hand reaching for his radio to explain the situation, however, another outburst occurred. Anger brimmed Holden's voice as he made his displeasure clear, going lengths to mention how the choice landed on the Dark King's shoulders. The Assembly soldier narrowed his eyes, attempting to mute Holden's rage-induced comments.
[break][break]
"Just as it is for your king to decide if guards lower their weapons," Noah mumbled in annoyance. "Sven's friends are accepted here, they will be allowed through the gate as far as I am concerned, Holden."
[break][break]
Irritation edged Noah's voice as he spoke, attempting to hold back his temptations to snap at his head guard. Their unprofessional exchange would proceed as Holden grabbed his radio and created an unapproved rule. The Dark King clutched his radio tightly, eyes fixating on the long-haired familiar. Words were further exchanged, Holden taking another moment to snap at Sven without warning. Silver eyes fixated on the familiar as Noah stared, disappointed in his actions.
[break][break]
"YOU'RE OFF DUTY FOR THE REST OF THE DAY, UNDERSTOOD?!" Noah snapped back before toning it down slightly. "I had no clue Sven would be coming and you have no right to treat our guests in an unprofessional manner! Radio a guard to take your duties for today and report early tomorrow, UNDERSTOOD?!"
[break][break]
Untamed fury entered Noah's words as he glared at his familiar and chastised the exhibited attitude. Afterwards, the Dark king raised the radio to his lips and clicked the button on the side.
[break][break]
"Two more people associated with Sven will be approaching the castle, do not fire. They will come to the front gate and be processed inside," Noah explained to the guard, remnants of annoyance evident.
[break][break]
Through the radio static a round of 'Yes my king' echoed as guards confirmed they received the message. Once completed, the radio was returned to Noah's belt for safekeeping. The wraith remained stationed at the gate, deciding to wait for Sven's companions to join them.
Easy to find what's wrong, harder to find what's right.
The Reaper was silent as he observed the exchange between his old friend and the supposed head guard. At the comment directed towards him from the guard, Sven remained emotionless as he settled his piercing gaze onto him. However, he chose to remain silent as he allowed Noah to speak to Holden once more, phone in hand as he was just patiently waiting for the heated moment to settle. Though at the provoking comment he tilted his chin up slightly as he kept his eyes trained on the guard. He parted his lips slightly as if he were to speak, though after a brief moment closed them and turned his attention over to his old friend, not seeing the need to bother himself with correcting the guard. A brow raised just slightly, barely noticeable really, as the man snapped at the guard. Impressive.
He raised a hand and placed it on his friend's shoulder, squeezing it slightly before he withdrew it. "The two are my familiar and a boy I've adopted as my son." He informed him in a low voice, glancing down at his phone to contact his familiar that it would be safe to approach. After that was done he raised his gaze to look towards Noah once more, silent before he turned his attention over to the other man. "You will not touch either of them in your rage from my actions. Else I'll see to it that I collect your soul before your time is up." He spoke out, tone cold and piercing just like his eyes.
Afterwards he turned his attention once more back over to Noah, his hands hiding beneath his cloak once more. "The boy likes to wander, are there any dangerous locations within the safety of your walls? He may try to visit those to...read." He mentioned to him, his words did show concern yet at the same time they still lack emotion for the most part. At least he had come to care about the two closest to him after all those years.
Holden listened to Noah's words but didn't agree with them. Does he care for nobody but himself? Allowing this to just slide just because he wasn't on the guest list. He noticed Sven but ignored him, business would happen with Noah first. He couldn't help but feel anger as Noah yelled at him, informing him that he was off duty for the rest of the day. "My king." He answered again, forcing himself to remain calm as he spoke back. "You told me that I'm off duty, therefore, you should be finding yourself a guard to replace me for the evening." He answered before lifting the radio to his lips, "Seeing as I'm off duty, your in charge." He answered, refusing to give a name in front of Noah and Sven. Of course Noah likely could guess who would be up, but Sven wouldn't and that was perfect by him. He was about to inform Noah that he was leaving, but before he got a chance to do so, Sven had commented a threat back with him in return. "YOU'LL HAVE TO KILL ME FIRST AND NOAH ALREADY GRANTED PERMISSION FOR THEM TO ENTER, SO AS LONG AS I GET AN UPDATED LIST YOU GOT NO PROBLEMS.... HOWEVER, SHOULD HE FORGET, I'LL GLADLY KICK YOUR ASS FOR THE ATTACK ON MY FELLOW GUARD." He snapped back, clearly upset that he was off duty just because he was doing his job and Noah was the one in the wrong here.
Before anybody would get a chance to further speak with him, he turned away from Noah, making sure Life360 was turned off before shifting into his panther form, running off. Since he was off duty, he could go where ever the hell he pleased and he didn't want to run into the other two guests, so he made sure to take a different route as means of avoiding them at all costs. I don't care if he notices I turned it off. I don't care if he is upset with me. I don't care if he tries replacing me as his familiar. I'll fight for that title and die before giving it up. He thought to himself, having settled on a place for the day. He'd shift back into his human form, turning the radio off, having forgotten to do it earlier, knowing when the list was updated he'd get it through his cell phone.

cleanse me with those shadows, take me into the dark where I belong, show me my vile black heart.
[attr="class","aodmain"] Upset emotions existed between Noah and Holden similar to a sea of dastardly black clouds preparing for a brutal thunderstorm. Neither party was pleased with the results of the interaction, therefore, things would easily transform into a negative situation. The wraith's eyes remained locked on his familiar, the displeasure overt as his stern, silver eyes watched him. Disappointment clouded the king's eyes, he expected better behaviour from the champion of those tournaments, but on several occasions today, Holden disrespected his king.
[break][break]
The punishment for those actions was set with him being taken off duty for the remainder of the day. Considering how seriously Holden took his occupation, the consequence seemed befitting. Furthermore, having a guard openly display negative behaviours towards a guest could result in dire circumstances returning to haunt them. Diplomacy was imperative, especially of an Assembly of Phantoms captain who always required recruits. While Sven was considered a friend, Noah wanted everybody within the castle to show respect.

A calm answer was provided in response to Noah's order, prompting a glare to settle on his brow before being proceeded by an eye roll.
[break][break]
"Very well," Noah mumbled in a grumpy tone.
[break][break]
Before he could radio for a guard to inform the guard's of further company, the wraith's attention shifted to Sven as the man explained who his companions were. Surprise flickered in Noah's eyes when Sven stated he had a son, however, he avoided questioning it. As natural as it came, threats were thrown as his silver-haired friend displayed a protectiveness of his companions, something a majority would. Moments later did Holden start shouting, the wraith's fists balling, nails digging into his palms with vexation.
[break][break]
"QUIET! There will be no arguing, understood?!" Noah snapped.
[break][break]
Alas, the damage was accomplished and Noah watched as Holden stomped off in anger. The wraith genuinely believed he did nothing wrong... HOW WAS HE SUPPOSED TO KNOW SOMEBODY HE THOUGHT DEAD WAS COMING?! HOW WAS SVEN SUPPOSED TO KNOW THOSE WERE WARNING SHOTS?! It irritated him to have people expect omnipotent foresight from a king attempting his best to run a castle. He was merely a man but hefted upon his shoulders were seemingly the requirements only achievable by gods. From Noah's perspective, Holden expected him to read minds and predict the future without error despite lacking those abilities.
[break][break]
Was trying his best not fucking good enough?! Not good enough to warrant him a civilized conversation in private rather than the spouting of needless threats?! The irritation was accompanied by a sorrow, for his actions undoubtedly resulted in the lost of a snuggle buddy. An annoyed, yet, saddened sigh escaped the navy-haired man's lips as he turned towards Sven.
[break][break]
"Sorry about that," Noah mumbled, listening to Sven's question. "We have an armoury, dungeon and sparing grounds if that provides you an idea. And of course a kitchen. Now if you excuse me a moment, I will inform the guards of the other company arriving."
[break][break]
There was a subtle weakness to Noah's tone as he provided Sven with the answers he desired. He never enjoyed punishing his guards, however, the ugly situation required ending. Slowly, the wraith walked away, leaving his friend near the main gate while he entered the tower and ascended the stairs. He would inform the guards of Sven's company.

[ This is my last reply here, I just wanted to send it off with Noah's reaction at least. Khae can give Sven's reaction if she would like to. ]
