Infuriated by the placement decision, Nathan's fists immediately clenched as his eyes narrowed at the piece of paper which determined his TRS unit. Only a single unit was hastily despised by the vampire, unit one's lieutenant inspiring that hatred. Mere days ago Lieutenant Orville Redenbacher proved to be a complete asshole, even criticizing his deceased brother who he idolized because of his sacrifice. His older brother was a hero, saving him from untimely death to give his own life as payment to Thanatos. Despite the unfortunate circumstances, Nathan knew he needed to succeed in training and become a hunter to give back after Donovan generously sacrificed his life. He was unaware of the lieutenant's presence and how amused he was, however, he would eventually make his presence known. Footsteps echoed through the hallway, Nathan continuing to glare at the pinned up paper as though his nasty scowl could potential persuade the ink to shift and change. He knew the horrible lieutenant was attempting to force him to leave, however, the vampire would not allow him to win this duel. The dreaded footsteps reached Nathan's ears as he immediately turned on a dime to stare at the loathsome lieutenant.

"Bastard! You got me placed in your fucking unit!" Nathan snapped.

The proof was nonexistent, but considering the man's obnoxious behaviour when he signed up for recruitment, he quickly assumed. This sadistic old man evidently enjoyed bullying him with abrasive comments, thus he held every reason to believe the dastardly lieutenant pulled strings to have Nathan placed in his unit. Eyes narrowed at the comments leaving Orville's lips as he stated he could turn around and go home or have his boundaries pushed to their lips.

"I'M NOT LEAVING, FUCK FACE!" He screamed, adding profanity because of his intense anger.

Cussing occurred naturally when Nathan was infuriated, almost as though those extra swears would magically help the situation. In reality, it kept his fists from flying and allowed him to stand in front of the lieutenant, motionless and preparing for the mental assault. Those few curse words kept him tamed, especially since the vampire still desired to punch this elderly idiot for those words he stated days prior.

He countered in return, being harsh as to try and encourage Nathan to quit already. "Then take acceptance in any unit with pride." He answered him in return, still staring down at him. As to prove he wouldn't accept profanity in his presence he added, "GIVE ME TWENTY." He couldn't help but feel somewhat amused being able to say that, plus it meant he held authority here whether anybody else liked it or not. If Nathan refused it would only fuel his motive in getting him kicked from TRS. If he did the push up's, he'd only grow to understand the benefit of helping with his undesired stress and other undesired emotions that came with having him here. I'm sorry Nathan, but I'm not going to stop trying to encourage you to leave. He thought to himself, though at the same time he felt pride at how stubborn Nathan was currently being towards him. "There isn't anything wrong with being in unit one, now is there?" He repeated, daring for Nathan to either agree or counter him. Tactfully, the lieutenant he despised successfully convinced the higher-ups to have him placed in unit one. Authority allowed Lieutenant Orville Redenbacher to force Nathan into an ill-favourable position. The hot-headed vampire struggled to contain the desire to enter a violent rage because of the bastard’s loathsome attitude. Hatred developed easily towards this man, each word pouring gasoline on the flames of anger. If the old man was not his lieutenant, Nathan would undoubtedly punch him as hard as possible. He listened to those words, fists tightening as nails dug deep into flesh, threatening to puncture because of the intensity. He knew training to become a hunter would be difficult, but Nathan would never allow some arrogant asshole of a lieutenant block him from his goal. There were multiple objectives now, avenge his fallen loved ones and prove to the lieutenant his determination would prevail. Nobody would get between him and that long-standing dream. The vampire’s eyes remained narrowed as the man spoke, a growl escaping his lips until finally provided a command.

As an apprentice in unit one, he was expected to obey the commands of Lieutenant Orville Redenbacher. Therefore, Nathan immediately dropped to the ground, ignoring his anger and proceeded to accomplish twenty push-ups. Smoothly, his muscles operated, allowing him to lift and lower his body weight with little difficulty until all twenty push-ups were done. Afterwards, he rose, anger slightly dissipated as he glared at the old bastard. The vampire paused at the inquiry, shutting his eyes, taking a deep breath and later slowly exhaling.

Despite how extremely he loathed the lieutenant, he nonetheless was required to respect him as an authority figure. Unfortunately, he would be forced beneath the overbearing weight of expectations. He was an apprentice assigned to the first unit, and begrudgingly under Orville’s control.

Nathan might think he had done it to make his life a living hell but despite it being true for the sake of getting him to quit, he also wanted to keep a closer eye on him as to make sure that he would be safe. He would sacrifice everything to keep his brother safe, including his fake alias Orville Redenbacher to do it. It wouldn't matter what Nathan would think if that day came, only that he wouldn't fail to keep him safe. A vow he told himself when he came back as a wraith in the first place. He would be lying if he claimed that he wasn't pleased over Nathan following orders, now if only he'd listen to their parents half the time, that would be nice. Plus it meant that Nathan's anger would dissipate, even if it was just for a little bit. He looked at Nathan when given the answer to his question, quite surprised by the sudden change of attitude, though he knew very well that it was only for show. "As promised, your going to graduate as a TRS hunter. Do you understand me, newbie?" He asked, having a moment of forgetting which side he was supposed to be on at the current moment. Aww damn it, I sounded like I accepted him in already. He thought to himself before adding, "Else I'll work you extra hard until you make it or break." He added, thinking it could have come out so much better. I should have a speech, written out each time I talk to him. I'll figure it out later. Respect your elders was a commonly stated phrase, however, Nathan could barely display any shreds of respect for the old lieutenant. Authority was abused by Orville Redenbacher, especially with the arrogant manner he flaunted how his personality allowed him to survive. The heartless manner he criticized Donovan, the man who sacrificed his life for others, really angered Nathan. He admired his older brother's bravery, appreciating when he defended him, assuring the younger vampire would survive the abhorrent situation. His brother was protective, obviously willing to do anything to keep him safe. Commands were merely obeyed because of the man's rank, otherwise, he would have gladly entered a physical altercation and explain ready. Anger remained despite the pushups, however, more tameable because of the physical activity. Unfortunately, attitude problems were required to be ditched in desperate hope he could graduate without the lieutenant attempting to get him kicked out. The following statement surprised Nathan, his eyes widening and infuriation dissipating as his body relaxed. He promised him to graduate, which was odd considering the lieutenant's attitude.

Naturally, it was followed by a comment which made Nathan glare sharply at Orville. A growl escaped his lips, but he kept himself calm in the situation.

Jabs at Nathan's sleeping schedule made his glare narrow further. He believed the lieutenant thought similar to the teenage stereotype, he slept in for hours. While the notion was correct, the vampire was proving he was capable of being awake earlier. This day, he set several alarms to assure he would wake and arrived at a reasonable time. He decided he would complete the hunter program, thus, he was determined. The vampire growled and instead looked away, attempting to ignore the obnoxious lieutenant and find where his first class would be.

He was curious on how long it would take for him to find it, though he remained silent the whole time. As soon as Nathan found his first class, he would turn away and head back down the hall. I need to figure out how to get him to quit and fast. He thought to himself, only caring about the well being of his brother and of course his safety. Being in TRS was great and all but he didn't want Nathan risking his life when his only motivate was his brother being dead. Well he didn't want Nathan risking his life in general but it was too late to admit he was alive.
