Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
“Are you alright?” Evelyn asked, and when Alida faced the redhead she could see a curious puzzlement that had taken over her features. Although, the last thing she wanted to do was draw attention to the issue and, thankfully, Evelyn seemed to think one and the very same as she turned to open the door and allow them both to head out of the cafe.
Alida’s gaze warily slid across the faces of the other species that passed by them to enter the cafe or head further down the sidewalk, although made a point not to keep eye contact. Honestly, she had no idea what had happened or why. A little white fox also sat in the window of the cafe, perched in between two flowerbeds, its tail swaying playfully back and forth, but aside from a brief glance, Alida didn’t think anything of the creature.
“So which store were you thinking?” Evelyn questioned her after the brief moment of silence that had stretched between them, and Alida took it upon herself to pick up her pace in order to step in beside the human-looking female. It was probably just as stupid of her to be so trusting of the random redhead she had met at the cafe. For all she knew, she could have been working with someone and this was all an elaborate plan of some kind…
Banishing the thoughts with a shake of her head, Alida drew one of her hands through her long blond hair and began to look around. “Uh, let’s see…,” She murmured as she took in the stores on the block. “This is the one, right here.” It just so happened to be only two stores down from the Crescent Moon cafe, which caused Alida to grin as she stepped forward and this time held the door open for her “friend”.
She supposed she did secretly wish for the best, as it was kind of neat being able to hang out with someone else. “And yeah, I’m alright,” She belatedly answered as she stepped into the clothing shop after Evelyn. “I was just… wondering what happened, I guess. Or why it had happened.” Her previous thoughts made her feel paranoid now that the girl would somehow get the impression she was “suspicious” of her. When, really, she was, uh, trying not to be. She was trying to be optimistic about the entire thing. Or stupid. Ignorant. Naive. Yeah, definitely naive.
Evelyn was silent as she waited for Alida to answer her question, opening the door for them to leave the cafe. She didn't notice Alida looking at the faces of the other species as she made her way outside. As they walked, she asked her question. Alida and picked up her pace so that they would be next to each other as she waited to hear which store they would be walking to. "Oh I see." She nodded her head as she walked towards the door, though Alida had beat her to it and held the door open for her. "Thank you." She whispered, walking inside, pausing near the door as she looked at the rack of clothes. She looked back towards Alida when her question from earlier had been answered. "That is good." She answered, slightly worried that maybe she hadn't been, but since Alida had said she was, she had no reason to press further on the issue. "It makes sense." She answered, stepping farther into the store.
"Hopefully you'll be able to find out." She answered, feeling calm, slowly moving towards a rack that happened to have some blouses on it, having somewhat gotten side tracked on their reason for being in here. She knew she needed to get a replace for her pants, but these blouses were just so cute.
“It makes sense. Hopefully you’ll be able to find out,” Evelyn said as the two stepped into the small clothing shop. Alida peered over at the red head for a brief moment, noticing how she had immediately gone to one of the clothing racks that held some shirts. Although Evelyn didn’t appear to be genuinely concerned over what had happened to her in the café, Alida was glad that the girl at least believed her. She could still recall the shock she had felt when Evelyn had admitted prior that she had thought she’d purposely thrown her drink on her.
“I’m not really sure how I can at this point,” She admitted and brought a hand through her hair as she made a bit of a face. But, just as quickly she brushed the subject aside, and the reality that she would never know, to move on in the conversation. “But, all right, here we are. We can get you in some new “borrowed” pants right away, no problem I think.”
She grinned and picked up a pair of slacks off a rack next to her. “What size are you?” She inquired in what could be considered an insensitive way, seeing as some women were uncomfortable with that subject.
Evelyn hadn't noticed Alida looking her way when she had gone over to one of the racks that held blouses, looking over the different styles. She listened as Alida commented to her prior comment, unsure of what to say, she remained silent instead. "Oh yeah, that is right." She answered, having forgot that she should focus on pants first. She heard Alida's question just as she noticed the slacks being held in her hands, "I..." She couldn't help but feel slightly embarrassed over the thought of having to admit her size. She looked closer at the size on the pants, "I think that is my size." She answered, unsure because she was that size last time anyway, it was possible with all of her running she had lost even more weight.
Of course there would be only one way to find out. "I can try it on so that we could find out?" She suggested in question, being guilty of doing that all the other times that she had gone shopping. It isn't everyday I'm asked my weight, not that I mind, I mean she is trying to help me get a new pair of pants... I'm so just embarrassed. She thought to herself, choosing to not admit it. "Also sorry about that, got side tracked at the blouses upon walking in." She apologized, they had one reason for being in here, to buy new pants, nothing more, nothing less. Slowly she would attempt to reach out to take the pants, having planned on going into the dressing room to try and it on.
“I…,” Evelyn sounded uncertain and it drew Alida’s gaze back to her, surprised to find her quinting over at the pants she had pulled off the shelf. “I think that’s my size.” Alida looked at her incredulously and then laughed for good measure, finding it pretty hilarious.
“Oh really?” She snorted, and laughed some more, but managed to calm herself back into a straight face by the time Evelyn suggested that she try them on to see. Realizing then that perhaps the girl actually didn’t know what her size was — which she found weird — she gave a nod of her head. Well, looking her over, Alida realized belatedly that the outfit she currently had on looked as though it had been worn down quite a long time ago.
M-Maybe she was really poor? And here she was laughing at her. Alida visibly cringed at the idea. Evelyn apologized about getting side-tracked on the fancy blouses right away, and Alida gave her a genuine smile in return.
“Uh, yeah, we can… totally get you one of those.” She offered awkwardly, now feeling this strange sense of guilt sweltering away in the pit of her stomach. Volos. “Y-Yeah! We’ll totally get you a nice outfit.” She rambled on and motioned for her to follow her to the changing room as they went.
Evelyn couldn't help but feel grateful that Alida was willing to help her out like this. They headed towards the dressing room and she slipped inside, trying on the pants before swapping back to her pair. She would then exit, "This is my size." She added cheerfully, glad to know it. I think my weight changed again. Credit to always running away from my parents and stealing, I suppose. She thought to herself as she smiled back towards Alida. "Are you sure? I really don't want to burden you with this." She answered, bringing up the conversation from before about Alida buying her a blouse. Though she didn't have the money for the new clothes, it was a nice gesture that Alida was doing for her but the last thing she wanted to do was appear needy.
