Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
how long ago was it that she felt so lost in this world again? after the heavens banished her, she felt nothing more than the hatred of all beings flooding her. the normality now was simply appalling. however, after living for so long she felt nothing could be worse than seeing the person she cared the most about appear before her. the long forgotten arm covered in bandages throbbed in pain whenever she thought of her. no matter how much she wanted to forget about the girl, there was no mistaking the aches in her heart.
to think that after living for so long, i would stop being a child. chasing after my own shadow all the time wanting to be forgiven for the sins i have committed. she knew fully well, too well that the one above would give her a chance. but, who prays anymore? all religious fanatics find their way into cults and sucked into a world far gone. how long ago was her fall?
while her mind faded to and from, the thought of her -- imogen looked through the aisle of books. her fingers gliding on each spine of books her eyes laid on. if only she was back at home, but, her selection of books were old. ancient to those humans who are around now. slightly turning her head, she spoke to the person next to her. "excuse me, what book would you recommend? any kind of book would be fine."
It was a cloudy, cold day which to Koyuki was a lucky change of pace from the hot, sunny weather that had been prevelant practically all summer. Since she wouldn't have to worry about the heat making her feel as if she would melt, the lich beast decided to go out before the sun set for once. She left her apartment near the outskirts of town and headed further into town. It'd been quite awhile since she last ventured out in the day. In fact, Koyuki couldn't even remember the last time she went out when the sun was still up. Nevertheless, she'd been given a rare opportunity and she didn't have work until much later so she'd take this chance and visit the library. She arrived just a couple hours after the library had opened for the day. Koyuki climbed the stone steps up to the two large doors and pushed both of them at the same time.
Once inside, she went to the fairy tales section and reached up to grab a book from the higher up shelves but unfortunately, the fox girl was a tad bit too short to reach it. As she continued to try and grab it, she heard a female voice that seemed to be addressing her, so she looked to her right to see a tall raven haired lady asking her politely what book she'd recommend. The lady was tall, this immediately made Koyuki's neutral expression turn sour. Of course, some tall person just had to be the one to call out to her. However, Koyuki wouldn't ignore the person outright but she wouldn't be all nice and polite either. Turning her own head to meet the woman's gaze, Koyuki replied, "I don't know, I'm busy trying to pick out books myself degozaru!" she said sharply to the woman before going back to reaching for the book she wanted. Going so far as to get on her tiptoes to give her more reach but it was to no avail. The book in question that the lich beast wanted was "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter".
