Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
Kayla's eyes fluttered a bit as some sun had just started to creep it's way into the room. After blinking a couple times she turned over to see her precious love next to her still fast asleep. She quietly leaned over and kissed her on the cheek before slowly getting out of the bed to not wake her. Once she did she crept her way into the hallway of the tiny house. Stopping for nothing and going right for the kitchen. "As a house wife it is my duty to make food in the morning after a great night." she said quietly but determined to make the best breakfast for Percy. She got to the kitchen as she instantly went right for the fridge to look inside and see what there was to work with.
She pulled out some eggs, bacon, and milk. As she went and grabbed some other things. Pancake mix, started the coffee, bowls to mix everything, and pans. As cracked a couple eggs over the measured amount of mix in a bowl and added some milk and started to whisk it all together. As she cracked a couple more eggs into a bowl and started to whisk as she kept checking on the bacon that started to sizzle and release an amazing smell. Despite Kayla being utterly useless in fighting, and pretty much anything else. She did make the best house wife... She moved the bacon onto a plate with some paper towels to get the exes grease off. Then cleared the pan and washed it as she poured the egg mix onto the pan and started to make scrambled eggs.
She grabbed another pan and started to heat that one, while making sure to mix the eggs around so they wouldn't burn. Once the pan got to heat. She poured amounts of the pancake mix and started to make pancakes. Once the eggs finished cooking. She put them on a plate. Then went right back to flip the couple of pancakes. Once they were done she put the two pancakes on the plate with the eggs, and moved a couple pieces of bacon onto the plate and set down on the table for Percy when she wakes up. As she continued to cook the rest of the mix and a couple eggs for herself. Persephone Rose
Silently, Persephone slumbered in the covers throughout the entire evening. Blankets embraced her warmly, quieting thoughts of unexpected guests and furthermore, she held her favourite teddy bear (Kayla) close. Body heat was shared, a natural ritual when occupying the same bed. The slumber could not be interrupted, the assassin weary after the strenuous labours of an evening’s work. Time passed gradually, a dreamless night passing through with blissful ease. There was no stirring from Persephone when her crush woke, escaping her loose grasp and planting a single kiss on her cheek before retreating silently into the house. Gradually, the sun continued leaking in through the slightly parted curtains. Light played across the room, banishing the shadows as it continued to invade.
Slowly, Persephone escaped the pleasant grasp of slumber, her eyes opening slightly. They were opened and closed at a snail’s pace as the nymph gained awareness to her surroundings. There were a few quiet moments spent analyzing, her steel coloured eyes hastily noticing Kayla's absence. A few moments were spent remaining still in bed, the enchanting scents of breakfast managing to drift towards her nostrils. They were familiar, even going lengths to make Persephone's mouth water over the concept of devouring a delicious breakfast created by her darling Kayla. Eventually, the nymph pushed herself into a sitting position, the blankets rolling down her short form while she rubbed her eyes. A yawn promptly escaped her mouth, her arms shortly being raised to stretch her body. She shifted in the bed, her feet soon dangling off the side while she reached for the pair of slippers beneath her nightstand. Once her feet were safely stored in the warmth of the slippers, the young nymph walked to exit the bedroom.
The stairs were descended slowly and quietly, Persephone weaving through the house in her usual soft-footed manner. As she grew closer to the kitchen, the marvellous scents became more powerful, compelling her forward. When she entered the kitchen, the nymph noticed the set table and Kayla preparing her own breakfast.
"Good morning," she mumbled before yawning.
Slowly, Persephone walked towards the chair before plopping down, her eyes staring at the delightful plate of food. A fork was fetched in her left hand while the right grabbed a knife. The hunger in her belly caused her to continue, her eyes sparing a moment to glance towards Kayla. With some control, she lowered the utensils, waiting for the nephilim to join her for breakfast.
Kayla finished making more food than needed. As she made a pretty big stack of pancakes for the two of them to eat, or save for later. Or for when Percy had really early morning she could just heat up those. Kayla really did think of everything for her special person. As she walked over with a plate of food and placed it next to Percy. But before going any further and eating. She leaned down and lifted Percy's shirt up a bit. As she started to inspect the wound she healed last night. "Hmm seems everything is still together. Seems like I didn't mess up my magic like last time." she said as the last time she healed Percy was a bit of a mess. She was really hurt and took all of her strength to repair the wound. But she only put skin over some of the wound which made Percy kind bleed internally. Luckily Kayla always checks her magic the next morning to make sure nothing is wrong. And luckily for Percy she checked that morning and repaired the rest. As Kayla reached out and placed a hand on her bare skin as she started to slide up and down where the wound was. "I did a good job this time hehe." As her gaze went from a more innocent one to a more mischievousness one.
As she then just started to feel Percy out and tickling her. And sliding her all the way up and down her torso. "YOU SHALL NOT GET RID OF ME THAT EASILY!" she said a stupid voice trying to have fun and show Percy that their talk last night had no real effect on the air head. As she slumped over and now was almost on top of her love as she kept trying to tickle the woman. Kayla never really let anything Percy did hurt her too much. She knew what she did for work. And worrying too much about it only made it worse when she was sitting alone until she came home. But deep down, Kayla really did care what Percy thought of her. She really did want to know and hear what Percy thought. But as for now, she will keep a hold of that little shard of doubt inside her and not let it affect her.
As Percy probably threw her off of her or just told her stop, she did. As she grabbed a fork and knife and started to chomp into her food. One bite after another of amazingly cooked food she made for her and her Percy. As she kept stuffing her face with the massive breakfast she prepared, some egg yolk started to drift down Kayla's face from her mouth like the little child she is. As she looked at Percy without noticing what was going on with the food dripping from her mouth. "How is the food?" she asked with a bit of a full mouth as she kept chewing then eventually swallowed. Persephone Rose
The delightful scents of a freshly made breakfast wafted from the plate and into Persephone's nose as she stared down at the plate of foods made to her preference. A subtle rumbling echoed from the nymph's stomach, last night's difficulties resulting in her never consuming supper for the evening. Saliva ruled her mouth, the assassin keeping her mouth tightly shut to avoid the unnecessary mess from the drool that desired to escape her closed lips. Resisting the urge to devour the entire plate was an onerous task for the hungry woman. Already, she could have imagined her father's voice echoing through whichever placed they had stayed the evening, lecturing her about skipping supper from exhaustion while demanding she did not touch the food before her until he was prepared to sit. It was good manners to wait for the other individuals at the table to be prepped to eat before wolfing down the meal.
Stacks of extra food was created, a common habit of the nephilim that Persephone had discovered over the course of several meal times. There was a benefit to the habit, as proven by early morning missions where the assassin hastily consumed her meals before getting her gear sorted. Forethought was given to the peculiar habit since it allowed both parties to function with a strange smoothness; almost as though they have precognition to what the other would accomplish. The nymph never questioned the action, merely considering a habit both parties had grown used to over the years. When Kayla placed her own plate on the table, Persephone began cutting into her food, her hunger making it difficult to resist the opportunity. The consumption of Kayla's food was difficult to resist, especially since the nephilim was adept with cooking.
There was a pause to the eating when Persephone suddenly felt her shirt get lifted, her eyes flitting towards her healer. The nymph stilled herself after a few moments, realizing that the nephilim wished to check over her wounds. A shiver transcended over Persephone when Kayla's hand ran along her skin. When it continued, the assassin squirmed in response, flashing a glare towards the nephilim.
"KAYLA!" She exclaimed.
The sensation of tickling made it difficult for the cold woman not to crack the slightest hint of a smile. A small giggle escaping her throat as she struggled more against her assailant, eventually managing to throw Kayla off. A pout crossed the nymph's face for a few moments before she fixated on the plate still filled with food. Promptly, Persephone began to devour the contents, attempting to keep a professional atmosphere to her eating while trying to wolf down the delectable food as hastily as possible. After a few moments, she heard the question from the nephilim while her mouth remained filled with the delightful breakfast. A hard swallow acted was done, the nymph pausing to make certain the food in her mouth was heading down while a slight pain entered her throat.
"Delicious, as usual," she responded neutrally.
Afterwards, she returned to consuming her breakfast, finally slowing the amount of food being shovelled into her mouth; best to avoid such pains after all.
Kayla looked at Percy as she ate, still memorized by her the one person that still hangs around her. Her parents ditched her long time ago and at this point Kayla didn't even care what happened to them. She had Percy and that was all she needed after. Even if Percy didn't feel the same way that she did for her. It would be fine because Kayla just relished the fact she gets to see all of Percy everyday.
Some syrup still dripping from Kayla's mouth as she kept stuffing her face with the food as Percy said it was good like usual. As she took a big gulp to swallow the food. "Well of course it's good. I'm the one that made it." she said with a triumph-it look...even though it probably didn't have much effect as the syrup was still dripping from her chin...
Once they were both finished eating, Kayla took both plates and went to the sink and started to wash them off and clean them. As she scrubbed every single little spec of as she put them on the drying rack. After that she went to the extra food she made and put them in a container and put them in the fridge in case Percy every needed to get up early and Kayla wasn't up to make something for her. She would at least be able to have breakfast with the left overs.
Once she finished cleaning the kitchen she looked at Percy. "So do you have work today..." she said in a bit of a shy and scared voice. She truly hated when she went to work. Kayla may be an air head but she understood what Percy did for work. But she wasn't one to complain about it. It kept them in this house and put food on the table. But there was always that thought in the back of her head that what if she never comes home one night.... Persephone Rose
Food continued to be consumed by the hungry assassin as she gleefully devoured the delights served to her. They were bursting with pleasant tastes, Persephone being forced to slow the rate of which she shovelled food into her mouth to avoid hiccups or worse aflictions. There were plenty of punishments for scarfing down food too quickly, thus the nymph tried to refrain from her earlier error. While she carefully consumed her food, the woman's steel eyes would occasionally flitting towards Kayla, where they would linger for a few moments. Silently, Persephone would spare a few moments to admire the nephilim. The sharp features of her beautiful face and the curves of her feminine body. There were times when the nymph believed Kayla to have a goddess-like appearance, even despite the syrup leaking from her mouth and dripping from her chin.
The triumphant countenance of the nephilim made Persephone smile briefly, the grin disappearing quickly for the usual cold expression. There was no need to motivate Kayla further by displaying a grin, especially since the nymph desired her lover to search for better. Unfortunately, the assassin found it difficult to fully support the notion on account of her own selfish desires. Secretly, she wanted to ask Kayla to be hers, to hold her close and whisper sweetness into her ears until the end of their days. The punishment was set for murdering the girl's parents to honour a contract, and that punishment was Persephone's denial of taking Kayla as her girlfriend. After a few moments, the short-haired woman finished her breakfast, the plates promptly gathered by the nephilim and placed in the sink to be cleaned. There was the sound of running water from the tap, the assassin reclining in the kitchen chair.
At the mentioning of work, Persephone provided a nod before answering. "Yeah, but it should be an easy job," she mumbled.
The mission consisted solely of disposing of an individual who had been searching for one of the other assassins, although, possessed no proof of the committed crimes. Considering the primary rule was 'innocent until proven guilty' it felt safer to murder the nosy person to avoid any future issues. After a few moments, Persephone stood from her seat, heading into the living room to grab the remote and turn on the TV. The channel was changed to the news, allowing her to hear about the body of her contract being found.
Kayla washed the dishes, being careful to not burn her hands with the running hot water. Only letting the scolding water run on her hands for moments to rinse the plate of the soap. As she set the two plates and the forks in the drying rack. As she promptly put the leftovers, which there was a lot of. enough to feed Percy breakfast for almost six days. This is was one of her redeeming qualities for sure. Being able to make food and a lot of it for her lover. So she wouldn't starve if she had to get up early. As Percy said she had work and Kayla didn't say anything or respond to that... She only gripped onto the food container she was putting in the fridge really tightly. Enough to make her knuckles go white.
As Percy went into the living room and turned on the t.v and switched the channel to the news. Which she usually did after she went out on a job which only made Kayla feel more and more insecure about her lover and the things that could happen to her out there when she was working. As she finished cleaning and walked into the living room as she stood in front of Percy and the t.v.
As she stood there, a couple of tears starting to form. As they kept going just enough for a couple to stream down her soft cheeks. As she looked at Percy. "Can you not go to work tonight. You just got home with an injury. I don't want anything to happen to you." she said with a sniffle as she wiped the tears away. She wasn't all out balling her eyes out like she was over reacting and trying to get attention... This was more of a real plea with real emotion not just over reaction and trying to get attention. This was genuine. As she looked at her love. "I don't want to be left alone... I already know my parents aren't coming home by this point. You all I have left now. I don't want to loose you." she kept sniffling. As a couple more tears fell from her eyes. As she kept blocking the t.v and looking at Percy. Persephone Rose
The news began with the usual opening ramblings before plunging into the script likely created over night from the recent assassination. Reporters were booming about the recent death, stating the police believed the cause was a homocide. Silently, Persephone watched as the recent case was discussed and people stated more evidence was still being gathered to try and capture the man's killer. The entire story followed the predicted route as the reporters explained the information they had, displayed photos of the victim prior to death to jog the memories of all people watching before pleading for anybody with information to phone the police department. In large text, the number displayed itself across the screen in an attempt to encourage people with information to call. The nymph was fortunately confident she kept the scene clean and avoided leaving significant evidence.
Quietly, Persephone proceeded to watch, allowing the news to continue the playing. The assassin remained unbeknownst to her crush's emotions as she casually watched the television. Should there be any breaking news, the criminal desired to track it for the purposes of knowing her next move; if needed, she would skip town. While Lorsette had proven to be a safe place on account of the massive amounts of criminal activity. Frequently, the nymph found other crimes would cover her owns as long as the patterns were similar to other types criminal used. There were multiple incidents where other criminals would be blamed for her horrendous crimes, allowing Persephone to slip quietly through the cracks. The subtle sounds of footsteps did not deter Persephone's fixation, the young assassin already assuming Kayla was entering the room. There was nobody else in the house and the nymph was certain she would have noticed another presence.
When Kayla questioned about her not going to work, Persephone raised a brow as she listened. Why would Kayla ask such a peculiar thing of her? Work was essential to allow the young nymph to gather money to allow them a decent life. The moment the nephilim stepped in front of the television did Persephone realized the weight her decision would hold on the young woman. Already, there were tears rolling down the blue-haired woman's face as she pleaded for the water nymph to stay home; she even proved to be aware of her parents never returning home. There was a momentary pause before a soft sigh escaped Persephone's lips, the nymph standing to wrap an arm around Kayla and hold her close; she could never stand to see her cry.
"There, there," she murmured softly, albiet, a bit cold. A soft sigh escaped her lips. "I'll see what I can do, but no promises, okay? This is short notice."
While work was essential to their survival, Persephone was hesitant to leave Kayla home alone while she was upset. She refused herself to adopt Kayla as a lover, but the nymph was determined to be there for the young woman until she discovered somebody better. It was the least she could do.
Kayla felt the warm embrace of her lover, as her arms wrapped around the blue haired girl. As she did to her. Squeezing pretty tight. As she nuzzled her head into the chest of the assassin. Not wanting to let go in the slightest. After all she didn't want Percy to get hurt anymore. Nor even be in danger. She wanted her to be safe. She was sick of waiting around or being woken up because she has to heal some type of wound that she had gotten out on the job. So Kayla was determined to not let her go.
When she said she would try and see if she didn't have to go. When she heard that lighting struck the house, tripping all the of circuits on the board causing the house to go black. Which wasn't bad all Percy had to do was flip them all back on but still. A few seconds after the lighting hit the house, a loud crack and boom thundered in the surrounding area, as the house shook a bit from the thunder. As Kayla pushed away from Percy. The blue haired girl not in control of her power was now angry. As she stared at Percy.
"No. You will still home. Or I will leave. I'm tired of you getting hurt. You are all I have left. I don't want to loose you. Do you understand that." she said with a pause as another thunder cracked and boomed outside their house. "Because sometimes I don't think you do.I'm always upset when you are hurt and I heal you all the time. But when morning comes you shrug my concerns off like they never happen and plan to go back to that damn job. I don't care of that's where we get out money from. I just want you. I don't want you to die." she yelled out into the empty dark room. As her fist were now clenched into a ball, more angry than ever. All the pent up stress, sadness, and frustration coming out now. Persephone Rose
Whenever a mission arrived, Persephone callously ignored the ramifications which arrived from her long absences in dangerous locations. There were objectives to accomplish with smooth efficiency to allow for their basic life to proceed without abrupt changes. These missions were accepted for years in the Rose family and during their travels across many places, thus the young nymph never noticed the error in her choices. Murder was heavily involved in the entirety of her life, the crime being oftentimes committed by her hands or those around her being forced to embrace the chilling arms of death. There would arrive a day where Persephone would potentially meet a similarly grisly fate, but those thoughts never bothered her; she was brave enough to acknowledge death arrived with her occupation. Unfortunately, this left plenty of reasons for her healer to become upset with her.
There were consequences for the actions of an assassin, but she rarely thought of the familial connections she harmed whenever she exited through the back door clad in black, weapons secured to each fraction of her body. The nymph held the nephilim tightly, attempting to soothe her before potentially leaving on her recent assignment. Booming sounds of thunder arrived suddenly, the assassin glancing towards the nearby window to notice the heavy rain and lighting skies; the signs of an upset nephilim. Immediately, the nymph's eyes flitted back towards her crush, noticing an unusual anger flare in Kayla's eyes as she screamed her frustrations about the assassin's ignorance. Throughout her complaints, thunder boomed, rain and wind battering their defenceless house from the sudden thunderstorm. When she finished, there was a pause as Persephone stared in shock at the blue-haired girl; could she really leave with Kayla this upset?
A soft sigh escaped her lips, the cold woman taking a step closer before looping an arm around Kayla. The other hand dexterously fetched the cell phone from her pocket, a number being swiftly dialled. On the second ring, the person picked up. There were no greetings.
"Take my job, okay? It pays good." A pause ensued as the person on the other side agreed, but questioned. "Something came up, now shut up and take it."
Without allowing a barrage of questions to proceed, the nymph pressed the red button on the touchscreen, ending the call. Afterwards, the phone was slid smoothly into her pocket, Persephone wrapping both arms around Kayla, holding the nephilim close. There was silence, the assassin enjoying every moment she could to just hold Kayla close; she wanted to reassure her crush everything would be alright.
Kayla felt the arms of her love wrap around her and tightly hold her. As her cheek was squished into the body of the lean woman holding her. As she took out a phone and called a person saying take the job and all that. Kayla looked up at Percy. Still a bit unsatisfied. She didn't really want Percy to go out all the time on that damn job. She was tired of staying up with restless thoughts of Percy never coming home. Or worse failing her love by not being able to treat her wounds one day. As her arms still at her side signalling that there was still something to be said by the blue haired girl and that the argument wasn't over yet.
Kayla pushed Percy away so she could breath for a second. As her blue eyes trained on the assassin. "There's one more thing." she paused as she clasped her hands together in front of her. Nervous and scared of what she was going to ask because she wouldn't know how Percy would take it. As she looked down at the floor. "Do you think you could get more of a normal job. I want to see you more. But also so you stop getting hurt. I don't like all the scars you have. They are painful reminders that maybe one night you won't come home. We haven't even had a meal together like this morning in months." she said, her sadness reaching deeper and deeper. Not her usual over reaction where waterfalls were pouring down her cheeks. Just pure sadness that pierced the light hearted nephillim. The poor girl has never really experienced this true sadness, not like this. Her love for the Nymph reaching depths she didn't even know of. Persephone Rose
Admittedly, Persephone thought pushing the job onto another individual would be satisfactory for Kayla; the pair could even spend the night cuddling. Oftentimes, providing the nephilim with attention soothed any upset tensions she held. Those were moments where even the nymph could enjoy considering they were the few times she warranted herself time to spend with the innocent young girl. There would be plenty of time to work hard and gain money before the time arrived to pay bills or purchase groceries. The assassin kept Kayla close, believing she would never turn down a hug, but concerned by the lack of movement in her arms. Under most circumstances, she imagined the nephilim would leap at the opportunity for a hug, but instead, she pushed her away. Immediately, Persephone's eyes widened as her grip was loosened and distance was created between them.
There was more the blue-haired beauty desired, the nymph raising a brow in surprise by the notion. Sorrow touched her crush's voice as she registered her next request. A flinch touched Persephone's face since after being an assassin for so long, the nymph knew to escape the chains which held her was difficult. Enlisting in a normal job could be a simple accomplishment considering there were plenty of basic jobs for somebody with high school education. Considering her extensive travels, she could easily become a travel agent and suggest places, but the problem was always the killing. Thick blood coated Persephone's hands and the brotherhood was familiar with her extensive list of crimes and could not allow an assassin to simply leave. Silently, the nymph took a step closer, grasping Kayla's shoulders with a firm squeeze.
"How about a compromise? I will get a normal job, but... I need to take a mission sometimes to make sure nobody comes after us, okay? The people I work with know all about my crimes and should I leave, they may try to kill either of us or possibly send me to jail. I can probably work something out with the leader, but I can't quit or else we're both in danger," Persephone explained quietly. "However, I can take easy jobs so you don't have to worry your little head about me, okay?"
The nymph prayed Kayla would agree to the compromise she provided considering the extreme dangers which arrived with quitting a group of assassins. They easily possessed the connection to kill both of them or to possibly get Persephone incarcerated for the numerous murders she committed.
Kayla looked at Percy when she started to explain that she couldn't just quit but had to keep the job. Kayla looked at her with a bit of sadness until she said she would find a normal job and only take easy jobs. Which Kayla pondered on for second. Was any job really easy for a group like the one she worked for? But either way, she explained she couldn't just quit or else they would be in trouble. Kayla's fist relaxed as she Percy grabbed her shoulders. She could live with that. All she wanted was for Percy to stop coming home all bloodied and hurt. And with this she would. Or so Kayla hoped. As she leaned forward and hugged Percy tightly. "Promise." she said as she looked up at her. Her blue eyes a bit shining from her earlier crying.
As she let go of Percy and walked to the couch and sat down, bringing her knees to her chin. As she rested her chin on her knees. "I love you." she said quietly with a bit of a grin. Thanking the dark haired woman for compromising to her selfish request, knowing full well that her job paid for everything. And knowing how much trouble she would have with a "normal" job. But despite that, Kayla only wished for Percy. For her safety, for her happiness...and for her in general to be with the blue haired girl. And this what she could think of with all of the sorrow and stress she held in knowing Percy didn't want to hear any of it.
Assassination was a risky occupation, and one nearly impossible to quit on account of the felons which arrived with it. Each death would be additional years should Persephone ever be caught and face sentencing by the courts. Accomplishing the occasional mission would be the best method to avoid the Dark Brotherhood possibly of them dropping hints or invading during the night to murder herself and Kayla. When it arrived at criminal actions in groups, there was a specific trade where both parties essentially revealed their crimes in favour of working together. There were plenty of people who knew the illegal doings of Persephone Rose, thus the dark-haired woman was required to display her loyalty to avoid facing punishment. While she hated worrying Kayla, there would be no cutting complete ties from the group she worked with.
There was an evident sheen to the nephilim's eyes from the earlier tears. The nymph stared for a few moments before softly touching the girl's face with her finger, wiping away the wet; she was too beautiful to have tears on her face.
"I will keep you safe," she murmured before allowing Kayla the opportunity to move.
The nymph watched as the beautiful girl walked towards the couch before sitting down on the couch, bringing her knees to her chest. The quietly whispered 'I love you' was detected, but Persephone pretended to accidentally not hear it; how she wished she could return those words. Perhaps in the future, if she learned to settle on her "normal" job, she could warrant herself the luxury of displaying affection to Kayla.
"Anyways, what do you want to do? If I'm not going out, we could do something today," Persephone offered.
There were times she needed to enjoy her time with Kayla, especially considering the young woman evidently felt her emotions were ignored. The least Persephone could do was spend some quality time with the nephilim to assist in making her feel better.
Kayla looked up at Percy as she squeezed her legs tighter into her chest. She shrugged at Percy's suggestion of doing something today. In her mind, she just wanted Percy to be around more. And now that she would be she didn't know what to do. It was odd, getting what she wanted out of anger instead of sadness. Her blood finally cooling off just a bit. She looked away for a second then back up at the beautiful form standing in front of her. "I don't know what I want to do." she said softly. Still a bit unsure of what she did, she outburst, was right.
As she sat there wondering if Percy was a bit mad at her for outbursting the way she did. As she just tightened her arms around her legs. "Are you mad." she said shyly like she was kid thinking she was in trouble. "Sorry." she added softly too. She was confused on why she even said those things. They were really mean and hurtful. She knows Percy can handle herself. But she has never said those things to her. So she didn't know how she would take it. She was just so confused right now. Thinking too much into the situation which isn't good for scatter brain like her.
