Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

SPEND MY DAYS LOCKED IN A HAZE TRYING TO FORGET YOU
It was a simple meetup that led Kasey to Crow Feather Park. It was the first time coming in contact with this new dealer, who the punk had gotten connections with from a mutual "friend". But, in that specific case, the word friend didn't mean much. It was just another lame druggy that Kasey stayed around when she was bored, or when she wanted to laugh at how utterly stupid said person was. And, since her and her former dealer got into quite a...civil argument, Kase was really in need of a new one. Though, she hoped she didn't have to freeze this one's dick, like the last one.
A small laugh left the female at just the thought, before the twenty-two year old plopped down on a nearby bench, away from a lamplight, and waited. It was in the middle of the night, and there weren't any police patrols nearby; this was her usual place for pick-up, so Kasey was always analyzing their routes and time tables when she needed to. It was easy, since all the police around their were bumbling idiots.
Nervously, Kasey took another glance around the setting. Dark shadows cast across the entire park, and as the moon slowly shifted in the sky, each one of those shadows seemed to have a life of their own. Clenching her fist and using her other hand to mess with the material of her leather jacket, Kasey continued to try and see which one of the pathetic shadows was this new dealer of hers.
Gradually the evening had rolled in, night transforming Lorsette into a quiet, eerie place. Street lamps created their cones of light, allowing for the limited night traffic to easily navigate during the time of darkness. During the later hours, Vylad had gathered the necessities, placing the assortment of items into the coat he frequently used for his dealing endeavors. There was several pockets, the coat itself being fairly light weight, making it a clothing item that was inconspicuous during summer evenings. Once prepared, the criminal excited the manor with a small package hidden inside glasses case in hopes of conveying a mere instance of forgetfulness on somebody's part. He walked smoothly down the sidewalks, his eyes glancing around casually while he moved; not that constant surveying could really be called suspicious considering the Assembly members and terrors possibly lurking.
There was a low presence of people, which was satisfying for the man planning to commit his regular illegal activity. Despite his casual demeanor, Vylad felt pangs of anxiety from having to meet a stranger. Constantly, there were concerns about possible traitors or undercover civilians requiring evidence. It fueled the paranoia of his uncle who consistently lectured him about the importance of ambiguity and caution. A majority of people would believe it to be reasonable given the circumstances, but the reckless delinquent could harbor little care; to Vylad it was repetitive and annoying. He moved gradually, fishing his cellphone from the depths of his pocket. The power button was clicked, light pouring from the screen to reveal the time; he was running late. A flinch crossed the male dragon's face as his imagination thought about the customer getting irritated. There were the occasional ones that could even resort to violence if they were deprived long enough.
The pace was increased, Vylad moving hastily towards the location that the customer had decided, Crow Feather Park. He weaved down the numerous sidewalks, drawing closer without giving much thought towards the possibility of apologizing. As one of the larger clouds blocked out the moon, the dealer had managed to slip through the threshold into the park. The park always appeared to be an entirely different location during the evening. Street lamps were casting creepy shadows through the trees that moves and swayed from the wind. The fountain remained in the center, it remained silent, the lights feebly pouring out from it; it has been broken for a few days. Lanterns were unlit, leaving the street lamps that littered the pathways as the only viable source of light throughout the park.
Slowly, Vylad ventured into Crow Feather Park, his eyes gradually scrutinizing the area around him. There was a final task left for accomplishing, which was to seek out the customer. While he looked, there was a weariness captured in his eyes, which was a trait the criminal had long grown use to. There was oftentimes a lingering sense of guilt for the crimes committed, creating an insomnia that was easily displayed on his in the sleepless appearance he maintained. There were hardly complaints over the concept, especially since he could merely distract himself with work instead of laying in bed for several boring hours. After a few moments of wandering, Vylad found a lone figure stationed on a park bench that was away from the light. He hesitated before approaching the bench, his eyes gradually inspecting as he drew closer.
"Hey," he began simply as he got in range. "I'm guessing you are waitin' for me."
There was a surprisingly casual tone to Vylad's voice while he spoke. After years of accomplishing this task, he had grown used to the guilt and anxieties about being caught. Currently, he was hoping that the stranger would not end up being an infuriated customer because of his tardiness.
