Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
Posting here again to let the staff know I made some changes to @nicolas application. I've redone his apperance and added in more condensed picture references! \o/
This is what I've added: Nicolas has natural dirty blonde hair that he both takes care of and styles. He doesn't care to 'doll' himself up, but he does take pride in his looks. His eye color is a brown, but it works well with his hair color and sharp eyes. He stands at 5'9, weighs 145lbs with a body build that compliments his features. He has no piercings or tattoos but does have a scar on the palm of his left hand. His overall presence is one that makes others think he's unfriendly and not very approachable, he can also appear sarcastic with the types of looks he tends to give.
His horns are constantly present unless he has reason to hide them, they are a lighter black with no other notable features. When he's in his full demon form with his wings fully present, Nicolas has a tail and hard stone-like black scaling lining his shoulders, lower waist, center of his back that extends into his tail, and along his outer thighs.
His outfits style consist of punk-rock, but he can easily be seen in a t-shirt and jeans too. He doesn't care for any type of formal wear or anything that is snooty or preppy in appearance. He is always seen wearing a necklace with a silver chain that is wrapped around a piece of chipped horn roughly the size of a shell.
Please note character's opinions may differ, some might find him attractive and others ugly, it all depends on your character's unique preferences. - ♥

Posting here to let the staff know I made some changes to Josuah Ardel's application. I've expanded his personality! Since I've started roleplaying him I've really learned how being trapped as a familiar has effected his mental state. I also changed his age of being trapped from 14 to 13 making his years as a familiar 3 instead of 2.
This is what I've added: Josuah's circumstances of his life have caused him to develop a unique personality. As a wolf he is much more mature and aggressive because without those traits he would have died long ago. He had to adjusted quickly and was not given the proper time to grow as a human child. This has resulted in his human sixteen year old self acting much more childish than what is expected of someone his age. This can correlate to the trauma of what he had to endure by living in the wild for three years with minimal contact with other people.
As a human he's awkward, childish and pent up with frustration. He likes being a wolf much more because as a wolf he's strong and understands his body. But as a boy...it's as though he was a child and suddenly woke up with a teenage body. He will need time to adjust and become confident with his form. As time goes on he'll grown and more of his dominant traits listed above will come through. But for now he's learning and growing as a character.
For Josuah the wild was very direct in how he should be, if you wanted to survive one needed to care only for themselves, fight, and push forward no matter what. As a human the world is a lot more complex and he hates it.
Do not use drama to get attention in the chat. Nobody appreciates it.
