Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.

Intense fluster consumed Jayden the longer he remained near the attractive blond-haired man. Against his sternum thumped the thief’s heart as he bashfully interacted with the mysterious man who drew him close. Their closeness was something unexpected considering they were acquaintances. Only minutes of interaction existed, Jayden unable to understand why exactly he enjoyed the close proximity and the appearance of the stranger. These peculiar emotions were something that never occurred before, making the Assembly soldier feel lost. When the stranger stole his hat, Jayden had attempted to reach out and softly grab it. Carefully, the blond’s hand moved, avoiding the attempted retrieval of his beloved green fedora. The thief’s eyes began flirting between his hat and the attractive blond gleefully stealing it. He failed to comprehend why exactly this man would take his hat, especially considering Jayden’s calloused hand softly held his wrist; there was no escape. Confusion entered the thief’s countenance as the stranger grasped his own hat between his fingers.
[break][break]
Eyes shortly locked into the blond, the perplexing actions inspiring a sense of curiosity. Whatever was occurring left Jayden anticipating the next movement. A single question left the stranger’s lips, the confused soldier nodding slowly. The importance of the strange inquiry was beyond the red-faced thief, his bashful emotions being briefly set aside in favour of curiosity.

Flustered emotions, rapidly beating heart, intense heat across his cheeks and a redness consuming his face. Manifesting any eye contact felt impossible, Jayden becoming consumed by those strange emotions. The presence of the blond stranger generated incredible feelings, which surprised the green-haired man. Nobody had been capable of creating these intense emotions, compelling him to be immobilized from the shock. The thief's eyes locked with the asphalt, fixating on the dirty ground of the alleyway. These peculiar emotions transpiring because of their connection made it difficult for Jayden to explain. The feelings flowing through his mind never existed prior to meeting the aquamarine-eyed blond. The movement of the stranger's hand went unnoticed, the beautiful man's fingers successfully curling his fingers around the hat and snatching it. When the hat was ferried off Jayden's head, the thief's eyes widened, glancing at the blond who stole his hat. The laughter which escaped the stranger's lips reddened the Assembly soldier's face further. Somehow, his reactions were amusing this young man who created these emotions for him.
[break][break]
Calloused fingers reached in an attempt to slowly grab his own hat. He desired his favoured fedora since the old, green hat was important to Jayden. There was something about wearing the attire that created a sense of individuality... For his entire life, the infamous Klepto was two people, his identity shared with his twin because they failed to accomplish all tasks on their own. Gathering information was Caden's best occupation while Jayden was the muscle; there was nothing else he was good at.

Perplexed emotions filled Jayden the longer he remained in close proximity to Carter. The mysterious stranger was interesting to the green-haired thief; the man purchased a stolen necklace after all. Furthermore, the man appeared to lack fear and instead became rather playful towards Jayden, which surprised the Assembly soldier. Most people attempted to immediately escape his clutches or screamed because he was infamous Klepto. Regularly, people were terrified of the individuals associated with the Assembly of Phantoms since they believed peace would be destroyed if they prevailed. Alas, despite those associations with him, the blond maintained a playful composure, even reaching up in an attempt to snatch his hat. Carefully, Jayden had pushed the wealthy stranger’s hand away, his green eyes briefly meeting his aquamarine ones. A hue of red painted itself onto the thief’s cheeks from the momentary glance, his own eyes being caught up by the incredible beauty of the blond’s. Bashfully, the green-eyed man glanced away, unable to maintain the eye contact for longer than a few fleeting moments. There were no words Jayden could say, his flustered state making him unable to speak.
[break][break]
Blush increased upon hearing the flirtatious compliment the blond provided him. Blood pooled in Jayden’s cheeks, creating an uncomfortable heat manifested from intense embarrassment. The thief’s cheeks were a deep red colour, making his emotions obvious to anybody watching. Rapidly, the man’s heart began thumping against his sternum as nervousness claimed him. While Jayden grow used to sexual-based flirting because of his brother, nobody genuinely referred to him as cute because of his own actions. Silence draped over Jayden, the young thief unable to create eye contact as flustered emotions surrounded him, suffocated him and held him in place.

Eye contact was an avoided action, Jayden's inner shyness keeping him from maintaining it. Everything about this situation was strange because of the blond’s peculiar actions. Furthermore, the sensation inside which insisted a closeness be maintained between the pair. Confusion was discovered, the thief unable to comprehend why he enjoyed being near the stranger, alas, he remained motionless. There was something about the attractive blond which drew Jayden close, as though tiny threads connected him to the mysterious young man. Inside his chest was stirring, the Assembly soldier finding the closeness between himself and this complete stranger manifested peculiar sensations inside his body. Nervousness crept through his mind, the green-haired man finding himself oddly concerned about the stranger's personal thoughts and opinions about him. Breathing was quicker than usual, although, Jayden failed to understand the reason behind these unique reactions. Finally, the blond stranger realized the question the thief desired to be answered, thus resulting in a hasty nod of confirmation being made. Avoidance in eye contact was still evident despite the beautiful aquamarine eyes of the stranger.
[break][break]
The direct question about the staring appeared to cease the stranger's, Jayden's eyes briefly flitting to witness the adorable bashfulness displayed after it being pointed out. Subtle hints of red touched the thief's cheeks, making his acute embarrassment evident to anybody watching. When the blond's eyes returned, the green-haired man's glanced away, red blossoming in his pale cheeks. These anxious emotions were consuming the Assembly soldier, but he still found himself unable to explain the sudden transcendence of these feelings. A tight grip was maintained around one of the stranger's hand, Jayden finding it difficult to even ponder releasing the stunning man's hand. When he finally noticed the hand reaching for his hat, the thief instinctually pushed the arm away; he never enjoyed people attempting to touch his head. The confusion increased, Jayden lifting an eyebrow as his head gentle cocked to the side; what a strange boy he found.

Comprehension for the young man's actions was beyond Jayden, the thief never meeting somebody who possessed enough benevolence to purchase stolen goods. Strange became the most suitable word to describe the blond he encountered, however, the Assembly soldier desired to know the reason. Was there an ulterior motive or was this blond merely too nice? Those questions orbited through Jayden's mind, yet, he remained skeptical about the reason; reading minds was beyond him despite his telepathic communication. The thief's green eyes observed the attractive young man, curiosity shining in the green hues as he stared at the stranger. Confusion remained evident as Jayden awaited the answer, the young man never running into these types of situations. Usually, the thief would wander off after a successful mission, however, these items were officially purchased, thus it felt as though no robbery occurred. The answer provided by the blond resulted in Jayden lifting a brow, confused by the strange answer the man gave in response. Evidently, the response was unsuitable, the green-haired man still craving the reason behind the stranger paying for the item.
[break][break]
"... Why did you pay?" He inquired, becoming more specific.
[break][break]
Quietly, Jayden gazed at the man, avoiding his captivating, bright blue eyes; they shone similar to aquamarine stones. Even in the dim lighting of the alleyway, they reminded the thief of the eye-catching rings, metallic pieces holding the stunning aquamarine he would describe them as; he merely knew the stones from years of thievery. The playful answer surprised Jayden, a slight red touching his face as he refused to answer. A silence drifted over the thief, the green-haired man's eyes flitting away shyly. When he finally gained the nerve to glance at the stranger, Jayden's heart skipped a nervous beat when he realized the stranger's staring. Everything easily became awkward for the socially inept thief, his inner shyness despising the situation he placed himself into. Well the stranger possessed every reason to stare, Jayden still felt compelled to inquire about it.
[break][break]
"Um... why are you staring?" He asked, mumbling out the words.
[break][break]
Evacuating the situation once provided the desired answer felt necessary, however, something kept Jayden motionless, forcing him to prolong the interaction with the mysterious man. Admittedly, the thief was uncertain about what force kept him bound in place, but he hardly fought the strange requirement to remain nearby the blond.

Firmly, Jayden’s slender fingers locked around the blond’s risk, his natural strength allowing him to pull him into the alleyway without the assistance of his enhancement. The stranger’s skin was soft beneath his calloused fingers, the green-haired man lifting a brow in surprise. Smoothly, he managed to pull the young man into the alleyway, his green eyes analyzing the blond. There was a slight widening to the thief’s eyes upon noticing the blond’s beauty. The fair skin, divine blond locks and stunning blue eyes were gorgeous, Jayden pausing as he looked over him. Despite his widened eyes from the man’s beautiful face, there was evident confusion in the green-haired man’s eyes. Why would somebody decide to pay for a stolen item? The inquiry about returning the necklace resulted in Jayden raising a brow, the Assembly soldier already deciding not to return the necklace. He already went through the efforts to snatch the piece of jewelry, thus he refused to bring it back.
[break][break]
“... Why?” Jayden asked quietly.
[break][break]
All the thief desired to know was why this stranger desired to pay for the recently stolen item. These actions were strange, Jayden never meeting somebody willing to interrupt the chaos through purchasing stolen goods. There would be no rewards for his efforts, the stranger never receiving the heart-shaped locket he purchased. Either way, this blond man was beyond unique both personality-wise and appearance, although, the personality fascinated Jayden immensely. The inquiry about following the blond resulted in a shrug.
[break][break]
“I guess,” he mumbled quietly.
[break][break]
Partially, Jayden had planned on following to the blond to discover why exactly he purchased the necklace after the item being stolen. However, the green-haired plan thought this would be the only instance of following. The purchase of the jewelry simply perplexed the thief entirely, thus he desired to know the reason.

Quick fingers pulled up the trench coat’s collar before grasping the brim of the fedora to lower it, Jayden keeping himself somewhat hidden. Safely stowed into the thief’s jacket pocket was the necklace, his hand plunging into the opposite grabbed a miniature telescope. Cautiously, the green-haired man inched towards the alleyway's mouth, a majority of the citizens glancing over at the shocking situation inside. Sightings of the infamous Klepto easily caught the attention of concerned citizens, most mumbling to themselves about what the future could hold. They were frightened about the plans the Assembly of Phantoms had in store for them, although, that was expected. Carefully, the telescope's lens was adjusted, Jayden peering through the store's window to check if they called the police. A different type of surprise awaited him, the Assembly soldier noticing a strange, young man opening a chequebook, yet, nothing was beside him. Immediately, Jayden's brow raised as he attempted to deduce what exactly this individual was buying and why the teller failed to grab the phone and call the police. The thief was perplexed by the current situation, his eyes widening when the man left the jewelry store with merely a receipt.
[break][break]
Chatter began starting almost instantly about the strange event, Jayden retreating from the mouth of the alleyway. A conversation between two women transpired, the pair walking away from the recently robbed jewelry store. Unfortunately, the kleptomaniac's suspicions were confirmed when they said the weird blond decided to purchase the stolen necklace. Years ago, Jayden accepted people would accomplish strange things, however, he never heard of somebody paying for a stolen necklace. Interest was piqued, the Assembly soldier placing the telescope back into his pocket before peering out the alleyway. The blond man wearing a hat was evidently on his merry way; the man who ruined the upcoming chaos he was excited for. A disappointed pout breached Jayden's face, eyes narrowing as he watched the peculiar man. The incomprehensible action the blond accomplished fueled the requirement to simply ask why? Usually, the green-haired man would ignore the ridiculous decision, but there was something about this strange man which captured his attention. The thief failed to place his emotions into proper words, but he almost felt drawn to him.
[break][break]
A mental map of the city entered Jayden's mind as he retreated towards the door inside the alleyway. Slowly, he lifted his hand, hovering his palm above the doorknob. Green flashed in his eyes, indicating the door was conveniently unlocked from the beginning; foolish people not locking their doors. Hastily, the location the door led to was changed, making it a door on the blond man's route. Once the location output was changed, Jayden reached to open the door, passing through the alleyway door and exiting into a different alleyway. Calmness enveloped him as he smoothly used his abilities, the thief merely closing the threshold behind him. Slowly, the green-haired man inched towards the mouth of the alleyway, waiting until the blond passed by the opening. Quickly, the Assembly soldier's hand darted out, attempting to grab the man's wrist and drag him into the alleyway to answer his many questions. He was simply unable to understand why someone would decide to pay for stolen items, especially when it was associated with himself, the infamous Assembly soldier known as Klepto. Nobody outside of the Assembly or his family would desire to help him after all.

Sunlight was blocked out by thick, grey clouds which hovered in the skies above. Chilly winds blew through the buildings, embracing anybody walking the streets of Lorsette. Despite spring regularly being a warmer season, it became obvious this day would be frightfully cold. The clouds above were darkening, suggesting they were rain-bearing. Quietly, Jayden wandered through the streets, blending into the people around him. Plenty of stores lined the business district, giving the young man many possibilities to ease his stealing urges. The subtle twitches of his fingers made his desires evident, but he hid his fingers inside the sleeves of his large trench coat. The thief’s eyes flitted between the stores, glancing at each sign to allow him to know the items being sold.
[break][break]
There were a variety of choices incredible, but Jayden needed the perfect plan and store, to begin with. Fortunately, the current weather conditions limited the number of shoppers in the area. Suddenly, the green-haired man paused, his eyes catching a glimpse at the glittering jewels held inside the cases. Jewelry stores possessed a variety of expensive items, the perfect items to steal. Similar to a raven, Jayden found the shiny items attractive, the eye-catching colours and glimmering metals and gems kept his attention. The finger twitches increased as the Assembly soldier discovered the items which he wished to steal, however, he needed an escape plan. A deep breath was taken, Jayden observing his surroundings and checking for other doors. He wished to witness the chaos, especially if these people proved to be rather oblivious to multiple attempts. Casually, Jayden entering the shop, his right hand tilting the hat’s front lower to partially hide his eyes.
[break][break]
Wrapped around his eyes was the usual mask of Klepto, the man finding it thrilling for people to recognize his eye mask. The thrills in stealing were addicting for Jayden, especially considering how people react to being stolen from. Already his heart was beating faster than usual, excitement filling his veins as his eyes proceeded to flit through the items in the store. Finally, his eyes locked on a gorgeous silver necklace with a heart-shaped locket hanging down from it. The beautiful pendant glimmered in the mundane light bulbs, maintaining Jayden’s attention long enough for an employee to wander over. She needed to complete the expected objectives, her occupation demanding her to assist customers as needed, however, she was clueless that the man with green hair was not planning on buying.
[break][break]
“Do you need help, sir?” The woman inquired politely, managing a wide smile.
[break][break]
There was only silence from Jayden, creating awkwardness between himself and the woman merely attempting to assist. A strained smile remained on the woman’s face, making it evident she was struggling to maintain it. Suddenly, the thief reached out, hand wrapping around the chain before he abruptly turned on his heel and sprinted towards the door. A gasp escaped the woman’s mouth, obviously stunned by the thievery in broad daylight. When he reached the door, the green-haired man manipulating the access and changing it to a nearby alleyway door. From there, he could witness the occurrences after he left, making him smile slightly. Once the door opened, Jayden passed through the threshold, disappearing when the glass door closed. He entered the alleyway, the darkness of the dirty location becoming contrast to the jewelry store. Carefully, the necklace was slipped into his jacket pocket as the Assembly soldier slowly inched to the edge of the alleyway to watch the occurrences, senses alert.

[break] I... FINALLY ARRIVED! Sorry I was late. XD
Autumn leaves swirled through the air, a chilly wind flowing steadily through the mixed district of Aria Village. Thick clouds coated the blue skies above, the lack of sunlight manifesting a coldness. Everything inside the village appeared to dull in colour because of the bland weather conditions, a majority of people deciding to lock themselves indoors to avoid the ill-favourable afternoon. Conforming to the avoidance of nasty weather was something rarely done by the Assembly soldier, informant and thief known as Klepto. Unknown to everybody who noticed him, the green-haired man was only a mere half of alias Klepto. The main identity behind the alias, Jayden Milton, was the man who wandered the streets. As usual, he was quiet and composed as he moved down the sidewalks, green eyes focused on the passing sections of concrete. There were few things to accomplish on this particular day, the gifted thief lacking missions to accomplish on behalf of the Assembly of Phantoms. Thus, he merely roamed the streets, searching for fresh air and to avoid the overbearing weight of his parents' expectations. These long walks through the city were truthfully the few reliefs Jayden could receive.
[break][break]
Wrapped around the man's shoulder was a long, dark-green coat, the front closed to avoid cold air embracing his frame. Settled on his head was a fedora of similar colouring to his coat. Black jean pants covered his legs, the dark colouring only manifesting a dull atmosphere for the man. Curiously, Jayden's eyes gleamed as he skimmed the area, his hands tucked deep inside the pockets of his coat. There were few items in the green-haired man's possession, a mind-clearing walk allowing him to leave his cellphone tucked away in his room, thus only his wallet remained. Concerns about work were nonexistent as he continued down the streets, the Assembly soldier knowing his brother, Caden, could easily contact him without the use of technology. Telekinesis was an essential tool for their plans, truly allowing them to create the facade of being a single capable individual who worked as both a soldier and informant. Everybody was confused about the species of Klepto, proving that everything was going according to plan. Footsteps were soft as the thieving Assembly member glided across the sidewalk, naturally quiet from years of stealing from homes.
[break][break]
The walk proceeded, Jayden enjoying the silent surroundings despite the eeriness it ultimately held. Gradually, the green-haired managed to wander into a more abandoned section of the mixed district. Cracks became evident in the concrete, a small area filled with rundown buildings. People were discussing possibly tearing down the buildings and constructing new ones for people to actually live in. A neutral expression remained on Jayden's face as he continued walking, unperturbed by the changing scenery. Relaxation was the primary goal of his stroll, thus he never thought twice about the sketchy location he entered. Slowly, the clouds were darkening, fat drops of water rocketing down from the sky and creating dark splotches on the concrete. The green-haired thief glanced up briefly, the raindrops falling onto his fair skin and forcing him to blink more frequently; he needed shelter. Steps became quicker as he moved through the streets, heading through an opened gate and entering an abandoned orphanage without a second thought of what lurked inside. He had hurried up the steps, lifting a hand to remove any locks from the door before stepping into the building.
[break][break]
An annoyed sigh escaped his lips, Jayden slowly inching towards the closest window to watch the rain intensify. For a moment, the green-haired thief merely watched, not concerned about the current situation. His home was a mere door away, the powers of access manipulation's teleporting component proving to be useful, however, the Assembly soldier waited. There was a calmness in listening to rain tap against the windows, thus he postponed his leave to listen and soothe himself from the stress his parents placed onto his shoulders.

Smiles were a rare sighting in Jayden’s life considering his thievish habits managed to upset numerous people. Usually, Caden remained among the few he could somehow make grin, however, there was something meaningful about getting this stranger to grin. When the corners of her lips curled up into a smile, her beauty radiated as a result. There was something rewarding about witnessing her smile, although, the thief planned to retreat shortly despite the pleasant dose of happiness. Remaining in a single area for an extensive period of time could be detrimental for any criminal; especially the infamous Jayden Milton (AKA: Klepto). Both RCMP and TRS members would be thrilled to capture a prominent criminal and Assembly of Phantoms soldier after years of himself and his brother smoothly eluding capture. The necessity to leave was increasing, yet, there was a slight hesitance to the shy twin's steps, something seeming to insist he remained a few moments longer. A mysterious force bound him to this location longer than expected as it insisted notions of conversing with the blue-haired beauty longer.
[break][break]
Unfortunately, a conversation was beyond Jayden, resulting in the thief turning to leave. There were always consistent struggled to socialize, and the older twin wished to avoid being foolish in front of the mysterious stranger. Answering her questions already proved difficult, therefore, becoming an engaging member in conversation would certainly fail. Alas, Jayden desired the ability to properly converse with another individual, especially the interesting young woman who managed to capture her attention. Compared to other victims, she was a special type of unique which somehow managed piqued Jayden's curiosity. Under most circumstances, the older twin coldly ignored victims without forethought, however, the female stranger managed to break those patterns. Slowly, the steps continued, until a single question arrived in that feminine voice which resulted in Jayden's eyes flitting back before gazing down towards the asphalt. There was a silent debate over providing his name, the force insisting he answer the question.
[break][break]
A soft sigh escaped his lips as hesitation to answer became evident, until finally, he mumbled, "Jayden."
[break][break]
Neutral tones were evident, the older twin finding himself conflicted over whether the action was ignorant or not; he was fairly certain Caden would inform him that providing a name was ignorant. Proceeding down the alleyway was ceased, Jayden lingering, praying she would reciprocate. He craved the knowledge of her name to allow him to thoroughly remember the incident between them and for recognition purposes; somewhere deep down, he wanted to find her again. When time arrived where he trained himself in conversation, he wished to search for her and perhaps attempt to formulate a relationship on better terms, although, the reasoning behind everything remained unknown.

[break] Yay! c:
There was something crucial about obtaining the beautiful girl's happiness, Jayden unable to explain his reasons for his desires. Normally, he would allow people to wallow in the pits of despair, uncaring for their connections towards material items. Under most circumstances, feeding the kleptomania which plagued his daily life was significant, yet, another individual was becoming more important than the endless desire to steal. The leather cord remained softly tangled in his hands, the thief's green eyes curiously gazing between the mysterious girl and the gleaming red stone. When the girl's eyes widened, Jayden watched her, allowing her to grab the pendant and release the necklace from his fingers. Once the pendant left his grip, the thief's hands retreated to his pockets as he proceeded to monitor her reaction to receiving her precious piece of jewelry. There was a glimmer of water in the girl's eyes, yet, a smile remained stretched across her lips. Amazement breached Jayden's face, the young soldier never witnessing somebody cry tears of joy. Finally being allowed to see the mysterious shifter's smile was rewarding, allowing for the thief to momentarily forget the sadness in betraying his twin.
[break][break]
There appeared to be no distress, the quiet nod proving the woman was pleased with the return. A slight fluttering entered his chest because of her joy returning; something was special about her. Words could not explain the strange happiness which transcended over him from finally witnessing her smile. There was something beautiful about her smile, making it difficult for the thief to glance away. The way she clutched the necklace close suggested an extreme value to the item. When the verbal confirmation was provided, a brief smile breached Jayden's countenance, before it hastily disappeared, exchanged for the expected serious one. After securing the image of her smiling in his head, the older twin assumed he could leave, but before he could turn to leave, she inquired about his motivations. There was a pause as the green-haired man froze in place, silent as confusion flickered in his own eyes; he could hardly explain his own objectives. A few minutes passed before Jayden gave up on words and merely provided a perplexed shrug in response. Betraying his brother was something the older twin had never accomplished, thus he could hardly find the words to explain himself.
[break][break]
A slight sadness returned, although, Jayden was already thinking of methods to make his brother feel better. The younger twin accomplished many things to assist him in succeeding, thus the older twin knew he would need to apologize and provide a peace offering.

[break] It's all good!
Initially entering the location Jayden previously came from was frightful, the thief glancing around to notice the absence of the blue-haired woman; he was unaware of her species. Tentatively, the older twin stepped further into the alleyway, his green eyes searching for a sign of her location. While he could spend precious minutes tracking her down, Jayden feared everything he accomplished being for nothing. The single action managed to upset his twin, evident by the lack of telepathic response on Caden's end. Had everything he accomplished to save him from his own grief been futile? A long sigh escaped the thief's lips, hands retreating into his pockets as he closed the door behind him. Hopefully, the beautiful woman had not gone far or already notified the authorities; RCMP forces entering the area potentially meant limited time to locate her. The subtle sounds of feathers rustling alerted Jayden, his eyes flitting quickly towards a blue jay, landing before the magic suddenly began. The young man took a step back, surprised by the action; he had not met many shifters, let alone witness them transform in front of his eyes.
[break][break]
When the blue jay's small form suddenly shifted into the young girl, Jayden watched, surprise briefly crossing his expression before turning neutral with faint hints of sorrow cracking his stony countenance. Immediately, he had recognized her unique blue hair alongside those mesmerizing eyes which shone like gemstones, sapphires to be specific. There was uncertainty in her soft tone as she stated how she did not think he would return. Admittedly, Jayden thought he would not for a moment either, during his contemplation if taking those actions towards his brother was the correct option; he cared deeply about Caden after all. The older thief remained hushed about the possibility of simply leaving, already knowing he could potentially upset the female stranger by stating it.
[break][break]
"I just... had to go get something," he mumbled out an excuse for leaving.
[break][break]
Cautiously, Jayden stating his words, refusing to risk the possibility of the stranger discovering the secret of Caden being his twin. It was obvious he already angered his twin today, thus he wanted to avoid accomplishing that for a second time. Slowly, the older twin searched the depths of his right pocket, the necklace's leather cord brushing against his fingers before he carefully wrapped them around it. He raised it from the depths, sunlight glinting across the metallic surface of the pendant as he brought it out, offering it to the female stranger. The thief remained silent as he offered the necklace back, refusing to provide further explanation for his brother's actions, especially considering he risked suspiciously worded sentences which could have suggested him not being the culprit of the theft. There was hope that his brother had not somehow managed to steal two necklaces and never informed him, but there was something insisted the necklace he held was the correct one. Something about this stranger resulted in a strange variety of emotions, but Jayden knew he wished to see her smile.
[break][break]
"Does... this make you happy?" He murmured.
[break][break]
Despite the sadness, he felt for wronging his brother, Jayden prayed she would smile for the safe return of her precious necklace. There was something about the notion which brightened his thoughts, the older twin oddly desiring to witness somebody other than Caden and himself delighted over something.

Nervousness entered the pits of Jayden's stomach after hearing the pleasant manner which his brother interacted with him. There was only a single man the older twin considered family, which was naturally his twin who consistently displayed a brotherly attitude towards him. Part of him wished he could avoid betraying his brother, the brother he loved dearly and cared about; the person who rescued him from a possible failure in education. The younger twin, the brains of the operation, the only individual who cared about him and displayed it more consistently. There were no answers to Caden's words, Jayden allowing the split guilt to bother him. The female stranger losing her necklace was something he remained guilty about, and finally, the traitorous act he would accomplish on his brother. Before Caden passed through, Jayden's hand managed to grasp the slender chain of the necklace, taking it from his grip before closing the door. Immediately, the older twin lifted his hand, closing the access between their home and the back alleyway of the library. The necklace was placed into the depths of Jayden's pocket, pausing as his eyes looked down the stones below.
[break][break]
"I'm sorry... I don't know what is wrong with me," Jayden stated telepathically.
[break][break]
After a few moments, the older twin slowly walked away from the door, heading towards a separate one. There was a single pause as Jayden glanced back, guilty about the action he took towards his brother. A frown remained evident on his face, sorrow and guilt captured in his green eyes. Another door was approached, Jayden glancing around before lifting his hand, eyes flashing red before turning green as his manipulation unlocked the door. There was a pause as the older twin manipulated the accesses to return to the alleyway where he left the blue-haired woman behind. Slowly, he grasped the doorknob, pausing as he contemplated his actions, knowing he could simply return home with a little focus and apologize to Caden; he could return the stolen item. A deep breath was taken before he opened the door, teleporting himself to the alleyway, his green eyes glancing around in search of the stranger he left behind. He needed to return the precious necklace to the sweet stranger who appeared to be controlling his emotions. There would be time to apologize immensely to Caden and pray forgiveness would be provided; especially considering Jayden lacked the intelligence to accomplish the informant sections of their job.
[break][break]
Silence encompassed Jayden as he checked around for the woman, planning to return home afterwards and perhaps apologize to Caden more. There were the slightest breaks to his usual neutral expression, evident by the frown and hints of both concern and sorrow aimed towards the actions he took towards his dearest twin.

There were rare occasions where Jayden would steal from his twin, mostly from his compulsion to take items. The items would always be returned, eventually, but nervous emotions graced his thoughts at the notion of permanently thieving the necklace from Caden. Unfortunately, witnessing the female stranger’s sorrowful face tugged at the older thief’s emotions, managing to bother him to intense points. There was hesitance in Jayden’s thoughts, especially considering Caden remained to be the only family member who cared about him. Their parents desired perfection, but never received it, resulting in the dependence the twins possessed on one another. An eye roll remained Jayden’s silent response to Caden’s statement over the possibility of accidentally dragging her through. Under all circumstances the older twin would avoid doing the deed; his brother would be furious if somebody discovered there were two of them. While Jayden kept their slight different hidden beneath his shirt, he would never overstep far enough to allow another individual to catch a glimpse of them together; it would be nearly impossible to have them disregard it as sheer myth. They were already an enigma for the evident trio of three stronger powers they held: enhanced strength, enhanced speed and access manipulation.
[break][break]
Those were already considered an anomaly wrapped into a “single package” which left TRS, RCMP and citizen’s heads spinning in confusion. There was theorist who believed they were an entirely different species, various news sources bringing up the inquiry of Jayden Milton (AKA: Klepto) being a newly discovered species. Naturally, those accusations were false but planted through careful planning to avoid anybody learning the truth; learning there were twins born to the Milton family. There was no response to Caden's counter, the older twin releasing an annoyed sigh opposed to telepathically rebuking against his twin. When a man if similar appearance to himself rounded the corner, Jayden's eyes flitted towards him, watching Caden approach. Words were telepathically stated, Jayden remaining silent as Caden revealed the "price" which was a necklace; the necklace. There was silence as the older twin listened to the younger, allowing him to talk, blushing when his fluster was mentioned. Silently, Jayden turned towards the door, eyes flashing green before he changed the access.
[break][break]
"I just got unlucky," he responded. "And next time, I am not being left with your victim or to hear your stupid remarks!"
[break][break]
Once the door's access was changed to home, Jayden opened the door for his brother, eyes fixating on Caden as he waited for him to pass through the threshold, should he chose to accomplish the action. On most occasions, the older twin insisted on being the last through the manipulated the door to avoid somebody possibly slamming it shut and trapping his brother in the location they teleported from. While Jayden could easily handle himself and probably dispose of the nuisance as needed, he was constantly wary of Caden's lacking in fighting ability. In this situation, he hoped it would provide the advantage in retrieving the necklace, should his brother decide to proceeded to hold it. All the older twin required was a chance to reach out and grab it before forcing Caden through the manipulated access, leaving him trapped at home while he returned the necklace to the stranger. He prayed he could accomplish the objective, and Murphy's Law would not delay his plans.

Escaping the stranger was crucial for Jayden's avoidance of these guilty emotions and furthermore, so he could not be arrested for his crimes, however, the task proceeded to prove difficult. There was something tying him in place, a supernatural force the older twin could never explain; was she controlling him? From his experience in the Assembly of Phantoms, mind control and possession were abilities witnessed on the field, a few members using the power to their advantage. There was a chance this woman was pulling similar strings through playing with his emotions, resulting in this unique mixture of conflicting emotions; he was excited and happy, yet nervous and frightened. He merely required a door, some manipulation on the accesses, then a single step through could land him miles away from this mysterious woman, however, part of him did not desire that outcome. There was something which desired him to obey the "ropes" which bound him to this location, but Jayden could not figure out why; everything seemed to be ending in the question 'why?'.
[break][break]
After several minutes of torture, his brother finally relented, stating he would provide a location to allow Jayden to escape, and bringing an excellent point up. There was an eye roll evident, Jayden becoming hesitant to answer from his lack of thought over the least likely scenario. Either way, the older twin was not the sharpest tool in the shed, his intelligence being subpar from his horrible schooling.
[break][break]
"It won't happen, I will just do a whole track, okay? It's not like it takes long for me to teleport after all," Jayden responded telepathically. "Now just chill and I will get right over there."
[break][break]
The older twin proceeded, deciding to turn into a separate alleyway to find a back door for his teleportation. There would be substantially fewer people to witness the use of his gifted ability, access manipulation. The skill proved under all circumstances to be useful, especially considering the teleportation power which arrived with it. Steadily, his green eyes searched the alleyway, his hands in his pocket as he looked for the best opportunity to escape. There he saw a brown, wooden door, perfect for his escape from this girl's strange power influence over him. One of his calloused hands left his pocket, but there was a pause as the woman proceeded to console him, Jayden providing a sideways glance. There was a pause as his eyes locked on her, the resolve she held despite having zero knowledge about his background and abilities, yet, she still believed there was more. He heard his brother's impatient comments, but the older twin made no effort to unlock the door yet. He glanced towards the closed door before his eyes trailed back to her, where they paused, a glimmer of determination touching his eyes.
[break][break]
"Stay here," he stated briefly.
[break][break]
Promptly after speaking, his gaze returned to the door as he raised his hand towards the rusty doorknob. There was a glow of red from his eyes, the colour shortly changing to green before he reached out and opened the door. Instead of leading to the back of an old kitchen, it became the doorway to the library's back access, facing out into the alleyway. He stepped through quickly before closing the door behind him, allowing him to take a single step into the alleyway where he stayed hidden in the shadows.
[break][break]
"Come around back and don't be so impatient. I wasn't sitting right by a door," Jayden informed his brother.
[break][break]
Once his message was relayed, Jayden waited patiently for the arrival of his brother, nervous about the actions to arrive. In his mind, he remembered her tears over the necklace and desired to see a smile from the valuable object being returned to her. While there was a chance the girl was controlling him, the guilt of stealing from her specifically proceeded to beat him up, fueling his desire to retrieve and return her valuable.
