Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
Rainer is very built and built large and strong looking, man as well as looking very initimidating to most thalooking to most that don't know him. His red eyes gave off a dangerous vibe. Long thick black hair down to the middle of his back. He has many peicing on his face and ears. When looking at him you would never think he was ever an angel. You would think he was a demon or something else. Today Rainer was weating his favorite black leather jacket, zip up leather vest and long sleeved shirt under the rest of his clothes. His pants were black pants, and was wearing steel toed boots with metal buckles on them. When you first look at him you would never guess he was a child of an angel mother and demon father.
Rainer walked along the more ran down part of the area this was where he called home. For most of his life, this was where he called home in a run down an orphanage. His parents were never around to raise him nor did anyone adopt him. He was merely beaten by other kids so much so that his wings when he did manifest them grew back deformed so much that he can hardly fly. Not only that but he was left behind when the orphanage shut down. He now used it as a safe house for kids (meaning anyone younger than him) to stay and call home. Although not much of one it still was home to him.

[break] I... FINALLY ARRIVED! Sorry I was late. XD
Autumn leaves swirled through the air, a chilly wind flowing steadily through the mixed district of Aria Village. Thick clouds coated the blue skies above, the lack of sunlight manifesting a coldness. Everything inside the village appeared to dull in colour because of the bland weather conditions, a majority of people deciding to lock themselves indoors to avoid the ill-favourable afternoon. Conforming to the avoidance of nasty weather was something rarely done by the Assembly soldier, informant and thief known as Klepto. Unknown to everybody who noticed him, the green-haired man was only a mere half of alias Klepto. The main identity behind the alias, Jayden Milton, was the man who wandered the streets. As usual, he was quiet and composed as he moved down the sidewalks, green eyes focused on the passing sections of concrete. There were few things to accomplish on this particular day, the gifted thief lacking missions to accomplish on behalf of the Assembly of Phantoms. Thus, he merely roamed the streets, searching for fresh air and to avoid the overbearing weight of his parents' expectations. These long walks through the city were truthfully the few reliefs Jayden could receive.
[break][break]
Wrapped around the man's shoulder was a long, dark-green coat, the front closed to avoid cold air embracing his frame. Settled on his head was a fedora of similar colouring to his coat. Black jean pants covered his legs, the dark colouring only manifesting a dull atmosphere for the man. Curiously, Jayden's eyes gleamed as he skimmed the area, his hands tucked deep inside the pockets of his coat. There were few items in the green-haired man's possession, a mind-clearing walk allowing him to leave his cellphone tucked away in his room, thus only his wallet remained. Concerns about work were nonexistent as he continued down the streets, the Assembly soldier knowing his brother, Caden, could easily contact him without the use of technology. Telekinesis was an essential tool for their plans, truly allowing them to create the facade of being a single capable individual who worked as both a soldier and informant. Everybody was confused about the species of Klepto, proving that everything was going according to plan. Footsteps were soft as the thieving Assembly member glided across the sidewalk, naturally quiet from years of stealing from homes.
[break][break]
The walk proceeded, Jayden enjoying the silent surroundings despite the eeriness it ultimately held. Gradually, the green-haired managed to wander into a more abandoned section of the mixed district. Cracks became evident in the concrete, a small area filled with rundown buildings. People were discussing possibly tearing down the buildings and constructing new ones for people to actually live in. A neutral expression remained on Jayden's face as he continued walking, unperturbed by the changing scenery. Relaxation was the primary goal of his stroll, thus he never thought twice about the sketchy location he entered. Slowly, the clouds were darkening, fat drops of water rocketing down from the sky and creating dark splotches on the concrete. The green-haired thief glanced up briefly, the raindrops falling onto his fair skin and forcing him to blink more frequently; he needed shelter. Steps became quicker as he moved through the streets, heading through an opened gate and entering an abandoned orphanage without a second thought of what lurked inside. He had hurried up the steps, lifting a hand to remove any locks from the door before stepping into the building.
[break][break]
An annoyed sigh escaped his lips, Jayden slowly inching towards the closest window to watch the rain intensify. For a moment, the green-haired thief merely watched, not concerned about the current situation. His home was a mere door away, the powers of access manipulation's teleporting component proving to be useful, however, the Assembly soldier waited. There was a calmness in listening to rain tap against the windows, thus he postponed his leave to listen and soothe himself from the stress his parents placed onto his shoulders.
“What do you think your doing here” a deep but hushed voice said from behind the man as a large 6’9” figure stood behind him all dressed in a black version on Robin Hood as others would describe it. “You wouldn’t be trying to steal my score would you” he pointed the rich persons building they were near by. “That person has way to much than they deserve so I’m taking some of it” he said. As he quitely approached the building he may not be good at flying but he could use his crooked wings to glide with the wind. As he started checking for security. He was trying to determine how tight it was. He wondered why the other guy was around these parts. Jayden Milton

[break] Welp, Jayden is just going for it. lol Rainer is free to follow him, I don't see Jayden really being against it considering he gave the info.
Raindrops tapping on the window's glass kept Jayden's attention, his green eyes quietly watching. The hard falling drops collided against the glass, rolling down the smooth surface. Silently, the Assembly soldier stood in his position, hands hidden inside the pockets of his trench coat. Time avoiding his parents was valuable to the green-haired thief, their voices already haunting him with their constant lectures. Intelligence was never Jayden's strongest suit, thus, they persistently badgered their son about his career and capabilities. Alas, scouting remained beyond the Assembly soldier's grasp, thus Caden handled those difficult tasks while he fixated on the physical dirty work. Another sigh escaped Jayden's lips before he allowed his green eyes to wander around his surroundings, however, he discovered something rather unpleasant. A frown touched the green-haired man's face, yet, expression-wise Jayden remained void of emotion. Surprise could hardly breach his features at the notion of somebody living inside the abandoned building. People accomplished whatever was required for survival, therefore, somebody taking advantage of this abandoned location when low on cash appeared likely.
[break][break]
The question prompted Jayden to point a thumb over his shoulder, the pouring rain being his reason for entering the abandoned building. Alas, the dark-haired man began rambling on about his score before informing him about a, particularly wealthy neighbour. A brow raised, the calming rain forgotten in mere moments because of an opportunity. Perhaps he could steal something to improve his horrible mood. As a result, he silently followed the mysterious man, however, he kept his guard up; deception was always a possibility. Carefully, Jayden peered from a safe distance, watching the patrolling guards until a pattern was recognized, afterwards, he moved. Whether the stranger trusted his skills and followed was an entirely different question, however, Jayden knew he could smoothly enter without tripping the security system. Cautiously, the thief moved, steps light as he ducked into the bushes beside a secure door. Pressed against the home's wall, Jayden approached the door from the cameras blind spot after all guards passed. A single hand was raised, eyes flashing red before turning green, and once his hand twisted the doorknob, it swung open without triggering an alarm; almost as though somebody used a key or passcode.
[break][break]
With that, Jayden entered, green eyes flitting around the hallway before ducking into a nearby hall closet. The thief planned to have the door cracked open; he required a disguise after all. Hopefully, an opened front door attracted a guard over to investigate the situation. Cameras were everywhere, thus having a disguise would make anybody watching him hardly pay any mind.
Rainer by the time he was done with all that had let himself in “you know when you have cute kids that are already staying around here they tend to find keys to a place like this” Rainer said as he had beaten the man in as some street little kids had known where the person keeps their keys and passcodes. He had what he came for and laughed as he tripped the alarm on perpose laughing as him and the kid blended into the roof tops after fleeing the sence. After all what was a good score without leaving a calling card which was just what he did he left different masks at the secense yet no one ever caught him. He hoped his rambling had given the other guy time to get out. But it wasn’t his business if the guy got out as he payed the kid 40 bucks for helping the kid left able to feed him and his sister for a while. Rainer would watch from a distance away from the place to see what would happen. Jayden Milton

[break] Jayden has exited the thread. I could not really think of a way to keep him there, so he just left.
Hidden inside a closet with a mere slit of light, Jayden patiently waited for one of the well-clothed guards. The sounds of footsteps across tiles filled the green-haired man’s ears as someone ventured closer. Slowly, the door outside was pushed shut, a soft click echoing before Jayden lunged from the closet. Before the security guard could even utter surprise, he was slammed into the wall. A soft thud reaches Jayden’s ears, the guard being knocked unconscious before slumping to the floor. Hastily, the thief used his enhanced strength to drag the unconscious guard into the closet before stealing his clothing and tugging it over his own. The man was larger than him, thus the criminal hoped the extra layers would add additional padding. Briefly, the closet’s access point was altered to his room, Jayden throwing in his hat alongside the small, fabric mask around his eyes; he had a peculiar preference for wearing it, however, it managed to cover some features. Afterwards, the door was shut, reverting into the exit from the closet and into the hallway.
[break][break]
Before leaving, the thief snatched the Bluetooth earpiece from the guard, observing it and assuring he knew the basic on-off function. Upon entering the lavishly decorate my corridor, the green-haired man appeared similar to any security guard. Alas, it appeared the original plan would run into an obnoxious road bump. Mere steps down the hallway, the alarms triggered, someone either being incredibly reckless or desiring to cause him trouble. Lending trust was a touchier subject, however, Jayden assumed the trouble-causing verdict for his safety. Thieves were never trust-worthy people and, naturally, the Assembly soldier was plenty aware of the notion. Years of stealing from places with the assistance of his twin, Caden, made Jayden familiar with those issues. Alas, the green-haired thief was determined to gather something from the lavish manor. These people did not support the Assembly's goals, therefore, Jayden considered it fair to accomplish what he wished. Quickly, the Assembly soldier began moving, pretending to be a hurrying guard searching for an intruder. Independently, he moved through the building, unphased by the alarm while his eyes searched.
[break][break]
Rooms were labelled, Jayden's eyes searching for a black one with the etched letters of 'SECURITY OFFICE' in white text; he would assume the cameras would be there. The decorated hallway was coloured in a light beige, each black rectangle popping against the lightly coloured walls. Suddenly, his eyes caught it, the imposter guard ceasing movement to read those sought after letters. Carefully, the thief opened the door, a bewildered security guard glancing back. Lack of familiarity was noticed hastily as he rose from his seat and charged; a foolish move. Enhanced strength was activated, Jayden matching the man's charge despite his superior size. The unlikely outcome arrived, the security guard being shoved back and smacking heavily into the wall with a loud thud. Moments passed as Jayden spared a few seconds to stare at the guard, assuring he would be down for the count. Promptly afterwards, his fixation turned to the many screens covered in security monitors, analyzing where the best treasures would be. A brow raised as he noticed several masks inside the manor, however, Jayden refused to question it; there was a goal in mind.
[break][break]
Finally, he noticed one where a blonde woman was escorted from her bedroom which was filled possessed several boxes, thus, the thief assumed he could successfully get a score. Hastily, Jayden returned to the door, closing it before focusing and changing the access point to the ignored bedroom. Once the security door swung open, the green-haired thief discovered the bedroom filled with elegant jewelry. The access point was shut behind him, the door returning to normal. Promptly afterwards, the Assembly soldier hovered his hand over the nod, the subtle click of closing locks reaching his ears. Sealing himself inside would allow him to work peacefully in gathering the items from the beautiful bedroom. Quickly, necklaces were grabbed, anything not locked inside a box being shoved into the depths of his pockets. Without hesitation, Jayden moved through the bedroom, his main fixation was a large vanity with a huge mirror with a gold-painted trim. Dark oak composed the remainder of the giant piece, making a striking, but welcomed, contrast between the gold colour and the dark wood. Several jewelry boxes littered the surface while other necklace dangled or laid, idly waiting to be worn.
[break][break]
Everything without a box was scooped up and placed into an available pocket before any pocket-sized boxes followed. Afterwards, the jewelry boxes were stacked and balanced on a single arm. The precious jewelry was gathered, thus, the time arrived to vacate the bedroom and return home with a stunning haul. Without worry, Jayden walked towards the bedroom door, hovering his hand over the doorknob. The access point was altered to become his bedroom, allowing him to enter the location he wished. Behind him, the door was shut and the doorway reverted to the regular locations. There were plans to show off his marvellous haul to his twin brother, however, that would wait until Jayden sorted through the jewelry. If somebody else was given credit for his work, Jayden hardly cared. Based on his opinion alone, a great thief entered a location and left similar to a ghost. They avoided unnecessary attention and left their victims to panic upon discovering their missing items. Klepto, the Assembly soldier, left no calling cards, not even feedback on videos a majority of the time. Nobody was aware of there being two, however, everybody in the Assembly of Phantoms thought, Jayden Milton was an excellent soldier, informant and thief. Never would they realize only two of those notions were correct.
