Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Feebly, Abel struggled on the concrete, desperately praying he could assist Benjamin; somebody needed to keep that man safe! The woman was renown in the Hallow Order for her fierce attitude and short-tempered nature. Unfortunately, the golem found himself condemned to the concrete, his lack of energy resulting in a difficulty of rising from the ground. The battle began, the woman firing her electricity while a fire settled behind her eyes, the anger increasing tremendously. A phantom pain pulsated through Abel's hands, his yellow eyes glancing towards Benjamin where they widened as a shield of blood was created between the electricity and them. Despite a majority being aimed towards the green-haired beauty, he made the shield large enough to protect both of them. The red liquid could only remain strong for so long, the electricity eventually breaking through to attack his precious Benjamin. Panic flared, Abel's eyes widening as phantom pain ravaged his body, resulting in a gasp of surprise from the intensity.
[break][break]
For years, the golem seldom felt pain, creating difficulty in taking the phantom pains. These were sensations he never grew used to, his mechanical body designed to limit the amount of pain he could feel; pain could be a distraction. The blond's eyes slowly returned to Benjamin, concern captured in them as he noticed the lich had been brought to his knees. Witnessing the display resulted in Abel's heart aching immensely, his desires to protect Benjamin increasing with each passing second. Again, the golem attempted to rise, only managing to get slightly higher before his lack of energy failed. The shocking had caused minor damage to his heartcore, making it difficult for the piece that powered his body to operate hastily. A guilt began manifesting, the blond feeling horrible for being unable to protect the man who continued to treat him sweetly.
[break][break]
"I'm sorry..." he mumbled from the floor. "... I can't get up..."
[break][break]
Listening to Benjamin's speech to the woman as he forced himself to his feet was surprising for several reasons. Love remained a foreign concept since death, the golem never being capable of reciprocating those intense feelings. There was never an instance where he accepted somebody's offer for a date or stated those three words. Perhaps it was because his heart was waiting for an individual who held complete loyalty and who would persistently attempt to obtain his affection, and currently, the mysterious lich displayed it. Despite the hurtful words, Benjamin appeared keen on protecting him, stating his desires to not lose him again prior. Then there were the impressive capabilities of human determination, where despite the direness of a situation, they could hold the bravery to push forward and protect those they cared about. Silently, Abel watched from the concrete as the darkness hid him away, still feeling guilty that Benjamin could accomplish the task of protecting him as a mere human. Something dropped, the golem hearing the gasping chokes of the woman's final moments, but remained blind to the brutality.
[break][break]
When the darkness dissipated as Benjamin returned to him, leaning down to assist him back to his feet. The golem clung, his lack of steadiness generating concerns of falling to the concrete again. Once inside, the blond was settled onto the couch, sinking into the cushions with exhaustion claiming him.
[break][break]
"Does hurt pride count?" Abel mumbled.
[break][break]
There was a moment to lazily glance around, the house's interior having a strange familiarity despite Abel never recalling being inside the building; even the way the couch held him was oddly nostalgic. While his eyes glanced, he noticed what appeared to be the handle of a gun jutting out from Benjamin's pocket.
[break][break]
"What's that?" He mumbled, pointing to it.
[break][break]
Presumably, the gun could have been used for protection, but nonetheless left Abel curious to why Benjamin would possess the firearm. A moment was taken to try and reach for it, unfortunately, the bounty hunter could hardly move because of his lack of power.

There was no comfort in Ben's words as Abel continued fretting over the safety of the green-haired beauty. The golem felt helpless, the drainage on energy on his body taking an intense toll on the blonde's body. He could hardly move because of what the female bounty hunter accomplished, thus his body remained mostly stationary. Gradually, his heartcore began recovering from the electrocution, slowly taking control over the robotic body. Another attempted was given to rising, although, to no avail as his arms shook feebly and failed to support Abel's weight. Concern appeared to be the only expression the blonde could wear, his inability to assist the mysterious stranger becoming more frightening with each passing minute. What use was this accursed body if he remained stuck on the concrete?! The worry only increased as the golem remembered the woman since she was a bounty hunter renown for her aggressive nature. They were similar in some personality fields, both having an aggressive and untamable anger to their behaviour.
[break][break]
The woman's eyes narrowed at Benjamin's comment as she discovered a dislike to his manner of speaking. She loathed targets who refused to cooperate and obey simple demands like fetching a phone. When the possession commenced, an angry snarl left her lips as the green-haired individual forced her to grab her phone, opening the app to reveal the bounty price. Immediately, her nostrils flared as she noticed only zeroes beside the man's name.
[break][break]
"Ben... please," Abel pleaded. "She will hurt you."
[break][break]
Quietly, Abel continued assisting from the sidewalk, praying Benjamin would obey and flee while he had the opportunity to. A glance was taken towards the woman, Abel's yellow eyes managing to notice the vexation crossing her sharp features. The woman's head glanced towards the green-haired man, the commands only resulting in her eyes narrowing further. Panic immediately settled in, the golem recognizing the expression instantly since he wore it numerous times. Across the woman's countenance was the obvious signs of rage, her face having a scowl as she glared daggers towards her former target. There was likely a malicious intention to harm Benjamin, and Abel already knew he could not protect the incredible man while in this condition. The golem's breath quickened, his eyes darting back towards Benjamin, glancing towards his attractive face with concern evident in his own.
[break][break]
"BEN, PLEASE! FOR THE LOVE OF THE GODS, RUN!" He desperately pleaded, praying the lich would flee.
[break][break]
Hastily, the woman took her aim, firing a harsh round of electricity towards Benjamin. The bolts rushed from her fingertips, her phone being discarded to the ground. She was clearly displeased with the manner the green-haired man treated her, thus a determination.
[break][break]
"THEN MAYBE I WILL JUST KILL YOU INSTEAD! YOU ARE A NUISANCE AFTER ALL!" She exclaimed.
[break][break]
The harboured concerned increase, the golem desperately attempting to rise from his position on the ground. He struggled on the sidewalk, his arms shaking each time, displaying their inability to steadily support him. Constantly, he tries forcing himself up, even through any horrible phantom pains that rippled through his body.

Feebly, Abel remained on the concrete, his body weak from the torment it underwent a few moments prior. There was nothing he could accomplish in this condition, the female bounty hunter completing a portion of her objective with a frightening ease. Slowly, his gaze lifted to stare at Benjamin, pray he would obey his demand and escape, saving himself from the torturous pains of electrocution. Unfortunately, this beautiful man possessed other intentions and instead stated a desire to remain beside him, which resulted in the golem flinching. This stubbornness could possibly lead to this man of divine beauty! The luscious green hair that cascaded down in lengthy tendrils, the pleasant angles of his facial features and finally those determined eyes who wanted to defend him from this woman. How did Abel come to deserve such pleasant attention? He could not grasp a feasible reason for why the gods would grant him this incredible partner. Slowly, the blond reached to softly grasped Benjamin's pant leg, tugging slightly to attempt to gain his attention, but not humiliate him.
[break][break]
"Please... please just go... I don't want you to get hurt," Abel pleaded.
[break][break]
When Benjamin provided the information, the woman lifted an eyebrow as her eyes remained locked onto her target. A smirk touched her cherry-coloured lips as she kept her hand extended towards the couple. This sighting was amusing to her, but she would not merely risk her aim in favour of checking the app stored on her phone. The golem glanced her way, watching her eyes flit over them as she debated how exactly she would proceed.
[break][break]
"Then grab Abel's phone and show me. Cause last time I check, there was a handsome price on your head," she stated with a sinister grin. "Listen, darling, I am no idiot. I have you in my sights, and I ain't risking that to glimpse at an application to verify a stupid amount."
[break][break]
The golem flinched, his eyes returning to Benjamin as he prayed his presumed husband would decide to retreat instead of holding his ground to defend him. Naturally, the blond had his phone, but he feared the idea of the ruthless bounty hunter abruptly attacking Benjamin because of the advantage it posed. The next words that left the man's mouth made Abel's heart melt, his eyes widening. This man remained determined to protect him despite all the horrible things he screamed at him a mere few moments ago; how could he deserve somebody like this? He stared at Benjamin, wide-eyed as he attempted to think of how fortunate he was to meet this "stranger".

[attr="class","lovemad2"]
There was pain pulsating through Abel's body, the golem only capable of subtly moving his body on account of the sudden damages. Guilt continued to ravage the male bounty hunter as he wished he had never said all those horrible things to Benjamin; that beautiful man did not deserve to hear such blasphemy. Unfortunately, Abel feared he could never become the man his presumed husband deserved; the man he felt immense affection for. The blond listened to the footsteps of the female bounty hunter circling, glaring up towards her as she smirked arrogantly. Admittedly, the golem desired to punch that cocky smile right off of her face. The mocking tones the woman used when referring to him only increased Abel's anger, the short-tempered blond even attempting to rise from the concrete, although, to no avail. The mechanical merely shook, the sudden overload of electricity abruptly followed by the draining leaving him in a weakened state and at the mercy of this woman. There was no possibility of Abel managing to get to his feet alone, especially since the electric overload managed to knock a few stray sparks onto his pain sensitive heart core.
[break][break]
"Awwww, Abel wants up? How cute," she mocked further. A sigh left her mouth as she glanced around. "You haven't even caught the target yet! How slow can you be?"
[break][break]
The golem glared up towards his assailant who merely maintained a smirk as she gazed back. There was a prayer that Benjamin had left the area while this bounty hunter remained distracted; Abel wanted the green-haired beauty to remain safely out of the clutches of this particularly cruel huntress. While he remained on the hard concrete, the blond's teeth clenched as he continued glaring, his hand still tightly holding the precious wedding band.
[break][break]
"At least I'm not a complete asshole," he mumbled in response. "Remind me to punch that stupid smirk off your face when I get charged again."
[break][break]
A cackling laugh echoed out of the woman's mouth, but before she could respond, somebody exited the house. Anger transitioned to horror as Abel noticed Benjamin leave the sanction of the house. The golem struggled further from the ground, attempting to recover from the immense damage of earlier, but to no avail. There was a satisfied smile stretching across the woman's face as she began to focus on her new target, Benjamin McCroft. Phantom pain faintly sparked into Abel's hand as he watched the green-haired man force blood out of the wound, creating a shield to protect him... After all those horrible words that Abel stated, this lich still possessed the desire to protect him... Before she could utter a mocking comment towards Benjamin, she was possessed and forced to retreat a few steps away from the Abel. When his former target walked closer, the blond flinched while he looked towards him before he guiltily retreated his eyes. The outstretched hand remained untaken as Abel's gaze slowly returned to Benjamin.
[break][break]
"Don't worry about me, she is after you," he whispered. "She's a bounty hunter, escape now so she doesn't hurt you."
[break][break]
There was a pleading tone to the blond's lips while he continued to stare at Benjamin, praying that this beautiful man would heed his words and flee instead of remaining beside him. Promptly, the female bounty hunter recovered from the possession, her eyes narrowing as she lifted her hand. Suddenly, bolts of electricity were produced from her hand, her target being the Benjamin and Abel.

[attr="class","lovemad2"]
These were always the moments where Abel wished he could act more human and understand the emotions of other individuals. The unpleasant silent treatment only increased his anger, the golem glaring down angrily at his target. Admittedly, Abel could not comprehend why Benjamin would refuse to answer their onslaught of inquiries, the bounty hunter being unaware how his words managed to hurt his feelings. The lack of memory accompanied by his unfamiliarity with other people made an excellent combination to decimate the loving feelings that his forgotten husband still harboured for him. The golem rolled his eyes at Benjamin, finding the lack of response annoying; answering his questions could result in his memories returning. There was a tight grip on the wedding band, holding it delicately between his mechanical fingers, eyes analyzing it for a few moments. Despite his greediness, Abel found himself incapable of understanding the importance of some material objects; why not use the money on more important things?!
[break][break]
Personally, the golem would have used the funds for repairs considering the expensive nature of them, although, such thoughts were interrupted when his yellow eyes drifted towards Benjamin. There was a pause as Abel's eyes widened towards the tear-filled eyes of the stranger who claimed to be his husband; was he truthfully hurting him that much? Witnessing the tears roll down the man's cheeks was heartbreaking, the bounty hunter only capable of staring until Benjamin shoved him off, the fragile chain breaking as his husband got released. The blond's grip tightened on the ring, desiring to hold it close instead of pawn it at a shop to earn a few bucks. He toppled onto the ground after being shoved off, eyes staring at his hand that clutched the wedding band; what had he done? It was obvious his abrasive demeanour resulted in him bringing harm to Benjamin's feelings and this man claimed to only desire love and affection, both things Abel felt incapable of providing. Darkness surrounded him, Abel's sight shifting to night vision as he listened to the deep voice of Benjamin.
[break][break]
"Ben?! BEN?! WAIT! I AM SORRY!" He exclaimed desperately.
[break][break]
The golem rushed towards the shadow barrier, pounding his fist against it, attempting to break through. There was a prayer sent, Abel activating his enhanced strength to finally smash through the wall of darkness. Once the hole was created, the bounty hunter flinched from the sudden detriment to his night vision and promptly switched to his regular type. Afterwards, he sprinted through the hole, activating his enhanced speed as he desperately searched for Benjamin with the ring still held tightly. The voice was panicking, insisting that Abel made a huge mistake in callously stating those words about the green-haired man's ring. The situation had been sensitive, and instead of feeling grateful for possibly having somebody who would love him despite the changes he underwent, Abel pushed them away. There was something similar to instinct leading the golem down the network of sidewalks, the blond managing to arrive at a house. Slowly, his eyes drifted towards the home the mysterious strings led him too, the bounty hunter staring.
[break][break]
There was something familiar about this place, although, Abel never remembered being taken here. The fractured memory of the golem flitted across the exterior, vague fragments of memory coming to find, however, not articulating a true memory. Gradually, his hand touched the side of his head as his eyes retreated to the sidewalk; how he wished he could just remember... There was a pause of contemplation on his to enter the home, but they were interrupted by a pain that pulsated through Abel's body as his circuits spat sparks in a complaint to the electricity that abruptly entered the bounty hunter's body. A hand grabbed him, momentarily pulling him close to steal the power after creating the necessary damage to stun her opponent; shortly releasing him. Instantly, the blond found himself falling towards the sidewalk, landing on his stomach while smoke spiralled up from his back.
[break][break]
"Tsk, tsk, Abel, sooooo sloooow," a feminine voice taunted.
[break][break]
There was a flinch as Abel found himself trapped on the ground, the drain resulting in his body relying solely on the heart core within to power itself. With a limited amount of energy, Abel would be fortunate to lift himself off the ground; the damage was of little worry to him.
[break][break]
"Shut... up," he mumbled feebly.
[break][break]
A tight grip was maintained on Benjamin's wedding band, Abel slowly moving his hand closer to his fellow bounty hunter would be unable to notice his closed fist. These were one of those moments he hated the other members of the Hallow Order; anybody would gleefully fight you for a bounty, it was simply the way things were.

Mother insisted that Abel of his death was merely an accident, and she was an excellent woman who informed him about how she gleefully raised him for years. Obviously, she had to be truthful with her statements being the marvellous woman who gave birth to him and tenderly cared for him when he was recovering from his return. The verdict was simple, mother had no reason to provide him with a weaved web of lies, although, the golem remained unaware of the truth. Yet, something inside insisted this stranger he met today instead of the woman who raised him. A glare settled on Abel's brows as he continued to stare down at the man yelling at him, stating he was a murder victim. The increased struggling only resulted in the tightening of the blond's arms around the man as he continued staring at him. There was a vague implication of phantom pain, the notion caused concern to breach the golem's face. This attractive man deserved better than a monster who hunted for greedy intentions. Oddly, Abel found himself believing Ben deserved a kind and sweet man who would adorn him with affection, but where did those beliefs arise from?
[break][break]
Why did he continue to insist that his target deserved a better romantic interest or deserved one at all?! The bounty hunter would arrest this criminal, bring him to the Hallow Order, claim his prize and officially be completed another mission, but instead, he remained stationed atop him, inquiring him. There was a fluttering to his heart, providing positive reinforcement towards their close proximity, but would "skip beats" whenever he considered turning Benjamin in or denying his words.
[break][break]
"WHY SHOULDN'T I BELIEVE THE WOMAN WHO RAISED ME?!" Abel shouted in retaliation. "SHE PUT ME BACK TOGETHER AFTER I DIED! SHE TOLD ME ABOUT THE BULLIES, SHE TOLD ME HOW THEY USED THAT NAME AND TEASED ME WITH IT! SHE TOLD ME ABOUT THE ACCIDENT, AND YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO BELIEVE OTHERWISE JUST BECAUSE YOU FELT SOMETHING!"
[break][break]
Anger flowed through Abel's circuits, his peculiar eyes narrowing at the man who insisted to be his husband. While his heart was inclined to believe his words, his brain stated otherwise, playing on the possibility of a liar. Inside of the golem became a brawl as each side attempted to state each individual as true, his heart rooting for this stranger while his brain insisted his mother to be truthful. The conflicting opinions frustrated him, increasing the anger within as he attempted to sort through the different statements. When Ben made his bias statement, the golem glared towards him, sitting up, his fist shortly slamming into the ground beside in a desperate attempt to relieve frustration; it was painless to the cyborg anyways. There was a moment of silence as he listened to the lich continue.
[break][break]
"HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSE TO KNOW WHO TO BELIEVE?!" He yelled, the frustration evident in his voice. "WHAT YOU SAY CONTRADICTS EVERYTHING I HAVE BEEN TOLD, SO WHY THE HELL SHOULD I BELIEVE YOU?!"
[break][break]
Believing a random stranger he met during the early hours was refused, his heart aching in response to the decision as his stubborn mind conquered. There was no substantial evidence, his lack of memory resulting in a weakness that Abel despised. The golden ring captured his attention shortly, Abel wrestling it from Ben's hand. The golem's eyes gazed over the piece of jewellery, his mechanical body never finding a use for these flashy pieces. Slowly, the ring was moved in his fingers while he listened to Ben speak, Abel adjusting the angle to catch a glimpse at the names in it. There was a pause as the blond stared at the inscribed names, noticing the similar etchings of his own, but ultimately denying it despite the insistence of his heart; it had to be another Abel McCroft. Considering the contradictory statements this complete stranger create in contrast to his mother's, he had to be mistaking him.
[break][break]
"How ridiculous. Rings like this only have monetary value, although, this inscription only lowers the value," he mumbled heartlessly.
[break][break]
Never discovering the soft touch of love after his return resulted in a bitter coldness towards trivial things such as wedding rings, the golem unable to realize the emotional value it held to a person. Whenever he glanced at these pieces of jewellery, he merely saw a thin band of metal that occasionally housed a jewel. Promptly, his eyes returned to Ben, shortly widening in surprise to the welling tears in the lich's eyes; why was he so attached to this ring?

[attr="class","lovemad2"]
A glare settled in Abel's brow as he tightened his grip around Ben in a desperate attempt to keep the man still. The squirming created immense difficulty in ceasing the stranger's movements, the golem possessing no desire to release him. Within his chest was a peculiar sensation, the odd fluttering sensation of his heart-core; similar to a heartbeat. Did he enjoy this close proximity? The concept was immediately shoved away, the bounty hunter insisting that his lack of familiarity with the green-haired man made the notion impossible! Finding jovial emotions from closeness was beyond a creature of his calibre; his mission was to capture and receive the attractive price of a bounty. However, why did he discover the intense need to ask his inquiries? For the entire instance of desiring answers, the luxurious offer of payment did not affect his thought process, but rather how he managed to upset this attractive man. The yelling in response only resulted in Abel's eyebrows furrowing in confuse; he was the victim of a mere accident, not a murder.
[break][break]
"What the hell are you talking about?! MY DEATH WAS AN ACCIDENT, NOT A MURDER!" Abel exclaimed.
[break][break]
Nobody informed the golem of the truthful circumstances around his mysterious death; it was merely an accident. From what Abel was aware of, the details haunted his unfortunate mother who would become on the brink of tears from the mere mentioning of his demise. The secret brutality was something that Abel believed he could never become aware of, although, this man appeared to lack the details if he believed he was murdered! The sudden resigning to the fate of being turned in for the bounty that lingered over his head. An aching feeling enveloped the golem's heart as his stare became oddly gentle towards his bounty; he never meant to upset him, all he desired was to earn the generous bounty placed on his head.
[break][break]
"I really don't remember," Abel mumbled, slowly shifting his position.
[break][break]
Guilt began generating over his lack of memory, the blond mentally apologizing for losing an extensive amount of memories from the accident that stole them. He wished he could wake up and remember everything in a single night, but it was another impossibility; amnesiacs could not recover within a few days. The sudden screaming towards his accusation of Ben lying only resulted in Abel rolling his eyes. Relying on the words of unfamiliar people was difficult, even if his heart continue assisting that this green-haired beauty was being truthful.
[break][break]
"Whatever! I can't remember! If you forgot everything from before you died, would you trust a random guy you met on the street?!" Abel countered, still glaring.
[break][break]
His stare continued to fixate on Ben, the golem watching as the mysterious man grabbed the ring. The blond's eyes focused on where the hand closed, lifting an eyebrow in curiosity. Why was that material possession so valuable? The only worth of rings is the monetary value they could fetch at a market; people paid excellent for rings in good condition.
[break][break]
"What is that for?" Abel inquired.
[break][break]
There was something insisting towards the importance of the ring, almost as though mentioning it was crucial. While his heart continuing insisting, Abel only saw the possible money earned from it. The concept was a bonus to the generous bounty provided which sounded incredible to the greedy golem. Slowly, he shifted into a sitting position to keep Ben still, his hand reaching to attempt to pry his target's hand's away from the ring he held.

Notes of pain coursed through Abel's body as he chased after Benjamin with a steely determination inside his robotic eyes. The sensation created from the phantom pains was faint, being generated from the aftermath of tasing the man who claimed to be his soulmate. Could he possibly be truthful in these claims? Proof weighed heavily on the supposed stranger's favour, especially considering the sensory of injury. The thought was praised somewhere within the bounty hunter's heart, insisting towards it as he desperately raced after Benjamin. There was confliction from the statements created by his mother and this mysterious man, and despite their interaction being briefed, the golem found himself more inclined to believe his fleeing target. The suspicion towards the possible usage of magic, but there were those voices preaching against the concept. The chase continued, Abel activating his enhanced speed to desperate shorten the distance between himself and Benjamin.
[break][break]
The aching feeling consumed his heart, the scene of his target fleeing, as though this individual was more important than expected. There was a shout aimed towards Abel, the golem flinching at the sentence that managed to sting his heart. Suddenly, the tables turned as the stranger attempted to push him away. While he continued chasing, the bounty hunter prayed that Benjamin would cease the fleeing, especially since his energy was beginning drain. Empty batteries was a detrimental situation for the blond, leaving him defenceless until he managed to charge. The direness captured in losing his power was forgotten as Abel's eyes fixated on Benjamin; he needed to explain everything. These emotions that tormented would not cease the torture until he managed to speak with this man. There was an abrupt sensation of phantom pain when Benjamin crashed into the pole, Abel pulling through the pain in a desperate attempt to close the distance. The steps continued, Abel eyes widening as he managed to get within tackling distance of Benjamin.
[break][break]
The golem leaped forward with his arms extended once Benjamin moved slightly away from the pole. While his mechanical body could result in a heavier fall, Abel knew he needed to keep his supposed soulmate from moving. Once the bounty hunter felt his cheek collide with Benjamin's chest, he wrapped his arms tightly around the lich in an attempt to keep him from leaving. They collapsed to the ground, the golem maintaining his tight grip around his target's waist. The words spoken resulted in Abel adjusting himself to gaze at Benjamin, a glare across his eyes.
[break][break]
"YOU THINK I CHASED YOU FOR JUST A BOUNTY?!" He shouted, although, it sounded like something the greedy golem would accomplish. "You claim to know me, so why did nobody tell me about you when I came back?! TELL ME NOW!"
[break][break]
Gathering answers became the new necessity for Abel, the golem planning to possibly turn over the mysterious man after they provided him with the words he desired to hear. While he waited for Benjamin to speak, the bounty hunter continued staring, the slightest hints of red touching his cheeks from being close to his shirtless target; HE HATED THE TECHNOLOGY THEY ADDED TO INDICATE HIS FEELINGS! While the embarrassment was immense, there was a strange sense of comfort, almost as though this closeness existed between them for years.
My my, I just can't lie It's the speed and the sound that I'm dying to try

[attr="class","lovemad2"]
Anger flared across Abel's face as he crawled closer to Ben, a glare crossing his brow when his target began scooting backwards. This peculiar suffering and strange phantom pains were not foreign sensations, the bounty hunter remembering the strange pains that randomly occurring through his days. Could it be possible this mysterious individual be the spawning of those abrupt pains? It increased the golem's requirement to eradicate the nuisance from his life. There was a silence, the lich avoiding answering the numerous inquiries which only infuriated him further. The conversation was obviously finished, but Abel continued advancing in hopes of convincing him otherwise. While he remained tempted to continue causing pain, something inside began insisting against it, screaming about the horrible treatment of this man. The mysterious magic between them insisted against the abhorrent treatment.
[break][break]
Words were stated, the golem confused about the various statements this attractive, green-haired man said. The marriage was mentioned, the blond's faulty memory accompanied by the lacking in information made him unable to understand. Emotions reigned within the words, his target clearly upset for the claims he created. The mentioning of the divorce resulted in his heart-aching, going lengths to make something within him desire to cry in response, however, he resisted. The yelling annoyed Abel slightly, his deplorable memory; his inability to remember was not his fault! Once Benjamin raised from the floor, the golem was hasty to follow, pushing himself up from the hard ground. Before the bounty hunter could speak, his target continued speaking, the words sinking into Abel's heart as a mild shake entered his body from the upsetting decision.
[break][break]
"WAIT! I AM NOT LYING! I CAN'T REMEMBER!" Abel shouted, hoping Ben would listen.
[break][break]
A shield was created, the blood separating them and resulting in a slight backpedal from the barrier, believing in the possible offensive manoeuvre. There were the subtle sounds of footsteps as his target retreated, guilt promptly entering the golem. A flinch crossed Abel face, the bounty hunter slamming into the barrier composed of blood. After a few moments, he managed to break through, something inside compelling him to chase after the individual he harmed on a mental level. Tones of anger continued pulsing through Abel's vein accompanied by the guilt. HOW COULD HE BELIEVE THAT HE WAS ATTEMPTING TO FORGET HIM?! HE DID NOT REMEMBER ANYTHING PRIOR TO HIS AWAKE AFTER DEATH!
[break][break]
"BEN! COME BACK! I WASN'T TRYING TO HURT YOUR FEELINGS, DAMMIT!" Abel shouted, attempting to get the rubbing to cease. "PLEASE! GIVE ME A FUCKING CHANCE! I CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER!"
[break][break]
Somewhere inside, he craved the attention of this beautiful, green-haired man; almost as though it was suddenly required for survival. There were strange notes of nostalgia from his romantic thoughts, the golem finding himself unable to understand the strange feelings coursing through his veins. There was a connection between them, Abel unable to comprehend the nature of the binding between each other. Hastily, the bounty hunter chased his target, no longer fixating on the price that formerly lingered above the man's head, but instead desiring to correct himself and end the aching within his crystal heart.
[break][break]
"I AM BEGGING YOU! COME BACK!" Abel called.
[break][break]
The slightest hints of sorrow broke into the man's expression as he ran after Ben. Determination entered Abel, the golem activating his enhanced speed in a desperate attempt to catch up. Weariness was claiming him the longer he continued using his abilities, battery power gradually draining. Distress was evident as Abel attempted to close the distance with plans to leap forward in hopes of tackling Ben back towards the ground.
My my, I just can't lie It's the speed and the sound that I'm dying to try

There was a narrowing to Abel's gaze as his eyes locked onto the green-haired target who dared to make false claims. Marriage was never an interest of his, the golem's mother never informing him about any husband. Certainly, this would be a crucial information for his return to the living, thus the bounty hunter found difficulty believing his target. From prior knowledge, he presumed the statement was merely a ploy to possibly gain mercy. Mother would never feed him a torrent of lies, especially considering she was the woman who raised him after the horrible incident that ended his life. She forged his personality, teaching him the wonders of life again and even treating him with kindness towards his temporary dependence; she allowed him to live with her until he was stable. The mentioning of his birth certificate brought a deadpanned expression to Abel's face as he rolling his eyes. The statement had an obvious truth considering his constant screaming against his birth name, but the golem did not understand the necessity of mentioning it.
[break][break]
"JUST BECAUSE IT IS ON A DAMN CERTIFICATE DOESN'T MEAN I NEED TO USE IT! NOW SHUT UP!" Abel screamed angrily.
[break][break]
After realizing the name was connected to the bullying he vaguely remembered, the golem decided to renounce the name. Nothing positive appeared to arrive with the name 'Abel' which created a desire to start fresh as Flynn. There was a moment of quiet as he listened to his target continue, stating both his first and last name alongside claiming to be his husband. Instantly, the golem believed the statement to be an absolute lie. Marriage was a word never associated with him, and nowadays it became unlikely that somebody would marry a monstrous creation like himself; there was no golden band to bind him to another individual.
[break][break]
"CONVENIENCE! I HAVE NEVER BEEN MARRIED AND NOBODY WOULD EVER MARRY SOMEBODY LIKE ME!" Abel yelled. "WHY ARE YOU SO INSISTENT TOWARDS THIS?! I NEVER HAD A HUSBAND, NEVER GOT TOLD ABOUT ANY HUSBAND AND HAVE NEVER HEARD OF YOU!"
[break][break]
The golem remained unaware of the abrasiveness captured in his words as he unknowingly generated sadness for the person who loved him intensely. His mother had neglected to provide information about his lover, the individual who filled his years with immense joy and affection. Witnessing Benjamin turn around, facing him while he remained on the floor. The bounty hunter kept his arm aimed, preparing to shoot the target that continuously irritated him. The taser was turned up, Abel narrowing his eyes before firing the electrical shot at the man. Everything changed instantly as suddenly a phantom pain pulsated through his body, intense and hurtful. The pain was uncharacteristic considering the durable nature of his body, resulting in Abel collapsing to his knees, hugging himself as the phantom sensation passed through his body. It felt as though somebody had shocked him in a desperate attempt to fry his circuits. Slowly, Abel's gaze lifted to notice the phone in the man's eyes but ignored it to merely glare at the individual. Why did he experience phantom pains that replicated the ones this green-haired individual experienced?
[break][break]
"WHY DO I SENSE YOUR FUCKING PAIN?! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO ME?!" The golem shouted.
[break][break]
Despite the unlikelihood, Abel believed the phantom pain was the result of a strange type of magic his target inflicted on him for defensive purposes. Silently, the golem continuing glaring at the man with confidence that his target would be unable to properly move on account of the taser. The green-haired man accomplished the mysterious task that required his phone, only to suddenly smash the phone. There was a loud thud as the screen was shattering, the smacking continuing and Abel shortly sensing another series of phantom pains.
[break][break]
"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?! AND STOP DOING THAT! WHATEVER FUCKING MAGIC YOU ARE PULLING, YOU BETTER STOP!" Abel screamed at the man.
[break][break]
There was anger filtering through Abel's veins as he crawled closer, his arms reaching up in an attempt to pin Benjamin against the ground. Should the pin be successful, he planned to straddle the man to keep him against the ground to continue the yelling session with this irritating individual.
My my, I just can't lie It's the speed and the sound that I'm dying to try

There were portions of broken glass dislodged as Abel smoothly passed through the gap. It sprinkled onto the hard asphalt, smaller pieces managing to tangle into the threads of his grey, sleeveless hoodie. The numerous sharper wedges that remained held within the frame lacked the capability to cause damage to the metal exterior of Abel's golem body; he was designed with durability in mind. He landed in a crouch, the landing smooth and painless, his metallic soles receiving no damage from the glass that littered the ground. After a few moments of watching the green-haired stranger run did the blond burst forward from the crouch, his mechanism allowing to move with superior speed and dexterity than that of a human. The golem's determination to capture Ben was increasing considering the man's annoying insistence to refer to him by the name he rejected entirely. While he ran, his speed gradually escalated as the real chase began.
[break][break]
There was a peculiar sensation as Abel sprinted after his long-haired target. Phantom pains sparked across the soles of his feet, something that held vague familiarity to the golem. These instances were rather frequent, oftentimes limited to smaller pains that would occur randomly, although, they felt endless. It felt as though rocks were lodging into his feet, but Abel was aware of the impossibility; the metal plating would not yield to pebbles. At the mentioning of a marriage certificate, the bounty hunter glared at the man.
[break][break]
"MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE?! I HAVE NEVER BEEN MARRIED! WHO THE HELL WOULD GET THE IDEA TO MARRY ME?!" He exclaimed, infuriated by the suggestion.
[break][break]
There were no memories of Benjamin, Abel's memories long shattered since the incident; mother informed him of how he gained amnesia because of the circumstances revolving around his early death. The chasing proceeded, the bounty hunter charging up the taser to prepare to fire another round towards the running target, although, it became pointless. A peculiar sensation of phantom pain shot through his leg, the pain possessing enough strength to make the golem flinch. His yellow eyes remained fixated on his target, watching as balance was lost and shortly accompanied by a fall to the asphalt; alongside more phantom pains. These painful sensations appeared to link up with his target, but Abel remained uncertain at the prospect of sharing another individual's pain; he swore he heard about these links in a book somewhere. The running continued, only slowing when the blond managed to get into close proximity of his target.
[break][break]
Hastily, he moved his taser towards the green-haired man, going the length to accumulate extra power to create a nasty sting as a punishment for Ben's insistence to call him 'Abel'. The bounty hunter watched as the man flipped onto his back, inquiring about the possibility of being an imposter.
[break][break]
"Whatever Abel you knew died to create this one," he stated bluntly. "Now, I hope that we are done here."
[break][break]
Without any more hesitation, the golem shot out the taser he created with the intention of stunning Ben. He still needed to drag the green-haired man back to the order and receive his reward. The objective needed completion, Abel certain that he could carry out the wishes of his organization.
My my, I just can't lie It's the speed and the sound that I'm dying to try

[attr="class","lovemad2"]
There was something peculiar when Abel noticed his target staring at him. While the golem easily deduced that they were connected prior to his evolution, he found himself oddly uneasy by this green-haired man's staring; almost as though his opinions were beyond the gods. It was unexplainable, but yet, possessed some vague familiarity. Somewhere there was a voice screaming at him, informing him that this individual held an importance beyond anybody else. There was something supernatural insisting towards it, almost as though several invisible strings connected them together. After a few moments, Abel narrowed his eyes as his countenance shifted to a menacing glower. Obviously, if this man was significant, he had to be a primary tormentor from his childhood, correct? Currently, it remained as the golem's only theory, leaving his deadset on the notion.
[break][break]
When a smile stretched across his target's face at the mentioning of the taser, Abel lifted an eyebrow in confusion. Despite being on numerous missions, the bounty hunter had never been acquainted with somebody who could possibly enjoy being painfully tased. This man was peculiar, even going lengths of giving Abel a sense of positive familiarity. Why was he receiving these wonderful sensations from merely seeing this individual? The golem began charging up the shot, blue shining from the vents of his arm, although, there was hesitation when the man spoke. Anger and confusion crossed the golem's face while he glared at his target.
[break][break]
"WHAT?! WHY THE HELL SHOULD I LET YOU DO THAT?! JUST HOLD STILL AND LET ME SHOOT YOU SO I CAN TAKE YOU IN!" The golem shouted, irritation touching his words.
[break][break]
Before he gained the opportunity to fire, the peculiar man removed the slip. There were rarely targets that would undress in front of him, but Abel found his eyes lingering over the form. Even the green-haired man's body seemed oddly familiar to the golem. After a few moments of pointless staring, the blond averted his eyes as red tinted the artificial skin. There was an attractive essence that Abel discovered in the target, although, he could not explain the spontaneous appearance of these fruitless thoughts. Nobody could possibly gain an affinity for monsters like him; it was impossible. The sudden undressing had caught his attention, hesitating his shot until the sounds of unique movement could be heard. When Abel's yellow eyes returned to the scene, his eyes narrowed into a glare as he noticed the shield of darkness. The sounds of movement by the window were noticed, the golem's eyes flitting towards the area as his target spoke.
[break][break]
Anger began elevating as the man appeared to be on the other side of the window and invoked that pathetic name again. Without hesitation, he ran towards the open window and smoothly slid through the crack.
[break][break]
"IT'S FLYNN!" He shouted as he landed outside. "YOU MUST REALLY WANT THIS GODDAMN TASER TO HURT!"
[break][break]
Hastily, the bounty hunter scanned his surroundings, eyes locking onto his target as he began to follow. There was no possibility that he could allow this long-haired man to escape. Motivation was generated from the high bounty placed on the man's head alongside his infuriating need to use that horrible name. Once Abel began moving, his running speed began ticking upwards as his enhanced speed surged through him. The drain in battery power was perpetually risky, but the golem required it to capture this aggravating target.
My my, I just can't lie It's the speed and the sound that I'm dying to try

[attr="class","lovemad2"]
The weather outside was unpleasantly warm with Celsius gradually ticking upwards as time progressed, gradually becoming the afternoon. The endless blue sky remained void of clouds, only increasing the heat. Despite the rather miserable heat, Abel had prepared himself for another session of completing missions at the request of the Hallow Order. There was a large bounty on the head of a man named Benjamin that fancied the golem's greed stupendously. Thus, Abel dressed in his usual clothing of a sleeveless hoodie and a pair of simple blue jeans of a loose fit; his temperature resistance kept the articles as favourable. The clothing choice revealed his mechanical arms, the sunlight glistening against their surface from the meticulous cleaning care they received.
[break][break]
Quietly, the golem moved down the sidewalks, earning gazes from his peculiar appearance. Nobody remained aware of his destination, Abel even taking precaution to take several indirect routes that kept him off course for a few moments; he preferred to limit the possibility of other individuals getting involved in his capturing. It was obnoxious to deal with individuals who attempted to detour him from mission completion. There was a single objective after all, which was to capture him and take him to the Hallow Order for his reward. That was the way all missions were required to proceed, and Abel was determined to continue the ritual with this individual. After a few more minutes of walking, Abel paused in front of a house, fetching his phone from the depths of his pocket and gazing at the screen. The picture was compared to the actual thing, making it obvious that this was the location his target occupied.
[break][break]
A few more moments were taken to give attention towards his phone for information, Abel stopping at the bus stop; at least than he would appear to be waiting. Another glance was given towards the bounty advertisement, the golem raising an eyebrow at the peculiar familiarity the face accompanied by the name held. Why did this man seem familiar? A sigh escaped Abel's lips as he plunged the phone back into his pocket and surveyed the house, entering through the back door with smooth ease. The golem stealthily crept through the house, the sounds of music reaching his ears while he continued through the structure. He followed the noise, carefully opening the door of what appeared to be the private quarters. Despite the music, Abel slowly entered the room, keeping caution to the possible noises he could make. His robotic eyes surveyed the area, momentarily switching to infrared to make certain there was another individual in the room.
[break][break]
Once the confirmation was made, Abel continued further into the room to discover an interesting situation. Confusion touched the bounty hunter's face as he found his target swaying his hips while pressing a yellow dress against himself. The golem lifted an eyebrow, confused by the peculiar action; was this normal for the male gender? Although Abel thought the dress flattered the overall shape of his bounty, he still found difficulty comprehending the strange actions; he has never seen a male target do this. When his target finally noticed him, the bounty hunter found himself preparing for combat only to be greeted with an unfortunate surprise. The strange man spoke his first name, resulting in the golem stiffening and glaring at the individual. WHERE HAD HE LEARNED THAT HORRIBLE NAME?! The dress was dropped, Abel clenching his fists; if this man knew his true name, perhaps he was one of the bullies from his youth.
[break][break]
It was becoming obvious that his target knew him from prior to the accident that resulted in his monstrous transformation. That explained the peculiar familiarity with the individual, but their relationship mattered little to the bounty hunter. This man was a criminal, and currently, Abel was given the task of arresting him. The thoughts did not cease the surging anger from the name Abel being used opposed to Flynn, the name he insisted on going by; Abel was the names the more horrible individuals used. His mother had informed him plenty about it, providing an extensive explanation about their teasing towards his name after Abel prompted the subject.
[break][break]
"WHERE THE HELL DID YOU LEARN THAT NAME?!" Abel shouted, glaring. "IT'S FLYNN OR I WILL MAKE THIS TASER ESPECIALLY HURT YOU!"
[break][break]
Without hesitation, the golem lifted his arm, the setting being electricity with plans to tase the bounty. Answers could be gathered later, but currently, Abel wanted to capture his prize and be done with him. There was a moment taking for aiming until the bounty hunter fired the tasing round in hopes of successfully hitting the target. If Abel was correct and this individual was one of his tormentors, there was no possibility that he would allow for him to escape. Especially considering this man, who went by Benjamin, appeared keen on using that pathetic name.
The Hallow Order is a group of bounty hunters who hunt down criminals, Assembly members and even terrors on the behalf of the public. They are an organization that has been functioning for about 300 years and has mostly remained limited to locations within Canada. Unlike the RCMP and TRS, the Hallow Order is known for unorthodox methods and even provide permission for their members to kill should the target be considered incredibly dangerous. They will trap people for information or downright threaten others so they can capture the bounty on criminals since it is the primary objective. The way the organization function is via a specially made phone app that allows citizens to submit missions and members to take them. The Hallow Order has been known to steal missions from the TRS as a result of this.
There was specific means to which a member can gain money. Bringing a bounty/criminal in alive will earn more than providing a corpse for the person. They do not take assassination mission since their protocol states that only extremely dangerous bounties can be killed should it be required. The more dangerous the mission, the higher the yields for the hunter. The Hallow Order does provide maintenance for golems that work with them alongside medical care for the various other members. Suspensions can be made as a result of reckless behavior. Being exiled from the group can be as a result of constant, deliberate law breaking, betrayal, or general lacking of skill.
rankings
Throughout the organization, there are ranks that dictate the power and capabilities of the members alongside their authority. The higher the rank an individual gets to, the more authority they will have over those below them. Higher ranking individuals tend to get first dibs on missions. Rankings can be lost as a result of poor skills, lack of professionalism and various other reasons for demotion.
Leader The ruler of the organization's branch in Lorsette, Newfoundland. They are responsible for a majority of the paperwork and mission assigning. Since this is a wanted ad, I do have some personal requirements for the leader particularly. I would prefer them to be somebody that is strong and independent, even going lengths to possibly be a bit ill-tempered. The point is, I want a tougher character here since that is the personality I feel the leader would have.
Second-in-Command The second-in-command in the Lorsette Branch. They are commonly assisting with paperwork and assisting to keep order among the various members.
The Felbrawlers The highest ranking of regular members. Felbrawlers are strong and capable, oftentimes showing their ability with mission completion. They rarely need assistance taking down criminals and are the most prone to being handed dangerous missions if they remain uncompleted for too long.
The Battleshrouds The second highest ranking for regular members. Battleshrouds are at a middling point of power since they are in the limbo between the lowest and highest. They would require some assistance with missions on occasion and are usually handed missions that are left uncompleted for too long. These mission tend to be within the center of the spectrum as of danger.
The Scavengers The lowest rank within the regular members. Scavengers are all that are new to the organization or simply possess low power compared to the various other members. They tend to be handed the leftovers of low ranking missions when they are not completed. This means any missions with lower yields or simply little activity can be forcefully placed on them.
The Associates This is anybody not directly affiliated with the bounty hunter section of the Hallow Order. This includes medical personal, researchers, golem maintenance teams, investors and various other positions featured within the Hallow Order.

Post below and you will be added to the roster. If you want to change your rank, please just post back here and I will edit it. Positions are currently OPEN for the Hallow Order. Should positions be closed, please do not post here unless they open up again. I will monitor this and likely not allow too many members considering this is meant to be a neutral group related to my character.
There is a mechanical essence to Abel considering a majority of his golem components are visible most of the time. He comes in at a towering height of 6’3”, his body having a muscular appearance due to the shaping of his more metal components. A big portion of his body lacks flesh, his facial constructs being the only feature to have artificially made flesh placed over it; the artificial flesh is fair in colour. The remainder of his body is metal alongside various more electronic components that work towards operating him. The primary colouring of his metal body is black with portions of dark grey most specifically marking his arms, shoulders and the upper section of his chest cavity. The body itself is sculpted to make Abel’s shoulder appear fairly broad and his body generally fit. A majority of the visible metal pieces are platting designed to protect the electronics hidden beneath. It is incredibly durable, even having a layer of waterproofing in order to protect Abel from his worse enemy. These plates have their share of dents and scratch marks, but anything incredibly broken gets replaced or restored. There are a series of small ventilation shafts as a result of his abilities alongside translucent materials that allow for some of his abilities to show. When is accessing the fire portion, these accesses will become a vivid orange, when accessing electricity or redirecting it, they become blue. In his human body, Abel only has a metallic skeleton with a well-toned suit of artificial flesh covering it; this flesh is also fair. This body has condensed metallic sections meant to allow his head/heart core connect to the rest of his body.
Despite being mostly mechanical, Abel does still possess hair in order to allow for a more human aspect to his appearance; naturally, complete humanity was never achieved. His hair is messy and blond, rarely being given treatment other than a rough brushing. When it comes to Abel’s eyes, they are unnatural as a result of the small amount of electronic constructs behind them. The sclera of the eye is coloured black, the iris being a ring of bright yellow and the pupil black; this tends to make him more frightening. The yellow ring of his eye does glow subtly in darkness. Facial wise, Abel has not changed incredibly, with his face still being rather sharp in the aspect of shape. The sides of his face lead down into a pointed chin, his face itself being rather thin with cheekbones being set higher. His nose is average sized, the tip being pointed. His ears are pierced, oftentimes only being accessorized with small, silvery studs and nothing else.
Clothes commonly cover the torso of his body alongside his legs. Arms are oftentimes left open, Abel going lengths to rip the sleeves off of shirts that go to his wrists; he finds his vents breath easier without the fabric. This oftentimes means that Abel is wearing tank tops to reveal the robotic arms he frequently uses in combat. He prefers loose-fitting clothing that allows for stretching and easy movement, anything too constricting oftentimes receiving rips. Footwear is an optional factor for Abel, but when he does decide to wear some, it is usually combat boots. He always wears a belt around his waist that holds a pair of knives alongside a holster gun for emergency cases.
Flamethrower -- Intermediate Within Abel’s arms are the makings of a flamethrower that can be switched into an electricity launcher, switching takes about 20 seconds. The fire itself is fired from the palm of Abel’s hand. Similar to most flamethrowers, Abel does require using flammable fuel in order to access the function, meaning if his fuel gets drained he won’t be able to create flames. He can only create flames at the highest, which is oftentimes limited to 1000°C, sometimes higher, but this does result in more fuel drainage. The flames can only go the way that Abel is aiming them, and since he is a golem he cannot manipulate them. This means that other fire manipulators can use this ability against Abel. Water can easily douse out the flames and should his arm get too wet, Abel may not be able to properly use the flamethrower function unless he spends time heating it up high enough to evaporate the water.
Electric Launcher -- Intermediate The second function of Abel’s arms is to launch electricity from the palm of his hand. This launcher can best be described as more finicky than the flamethrower. While Abel can reach high voltages of electricity, shooting it is not always straightforward. The more energy placed into the strike, the more difficult it can me to aim; Abel can not manipulate this either. The electricity can also be redirected by lightning rods should they be close enough. Tasing shots are weaker, tending to be easier to aim than shots designed to do more damage to the other person. Furthermore, the electric launcher runs off the batteries that power a majority of Abel’s body, meaning that using it can come at the risk of eliminating his other abilities. Although, due to the constructs being there, Abel is capable of redirecting electricity and even using it to recharge his body. The charges he gets from this is minor and usually Abel has to have the electricity hit one hand and redirect it out of the other.
Enhanced Strength -- Advanced Due to his golem body, Abel is capable of accessing incredible amounts of strength. This means that he can do immense damage to others alongside buildings and various other structures. He is tremendously stronger than that of a regular human being, even going lengths to be able to stop the moment of a speeding train with his strength. He has excellent control over the ability, being capable of ceasing or invoking it at will. The main banes of this power is those who are a tier higher in the strength department, going to a superhuman strength above him; they can overpower him. Furthermore, this ability does rely on his batteries, meaning that without power, Abel is unable to access it. As time goes on, this ability will drain his battery power. Destroying certain sections of his body can also cease the functioning of this ability, specifically the sections that allow his strength to be enhanced.
Enhanced Speed -- Intermediate The constructs of Abel’s body allows him to accessed an enhanced version of speed, allowing him to move faster than an average human being. He can react quickly to certain events, run faster and even move his various limbs quicker. Reaction time is linked to senses, meaning that if Abel is unable to see or hear the other person, they can easily attack him without him reacting in time. Speed can also lead to moments of running into walls depending on how fast Abel is going and how much time he needs to decelerate; making this ability sometimes difficult to use in close-quarter situations. Similar to his strength, Abel needs to use power from his battery in order to access his enhanced speed, meaning no battery power can make it unusable. This ability does drain battery and destroying certain sections of Abel’s body can make it more difficult to use.
Enhanced Eyesight -- Natural Abel is capable of accessing numerous forms of sight, including infrared, night vision, blood-flow vision and x-ray. His sight is better than that of an average human being, allowing for him to see things better, allowing for more clarity. Infrared allows for him to see temperatures, but can be distorted by other extreme temperatures. Night vision allows for him to see in absolute darkness, however, it fails in artificial. Blood-flow vision allows for him to see the blood flow of a living beings. X-ray allows for him to see through walls, although, his field of sight does get shorter while he is using this ability. Unlike a majority of his abilities, his eyesight runs solely off of the heartcore placed in his head, allowing for him to use it no matter the circumstances. Bright, strobing lights can easily disorient him as a result of his enhanced vision.
Pain Suppression -- Natural Being mostly a machine makes is immensely difficult to actually cause pain to Abel. You can damage and dent his armor, but that section does not make him feel immense pain. Once the armor is broken through is when Abel starts to feel slight pangs of pain, but this remains suppressed. Even ripping off one of Abel’s arms barely results in the man flinching from the pain being inflicted. Although, damages to the head alongside melting does inflict more pain than merely pounding away at Abel. While his heartcore is remains well-plated, since the only way to truly kill him is by destroying it, it can suffer minor damages that take time to heal. When the heartcore gets damaged, Abel feels an immense pain that can stun him. Melting becomes a more agonizing spurt of pain since the heat alongside destruction of his body would hurt immensely.
Enhanced Durability -- Natural Being practically a fighting machine, Abel has numerous armor plates covering his body. These plates act as a waterproofing for Abel, and can take an immense amount of blows before being damaged incredibly. Essentially, he is designed to take a physical beating which means usually just punching away at Abel will not due much damage. He can take about two-three blows from a brute before his plates start giving away. While Abel is durable against physical hits, he remains weaker against more magic based attacks. This means magic will inflict more damage and break through the plating. Furthermore, the armor is removable for the sake of repairs, which means a fast enough person can remove the armor which would leave Abel vulnerable to most attacks.
Temperature Resilience -- Natural Due to the heating and ventilation programs, this does mean that Abel does have some temperature resistance. The metal used for his body is rather fire resistant, although, can be melted at extremely high temperatures. Cold is mostly handled by heating channels, making it harder for frost to claim Abel’s joints during winter. Unfortunately, this system runs off of battery power which means if his battery power gets too low or runs out, he can easily be frozen. Abel is vulnerable to extreme temperatures still, the electronic portions of his body sometimes having difficult functioning in extremely cold or warm temperatures. He is more resilient to heat than cold.
Electronic Power Drain -- Intermediate In desperate situations, Abel can drain power from electronics to recharge his battery. This makes the electronic completely lose power and short-circuit. Despite this ability, Abel can not drain from power plants and houses or else the sudden receival of vast amounts of power will result in an explosion. This limits him to items that have lower power yields, the highest he can take from being a large truck and smaller electric train (a few freights). The transfer of electricity becomes lower as it is given to Abel, making it more of a small boost than anything significant.
Weaknesses & Concerns
Water: When it comes to water, Abel would be quick to state it is his worst enemy. Those capable of manipulate water can cut through his armor if they make the water thin enough. Furthermore, his body runs mostly off of electricity, meaning that he can be overflowed with water and incapacitated as a result. This does take enough water to completely immerse him for at least 10 seconds, but nonetheless is still an issue. While people do require breaking through the waterproof armor, they can easily defeat him afterwards.
Fire: Flames that reach incredibly high temperatures can melt the armor plates. While the process would be slow and it does take intense flames, this is incredibly painful to Abel and can result in certain sections of his body not functioning.
Technopathy: A majority of his body is a powerhouse of technology, which means a skilled technopath can control Abel. While this does take a lot of effort, a skilled technopath is capable of even making certain abilities activate without Abel’s permission.
Metal Manipulation: A good portion of Abel’s body is covered in metal, which means people capable of manipulating it can cause problems. Once again, this takes a lot of effort since the metal is, in a way, controlled by Abel’s heartcore, but nonetheless can allow for him to be moved like a puppet or destroyed.
Battery: With most of Abel’s abilities running off, it means that running out can easily make him have difficulty. Those who can drain energy from technology can drain Abel’s battery if they have enough power. Depending on usage, Abel’s battery can last roughly a week before requiring a full charge.
Maintenance: Maintaining Abel's body is easier than most, but oftentimes when sections are completely destroyed, it can take 2-3 weeks to rebuild, replace or fix. In this time, they move Abel to his more human body which is more vulnerable to attack. When the entire body is destroyed, it can take a month or two depending on the circumstances and situation.
Human Body: This body is more fleshy which a mechanical skeleton. In this body, Abel can only truly access his enhanced strength, speed and durability, but to a lesser degree than in his mechanical one.
backstory
The McCroft family was always a quiet group that lived within the city of Lorsette. Carter McCroft was a meek man, finding it difficult to converse with people and oftentimes landing himself in compromising positions. He was spineless, unable to state no to anybody, which resulted in him marrying Victoria, a vicious and stubborn woman. Ultimately, the ideals between the parents left people questioning of the relationship, and rightfully so. They bickered plenty, Victoria constantly winning the arguments due to the incredibly meek attitude Carter. Eventually, Victoria persuaded Carter into having children with her, stating that it would fix the relationship. Naturally, Carter agreed due to his shyness which brought forth the birth of their only son, Abel. In the beginner, Abel was a short child, even being underweight upon birth which always brought concerns to the family. This was not befitting for Victoria’s ideals, the woman was expecting perfection and that raising a child would be easy. After a few nights of being forced to stay up late, Victoria got bored of Abel, insisting to Carter that the child had to go. While a majority of the time Abel’s father was a meek man, he still had a benevolence in his heart and quietly rebuked against the decision. This infuriated Victoria, the pair arguing and Carter taking a portion of ridicule. That night Victoria left, and Abel’s father found a distaste for his mother.
At a young age, Abel became familiar with some of the woes of court, but never understood them. The legal battle for his custody was long, Victoria only desiring it to shatter his father. While his grandparents assisted, oftentimes caring for the child or helping with the legal efforts when Abel needed time with his father. Due to this, Carter became Abel’s only parental figure, making him unfamiliar with the concepts of mothers. There was an air of stress in the household during Abel’s vulnerable years, resulting in the young boy being quiet or entertaining himself with the toys scattered throughout the years. It made Abel incredibly shy, the young boy oftentimes hiding when it came to social interactions. The stress made it difficult for Carter to push Abel socially and furthermore the man was an enabler. This made school an extreme stress for the young child, his elementary years being difficult as his teachers attempted to push him, except, Abel was too shy.
As the child developed and grew, his family became free from the legal bindings and he remained in the custody of his father. Slowly, Abel became defined as a stereotypical nerd, finding books, video games and school interesting. Unfortunately, his shyness made him a victim of bullying from a young age. He was a vulnerable kid without a friend in the world, an easy victim to the malicious intents, his incredible shortness not assisting matters. There were always moments where bullies would steal something, holding it high above Abel who would struggle to try and reach due to his height. He was pushed, teased, the bullies oftentimes invoking his name to bother him further. Life was ultimately cruel for the young boy who oftentimes found himself trying to hide. He was afraid to tell his family and teaches after taking care of himself during his younger years. There had to be a way to handle it alone, there always was. The bullying left Abel feeling insecure, trapped, lonely and sorrowful, even going lengths to make him want to runaway to avoid it. He felt suffocated by the emotions, remaining uncertain about the incredible wonders of life that people mentioned.
He remained alone for several years, but things somewhat changed with sixth grade rolled in. Perhaps it was his shy nature, but Abel had never noticed the kid before he had walked through the school in girl’s clothing. Similar to the rest of the students, it caught the young child’s eye as he watched the person pass. The steady observation continued, Abel flinching when he watched his own tormentors attack him like the vicious sharks they were. Initially, Abel was clueless on how to tackle the situation, but his sympathises with the boy resulted in him approaching. Judging somebody over clothing choice seemed petty to Abel, thus he gradually began befriending the boy. This mysterious boy who was named Benjamin shortly transformed into a miracle in Abel’s life. No longer were those lonely feelings lurking and for once, he found himself desiring to push socialism, but only with Ben. For once, there was somebody who never took advantage of his vulnerability, which brought an unfamiliar happiness to Abel’s life that he enjoyed.
As years progressed, Abel began clinging to Ben, rarely separating from the boy as a result of his immense shyness. A majority of his classmates remained difficult to speak to, making Abel only comfortable socially around Ben. Yet, there was always tones of anxiety whenever he spoke to Ben, those concerns that he could possibly infuriated the most significant person in his life. Ever since sixth grade, Abel felt that Ben was the only person who was consistently around for him while his grandparents and father struggled to provide that luxury. Shortly around the age of 14, Abel began developing a crush on his close friend. It was proven by those lingering gazes and constant anxieties whenever Ben would speak to another individual; he feared losing his friend and secret crush. Despite his shyness, Abel would go to lengths to hug Ben since he both enjoyed it and desired for nobody to take him away. He supposed during those days, he was always self-conscious and anxious with some possibilities of having an anxiety disorder. While he cared deeply about his Ben, there were always numerous concepts on his mind, mostly revolving around his mother. Childhood had become accustomed to the notion of her no longer being around, but despite his inquiries, Abel’s father remained reluctant to provide the desired information. All he heard was those bits of information about his mother being horrible for leaving them and vague hints to her attitude, but it never cased Abel’s curiosity.
When Abel was 16, he entered the tenth grade and was still clinging to his precious Ben, holding onto the developed feelings. They had mostly isolated themselves from the other students, Abel only desiring Ben’s attention. He cared about his friend, even constantly fantasizing over the idea of dating his crush. Although, he had never expected his dreams to come true during his sophomore year. The instant Ben confessed his feelings, Abel felt his heart beating wildly and immediately launched into dating the man he cared about. Being around Ben in a more romantic sense brought wonder to Abel’s life considering he could display the feelings he harbored more openly to the person he cared about. Smiles, laughter, affection, it was everything the boy would dream it would have been falling into the deep end of love. Everything appeared perfect, and with graduation rapidly approaching, his relationship with Ben was flourishing alongside the curiosities towards his mother. Months were spent begging his father and grandparents for some information about the mysterious Victoria, but it was always refused. Their trust in Victoria was nonexistent, thus the curious Abel was provided with the craved information, resulting in a growing fascination and necessity for investigation. He began looking through some of the photo albums and logbooks of the house, but could rarely discover more than the occasional picture of him when he was a child being held by his mother; things only kept because his family loved him.
The investigations was interrupted when he left with his boyfriend to Las Vegas since their high school years were coming to a close. Normally, Abel was not much of a drinker, finding the bitter taste of alcohol and its effects disconcerting, although, Ben managed to convince him. He wanted to enjoy the entire evening with his boyfriend, but one drink led to another, then another and proceeded until Abel was practically wasted from the booze. For a majority of the night he was wobbly, clinging to Ben and having the slightest hints more boldness as a result of the alcohol. Gradually, alcohol consumption led to rushed decision making and the following morning, Abel woke with a nasty hangover and a wedding ring around his finger. During their drinking, Ben had proposed to which Abel accepted and they had been wedded, which was proven by a shotty wedding video. While being rather surprised, Abel had no qualms about suddenly being married Ben, finding the concept rather enjoyable. Their wedding in Las Vegas was kept a secret, Ben and Abel informing people that they merely got engaged. A new wedding was done, allowing for friends and family to attend and Abel was incredibly happy with his husband. This was a dream come true, but there was someone missing…
Mother was still an unknown factor, Abel still requiring to search her out. Over two years, Abel researched into finding his mother, not telling his husband in case the woman was indeed a horrible woman. After he made the proper discoveries, Abel got everything organized, even slipping a sleeping pill into his husband’s drink during the evening to make certain he would remain asleep. While Abel loved Ben immensely, he needed to find his mother, the woman who was a mystery to him. A note was left, words scrawled over stating the vague intention; My dear, Ben. I know you will be upset when you wake up and I am not there… I am sorry, I will come back, I promise. I love you. - Abel. Despite being immensely happy, Abel left, his curiosity drawing him away from the most significant person in his life. Essentially, the young boy fell off the earth, keeping himself hidden while he searched for the woman who gave birth to him. Unfortunately, there was a grave error in searching for Victoria since she was still bitter from her marriage with Carter, even keeping the surname solely to display that he was married to the spineless man.
In a small town in Quebec was where Abel found his mother, his hesitancy keeping him from her door for several days. Slowly, courage was rounded, the young man walking up the concrete steps and knocking on the white wooden door. The sounds of steps reverberated inside, his mother opening the door and noticing the familiar traits of Carter and herself. An explanation was given, Victoria inviting her son in by using a mask of sweetness. She deceived him, ultimately knocking the young man out and locking him in the basement. Inside his basement cell, Abel was well taken care of, Victoria providing all the essentials and speaking to him constantly. She learned plenty, like her son was a coward like Carter, married to man name Ben, oftentimes picked on in school and various other tidbits. Victoria hated the factors, desiring to change her son for what she defined as the better, which resulted in the construction of a weaponized body. She had intentions to make her son a weapon, a fighting machine to “prove” that her style of raising a child was better than Carter’s pathetic one. Thus, Abel was locked away from months while the body was built, Victoria wanting to destroy her former husband by making Abel into something he would fear. The husband? While he was just collateral damage as far as she was concerned.
After an entire year of being locked away and begging to see his precious Ben again, Abel was losing hope. Every evening he would cry himself to sleep, regretting leaving the place that had made him happy for so many years. Each time he would ask to leave, Victoria bitterly refused which left Abel feeling trapped. There was echoes through the basement, Victoria heading downstairs to which Abel stared, planning to convince his mother to allow him to leave again. His voice was muted the instant he witnessed the large knife in her hands and the threatening demeanor on his mother’s face. Sound broke free in a scream when the knife was aimed, puncturing delicate flesh as Abel was repeatedly stabbed until finally life faded from his eyes. People were always delicate, and their memories fragile…
---- ✿ ----
wake up… did all those precious things leave you? do you even remember your own voice? was death a harsh reality, or is being brought back to the living world worse? your memories… they are shattered, all scattered in fragments while others have been destroyed. all those terrible days where your tormentors invoked your name, when they teased you, hit you, bullied you, is that all you remember? to remember only the horrible will transform you into a bitter shell, leaving you cynical and angry… infuriated by the world, by the way you in particular were treated. your memories were shattered and the happiness connected to them destroyed.

There were only fragments of the memory that Abel once held when he woke in his new body. Flesh was replaced with metal, his body changing immensely from the once 5’3” man who was thin to a well-toned 6’3” mechanized one. Victoria was there, her words sweet as she began telling her son deceptions, like how he had been in an accident and has become this. Being naive from his fragmented memories, Abel believed her and allowed Victoria to mold him into her shape. Everything was perfect for the bitter woman, Victoria having stolen was wedding ring, hiding it away in case it meddled with her Abel; sometimes things were best left for later. Over the course of a year, Abel lived in Quebec with his mother, Victoria training him to be a soldier of sorts. Gradually, Abel adopted some traits from Victoria, resulting in him becoming a hot-headed and impulsive man. Although, Abel will never forget when he began feeling a strange series of pains erupt through his body, almost as though he was sensing torture. This confused Victoria, resulting in her closely watching her son. The day the pains ended, there was an incredible feeling of lonesomeness that Abel was unable to understand; why did he feel so lonely? Over the course of months, the young golem found himself unable to understand why he was feeling lonesome.
When Victoria deemed her creation ready, they moved to Lorsette where she convinced him to join the Hallow Order, a group of bounty hunters. During his time in the Hallow Order, Abel began discovering how much he loved danger, going lengths to take dangerous missions. Whenever he would get harmed, he would pick himself back up and keep going despite the pain. Over the course of about 4 years, Abel worked his way up the rungs of the Hallow Order, finding himself content around them since they satisfy his need for danger alongside his greed. Although, during one mission he went out to take somebody in, his body armed and prepared for combat, only to discover a man wearing a claiming to be his husband.
