Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
Crooked smile crossing her ruby red lips, makeup maintaining an artificial beauty as a young woman quietly passed by the TRS headquarters from a distance. They were busy, obvious by the constant bustle, thus they never thought twice about the disguised leader of their mortal enemy casually passing by. How oblivious. These pathetic agents were hardly impressive. Briefly, she paused to spare a glance before proceeding down her path, merriment filling her body as she continued down the sidewalk. Summer was a busy time for the Assembly of Phantoms, the increase in tourism being the greatest chance to spread their message and fear. Which transpired the devious plan which entered Zeredah's thoughts and motivated her to create difficulties in the Terror Response Syndicate.
The medical ward was filled with valuable pieces of the organization's functions, allowing their hunters, scouts and occasionally other medics to heal. The hospital was already overrun with citizens, thus weighing the concerns of the TRS' medical situation became an excellent idea. Slowly, she proceeded through the streets before turning into a small building where her disguisers were quietly waiting.
"Madame Zeredah, the Assembly members have been informed and the terrors positioned as you requested," one disguiser immediately reported.
The smile on Zeredah's face stretched wider once she was informed the preparations were made. On this warm afternoon, the TRS medical ward would come under heavy attack, members commanded to murder anybody wearing the green colours of a medic. They would suffer and learn about their follies in standing up against her.
"Excellent, start the attack immediately. Tell all soldiers they can also attempt to steal any supplies useful to us. Anything we cannot take should be destroyed," she explained. "Furthermore, release any of our prisoners who are still useful to us. Kill any traitors. The TRS is not allowed to gain any valuable information."
Quickly, the disguisers bowed to their queen, "Yes, Zeredah."
IN-CHARACTER INFORMATION
The sirens in the downtown area began blaring on a warm, summer afternoon, however, the requirement for assistance comes from the TRS themselves. All nearby TRS members have been requested to return to base as soon as possible to defend the headquarters! Citizens have been asked to evacuate the area while the situation is handled! It has become apparent they began their attack in the medical ward, leading TRS members to believe the medics are in the greatest danger.
TRS Expectations: Hunters: Any nearby squadrons, return to headquarters when possible to assist with the situation. All hunters currently inside headquarters are expected to start defending. Protect the injured, medics and other staff of the buildings. Attempt to push the terrors and Assembly members into the training grounds or other safe locations. Defeat all terrors and Assembly members as quickly as possible. Dispatch hunters to defend the prison. Scouts: Start escorting citizens away from the headquarters. Attempt to lock down the building and take all citizens inside the headquarters to a safe location. Help guide all personnel to the training centre's gymnasium which will be heavily defended. Use the cameras to assist and guide hunters to where the terrors and Assembly members are attacking. Medics: Get to the gymnasium which is a designated lockdown location. Help any injured to the location and try to quietly move through the building. If needed, hold down a location until hunters can reach your location and guide you to the gymnasium. Be wary, the Assembly appeared to be eliminating medical personnel and their supplies.
AP Expectations: Soldiers: Eliminate as many medical personnel as to possible. Damage the TRS' medical ward to make their missions through the summer more difficult. When needed, fight against the hunters, but avoid allowing them to corner you. This is their territory and they know it best. Take any prisoners which could provide us with useful information. Informants: Use the chaos to breach the TRS' intel room and gain information about their objectives. Attempt to shut down communications so they are unable to call for backup. Do not get caught and make certain to bring a soldier to defend you while you work. Medics: Keep your distance from where the attack is. As soldiers and informants get injured, assist them. Make certain the strongest get the best care so they can potentially continue fighting. You must assure you have the energy to use any healing magic to make sure we do maximum damage.
OUT-OF-CHARACTER INFORMATION
There will be a board available in the Medical Ward of the TRS Headquarters of the event. You can find this board here. All threads related to this event should be inside this board. The event will be closed on September 17th, meaning it will be available all summer long. All threads unfinished at that time will be moved to the Alternate Universe board until completed. Please make sure to post on the archive request when you finish a thread. We hope you enjoy this event~!
June has finally arrived and people are prepared to celebrate pride for the LGBTQ+ community with a parade which will go through the downtown area. Decorations have been thrown up for the purpose of celebrating and floats prepared to move through the downtown area. The parade itself will take place down main street with roads leading to the area being blocked off to avoid interruptions to the celebration. Once the parade itself ends, everybody is asked to head to Crow Feather Park where the festivities are planned to continue throughout the day.
There were be drinks and snacks available at the park and people are asked to please be responsible. The festival will continue into the evening before closing an hour before sunset to give hosts the chance to clean in daylight. The TRS is expected to guard the event and assure there were be no Assembly of Phantoms interference and everybody returns to their homes safely. TRS members for the event are allowed to dress up as long as they wear their TRS addition jackets or altered pieces which provide information related to their name, unit, division and ranks.
OUT-OF-CHARACTER INFORMATION
Happy Pride Month everybody~! Throughout the month of June, these events will be available for participation, however, we will be extending the time of which people can join; this will include future events as well. Our Pride Month festivities can be joined in until July 31st, giving you plenty of time to participate. The board created for these events can be found here! As expected, throughout June, the site will be brandishing its Pride Month skin to celebrate the LGBTQ+! It will be set as the site's default until June 30th.
That would definitely work! Felix is a curious one so they would not mind lending an ear! Especially if they were having troubles finding information that day; so I can add that in too for extra confirmation. <3 Also, Felix might do that, they are kind of hush about their occupation since they fear the possibility of being attacked. They would probably talk about it more vaguely with cautious word choice and such. c:
A labourer is actually the most likely choice for Persephone since in her other career at this time (assassination) she would be required to exercise to avoid being overpowered easily. Furthermore, her education comes into questionable origins since she was "homeschooled" by her father while they travelled around the world. As for her helping with a trap, it is plausible considering if we're going with the past timeline since Kayla desired for her to change. She would probably use her water manipulation to help them get out because that is where most of her power lies.

Honestly, she would probably just glare when they came out. XD While she does despise hell species, she can keep it quiet for the purposes of not drawing suspicion. Doesn't mean she won't show it in subtle ways, like glaring.
