Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
The upcoming Christmas brings the regular hustle and bustle of life as people gather parents and prepare for the long-standing holiday. Commercials play glorifying items for purchase in favoured of loved ones. In the evening, Christmas lights sparkle through the city, shimmering through the night as carollers roam the streets. Snow coats the world and in Crow Feather Park a decorated Christmas tree covered in ordaments.
The TRS has been accomplishing their duties on a daily. Efforts have been focused on protecting others with increased presence around the shopping areas and fanning out through common routes. While Assembly activity gradually lowers from the lack of tourism, there is a suspicious drop in the activity. Alertness lurks behind their eyes as the TRS expects the worse, although, little do they know the intentions.
Though with the entrance of December arrives the malicious intentions of the Assembly of Phantoms. In the silence of her chambers, Zeredah in her cruel reach for a world revolution. Creatures capable of shifting into items, hiding cleverly in homes. A type of fear eater capable and murderous. In quick time, the Assembly planted their devious trap, focusing on the high-trafficked areas. They snuck around corners and prepared for the morrow, Assembly members being sent out in the early hours of the morning for the coming fight.
An alarm blares through Lorsette as reports flood in about terrors disguised as presents and other items. People are panicked and the TRS are scent out in haste. Through the streets, TRS members roam, and due to the suddenness of the reports, disorganized. In haste, members have been sent where possible, with a portion mixing in with differing units for the sole reason of their present placement. The goal, uproot the enemy and preserve life in Lorsette where possible.
UNIT DIVISIONS While there is some mixing amidst units, the TRS has organized those currently at headquarters and heading en route in response to the emergency.
Unit One - Downtown & Western Unit Two - Subburbs & Coastal Unit Three - Northern, Outskirts & Wilderness
TSUKUMOGAMI The name that was given to the class of terror identified as of mid-December of 2020. These creatures are capable of shifting into items and are a terror newly created by Zeredah. They are believed to be a sub-species of disguiser, focusing their efforts on shifting into items rather than people. They are known for making houses appear "haunted" and at times will cause a variety of frightening noises in the dark to feed off their victim's fear. They are light-footed and stealthy creatures as a result. It takes approximately 3-4 hunters or 2-3 elites to defeat one safely.

Welcome to our Christmas event of the year! For this event, there will be a board provided for the event and all threads from the Halloween event will be moved to the Alternate Universe board to avoid cluttering once we have reached December 4th. Everyone can still finish those threads. You can find the board here. Threads for the event can be created until February 1st. Afterwards, the board will be locked for thread making, but posting can continue.
We will also have the Christmas skin up for member use until the end of December! It will be our main skin for the entire month of December, complete with snowfall. If you do not want the snowfall, you can use the back snowflake in the right-hand corner to turn it off.
Do not use drama to get attention in the chat. Nobody appreciates it.
