Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
”That's fine what would you like to go to the jinx band concert or the fair?” He asked glad she would go out with him. It would be his first date. He planned to ask her to be his girlfriend. If she enjoyed it. ”So what time should I pick you up at?” he asked her. He still didn't want to leave yet he didn't really have a place to go back to. He didn't live among humans and avoided churches so he wouldn't run into any exersits. This was also why he didn't sleep much. But he knew he needed sleep yet he couldn't bring himself to leave her side. @rinny
[break]Levi seemed glad she agreed to his offer then asked her if she would like to go to the upcoming Jinx concert or to the fair. However, Maria wasn't for loud music nor crowds. However, if she had to choose between the two.. "I'd like to go to the fair. I'm not much for loud music." Levi also asked her what time he should pick her up at. "Ten in the morning should be fine. Since Saturday is one of my days off, I like to sleep in a bit. Would that be okay?" She hoped it wasn't too early. As she thought this, Maria couldn't help notice that Levi looked as if he didn't want to leave. Just as she was about to say something to him, a few patrons walked into the library. "Feel free to stick around. I get off at 3 when the assistant librarian comes in for her shift." She said before switching back to work mode. The patrons came up to Maria and asked her where to find the lore encyclopedia section. "I'd be glad to show you, right this way please" She said as she led them further into the library.[break]
Levi smiled when she said that and sat in the shadows of the library reading books on demons or as humans thought they where which made him laugh. He also researched human murders. Dark stuff he was reading but he was after all a demon high ranking at that. He also had to make sure he could teach his class a human would so he was doing lot of reading. So much that he ended up falling asleep in his chair. Yet to anyone else it would look like he was reading until they notice his eyes closed. After all, he didn't normally get much sleep. @rinny
[break]After Maria finished showing the patrons to what they were searching for. She returned to her desk. She noticed Levi sitting in a dark area of the library, he had a stack of books on the table in front of him. However, it seemed he had dozed off. Maria smiled and giggled at this. The always so dignified and refined Professor Levi. Looked like a small, adorable child while sleeping. However, she wasn't able to enjoy watching him sleep for long as more and more patrons began to make their way into the library, and Maria became busy as a worker bee.[break]
[break]About an hour passed and things finally started to calm down. With not as many patrons around as before, Maria decided to go into the office in the back to make herself some tea. Once it finished brewing, she poured some into a cup and headed right back out to her desk and sat down. She took the book Levi had given her, and started to read it. Within its pages, Maria learned that Levi was the right hand man of the Demon king himself, and of all the bloody battles he'd fought during the traitor's war. Maria knew of the war, given how long she'd been around, she had plenty of time to kill. Reading about all the bloody battles Levi had been apart of, fascinated her. In fact, it only made her desire to get closer to him, even stronger.[break]
