Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Proper date etiquette was long forgotten for Desmond considering the extensive amount of time that occurred since his last. The horrible break-up had resulted in the decision of never dating, but alas, the man who was stationed across from him broke through those walls. Those concepts of avoiding future heartbreak were demolished when Zachary entered his life. There was always a particular softness to the angel, his personality allowing him to easily make Desmond's heart sing melodies of joy. Boundaries were respected, given time to gradually allow their thick walls to turn delicate and touchable. The notion was peculiar considering it brought vivid dreams of the attractive man providing him affection, which were things the nephilim had refused himself for a few years. Love transformed into a frightful craving; desired, but still feared. It resulted in Zachary's confirmation to it being a pleasure causing the ginger's cheeks to turn a bright red.
The confusing twist of emotions resulted in Desmond staring at his orange while his fingers fidgeted the peel away. Composure was difficult to maintain, especially with Zachary sitting across from him. When they first met, Desmond had found the doctor's appearance to be incredibly attractive, although, would never admit to it. Quietly, he listened as the adorable angel told him about going to the maze with Alice. A frown crossed the nephilim's face for a moment at the mentioning of Alice getting sick afterwards. The young girl felt similar to a daughter for Desmond, especially considering the occasions he babysat her.
"It's too bad she got sick, but it is good she is better," Desmond responded casually. A friendly smile touched the nephilim's lips. "Besides, her dad is a doctor so I imagine you took good care of her."
When the question was returned, Desmond froze, his fingers even ceasing the peeling. There were not many activities that the ginger had participated in, most of it revolving around work. It resulted in a hesitation, the nephilim desiring to not appear as a workaholic. Awkwardly, his eyes flitted towards Zachary, immediately noticing that the doctor had not touched his food.
"I... wasn't doing much. Aren't you going to eat though?" Desmond asked, attempting to make the question polite. Only a moment passed before he realized the rude implications. "I-I-I mean... I enjoy talking to you... I... uh... want to make sure... you don't get unhealthy... You have been here for a while."
There was genuine concern that touched Desmond's voice, his heart aching at thoughts of Zachary falling ill. The concept always generated harsh emotions of terror which resulted in the fussing over the doctor's health. It was difficult to resist considering the constant, pleasant heart flutters and positive vibes he experienced from the angel's divine presence. Incredible, amazing, wonderful, there were numerous words to describe the emotions that transcended the scout whenever he was around his crush. When the nurse approached, Desmond instantly went silent as the terrifying thoughts of Zachary being required to leave entered his mind. The concept of his sublime crush leaving generated numerous feelings of heartache, the nephilim giving his food a disappointed glance until he heard the words that left her lips. The suggestion of freedom carried upon her lips caused Demond's heart to flutter in hope as he witnessed the woman retreat.
"... Does that mean you are done for the day?" Desmond began. "Because... maybe after lunch we could go for a walk or something?"
Extending the time he could remain beside Zachary gradually transformed into a necessity. Those mild fears of romance remained, but the nephilim at least wanted to give an attempt. The feelings that pulled him towards Zachary insisted the action was necessary; almost as though somebody was gently tugging a string that connected them.
Zachary couldn't help but smile at Desmond's comment. Yes he did take care of his daughter, he was happy to see that she was feeling better now, but it just made him happier to hear Desmond say it too. "That I did." He was having a hard time not feeling flustered at the compliment that seemed to come off of the comment Desmond had made to him, having a hard time commenting back before the blush finally set in against his white cheeks. He had turned the question onto Desmond, but couldn't help but think about how he wanted to take Desmond on a date sometime. Desmond's question had pulled him from his thoughts and his cheeks went even pinker. Ever so caring. He found himself quiet, unsure of his reason for not eating yet. Was it the excitement he felt by being with Desmond or was he just distracted by future dates he hoped to have with his crush? Desmond's concern about his health once more was mentioned and he couldn't help but find Desmond continuing to be adorable in front of him.
Oh how he wished to hug his crush and never let go, prove that he cared for his well being but his crush would likely shake at the idea, or at least he had in the passed. He hoped that one day, he'd get the chance to hug Desmond and his crush to feel the same happiness that he felt when being close to him. "Yes, I am planning on eating." Though before he had a chance to start on his food, the nurse had come over to talk to him. When the nurse left, he couldn't help but feel the sudden tiredness overcoming him. He hadn't yet realized that she was hinting that it was time to go home, but the words of being thanked had crossed his mind as well as her mentioning the other doctor had come at last. But where exactly that left him, he was still processing it. Desmond's comment pulled him from his thoughts and he smiled at him. "Yes, yes I suppose it does." He reached back to rub the back of his neck nervously.
"Sorry, I'm still processing that she excused me for the day..." He laughed nervously, this date had gone so well until he spoke, proving to be tired from this long shift at work. Desmond had suggested a walk after they had lunch and he wasn't about to lose his chance to be with Desmond later. "A walk sounds lovely and if it is okay with you, I'd love another date sometime." Now to prove his point, he finally started eating the food that he had bought earlier.
Witnessing Zachary smile towards the comment that Desmond had made towards caring for Alice resulted in blood rushing towards his cheeks. There was constantly an aspect to the doctor's smile that caused the nephilim's heart to flutter immensely. The grin created an atmosphere of reassurance and infatuation that continued being accompanied by those self-conscious anxieties that always arrived when he remained in the angel's presence. Those nervous emotions were impossible to avoid since Desmond feared doing something incorrectly. The ginger's green eyes explored Zachary's face, shortly discovering the blush that tinted his cheeks. Immediately, the scout's cheeks increased in redness, resulting in him bashfully glancing away in a moment of flustered. Thoughts generated over the concept of the attractive doctor being interested in him. Steadily, the nephilim's fingers played with his orange, continuing to remove the peel as he attempted to calm himself.
Risking a glance to observe Zachary was becoming an impossibility considering Desmond found his cheeks rising in heat, bringing him to the conclusion of red being evident across his face. Once the peel was removed, the nephilim hastily broke apart the slices and popped one of the soft, orange pieces into his mouth. The sweet juices splashed across his tongue as he enjoyed the taste, fixating on it solely to salvage any portions of calm he still possessed. When Zachary mentioned he planned to eat, Desmond felt reassured and relieved to know that his crush would consume his lunch; it was necessary for proper health. The orange slice was chewed and swallowed when the nephilim glanced towards his crush again. There was another grin when Desmond had stated that Zachary was free from the chains of occupational expectation.
The nervous actions caused the ginger's heart to skip several beats because of the adorableness that they held, however, there were touches of concern with the comments. After working for an extensive amount of time, Desmond could only imagine how weary Zachary had become; each passing hour taking their toll.
"It... it's alright... Are you okay though? You seem kind of tired..." A tenderness was held within Desmond's voice while he spoke to his crush.
When Zachary agreed to the walk, Desmond felt both delighted and concerned for the tired man. Before the nephilim could hastily speak, the date comment arrived and the flustered began once more. His gaze flitted towards his food as the ginger worked towards calming the intense emotions generating inside of him. The concept of dating Zachary was incredible, but Desmond consistently found it difficult to know how to react without embarrassing himself or appearing like a fool. These intermingling emotions were conquering his disposition, resulting in hesitation before the nephilim gained the courage to speak.
"... Are... are you sure it is o-okay? I don't want to ware you out," he began quietly. Another momentary pause followed his words, bravery being rallied to allow speaking. "We... could always have another date after all."
There was a nervous tone to his response, the ginger ceasing his eating as a result of the flustered emotions and anxieties that continued orbiting his mind. Despite those fears towards the concepts of romance and love, his immense affection for Zachary kept him stationary; deep down he desired a relationship with the man he viewed as perfect. The wonderful angel who always respected his boundaries, kindly attempting to avoid overstepping them.
Though it was true that he was in fact tired, he wasn't about to give up his chance in spending time with Desmond. "I'm fine." He answered, figuring that he'd just have to fight himself a bit longer in staying awake, the last thing he wanted was to fall asleep on Desmond. If i really badly feel a great need in falling asleep, I'll mention it later. I just hope it doesn't come to that... He found the real thing so much better than his dreams. Even if many of his dreams desired being in Desmond's company and he in fact got it. Oh what he'd give to have a chance to snuggle his crush, but patience would reward him in the near future, or at least that is what he kept hoping and telling himself. Seeing Desmond blush was making this day into a happy one, despite how tired he felt. He had to remind himself that Desmond was in fact really here and that he wasn't dreaming it. He had taken his time, slowly eating his food so that he could get full faster.
Desmond's question had caught him by surprise, before he had a chance to answer, Desmond mentioned another date, giving him hope that there would be another date in the near future. "I'm not worn out yet." He answered, determined to stay awake as long as Desmond was in his presence. Until he got in front of his daughter, than he'd make the effort for her too. He continued eating his food until he had finally finished the last bit. A thought had crossed his mind, no harm in trying right? "If your okay with it, will you walk home with me?" On the one hand, he'd get extra time with Desmond, on the other, if there was a slight chance that he was at risk of falling asleep, he'd at least be on his way home. Besides, if they made it to his home, maybe he could try and convince Desmond to stay just a little bit longer.
A softness remained in Desmond's green eyes while he observed Zachary, worry being evident in them. Witnessing his crush push himself to these degrees always concerned the nephilim, causing a momentary heartache. Thoughts were always taken towards the concept of going to far, resulting in sickness and general lack of health. Despite the medical background that the angel possessed, it was blatantly obvious to the ginger that the man was willing to go to incredible lengths to assist the people of Lorsette. The trait was admirable, displaying a true dedication to the hospital alongside his patients; it was something that Desmond loved about him. While Zachary remained outside the combat zone, he always assisted positively by devoting himself to the hospital. The nephilim's eyes were locked on his crush, his heart still rapidly beating while he worked the nerve to speak.
"... Are you sure? I know you work hard, Zac... I won't blame you for being tired," Desmond responded.
While immensely enjoying the angel's company, Desmond wanted the man to rest when it was well-deserved. There were numerous people that depended on the attractive doctor, including his wonderful daughter, Alice. Slowly, the nephilim started consuming his lunch, his thoughts being fixated on the walk; why did he have to offer? Obviously, Zachary was already exhausted and now Desmond had resorted to pushing him further instead of merely offering a cab. For a moment, the ginger felt as though he was being inconsiderate towards his precious crush by implanting the notion in the man's head. A nervousness transcended over the nephilim as his thoughts focused on the numerous alternatives that could have been taken to assure that Zachary would be alright. When his crush answered him. Desmond's green eyes flitted back towards the man, concern claiming them, although, the following question brought a slight sense of calming.
Walking Zachary home was offered, a viable option that would assure the nephilim that the wonderful doctor returned home safely. The opportunity could both appear as their after lunch walk alongside the chance to return his exhausted crush to the comforting atmosphere of home.
"Of course I will," Desmond hastily answered.
A light blush coloured his cheeks considering the speedy manner his words were blurted out. There was mild self-consciousness in the action since the nephilim believed he sounded similar to an over-anxious, hyper child rather than a mature adult.
"I... I need to make sure you get home safely after all," he recovered.
There was effort taken into slowing the words he spoke, Desmond making certain not to rush through them again. Afterwards, he began eating the remainder of his lunch in preparation to leave. Once finished, he noticed that Zachary had also finished the meal. Wordlessly, the nephilim gathered the trash and threw it into a nearby garbage can before returning to the attractive angel.
"Is there anything you need before we go?" Desmond asked.
Patiently, the nephilim stood by the table awaiting for the verdict from his crush. Excitement was coursing through his veins over the concept of walking with Zachary. While the time would remained limited, it meant a few more minutes with his precious crush.
Zachary wasn't completely sure but he wanted to be with Desmond for as long as possible. If only he could get him to walk home with him, so that he could ask for another five minutes, than another, and another. No, five minutes would never be enough, he wanted to be in Desmond's presence so much longer than that. After asking if Desmond would walk home with him, he felt relief when Desmond agreed. He couldn't help but feel his cheeks become slightly warm when Desmond mentioned how he had to make sure that he made it home in safety. Such concern, if only Desmond was always around instead of sometimes, than his dreams would really come true.
When they had finished their lunch, Desmond had taken the trash to the garbage can before returning back to him. "No." He stood up suddenly from the chair. I have everything I need right here. He thought to himself, running his hands along his pockets before being reminded that he still had on his white coat. "I should take this back to my office so that I don't have to bring it to work." He answered, somewhat embarrassed that he forgot that he had it on. Well this isn't completely bad, it just means I have more time with him. He thought to himself, trying to calm himself. "Will you join me?"
Immediately after returning to the table, Desmond found his eyes wandering his crush's body before bashfully glancing away. Red touched his cheeks, the nephilim praying that Zachary was oblivious to his lingering eyes. Everything about the angel was attractive to the ginger from his divine appearance to incredibly sweet personality; it left his heart beating wildly with excitement. Being in Zachary's presence always provided a peculiar sense of exhilaration, almost as though billions of fireworks fired whenever he was around. It was wondrous, bringing along tones of enjoyment within the excitement the company brought; it made Zachary special. Those mixtures of nervousness, excitement and joy were never present around others, causing his crush to stand out among the crowd. There was something nostalgic from a few years ago, but also traces of something new entirely.
At the mentioning of no other items being required, Desmond nodded, preparing to lead the way until Zachary continued. Naturally, his crush desired to take the white coat he required for work back to his office which suggested more time spent within his glory. A sheepish smile entered the nephilim's face at the thought, although, he had not been expected to be directly asked. His eyes flitted back towards Zachary face, the gaze making his heart race with anticipation.
"Of course," he answered, sounding excited.
Red marked the ginger's cheeks as blood rushed to them, resulting in him bashfully glancing away. While he possessed an immense endearment towards Zachary, he feared the consequences of revealing them too hastily. There was a chance that he would create a distance between himself or his crush or even meet a similar fate with his other ex by not being cautious; although, he trusted Zachary plenty more than that man.
Zachary couldn't help but feel overjoyed when Desmond had agreed to walk with him to his office so that he could return his white coat and not be lonely because he would return it anyway. He noticed Desmond's cheeks, finding them adorable but remained quiet because the last thing he wanted to do was run the risk of saying something and Desmond pushing away from him. He had to be careful around his crush so that he could remain around him longer. He lead the way towards his office, slow steps for the sole purpose of having more time with Desmond but also because he failed to mention that he really is tired. Once they got to his office, he unlocked the door and placed it on a hanger before setting it against a rail. "Ready?" He wasn't about to show Desmond around his office, feeling like it would be awkward and uninteresting. Though he would patiently wait for Desmond to answer before making any extra movement just in case he would like to linger in the office just a little bit longer. Must stay awake........ must enjoy this time with Desmond. If he didn't feel the heaviness of being tired before, he was feeling it now.
Increasing the amount of time he was spending with Zachary was transforming into a nerve-wracking positive. Constantly, the nephilim found himself concerned that he would state the wrong thing or accomplish something to unintentional upset the attractive angel. There was a special quality to his crush that generated desires to learn the art of romance again despite his timidness towards the concept. It fueled the motivation to accompany Zachary back towards his office. The slow walk towards his crush's office was anxious for Desmond, his heart pounding rapidly while concerns about accidentally pushing his crush away kept passing through his mind. There was an awkward silence, the nephilim being completely uncertain on what exactly to say while they transcended the stairs. Time passed slowly for the ginger while they drew closer to Zachary's office.
When they arrived, Desmond watched as Zachary opened the door, a subtle click sounding as the lock opened alongside the door. Upon entering the room, the nephilim found his eyes wandering around; the curiosities about his crush were conquering his shyness. For a few moments he glanced around, his attention returning to his crush who still appeared tired from work. The scout analyzed the man, noticing how weary Zachary was; he needed to be taken home to hopefully sleep. With that, Desmond quickly walked back towards his crush.
"Yeah, we should probably get you home to rest, eh?" He stated softly. "Do we need to get Alice from anywhere?"
There was thought taken towards Zachary's daughter, the nephilim always considering Alice. Should the young girl require an escort home, they could always head in that direction in take her home; unless Zachary was too exhausted, in which Desmond planned to hastily teleport the girl home when the time arrived.
Zachary gave Desmond a weak smile, as much as he wanted to give him a genuine smile he felt drained from his long day at work. Not that he'd admit to such a thing, in fact he couldn't help but wonder how he might go about trying to get some extra time with Desmond, not wishing to leave his side. He was pulled from his thoughts when Desmond asked him about Alice. "She is currently at school." He answered, having to remind himself that he would need to get her from school in the next few hours. When it seemed like they were ready to go, he would have Desmond exit the office first, before pulling the door behind him to lock it. I'm going to have to set an alarm so that I wake up when it is time to go get her, assuming I fall asleep in the first place. He thought to himself, thrilled that Desmond had asked about his daughter, proving to hold an interest in her. "I really wish you would come with me later to go get her." He assumed Desmond's goal had been to walk him home and then excuse himself so that he could sleep, not that he'd do so, but maybe his crush had that in mind.
Other than the fact that Desmond had asked earlier if they needed to get Alice, implying the both of them. He didn't see the harm in inviting Desmond to go with him to get Alice in the next few hours. With any luck, Desmond would agree, meaning more than just walking time with Desmond. It was hard to find the desire to sleep when you lacked the motivation, but he felt like Desmond possibly cared about his well being, so there was no harm in wanting to hint that Desmond had to be around to see to it that he bothered sleeping right? Walking down the hall with his crush gave him energy, one the one hand he refused to fall asleep while enjoying Desmond's company, on the other, he was happy with Desmond. He opened the stairwell door, allowing Desmond to go first before walking down the stairs with him. Must stay awake......... He thought to himself, fighting himself to not fall asleep. He reached his hand out, pinching his arm to try and force himself to remain awake.
The weak smile that touched Zachary's lips brought a grown to Desmond as the fretting continued. Concern touched the countenance of the nephilim as his green eyes remained locked on the doctor who he cared immensely about; already his heart was fluttering. There was always an attractive essence to Zachary, but the palpitations were a mixture of love and concern. Assisting his friend currently was requirement and Desmond was determined to help his friend rest to avoid possible sickness or fainting. The answer of Alice's location was responded to with a gentle nod, the scout still staring as he left Zachary's office. While he understand why the intense care for his patients was required, the ginger knew the man required some form of rest from the constant exhaustion and stress. For a moment, the nephilim paused after leaving the door.
"Do you need to talk to anybody before you leave? You know, because you are taking time off," Desmond asked sternly.
If Zachary was going to intentional avoid resting, than the nephilim would remain determined in fretting over the adorable man. There was no possible way that the ginger would allow the attractive angel to slip through without getting those necessary days off; the gods knew he needed them. When retrieving Alice from school was mentioned, a worrisome sigh escaped Desmond's lips as his eyes softened, still staring at Zachary.
"Don't worry about it, I will pick her up and babysit. You need to rest, Zac. I am serious," Desmond insisted.
While the nephilim cared plenty about his crush, he was aware Zachary required time to sleep. Long days at work possessed a negative effect, which was obvious when Desmond gazed at the angel's face. Rest was required, several days of it to recover from the exhausting week. The fretting was consistent, the ginger's heart consistently fluttering with worry while he walked down the hallway alongside Zachary. His green eyes flitted away after a few moments, a gentle red touching Desmond's cheeks; Zachary was simply too adorable. The stairwell door was opened with a loud click, Desmond blushing further when Zachary allowed for him to pass through the threshold first. By all degrees, this man could be considered a gentleman, which resulted in the deep red that touched Desmond's cheeks.
Hastily, the nephilim passed though, nervousness touching his steps and appreciation glimmering in his green eyes. While opening a door for another individual may be considered a mundane and polite action, Desmond found that it was meaningful when Zachary accomplished.
"Th-thank-you," Desmond responded bashfully.
Immediately, the heat in the nephilim's face increased, his cheeks turning a deeper shade of red. The stutter left him embarrassed, causing him to glance away in concern that Zachary would witness him blushing.
Zachary had almost forgot about mentioning time off, but he would make the call when at home. "I'll do it when I get home by phone call." Having to search for the person in the hospital would be tiring and he wasn't sure how long he would last before sleep would manage to take over him. He offered to go to the school to get Alice with him but it sounded like Desmond was more interest in getting him to rest up. He was so kind, though he wasn't sure if he would be able to sleep knowing that Desmond wasn't around him as much as he'd love for him to be. Be patient.... patience will help you gain your biggest reward. "Don't forget you were going to take time off too...." He answered after a few minutes to break the silence. Hopefully that time will be spent with me, I really badly want to be around you. He felt super tired, trying to be careful that he didn't say anything embarrassing.
He noticed Desmond's cheeks when he walked passed, finding himself thrilled that he could get Desmond to fluster. "Your welcome." He answered, thinking to himself of all the times he hopes he can do this in the near future for Desmond. Slowly he walked down the stairs with Desmond, tiredness kept overwhelming him. A few minutes and they almost made it to the bottom floor, only a few more steps to go, Zachary zoned out and over stepped, missing it completely. Noticing his mistaken, he immediately reached out to try and grab for the rail, slipping his hand around it before gripping it tightly to regain his footing. That was.... that was embarrassing..... He breathed in and out, not ready to let go.
There was a necessity in making certain that Zachary acquired the off time from work. The exhausted doctor required the time to rest and recover from the natural stresses of his occupation alongside the various taxing problems of life. The explanation of accomplishing the task of obtaining downtime from work was met with Desmond relaxing physically towards the concept. The nephilim planned to remain nearby to assure himself that Zachary called into the hospital to book a few vacation days; the angel did have a tendency to place others above himself. Numerous measures had been taken, Desmond already securing the requirement for his crush to not accept calls until the vacation days were over.
The lack of rebuke towards accompanying him to retrieve Alice from school resulted in a calm sigh of relief; Zachary needed to rest. It appeared that his crush did not seem keen on fighting him about that particular point; besides, teleporting himself and a little girl would be easier. At the mentioning of securing time off himself, Desmond stiffened, nearly forgetting about the exchange that he promised Zachary. In return for the attractive angel not doing calls, the nephilim was required to book vacation days that coincided with Zachary's. A sheepish smile touched Desmond's lips as he nervously wrung his hands as thoughts towards the moments he and his crush would be alone. The ginger's breaths quickened as he bashfully glanced towards the tiled floor of the hospital.
"I will call when we get back to your place then," Desmond squeaked anxiously.
The heightened pitch of his voice was generating emotions of embarrassment, making a faint tint of red touch his cheeks. After Zachary's polite response, they began silently descending the stairs; their footsteps the only echoing noises. Minutes passed, the duo gradually reaching the bottom stairs. When a sudden scuffing noise arrived, Desmond glanced back towards Zachary, noticing the attractive doctor nearly fall. Before the ginger could reach out to catch him, his crush had thankfully grabbed the rail and balanced himself. Desmond's green eyes stared, worry clouding them as he watched the attractive angel.
"Zac! Are you okay?!" He exclaimed, closing the distance between himself and Zachary. "You need to be more careful."
A worried countenance marked Desmond's face as he began analyzing the doctor's condition with a mild shaking in his hands. There was a desire to reach out and assist Zachary back into steadiness, but his anxieties about touching kept him from accomplishing the task. With a racing heartbeat, the ginger stood mentally fretting over his adorable crush who had nearly taken a nasty slip.
Zachary wasn't aware of how serious Desmond felt about him needing to take vacation days, to him it seemed like a great chance to be with each other and Alice once she was home from school. Though rest was such a great idea, he found that he was somewhat depressed each time he woke up to an empty bed in the morning. It made him wish that he never had to fall asleep, seeing as the only time he saw and enjoyed Desmond's company was when his crush was standing a few feet away from him. Dreams couldn't replace his crush, no, it was either having the real thing or being alone. Being alone was proving to take its toll on him, but he tried distracting himself with work so that he could overcome thinking about it. He reminded Desmond that he would need to take time off as well. It wouldn't be fair if he took time off and Desmond was still being called into work. He wanted as much time with Desmond that he could possibly get and if Desmond didn't feel the same way, surely he wouldn't have agreed in the first place, right? He hoped that Desmond wanted to be around him as he would feel like such a burden right now.
He felt pleased when Desmond agreed to make the call as soon as they got back to his place, he nodded his head in agreement, grateful to hear such a thing, still hoping that Desmond wanted to be around him instead of becoming a possible burden. He felt so exhausted, missing the part where Desmond squeaked anxiously. I'm having such a hard time focusing right now. He thought to himself as he slowly walked down the stairs. He was still gripping onto the rail when Desmond had turned to check on him. "I'll... be fine." Though he felt a great need in holding the rail longer. Having had a moment of zoning out, he felt a great fear that he was going to zone out again. He noted Desmond's concern as his crush stood close to him. "I just zoned out on accident." He admitted, trying to comfort Desmond with an explanation.
Zachary was having a difficult time desiring to let go of the rail. He knew there was a high chance that he was going to lose his balance for a second time, but he had just told Desmond that he was fine, so with a small breath he let go of the rail to walk with Desmond down the rest of the stairs. He was surprised that he had managed to keep his balance the whole time, but felt extremely tired. I want to stay awake. It seemed the more he fought, the more the tiredness managed to drain him. Next thing he knew, he had on accident managed to walk into the wall instead of the door.
There was a drastic increase in the amount of worrying that Desmond was doing when it came to Zachary. It was obvious that the exhaustion intense for his crush, being proven by the sudden near-fall experience with the stairwell. The tight grip the angel maintained on the rail was concerning, the nephilim wincing in concern for the man he cared immensely about. It was becoming obvious the hospital would work the attractive angel to extremes when necessary, which only increased the ginger's fretting. There were anxious thoughts taken towards the concept of Zachary fainting or requiring medical attention from overworking. Whenever he witnessed the attractive angel reach the brink of fatigue, Desmond always prayed that more scrutiny was taken towards Zachary's own condition; unfortunately, the doctor did not appear keen of diagnosing himself or providing health advice for his own body.
Even when Zachary attempted to provide reassurance failed to relax Desmond as he kept his eyes locked on the attractive angel. Comfort was impossible to discover in the room, especially since the nephilim's concern kept his heart racing and his breathing slightly faster than average. There was fear that his crush would meet a horrible fall down the remaining stairs, generating a nervous air for Desmond. While the last few stairs were stress-filled as Desmond inched closer to Zachary, preparing to protect the doctor from another fall. Should his crush beginning losing balance, the ginger planned to help regain it; he could not allow Zachary to be injured in this situation! A sigh of relief left Desmond's mouth when his crush successfully reached the bottom of the stairs. Several more breaths were taken to calm the nephilim before he took the lead to open the hospital door for Zachary.
The ginger turned back, flinching when he witnessed the attractive angel instead walk into a wall. The amount of exhaustion that his precious crush had obtained was becoming increasingly obvious. Hastily, Desmond left the door, allowing for it shut while he closed the distance between himself and Zachary.
"Zac! Are you okay?!" Desmond asked, worry touching his voice.
The nephilim took an extensive breath while he inched a little closer to Zachary, concern written across his countenance. Slowly, Desmond reached out with shaky hands to try and touch his crush's shoulders; he could not allow him to walk into more walls. While the ginger remained wary of touching, he was arriving at the realization that it was necessary to avoid any more incidents for the weary angel.
"C'mon Z-zac... You need to be more careful," Desmond murmured nervously.
Gradually, the nephilim attempted to lead the exhausted man in the direction of the door. Once they arrived at the threshold, Desmond planned to open the door and assist Zachary in safely returning home. Leaving the attractive angel alone became an inconceivable action until Desmond was certain he could rest and recover from the stresses of overworking.
