All in the Esmeree family tree gets their sense of fashion from Dolores, who’s always dressed nicely, whether she’s going to manipulate- I mean teach a group of kids about the world or whether she’s literally leaving to attend a blood bath. While Dolores has a ton of outfits in her wardrobe, her usual attire is either a simple school uniform, making her look like a young teen, or an elegant multi layered frilled old-schooled dress, making her look far more mature. Dolores’s black hair make her eyes pop, they being red and gold in color.

The timeless seer is overall… a sadistic, twisted and insane “holy” being that has goals that are all either out of her reach or so dark she could easily pass as a demon spawn, having no issue with using and pampering even the youth to her dark desires while using everything she has available to do so like the slithering shadow serpent she is, and that is I, the narrator, putting it nicely. In battle, she strikes to kill, and as a mentor.. she strikes to kill. Unlike her current favorite child, she is NOT harmless, nor mostly passive, when not provoked. She is ALWAYS dangerous, regardless if you’re friend or foe. With all of that being said, Dolores is genuinely caring for those she believes is worth something. She is patient and willing to wait an entire lifetime to see something through. It will really take a special someone to befriend her.
Abilities | |||||||||
➤ overall | |||||||||
[Mind Control Immunity] (Natural) Nothing and no one is able to take control of Dolores’s mind and use it for their own will or actions, protecting her from those who wish to take her knowledge. [Seer’s Memory] (Mastered) Being a Seer, Dolores has a very strong mind / enhanced memory, able to memorize and recall anything she wants to the most minute of details instantly (photographic). This makes Dolores’s mind similar to a massive, endless library. All of Dolores’s abilities are possible through her central source of power: her unique eyes, and because of it, it’s her biggest weakness as well. When using her magic filled golden eye, Dolores is able to use her abilities to their fullest potential. Without using it, like those in her family she is weakened drastically, becoming fully blind in one eye, slower to react, and loses her photographic memory. If her gold eye is severely damaged, she is unable to use telekinesis, telepathy, nor precognition until it heals, which takes four weeks. If both eyes are severely damaged, she loses all of her abilities, and is plagued with a constant migraine until they heal. [Psychometry] (Master) Dolores is able to read anyone or anything’s memories and sensations. With her golden eye inactive, she has to make physical contact with the thing or person she wishes to use psychometry on. With her gold eye active, she only needs to be near the object/person to read it or them. Dolores can’t use psychometry at all if she’s actively moving, she must remain still, else she will suffer from increasingly severe headaches. [Seance] Due to a short lived fight with one of her own kin, Dolores was left with badly damaged eyes and an even more damaged mind, and therefore, damaged powers. She is not able to use any seances of any kind whatsoever, nor is she able to learn this from someone else. [Telekinesis] (Adv. / Master) Dolores is able to mentally move, influence, and manipulate any form of matter. Without actively using her gold eye, Dolores uses telekinesis at an advanced level, being limited to pushing, pulling, raising and dropping objects with difficulty within her ‘bubble’ (100 yards). Anything heavier than Dolores isn’t affected by her trying to lift it/them. With her gold eye active, Dolores uses this ability at a master level, doubling the range she can use telekinesis and gaining dominion over everything in her bubble; her limitations are removed in exchange for not being able to move while using telekinesis, as it requires a massive amount of focus. Dolores cannot control or influence more than two things, herself included. She also cannot influence items or material that is warded, charmed, nor totems themselves. [Telepathy] (Beginner / Advanced) Dolores is able to transmit and receive any kind of information mentally. While not actively using her magical gold eye, Dolores is surprisingly bad at using telepathy, being only able to receive information; the only ones she was around during her early days were completely immune or highly resistant to it. As a result, she spent considerably less time studying and practicing. However, she does have a relatively large amount of information she memorized regarding the basic and more advanced usage of the ability. With her gold eye active, she can tap into this info, and use telepathy to enter and plant things into others minds (hallucination), influence emotions, understand any language spoken to her, and of course send/receive/store information from others. Dolores can only actively use telepathy three times a day, with each use causing an increasingly worse migraine. The pain goes away at the end of the week, making this ability one Dolores doesn’t use much. (Future Sight / Precognition) [Mastered] Dolores is able to see and ‘feel’ future events or emotions. If one looks closely, her golden eye has what appears to be an old clock inside it. Known to all who know her, this is Dolores’s favorite and most powerful ability. If using her gold eye, time is slowed in her perspective and the world is in a yellow tint, allowing her to see the potential outcomes of her own life, but not others, by a few minutes maximum. If someone throws something at Dolores while this is in use, she will easily be able to react and catch/dodge it. While not using her gold eye, Dolores’s future sight is limited to those who are related to her: if someone related to her is in danger, she can see their immediate future. This is a permanent effect, and because of that, Dolores always has constant head pains.

Full story can be found HERE. Warning: it's darker than Salem's story. -- -- -- -- -- El Principio: Sombra the Purest Seer At a time when the population of shining Heaven wasn’t as big as it is present day, a heavenly being with eyes as red as Hell was brought into existence, the product of an Angel and another unknown parent, that was made with the sole purpose of protecting others. She was given the name Dolores by her parents, which meant Sorrow and Pain, as they were expecting a Seraphim or Yeti child and not a petite and fragile Seer. Dolores’s mother later passed from unknown means, and none know what happened to her father, this all happening before she could even speak or crawl, painting the picture that her parents either died or abandoned her out of disappointment and heartbreak. It was now much farther in Sombra’s life. In appearance, she was a mature adult by Heaven’s standards, and merely a young teen by Earth’s. The year was around 200 BC as Sombra recorded the decree that those of Hellish origins were no longer allowed nor welcome into the cities of Heaven for their dastardly ways. From that moment on, most, but certainly not all, of the young seer’s assailants magically vanished, giving her some relief, however the relief was not to last. The following day, quite literally, all Hell broke loose, as the two opposing deities and their dimensions were at war. Before she knew it, those she helped in the past were at each other's throats, it didn’t matter if they were kin or friends. She even found out that some demonic beings were helping the side of Heaven on Earth, the battleground, as they believed Volos was incorrect for saying her decree was unjust. None of this however mattered to Sombra, as she continued helping any and all who needed it, careful to not give out information or assistance that would sway the war to any one side. Above all she was still apart of Heaven, and simply wanted to ease tension however she could. As always she continued her work until she bore witness to a horrible sight: by two deities she never expected to act in any truly meaningful way, her all was sealed away, and with the ruler of Heaven’s defeat, the strength she received from her being active and present in the world vanished as well. This was the breaking point for Sombra as all the lifelong physical and emotional pain built up, burst. Her strong emotions and untamed psychic prowess manifested and merged with her love for Akari, magic itself, and time, turning one of her eyes pure golden, her iris resembling that of a clock’s. With Akari’s influence limited, Sombra’s already twisted will wavered, so much so that she began questioning the morality of all sides of the War. Why did the unholy blasphemers cause so much needless destruction in Heaven and on Earth? Akari was of course correct in denying entrance to unholies, was she not? There was no reason Volos couldn’t see that, she thought. Question after question plagued her mind, and with each one answered wrongly, thousands of questions more took their rightful place. Sombra’s mind melted away, wrecked with headaches filled with pain and doubt. Should she even continue the purpose given to her…? She decided that would find out on her own. Sombra, after gaining the knowledge that something terrible was coming to cause more death to the officials of Heaven, left her home realm and went down to Earth. The moment she did, she could feel her connection to Heaven sever; the gates were closed. Whether she made the correct decision or not, there was no going back. On Earth, Sombra began going by her birth name once more, Dolores, and afterwards she immediately isolated herself from the world. Willingly cut off completely, she effectively avoided witnessing the creation of two groups that would soon be at each other’s throats. Eventually, she removed herself from her self-isolation, allowing herself to note the state of the world she now lived in. It was broken and disorganized, and the little ones who were as kind as she once was paid for the conflict with their lives. That day, ideas quickly formed in her head… if all were like her, there would be little to no death, and no one would have their world taken from her as she and her former siblings did. The Seer thought as well that her own siblings in Heaven were to blame, for they also took sides in the ordeal. Heaven fell to obscurity and froze to death, Hell rose to the sun and burned to death, and Earth was collateral damage and paid the price because none of them knew how to settle peacefully; they lacked the knowledge. The only dimension to directly prosper from this, she believed, was Purgatory, and unrightfully so. With twisted versions of answers she was rid of many questions, yet three main ones remained: How do you force peace upon a divided world,how do you touch a dimension you cannot reach, and how do you increase one’s one collection of powerful knowledge beyond the limit? Her answers? Use more than one body, and start another war, one more devastating than the last. Only then would all understand, and Dolores, after the ashes set, will control it all. She began to make preparations for her dark plans of peace and information. Step one: Create another body to store information in that is not her own, but connected to her. This body would then be able to reach where she cannot, and bear the illusion of free will. Enter Salem Esmeree. ------ Madame Dolores Sombra Esmeree It’s been over a decade since the homicide of her family, and Dolores was finishing a trade for a building she so desperately needed. She knew that her son lived. In what form and how he did accomplish this feat, she did not know, but wanted to know. Her goals had not altered, only grown in ambitious size. Now with a growing group of people under her control, she was slowly taking over the entirety criminal dark market underground as well as making a small name for herself in the wilderness she used to call home, along the way gaining the honorific of Madame. With all of this, Dolores decided that it was time to move further inland, to discover what new things she has missed, what she can learn, and how she can use that knowledge to achieve her goals, and possibly expand her dark market organization. She would do anything to get what she wanted, and those that stood in her way faced her might, even if it killed her. She was an Esmeree. The mother of them all that would change all else. To her, everyone is subject to her ideal perfect world, and there is no room for nonbelievers.

- It’s very obvious when Dolores’s golden eye is active: the iris starts spinning and the eye itself begins glowing a brighter shade of gold-yellow - Due to the constant stress and pain put on her by her eyes, Dolores is the definition of a glass canon, her body being weaker than an average human’s… which is why she has alternate means of defense/attack - Like her son, Salem, Dolores carries around two physical weapons: two pistols, both different lengths, and twelve bullets exactly. Somehow, she never runs out of ammo - Salem Esmeree has one black, normal eye and one red magical eye at his peak, his red eye being the source of most of his power. Dolores, however, has one red magical eye and one gold supernatural eye, it being symbolic of her showing that her son’s absolute best is only half of her absolute worst
