FROM THE DEPTHS OF DARKNESS
I ROSE INTO LIGHT
Quietly, Justin roamed the hallways of Ivory Fortress, his eyes curiously flickering over the dark brick walls. From the ceiling hung lights from a vague modernizing of the fortress. Things were edited out of convenience for the Assembly's purposes, although, he knew that prior to infiltration. With a rap sheet as a conman, nobody knew of his true alignment with the TRS except Hiroko Andreasen, another spy and his contacts at headquarters. Usefulness was feigned in the form of theatrics and the TRS providing him tidbits to feed to maintain his "worth".
Hence how Justin Bowman freely walked the hallways of the Assembly of Phantom's headquarters. They believed him one of them, somebody who was thoroughly enthralled in their values. While he appeared carefree in his wonder, but somber in expression, his thoughts churned. The arrival of autumn was among the busiest times to the Assembly of Phantoms. The increase in tourism resulted in them nearly doubling the terror they inflicted on Lorsette. The radical group held their opportunistic tendencies, and the autumn months were always a testament to it.
As he wandered the chilly corridors of the old fortress, his eyes scanned and his ears listened. The tiefling's duty on the September day was information gathering, however, he required a source. While through his excursions he passed the occasional pair, their conversations were personally geared and met with a prompt separation for work proceedings. Ultimately, it left the spy with little to gather on the recent affairs except for the basics. Terror presence would be increased, fear eaters and mutants being launched into the world to cause chaos.
Assembly members were prepped on the daily for missions in eradicating those who failed to adhere to their radical beliefs. Meanwhile, he attempted to gather information on the specifics happenings, although, Justin could only accomplish a limited amount of actions to assure that. In his lonesome, Justin's mind trailed back to thoughts of Tobirama. He knew the man he pined for worked for the TRS. It left the dark-haired man holding excitement for his eventual freedom from the responsibilities of being a spy.
Silently, Justin's hands retreated into the depth of his dress pants. A buttoned-up dress shirt covered his torso, a thick, black jacket hanging from the tiefling's shoulders. The outer world was cold with the coming autumn. To avoid the chill, the spy kept his jacket hanging from his shoulders. Silently, the man's bright yellow eyes scanned the area, recognizing the hall as among those near the testing labs. A soft sigh breezed through Justin's lips as he proceeded down the hallway, his footsteps echoing down the corridor.
Receiving entry into the laboratory area was beyond difficult, Justin hardly attempting the difficult task. Rather, he occasionally passed by, listening to the ongoing research. Although, the dark-haired tiefling admittedly found the noises from the laboratory either useless without context or downright chilling. There was no in between, merely something frightening or noises useless to his gatherings. The best context was gained when the laboratory workers left for breaks and occasionally spoke about their recent happenings.
He rounded the corner, heading down the hallway where the laboratory doors were located. People in the hallway were scarce as per usual, with a few merely using the corridor to reach their next destination. The sounds of equipment leaked out from the closed door as Justin passed, his eyes flitting over and feet stopping for a mere moment. He always wondered what happened within the room, however, he refused to question it to avoid suspicion's eye landing upon him. Moments later his feet started up again, slow as he shuffled down the hallway, searching for something useful.
