appearance Ky is built with strong core muscles and upper body strength, which is seen visually with a chiseled chest. While well toned, he is also tall and lanky, with angular facial features. He is often seen sporting plain T-shirtsl, leather or denim jackets, black jeans and black, heeled (often knee-high) boots. It's also not unusual to see him in high end brand clothing or following current fashion trends. Ky is the type of person that can easily mingle among any kind of crowd. Often confident and with a sassy streak, his digs and witty remarks can be disregarded. He's casual and laid-back by default, making him relatively approachable. Though he does often act on impulse and once his mind is made up, it's very difficult to get him to change it. He's honest and won't pull punches about what he thinks, so it's sometimes better not to ask for his opinion or advice if you really don't want an answer. On top of this, he's a kitty with claws. Catch him on a bad day or in a bad mood and his digs are no longer light-hearted and they aim to hurt - he becomes snarky. And depending on the situation or what caused his switch to flip, he can also become physical. abilities Enhanced Endurance: A natural ability not requiring control. He can take a few more hits and last a little longer than the average joe. Fire Immune: A natural ability not requiring control. He is not flammable by ordinary standards. While he can catch fire, he is unaffected by it and can endure extreme temperatures. He can however still be burned by holy water, wounds from which take 2-3 months to heal. Immortality: A natural ability requiring some level of control and understanding. Despite Ky's relative youth, he had picked and chosen what to focus on and what to become adept at. The ceasing of the ageing process being one of them. He has ceased his ageing process and has kept his age at somewhere in the 20s. Fire Manipulation: Who doesn't love playing with a bit of fire? At least until they get burned. Fire manipulation allows the user to create, shape and use the particles in the air to cause combustion and create flame which can be used to varying degrees. Ky can create flames on his hands and throw them, though the further he throws them, the more they begin to fizzle out. He can also create a wall of flame around himself as a sort of shield or barrier. However the longer he holds the barrier the more energy he uses up. Darkness Manipulation: What is darkness but the absence or lack of light? Darkness can be manipulated in many ways, as both a solid substance and shapes on the wall. Ky can utilise an array of these abilities, having focused more on using the shadows for cover of his criminal activity. However he can manipulate shapes on the wall and create solid and physical constructs. When creating cover, larger the area he covers the more strain it has on his body. When it comes to shapes they're a lot easier than physical constructs, but physical constructs are sturdier, though the larger the size the harder it is to create. Hexes: A type of magic ability that many are adept at, however, hexes are one of the abilities he's not the best at. He prefers the chalk method over the blood method and focuses more on disguise and teleportation hexes as opposed to the others. Possession: The abilith to take over and control an individual. Due to lack of practice and skill, he cannonly possess weaker individuals and not for very long before he is ejected out of the body of the person he's possessing. He cannot enter any places blessed by Akari, including but not limited to churches. Being blessed by angels or fallen angels can cause power drains due to the conflicting angel and demon magic within his being. backstory When asked for a story, what do you tell? What do you reveal and what do you keep secret? Where do you begin? Sure it seems logical to begin at the beginning from your birth, but what if there was no life lead by the baby version of you? People are only interested in happenings, in action, in stories that seem ethereal. The reality vs fiction debate. No one bothers with the small boring details. But it's those details that are the most important. You see, even though time has passed since the War of Traitors, and even though there are those born in more recent times and brought up in a humanised society, if you're different, if you are not "Earthly" then you not normal. Your species defines you and your role in society. So for Ky having been born a demon, despite his upbringing in modern society, had always been treated like an outcast. Sure he had friends but he also had bullies. His early years were spent in withdrawal and reservation. He was quiet and he tried not to step on any toes. Hard to believe given what he's like these days, but it is what it is. As he grew older, and as he grew tired of the same old thing, he started dishing out what he got served. Using it as an excuse to practice his powers. He was suspended and expelled from many schools as his behaviour grew worse. He didn't really start his crime spree until his later teen years and early adulthood as he fell into the gang scene. He didn't stay there very long, long enough to work his way up and learn the tools of the trade and leave, making his own way through life. He had begun using his powers to cover his tracks, getting better as he went along. Spending quite a few years doing this. Mostly minor crimes such as petty theft, breaking and entering, trespassing. As far as everyday life went, he followed basic law, his crimes done sporadically. Still, when you're pretty much immortal, even that can get boring, he spent a good portion of his life practicing his powers and seeing how far he can push the boundaries of law. Eventually time blurred together and he found himself becoming a mercenary for sorts. Not quite a hit-for-hire as he dabbled in other crimes more, but it wasn't unusual to make people disappear either. He decided that with the chaos between AP and TRS, he could fly under the radar a lot easier and upped the ante. His easy going nature making him easy to approach and even easier to miss.
