Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
she could hear her stomach growl at her. she had just finished talking to a patient when her stomach growled. interrupting her during a very important speech. of course she finished her speech and walked out completely embarrassed. it was a miracle when she had a couple of minutes to herself. she had done her rounds and found herself with sometime to herself.
without thinking twice she rushed towards the cafeteria. she had missed breakfast, which was a bad idea. she was able to snack here and there, but what she wanted was a meal. she smiled softly, glad to see there wasn't a huge line. now the only problem was deciding what she wanted to eat. again her stomach growled at her. she picked up her pace and went over and got in line.
in the end she ended up getting a bowl of soup, a sandwich and a bag of chips. she walked over towards a table near a window. she had sat her tray down but was already eating chips."i forgot to get dessert."she told herself as she looked back at the line. she might have to get it after she got done eating.
Naia sighed as she finished filling out the paperwork left before her. One more down and... She flipped through a whole stack that had yet to reach the bottom. ...Many more to go. Honestly, she would have thought that the communications would be up-to-date by now. Why hadn't anyone said anything any sooner? It was beyond irritating that they would leave the superiors to do more work and- She paused as she realized what she just thought.\
"...I need a break," she sighed as she got up and stretched. She was feeling a little hungry at the moment, so it wouldn't hurt to go to the cafeteria and get something to eat. Her feet padded along the floor lightly as she made her way to the cafeteria where she knew there would be some other recruits there. Probably hunters returning from the line of duty, she didn't know. In any case, food sounded great.
"Ah yes, there's the line," she murmured quietly to herself as she entered the cafeteria. Adjusting her little cloak, she got into line and tried to peer past the people to see what there was. ...Was-Was that macaroni and cheese? Her eyes widened comically before she broke out into a grin. Well, she was definitely going to eat well for this particular meal. She loved macaroni and cheese and would have taken the whole tray if others weren't going after it. She was tempted to abuse her status a little, but she decided to wait and see if there was anything else.
Eventually it came her turn to grab something and she piled on a couple of large dollops of the macaroni and cheese for a moment before being shooed away by the cafeteria lady. She understood why though, she shouldn't be too greedy after all. Still, macaroni and cheese! Once she gotten her bowl of soup as an appetizer and some canned peaches and oatmeal raisin cookies, she made her way to the open area of the cafeteria and looked around. Where should she sit? Her grey eyes scanned the room until it fell on an open spot by the window. She made her way there, noticing that there was someone already there. Wouldn't hurt to ask though, right? "Mind if I sit here?" she asked as she set down her tray full of macaroni.
it was surprising the amount of people that worked here. of course not only was the medic building here there were other divisions here too. she let her eyes wander over each color badge. green for medics. she heard about the others, but at the moment she was drawing a blank as to what they were.
she waited for her soup to cool down a bit. she scooped up her sandwich and took a bite. it was at that moment that someone had walked up to the table. setting her sandwich down she quickly grabbed a napkin and wiped her face. she shook her head at their question."ah, no i don't. go ahead seat is all yours."she said with a smile.
Naia smiled warmly. "Thank you," she said as she sat down. She stared at her food for a moment before delicately taking a spoonful of macaroni and shoving it in her face. There was some stray cheese on her face as she chewed with her eyes closed, completely at bliss. Yes, macaroni and cheese, the food of the gods. Such a wonderful invention, she wondered who invented it for it to exist from time to time since it was so good.
She ate a few more spoonfuls messily before taking her napkin and wiping her face. Then, as if she realized she had forgotten the other girl, began to address her. "I don't believe we have formally met," the wraith said while keeping a graceful smile on her face, "My name is Naia. I'm a deputy here. What's your name and your station?" She was genuinely curious as to what the other girl was like. It wasn't often she met with some of the recruits below her rank unless in business. ...Well, other than when she was eating lunch and being sociable. She was generally unsociable when focused on business and far too serious for anyone's liking, but that's what made her her.
she couldn't help but laugh softly. it seemed like she wasn't the only one that was very hungry today. the girl before her thanked her and started eating. danika watched her for a few seconds before turning her attention back to her own meal. she wiped her face with her napkin and looked up once the girl started speaking.
"oh, nice to meet you naia."dankia assumed she was a tad bit young, but then again looks could be decieving. never judge a book by its cover."im danika and im in the ward. medic."she said sounding a but nervous. she wasn't sure why. it wasn't like she was lying about her position.
