Aside from his POPPIN' muscles, Indris isn't much to look at. His attire consists of nothing more than a tight pair of belted jeans and gray bandages wrapped up from his heels to his lower knees. On his forearms are the bulky shackles that held him a prisoner to his cell years prior, with the same gray bandages accompanying them underneath. Of course, that isn't much of a fashion choice, but they aren't exactly something he can take off... due to the shackle around his neck, wearing a shirt is more of a burden than anything, so he prefers to show a little skin. Despite the many known tales of his imprisonment, Indris is a rather witty fellow that, more than anything, gets his enjoyment from educating ignorant minds - beit through books or physical demonstration. His many years of wrongful imprisonment forged his will into an unbreakable, hellbent flame that seeks only to make change and tear down the so called leaders that thrive on the misery of the misfortuned. While he prefers to spend his downtime alone, his biggest goal is to start a revolution; carrying the gifted to fortune, and dragging down the wealthy and its throne of "leaders" with them. Not many know Idris' other side, and not many probably ever will.
Abilities | |||||||||
➤ overall | |||||||||
Liberation (Copy Cat) Idris may "hijack" a gift of his choice from target person. Until the next two turns (four posts after using), Idris may freely use the hijacked ability just as its owner would use it, gaining all strengths and weaknesses of said gift until its duration ends. After using a hijacked gift, "Liberation" has a two turn cool down (four posts after using). "Liberation" will go on cool down after two turns even if Idris does not use the hijacked ability. Idris only stores one instance of the hijacked ability, meaning he can use it once after receiving it, but can obtain it again by using "Liberation" after the cool down is up. * "Liberation" does not prevent the other user from using the hijacked ability, it simply grants Idris a one time use of it. * Idris can only obtain someone's gift through physical contact, meaning he must touch someone while using "Liberation" in order to hijack their gift. Gift of the Shackled (Metal Manipulation) Attached to Idris' forearms are the very shackles that once bound him to his prison cell (see here for reference). While they are not bound to him, he cannot fully free himself from their grasp... and so, he chooses to use them as weapons. "Gift of the Shackled" strengthens the shackles' durability, while allowing Idris to exert magical energies into them. These energies allow him to manipulate these shackles in anyway he pleases, whether that is for fighting or every day life. He can use them as weapons: to whirl and lash at his opponents, or grapple to them. They can also act as a defense: providing safety behind their blessed metal, or as weights, to pin himself to a surface for whatever purpose that may serve. Of course they have other uses, but Idris... he likes to fight. * "Gift of the Shackled" hinders Idris' movements, as he can only move so quickly with 200+ lbs of metal dragging behind him. * Idris shackles will glow up to signify he is using magic to manipulate them.

(THIS IS A QUICK SYNOPSIS, I WILL BE WRITING HIS FULL BACKSTORY LATER IN FULL DETAIL.) Indris grew up in a European town that hated all things magic -- nothing of "gifted" origin was allowed in, and all gifted people were exiled, else be publicly executed as a means of getting the message across: "Magic is a curse from the gods." Indris' parents knew of his gifts, but were unable to leave the city due to a lack of money. They themselves did not possess any gifts, and believed that as long as Indris didn't use his abilities, he would not be executed. On one fateful day, while Indris and his mother were out shopping, they were approached by a thief who demanded they turn over all their belongings, including the shirts on their backs. His mother, refusing to comply, pulled a knife on the thief, hoping she could catch him off guard. Unfortunately, after a struggle of control with the thief, she ended up impaling herself, falling to the ground with an eerie screech, while Indris stood next to her in shock. Believing Indris to be nothing more than a useless child, he began to search the woman's body for valuables as she breathed her last breath. Unbeknownst to him, Indris was far more than just a child, and he was more than prepared to avenge his mother. With the thief preoccupied, Indris lunged at him with magical force, knife in hands, slamming him to the ground before he could react. After moments of struggling, the thief collapsed, meeting an ironic demise as Idris stood over him with nothing but hate in his eyes. Bystanders had notified the authorities of the incident, and mere minutes after, they had arrived at the scene. Unfortunately, they did not take Idris' side, forcing the magic wielding boy into his new home: a high security cell, where he would spent the next decade and a half of his life plotting his escape. He spent his days reading books provided by the guards, pondering how he could free himself. He fought with the shackles, hoping his gift would assist him, to no avail. So he kept reading. The many years he spent fighting the shackles paid off, as he had finally discovered that his magical prowess could, not only absorb other energies, but exude them as well... all he needed was a spark to set him free. As fate would have it, the mere touch of one of the guards was all it took to rip the shackles out of the cold concrete that bound them, and, in a few bloody minutes, Idris had fought himself out of the prison, sparing no one who got in his way. He would make it be known they locked up a boy, and let loose a killer. Closing a chapter of his life, he fled to Canada, where he seeked to start his rebellion, and find others who shared his ideology: Anyone who seeks the crown is a person worthy of death.
