Elizabeth “Beth” Pierce tell me reality is better than a dream. general info
appearance Similarly to other elves, Beth has an ethereal beauty tempered by subtle flaws that are all she seems to notice. She's young in a mature way, with delicate features shaping an elegant face. Hair falls from her head like liquid chocolate, shiny and smooth from years of careful care. Two pools of absinthe glitter like emeralds at the center of her doe eyes. Her lightly freckled skin has a rosy glow. Beth doesn't have much faith in her natural beauty. She knows she's pretty, but many of the features others might see as blessings make her look younger and more naive, which she absolutely loathes. She lines her eyes to make them seem sharper, better reflecting her cool intelligence. As much as she'd tried in the past, her skin doesn't tan at all. For all the time she spends on her face, she doesn't care what her outfits look like. She usually dresses for comfort, wearing a casual shirt of sweatshirt and leggings. She typically wears her hair down, but she always has a ponytail with her and will tie it up when she needs to focus on something. personality
Beth is the quiet girl in the back of the class room, but judging her to be shy would be far from the truth. In reality, she will openly speak her opinion without care for what others think if she is asked or if she feels particularly strongly about something. She tends to look at things from multiple points of view before making a decision, but once she does she sticks to it. She doesn’t change her opinions once they are formed. She hates being confined, mentally or physically. She’ll commonly look for exits when she enters a room for the first time. She also won’t abide by any rules that she feels stops her from doing what she considers to be right. Beth was outcast as a child, and she wouldn’t let anyone else feel the same. If she befriends someone, she will defend them however she thinks is best, even if it causes harm to her. She doesn’t tend to see anyone as bad. Even if someone is picking on her, she’ll try to figure out why, spending more time with them instead of trying to avoid them. She isn’t good at white lies, so if someone asks if they’re stupid and she thinks they are, she’ll say yes. Beth may have a lot of people that consider her a friend but she rarely considers them friends. She has trust and abandonment issues and won’t let herself really get close to anyone. She is very artistic. She’s an actress and likes drawing abilities Enhanced Speed ~ Running is a part of Beth’s daily routine. She already has enhanced speed, allowing her to move faster than most humans can, but she has issues with stamina. As such when she runs she usually goes slower and tries to run further. Elven Music ~ This ability allows the user to create magic music that either comforts or harms those who listen. She isn’t an expert or anything, but she’s liked singing since she was a child and she doesn’t like seeing people hurt, so she has a vague sense of how to comfort people through song. Natural ~ Enhanced Beauty, Enhanced Eyesight, Enhanced Dexterity, Slow Aging Minimal Control ~ Tree of Stone and Plant Growth. She hasn’t tried either of them and she doesn’t know where to start. She could learn in the future though. backstory Beth learned young how to take care of herself. She never really got the chance to know either of her parents. After giving birth to her her mom vanished, leaving her father to take care of a child he wasn’t prepared for. He didn’t do too bad of a job, but he didn’t have long to prove himself either. He moved back to his native home in Canada when she was only 7 months old and a month later he got in a car accident and died. With no one to take care of her, Beth was put into an orphanage where she was all but forgotten about. Well, she wasn’t completely forgotten about. She was an adorable child and there were plenty of families willing to adopt her. But time and time again she was taken in, turned out to be a bigger problem than anticipated, and thrown out. She didn’t mean to cause trouble, it just seemed to follow her around. Kids in class would pick on her and she didn't like it so she'd fight back. When she finally managed to control her temper she was too docile, leading her to be grumpy with whoever her guardian at the time was. When she was faced with bad influences she just didn't know how to say no. When she was 8 she thought she'd finally found her perfect family. They had a son, Nathan, who was a couple of years older than her, so they had some experience raising kids already. She didn't let herself get too close immediately - she was cautious even at that age - but time passed and nothing bad happened. A year went by and she'd even made some friends at her new school. But, as always, nothing good could last forever. When she was 9 she got sick. She'd never really been sick before, and this one was bad. She had to stay in bed for a week. Fortunately What used to be a home became a mournful cemetery. It was understandable, but the people she'd considered to be parents pulled away from her, more consumed by their own grief than worried about hers. When she started getting in fights at school, she was sent back to the orphanage once more. By the time she was 10 everyone had given up on her. She was dubbed the Ghost of the Orphanage, cursed to stay until she could take care of herself. She didn’t really mind. She didn’t want to deal with people pretending to be her parents. As far as she was concerned, her blood ran through her and no one else, so no one else had the right to try to shape her. She didn’t need the guidance of a parent to succeed, either. She was a focused student and she excelled in almost all of her classes. In fact, if she didn’t succeed she took note of it and made sure it didn’t happen again. When she had time off, she'd make herself useful doing random chores. When she was 16, this started to change. She'd always been different and she wanted to fit in for once. She had a number of 'friends' but she wasn't too close to any of them. One of these friends, Jake, was a particularly bad influence. It started with small things, like parties and skipping classes, until eventually, she was a part of his friend group. She tried to avoid anything too bad, but it was only a matter of time before she was convinced to try worse things like alcohol and drugs. She wanted to be accepted and it seemed like the easiest way. She still kept her grades up and stayed on top of things, but she slipped into some bad habits in the years before she graduated high school. Fortunately, once she was away from those friends in college she saw the error of her ways. It was a struggle to get back on the right path, but she joined a theater group to distract herself. She was playing Alice in Alice in Wonderland when she was spotted by a scout and offered an audition for a movie. She took it, not really thinking it would go anywhere, but soon enough she was asked to play a role on a sitcom who would be a part of the show for the whole season, so she had a year of work lined up for her. Forced to make a decision, she decided to aim for a career as an actress. She moved her studies online and got a job as a waitress to help support herself a bit more. She's had plenty of success in the past few years, even if balancing academics with everything is hard. Recently she switched jobs. Instead of waiting tables she serves drinks at a local bar. misc Likes: Art, being outside in the rain, acting Dislikes: Being inside, being restrained, pity | roleplayer info ☆ NAME Leesee ☆ RP EXPERIENCE About 5 years? ☆ TIMEZONE CET ☆ GENDER Female ☆ AGE Teen-aged ☆ OTHER CHARACTERS Lexie Abbot ☆ FACE CLAIM THE IDOLMASTER, Shibuya Rin ---------------------- THIS CHARACTER BELONGS TO LEEseE.
