Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

Itsumo walked around the mall carrying nothing but a single bag. It's contents were a bottle of shiner and a single rag. He held the bag close to him, he was still a little flustered from his encounter at the last clothes shop he was at. He had been shopping for an outfit, (For he still wasn't that used to walking around practically naked), and had been looking for clothes that were supposedly "One Size Fit's All". For a world where there are species of all sizes, how come he still couldn't find clothes that fit him? And to make it worse, he had been yelled at by an employee at Old Navy for tearing some clothes he had been trying on. "Why was that lady so mean?" He whispered to himself. He stood still and looked forward, his eyes serious. Today was an important day. After his shining later he was gonna hit the streets and stop some bad guys, like a true hero. He hugged his bag in anticipation, but accidentally squeezed to hard, tearing the bag and popping the bottle of shiner. He was suddenly covered in the glistening liquid, standing in the middle of the mall...like a complete idiot. Why was he such a clutz? Itsumo attempted to clean himself with the rag as people walk around him.
Carter had decided to leave his home and head to the mall. It had been a while since he had last seen Jayden and he was curious if he would see him out and about, though to his disappointment, Jayden was nowhere in sight. Of course during one of his many shop searching he had come across Itsumo. A man, or at least that was his belief, hidden in armor, that was at the clothing store for some strange reason or another. He didn't believe in supernaturals so to him, it seemed that Itsumo was wearing the armor for fun over it being necessary to live. It hadn't come as a surprise when the clothes Itsumo had tried on and ripped on him. An employee had yelled at him and Itsumo had left the store. He quickly pulled out his check book to pay for the ripped clothes and requested forgiveness on behalf of Itsumo before exiting the store. No where did he go? He thought to himself, only noticing him when the bag Itsumo had been holding had ripped and the bottle of shiner had popped, making a mess everywhere, including on Itsumo.
People had walked by Itsumo, appearing to not notice or maybe they just didn't care. Itsumo worked on cleaning himself up, slowly he reached out to pick up the bottle that was opened and stuck it in the bag before attempting to make the bag become closed so that it wouldn't leak through the hole. "Are you alright?" He asked, knowing that Itsumo likely was embarrassed after everything that had happened so far.
"Are you alright?" Itsumo looked up at the young blond person who was offering him a kind smile. He stood up and continued wiping himself off, attempting to clean the shiner ghat was in yellow-ish blobs all over his chestplate. "Yes, Yes, I am quite alright. Just a little...messy at the moment." Itsumo replied, in the same deep metallic voice that he had for the last couple months. He wiped off the last glob of the shiner and held the rag between his fingers. He reached out his hand to Carter so he could take the bag and cleaner and throw it away.
"I am fine. It's just a bit hard to control my strength sometimes you see, it's a little overwhelming at times. But at least I won't have to worry that I won't have enough strength in a fight eh?" Itsumo instantly regretted his words. He wondered if he sounded like some sort of brute to this kind fellow. He noticed a someone had already arrived on the scene, cleaning up the mess. The janitor shot him daggers when he looked up, and Itsumo averted his eyes. "Anyway, thanks for your concern. My name is Itsumo, what's yours?" @spiritfoxxy (or would I tag @carter ?)
Carter watched as Itsumo had looked up at him, offering a smile. It was so strange talking to a man in armor.... Itsumo continued wiping himself off, trying to get as much shiner off as possible. "I see." He answered, smiling sweetly at him. As soon as he was finished wiping the glob off, he reached his hand out and he slowly handed the bag with the shiner in it, to him. He listened as Itsumo spoke. "I see." He answered, not really understanding, because it wasn't normally for him to be dressed in all armor, of course he also didn't believe in supernaturals, so if he were told it wouldn't be believed right off the bat. "In a fight?" He asked, backing away slowly as if Itsumo had meant that comment towards him. Another person had arrived to the scene to clean up the mess on the ground, he noticed the janitor before looking back towards Itsumo. "I'm Carter, a please to meet you, Itsumo." He answered in return before slowly reaching his hand out in an attempt to shake Itsumo's.
Itsumo shook his hand tenderly, hoping he didn't squeeze to hard. "Carter huh? I use to know someone named Carter, we use to go to photography meetings together." Itsumo let go of Carters hand. "Sorry for any trouble I may have caused you Carter. Here, let me make it up to you, we should go to the food court and I'll get you something." Itsumo would've said this with a smile, but that was impossible with the armor. He stood up strait, and began walking to the court, not paying to much attention if Carter was behind him. It would be normal if Carter was to afraid to come with him, he was use to people being weary of him already.@carter
Carter could feel his strength as he shook Itsumo's hand. "Oh?" He asked, curious as he listened to Itsumo speaking. When they released hands, he slipped his hands in his pocket. "Trouble? You haven't caused me any trouble." He answered, noticing Itsumo already walking away from him. He quickly withdrew his check book to pay the janitor before putting it away to chase after Itsumo who was farther away from him, only slowing as soon as he caught up. "For wearing armor, you are fast." He answered in return, impressed, still expecting to see a human under there.
Itsumo was slightly relieved that Carter was still following him. "No human here, 100% golem." He told him, since he obviously still thought he was just some weirdo wearing armor. Itsumo walked slowly towards court, his footsteps causing the ground to slightly shake. "By the way Carter, is there any stuff you don't eat? Like meat or bread? I don't wanna buy you something you can't even eat." Itsumo hoped he sounded joyful, but knew his voice could sound flat.
Carter froze when he heard Itsumo's comment. Why is it, everybody is trying to convince me supernatural's exist? He thought to himself, unable to prove otherwise. Besides he wanted to believe that Jayden hadn't been lying to him when he had proven his power. "I see." He answered, jogging to catch up with him once more. "I am still getting used to the idea of supernatural's existing." He explained, curious on how Itsumo would react to him admitting that. They moved towards the food court, "I'm not a picky eater." He answered, wanting to make this as simple as much as possible. "Are you sure that you want to buy me anything though? I mean I did what I could... any reasonable person would." He answered, knowing that some people really could be harsh when handling others that they viewed below them or weird for that matter.
"Eh, I suppose I just need to satisfy myself with a feeling of repayment." He looks back at Carter. "I guess I'm kinda selfish huh?" Itsumo steps up to the counter of a pretzel stand. He asks for one large pretzel and hands the cashier his money. When she tried to give back his five dollar change, he told her to just keep it as tip. He wanted to think that he did it out of the kindness of his heart, but really was just embarrassed on how frightened she looked. Itsumo turned back around to Carter and 'smiled'. "I hope you like pretzels." @carter
Carter listened as Itsumo gave his answer in return. "No... it isn't..." He answered, side glancing when stared at, only to look back at Itsumo when he ordered at the counter of a pretzel stand. He watches the exchange, it could be just him but she looked rather frightened, somewhat grateful that she didn't have to hand the money back to him, because it meant avoiding contact. When Itsumo turned around to face him, he smiled back at him. "I do." He then side glanced again. "It must be hard..." He answered, forcing himself to look back towards Itsumo. "Being treated like this, I mean." He answered, still unsure on if he was scary and good or if he was bad and just putting on a show. "Do you like pretzels?" He asked, curious on the answer.
