macbeth okorie i won’t be broken again. general info
appearance Thick through his veins runs the blood of a yeti, bringing Macbeth to the intense height of 6’6” due to those genes. Those of the Okorie family are expected to be proud of their tall stature, although Macbeth displays an indifferent nature to extreme height. As a fighter, Macbeth consistently exercises, accomplishing his routine to manifest a strong body. The amount of time he invests in forging his frame has forged abs and a muscular body. These features are assisted by his species, allowing him to maintain his strength easily. The man possesses a fair complexion, however, there is nothing flawless about the flesh that covers Macbeth’s body. From the torture inflicted on him around the age of 18, paler scars carve into his chest along with several smaller scars across his arms. There are a few scars that litter his knuckles and other portions of his body from his occupation. A well-defined and slender face is settled upon the mighty shoulders of Macbeth Okorie. High-standing cheekbones rest below his eyes leading down into a slightly pointed chin, giving his face an almond shape. Caramel brown eyes peer from his face, their somewhat golden colour making them attractive to observe. Alas, darkness lurks beneath them, manifested from cruel experiences. This sometimes gives his caramel eyes a duller glaze as memories flicker behind a mind older than his body. Atop his head lays a messy mop of chestnut brown hair, cut short from the front and narrowly reaching the nape of his neck. On his face is a petite nose, making it nothing particularly noticeable when people accomplish a glance over. By all regards, he is considered an average looking individual with the exception of his scars. Clothing is hardly of importance in Macbeth’s eyes the moment he freed himself from the shackles of his family. Throughout his childhood and early teens, his parents demanded the wearing of formal clothing, however, since his torture, he despises formal wear. He refuses to wear it, the fabric operator as a grim memory of the horrors he endured in their house and beneath their iron-fisted ruling. Hence, Macbeth wears the opposite nowadays and prefers casual wears. He particularly prefers simple t-shirts and jeans with no extravagances wrapped around his muscular frame. Rarely, he will wear semi-formal clothing to please his partner, Zera, however, he proves to be hesitant about it. The only formal wear he is comfortable with is his TRS uniform. Similar to all of his kind, Macbeth can shift into a thick-furred beast. Due to originate from the desolate tundra of Nunavut, his hair fades into a snow-white colour. This is believed to be his abilities providing him a natural camouflage to hide his massive frame. When shifted into his yeti form, Macbeth possesses a body closer to a giant ape-like creature. His white fur is thick and long, ultimately designed to maintain warmth in the frigid conditions. He gains an extra foot on people upon shifting and his muscles become larger, making him a frightful force. personality
abilities Water Manipulation -- Intermediate The ability to control water, allowing the user to create and manipulate water. Rarely does Macbeth use this ability offensively. Regularly, the man uses this ability to remove liquid from close or dry his thick fur. There are few offensive implications for Macbeth, however, he has always preferred his ice manipulation when it comes to attacking. As a result, any large manipulation with water would quickly exhaust him. Ice Manipulation -- Mastered The ability to control ice, allowing the user to forge items from ice or cause areas to freeze. The Okorie family has always been notoriously better at ice manipulation opposed to water manipulation. Within seconds, Macbeth could create ice and transform them into spears to shoot his opponents. Furthermore, because of the yeti's capabilities he can create large-scale ice manipulation. This includes making shields from ice that are thick and stronger than expected. Due to Macbeth’s mastery, he can coat things in a frost or thin ice coat to make people slip or to make a room colder. As expected of ice, there is a severe weakness to heat and fire. The ice can be melted and is accompanied by intense heat, the ice can easily melt. Naturally, this ability consumes Macbeth’s energy the longer he uses, the larger the manipulation consuming more energy. Constant large manipulation can result in Macbeth requiring rest to restore his energy. Enhanced Strength -- Advanced The ability to enhance one’s strength beyond that of an average individual. As somebody who constantly gets shoved into combat situations, strength comes in handy. People attempt to overpower him despite his large frame, it was proven by his parents and his sister. Thus, Macbeth trained himself in his strength to avoid those situations. When fighting against others, he will enhance his strength to shove people off him. Otherwise, he will use his strength when swinging weapons or ramming into walls. With the lending of additional strength, he can successfully damage people drastically to assure he will win the battle. Alas, the more enhanced strength Macbeth uses, the hungrier he becomes. The ability has served him with a mighty appetite, thus Macbeth must eat plenty to maintain his energy for the ability. Yeti Shift -- Mastered The ability to shift into a long-haired ape-like creature. As a yeti, Macbeth is capable of shifting into said form. In this form, he is gifted with strength a little stronger than his human form. He becomes significantly larger, his muscles becoming larger as he shifts. While this form is plenty stronger and more resistant to cold winds, there are outlying weaknesses. In his yeti form, Macbeth is more susceptible to overheating because of the thick fur he gains. Therefore, he must be cautious when using this form. Furthermore, it takes time to shift into his yeti form, and when that happens, he is vulnerable to attack. One notable trait of his yeti form is Macbeth is less tolerable and gets angry easier, which is believed to come from the influence of his beast form. Cursed Immortality -- No Control An immortality manifested from a curse, created to make Macbeth remember the pain inflicted on him years ago. As a result, he has a tendency to act out because of the traumatic situation. It is believed this gave him acute PTSD symptoms. He does not have a proper diagnosis, so it is difficult to confirm if it is accurate. Naturals: Cold Weather Resistance, Enhanced Durability, Enhanced Senses backstory Two paths... intertwined like tightly bound threads of destiny. Once upon a time, there were two families woven together through the bonds they created and shared Heavenly nature. The heads of those families were the closest of friends who sought one another daily to share conversation. Through the War of Traitors they lived, fighting alongside Akari’s great army in a pursuit for well-needed justice against the malicious Hell cretins. A friendship was forged through the clashing of blades, two individuals protecting one another’s backs in the perilous war. A bound that transcended generations was birthed through the 200 years of ravaging war. When the gates closed, the families set out together, their connection burning bright as they settled in what would become Iqaluit, Nunavut in modern times. But threads would fray and strands pulled apart. Originally birthed from an ancient war, they believed nothing could shatter the bond between families... but they were wrong. Zeredah, a woman who made herself feared by sharing the malicious beasts rose from the shadowed depth. She claimed things would become better, stating she held those crucial keys for world peace. When the day retired, thoughts filtered through the minds of both families. In a mere few days, the Terror Response Syndicate rose to counter the freshly created Assembly of Phantoms. The two families brought forth their opinions and discovered a contrast between their beliefs. The Okories believed Zeredah’s words, wishing to follow them similar to a holy gospel while their friends... they believed the TRS. Those differences summoned a clash between the families, a pot boiling over as everything built through the centuries was shattered in a single day... no longer did friendship exist, but hatred. Until they became a tangled mess of anger on the floor. ---------- Inside the walls of a lavish manor lived a family, boastful of their achievements and eternally faithful to Zeredah and her ideals. Years ago they settled in the quiet province of Nunavut in its largest city, Iqaluit. Their prestigious wealth kept them from being detained by law enforcement and effectively kept the family safe to start their next generation. Brielle Okorie was the eldest child, a girl who held the similar heavenly genes expected of their family. She was followed by the youngest and final child, Macbeth Okorie. As children, the siblings kept to their own games because of their age gap. Furthermore, Brielle would be taught the rites of the Okorie family in order to one day become the family’s heir. It maintained the separation between them and allowed Macbeth to flourish socially because of his freedoms. He hungered for friendship as any young boy should, however, something always haunted the Okorie house. Yet, there was a single, outstanding rule in the Okorie house... never treat the Hyuga’s with a shred of kindness. Several proclamations were expelled from the lips of Macbeth’s about the dastardly deeds of the Hyugas. Most consisted of foiled missions and minor altercations. Never an inquiry escaped Macbeth’s left since a single attempt at a word would be greeted with a firm ‘shhh’ from his mother. Silence consumed him as his father ranted, mother merely listening and simultaneously ushering him out the room. As a child, he could never comprehend the situation properly, merely thinking about how they were people. Several times Macbeth marched down the hallway filled with family portraits, always curious on if his ancestors were similar to his father. It was a curiosity as he stared up as stern-faced men and women painted with serious expressions and detailed colours that allowed for realism. He could never help, but pondered, trying to understand why they hated the Hyugas. Intrigue was fueled by a blue-haired little girl attending his elementary school class. Information was provided by the teacher as introductions were given through a gleeful kindergarten classroom. Through those introductions, Macbeth Okorie met the daughter, Zera Hyuga. Initial hesitancy felt natural after the endless amounts of rumors exchanged inside the Okorie household. Alas, they eventually began playing together and Macbeth discovered a wonderful friend in the daughter of the Hyugas. Only days after the initial classes of kindergarten did Macbeth inquire about their hatred for the Hyugas and received an ill-favouring chastising. “They are TRS Macbeth! They betrayed us by following that path opposed to the commands of Zeredah.” Father, he was always a stern man when it came to these matters. The young boy cowered away, mumbled an apology and uncomfortably waited through their return home. Silence fell whenever Macbeth would be inquired about his friends. Every time he failed to mention Zera. Friendship was something the youngest Okorie wanted to maintain with the blue-haired girl. Eventually, they discovered a location where they could hide and spend time alone without the worries of their parents. A tall tree near a small body of water, hidden by thick brush where they could hide. They skipped rocks, talked and played some of their little games. As children they would grow, gradually transforming into their own individuals together. Their bond was tight from their childhood of secrets and enjoyment. Hence, it displayed the colours of his emotions evolved from the original feelings of platonic relations. Around 13, Macbeth found himself searching her out with her eyes whenever a sporting event arrived. Constantly, he worked hard to impress Zera, as though it was a requirement whenever her heavenly eyes observed him. He tried hard, and sometimes he failed, but others he would succeed and earn a smile from her. It was everything the young boy wanted, a smile from the blue-haired maiden he befriended all those years ago. Years were passing slowly as Macbeth tried his hardest to charm Zera. Whether it be a silly joke, impressing her with his sports capability or even plain conversation, Macbeth wanted to do anything to please her. Unfortunately, the traditions of the Okorie family would begin having their vice grip around the young Macbeth Okorie. Servitude to the Assembly of Phantoms and their queen, Zeredah, was always an upcoming expectation Macbeth always held mixed feelings about. Training began with combat, the young man being forced to learn new skills with a variety of weapons. Everything he did was the preparation work to transform him into an Assembly soldier, an occupation his parents desired for him. They enforced the teachings of the Assembly, preaching Zeredah’s twisted gospel at every opportunity. Through those words, Macbeth kept interacting with Zera with a different goal in the forefront of his mind. He wanted to be somebody she wanted to be around, anything less being a downfall on his part. Eventually, his charms earned him Zera as a girlfriend, something which made Macbeth a proud, young man. While their relationship was for the most part secretive, he loved being around his beautiful girlfriend. Through the remainder of high school he remained with his sweetheart and half-listened to the teachings provided. He wanted to avoid the war between TRS and AP to spend time with the gorgeous Zera. He graduated around the age of 18, the pressures of his parent’s desires for his occupation resting heavily on his shoulders. Those pressures overwhelmed him, persuading him to approach his father and request a way out. That evening, he explained to his father the reasons he wished to leave the Assembly. Unfortunately, that evening, Macbeth would feel the wrath of his father as anger boiled over. The head of the Okorie household rose from his chair, shouting “YOU FELL IN LOVE WITH A HYUGA?!” The young man backpedalled, words fumbling as he attempted to explain his reasons and rationalize with his father, but his anger was an unstoppable beast. He remembered the rough grip of his father’s hand on his arm, the profanities flowing from his mouth without a pause. Additional family assisted as realization dawned, however, Macbeth remained confused as he was hauled down to the basement. Blades across his skin, twisting before healing... rinse and repeat... they mended his flesh to start again... they broke him down, harmed him, maliciously tortured him without a second thought... There was no escape from the pain they inflicted and less from the words they screamed in damnation of his innocent actions... A friend of theirs descended those steps, a man holding a tome... a cursed was cast, immortality with a sorrowful price. The actions taken in the Okorie family basement would be permanently burned in Macbeth’s eyes, his scars tingling each time he thought of that horrific evening... A befitting punishment in his family eyes, a traumatic situation in his. The incident transformed him, burned away the sociability, the trust and replaced it with a cold, hardened cynicism. After the things he endured, he escaped the household and found solitude in the location he would meet Zera. The woman he loved found him, a different man than he previously was and shaken by the events that unfolded. He told her everything, discovering comfort in his lover after the horrible situation. With things getting volatile with Macbeth’s family, they began finding their own home and planned on moving out together. They no longer wished for the overbearing weight of their parents, thus Macbeth was pleased. Alas, an originally neutral soul was persuaded into something to purposefully displease his parents. He applied to join the Terror Response Syndicate, successfully enlisting to become a hunter. They tried to break him and part of him craved vengeance. With the assistance of his new job, he made a living with Zera. At one point they eloped, remaining together for years. Despite the changes Macbeth underwent after the torture he received. Around when Macbeth was approximately 23, he had a child with Zera who they named Magnolia. Having a child was a difficult challenge, but Macbeth enjoyed it. He was protective of Magnolia, refusing to allow his parents or sister to ever see the child he had with a Hyuga. Although, through raising Magnolia, Macbeth was vocal about his preferences for them. His experiences inspired it, however, he was never aware of the consequences. After high school, Macbeth watched as her daughter packed to head to Lorsette. He could not complain, Magnolia would be safer away from his family, it was dangerous here. When the time arrived for her to leave, Macbeth gave her the tightest embrace and told her to be careful. The moment she left, Macbeth became the father who would text when spare time cake to assure his daughter’s safety. He stayed close to Zera, enjoying their years together as a couple. Then at age 49, he received a dangerous group mission and ventured out… only he would not return… sound surrounded him, loud booms as people screamed and shouted. A long-standing brawl that was bloody and violent between the TRS and Assembly. Everything was a blur, Macbeth getting separated from his group and being lost in the desolate lands of Nunavut. He never returned, the news arriving about Macbeth being lost in battle, some claiming he died, others accusing he returned to the Assembly and some believing he just left. In reality, Macbeth woke inside the snow, slowly rising as white powder rolled off his body. He was left behind, accidentally abandoned. He transformed into his yeti form and found a place to keep warm, listening to the howling winds of a cold winter. For months, Macbeth fended for himself, hunting and searching for Iqulait. Then when he arrived? Zera was gone, no longer in the Nunavut capital. Upset, Macbeth found himself uncertain, wondering if she believed he died in the altercation. Tears welled for a moment before he retreated from Nunavut. He hitched hike through Canada, heading to Lorsette in search of his daughter in hopes of finding his wife. He only recently arrived in Lorsette in his search for his family. misc - Likes: TRS, quiet places, swimming, winter, snow, cold temperatures, reading, relaxing music, lavender, the colour blue, blueberries, protecting others - Dislikes: AP, sweets, extreme violence, gore, horror movies, scars, his parents & sister, Zeredah, crime, pickles, loudness, fire, summer, abuse, torture - Fears: His parents, his sister, the power of the Assembly, hot days, being abused &/or tortured - His alias in the TRS is The Glacier for his intense ice manipulating abilities. - He has a daughter named Magnolia Okorie who he had with Zera. - Despite not showing it, Macbeth fears his parents and his sister Brielle for what they did to him. - He has a sensitivity to the idea of abusive or torturous situations.
