Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Summer 2024
Heat has broken through into a glorious summer. The snow has entirely dried through the spring, leaving to the brilliance of the warmer months. Terror activity has risen as people are brought out of their homes, leaving the TRS in a position of consistent work. Each are attempting to maintain victory in the endless struggle for power.
Since the wonderful members of TDOM enjoy the site enough to play around on it, this thread is to assist with the site's tidying! Functionality is important and we want to make the site functional even if its activity will be minimal at best!
The Nymph had signed up for an event that the city was hosting out of the speculation that it would be fun. Granted normally such an event would be reserved mainly for children but... Well, it sounded interesting and he didn't get out much aside from heading to the city for either necessities or delivering things for customers. He was put into a group that held three different people, and including himself it would have been a total of four people. Of course he didn't recognize any of the names but, again, it wasn't like he really got out much.
The purple-haired man made his way to where his group would begin at, his blue eyes scanning his surroundings to see who all would be showing up. In the distance, slightly, he could see TRS people patrolling the area to ensure the safety of the people attending the event, such as himself. His head tilted slightly as a breeze picked up, his eyes closing as he breathed in the air and just merely felt how it brushed over his skin. He definitely enjoyed spring the most.
However, after a few moments he opened his eyes again and turned his head as he heard some footsteps getting closer. His face remained gentle as usual, his eyes holding curiosity as he scanned them over the stranger. Were they part of the group as well or just passing by? Then again, he supposed anyone who wasn't part of the egg hunt group wouldn't be permitted within the event zone for the sake of the TRS people. "Hello there, here to join the hunt?" He spoke up, voice soft and light at the moment as he offered the stranger a friendly smile.

[attr="class","jawntattxtdiv"] Only on rare occasions is he able to be convinced to get out of the house to have fun with his fellow citizens. One such event, an event he finally managed to sign up to according to his own free will, was the Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Lorsette.
[break][break]He reaches the Coastal Area with his heart beating fiercely against his chest. He's not so sure why he's feeling like this; there is nothing to be nervous about, he reassures himself. No, it's nothing about the people he is about to meet; a social butterfly like himself has nothing to fear when meeting people, no matter where they come from or who they are in society. Rather, it's the matter of finding eggs with them that, for some reason, already takes him off the edge.
[break][break]It's such a stupid reason to be nervous about, he knows. But he's never been a team player before- for all he knows he could be leading himself to disaster for not following the team or be walking off to find eggs alone with no way to go. Hector, for all his own personal vows of keeping himself secret, does not want to be left alone hunting for eggs, especially in the heart of an event were Terrors could be lurking. He needs to keep an eye on his team, and make sure he's near them at all times.
[break][break]As he walks up to where the team of people he is to hunt eggs with is huddled, he waves at them with a shy smile. "Hello," He walks up to the purple-haired man who greeted him before he even arrived. "Yes, here to join the Egg Hunt. I presume you're on the same page?" He asks the man back with a smile.

Aristole smiled as the man spoke, nodding his head in agreement. "Indeed I am. I figured it would be a nice chance to get out into the city and meet some people for some fun." He spoke up, turning his head to glance off towards the officials in charge of keeping the event safe for a few moments before he turned his attention back towards the man once more. "Ah, forgive me... My name is Aristole and it is nice to meet you." He spoke up, offering a hand out in the form of a handshake in greeting to the man. After all, if they were in the same group they might as well know what to call the other...right? "Have you done this before? This event the city has hosted, that is? Despite how long I've lived here I haven't really been one to partake in any events but I figured now was as good of a time to change that." He spoke up once more, a soft giggle escaping him.
Do not use drama to get attention in the chat. Nobody appreciates it.
