Welcome to The Duality of Man, an original animanga role-play that features numerous supernatural creatures. Unfortunately, these various species have distanced themselves because of the war that occurred thousands of years ago, plaguing some with eyes that only see their dualism. While others meddle themself with their differences, two groups fight, each attempting to eliminate the other in for their definition of worldly peace. These two groups of the Terror Response Syndicate (TRS) and the Assembly of Phantoms (AP). With individuals fighting merely over their differences, it brings uncertainty to the outcome of this war.
We happily accept all role-players as long as they obey the rules and are capable of meeting our word count of 50. This does include those who are unfamiliar with this style of role-playing. The staff of The Duality of Man are willing to happily help those who are new to the role-playing world so they feel comfortable on site. Feel free to message the staff if you need help, they can be found here or in the site Discord and will gladly answer questions alongside calm concerns. If you have any suggestions we would love to hear them; guests may use the support board as a suggestion area as well. Should you decide to join, may I say welcome to the site and we all hope you enjoy your time here.
Yours Truely,
The Staff

The hellhound had been itching for some fun since he had been contained at the castle for a bit of time doing what he needed to do. So when he had heard mention of a blind date event happening the hellhound was quick to jump at the chance to go. He had even slid the information of the event to his employer to see if he would think on going as well.
However, he didn't really care if he did or not. He was excited for the chance to having some fun and meeting some people. Maybe gaining a fling in the process but who knew. He made sure to get himself all dressed up so as to make himself look as attractive as he could make himself be. He allowed his hair to be a bit ruffled just for the look as he took an hour to get ready. Probably to the annoyance of whoever fell victim to his needing opinions on what to wear and then ignoring them to go with what he decided last minute.
He managed to get over to the destination in a reasonable time though, people were going in and getting seated with their dates either waiting for them or showing up not too much time later. He sauntered over to one of the staff members, winking at them with a few flirtatious comments before he was eventually led away to where he was supposed to be. Oh, now just who was he going to be graced with this fine evening?
He glanced around observing those around him in an interested manner. Oh some of those people looked very fine indeed, it almost made him want to just get up and start buttering them up but he remained where he was for now. If he got to meet his date for the night maybe something interesting would happen.
Urijah had continued on with his flings, despite meeting Alec whom he found himself caring about. Of course distance had been placed between them and he hadn't seen Alec ever since then. When sign up's started for Valentine's day's blind date, he didn't waste any time signing up. He was hopeful he would be paired up with a man instead of a woman despite having been married to one in the past. Even if a relationship couldn't blossom here, he wanted to extend the offer of a possible fling, the worst thing that could happen tonight is that he would be turned down. No wait, correct, that the person across from him would be an elf, that would be the worst thing. He had showered before dressing in formal attire before making his way out of the hotel room, making sure his driver knew when to pick him up so that they would arrive on time. He was silent in the car, not once having mentioned Alec after having pushed him from his life. It wasn't anything personal, he just didn't like being at fault for making the poor guy sick was all and yet he secretly missed having him around.
He pushed those thoughts aside when the car came to a stop and he waited for the door to be opened from the limousine before getting out of the car. Anybody standing outside would find themselves staring at him as he slowly walked towards the front door before walking inside. He had yet to find out who his match would be, as he slowly walked in somebody lead him to the table Loki was sitting at. He couldn't have but find himself staring at Loki, finding him rather attractive. This was surely going to be a splendid night, quite pleased with who he had been matched with this evening.
Loki's attention was pulled towards a man who had come to the table as well. His golden eyes fell over the man's appearance before a sultry smile crossed his face in approval. Already this night would be interesting. He leaned forward a little, tilting his head to the side just enough for a strand of hair to brush against his cheekbone. "Now, just who do I have the pleasure of sharing this night with?" He spoke up with a purr lacing his words to show his interest in the man.
The hellhound reached a hand out towards the man for a handshake in greeting, maybe to tug him towards himself just slightly as a form of surprise but he hadn't made his mind up about that just yet. "The name is Loki Vaun, but you...you can call me anything." He introduced himself, winking at him as he got himself settled once more in his seat. He'd let this evening play out and see where things led from there.
Urijah watched as Loki smiled at him, finding himself smiling back at him. He watched as Loki leaned forward, tilting his head to the side, he stared as a strain of hair fell, wishing to push it back against Loki's ear, but was pulled from such thoughts when Loki asked his question. "My name is Urijah Fraiser but you can call me Uri if you want and believe me when I say the pleasure is all mine, mr?" He answered before asking for Loki's name in return. Loki's hand reached out towards him and he took it in his own to shake his hand, somewhat tempted to keep his hand hostage for a little bit longer.
His smile widened when Loki had given his name to him, oh which nickname should he go for this time? He thought to himself as he kept his hand in Loki's. As it stood so far all was going well in his favor. One of two things would hopefully happen tonight, either a date, or a fling, he frankly was okay with either one, but couldn't help but feel curious on how Loki felt on the matter since he had barely just met him. Though he knew only time would tell and he was willing to stay as long as it took to find out.
Loki had definitely taken notice of the man's intention of not releasing his hand, to which a smile remained on his face in approval. Upon learning the man's name a small hum escaped the hellhound as he scanned his eyes over his face. "Uri... I like it." He spoke up, shifting a finger to let it gently rub against the other's hand since their hands were still being held together. Whether the man would become a temporary fling or not would be seen as the night progressed. He honestly didn't really see himself actually having a date but perhaps a favorite.... That he could see himself having.
Now, would he ever convince his employer to allow him to visit his living quarters? No, he wouldn't unless he found himself invested to the man. Though that wouldn't be any time soon, especially not upon first meeting. "Do tell me, Uri... Just what do you do in your every day life?" He spoke up, keeping his voice level with that sultry tone. Perhaps he had a bit of...practice with previous flings he had achieved over the years. "In answer to the question I'm sure you'll ask me... I'm a guard. Bodyguard I suppose you could say. I'm just glad tonight was my night off of work, seeing how I'm seated across a rather attractive man." He spoke up, giving him a flirty grin as he rested his chin lightly atop his other hand while his elbow was pressed against the edge of the table.
Oh, how he wanted to learn plenty from the man in many ways. More importantly what could he gain from him? What could he gain aside from carnal desires?
Urijah couldn't help but feel pleased that Loki hadn't bothered pulling away from him, perhaps he enjoyed holding hands with him, only time would tell but that smile on his face made him believe Loki was giving approval. "Why thank you." He answered in return, still debating on the name that he'd give Loki tonight. He didn't want it to be just some plain name, he wanted Loki to feel like he was special tonight because frankly he was going to be by the time the night was threw. The question hadn't come off as a surprise, since they were attempting to get to know each other after all. "I'm a lawyer." He answered before adding, "Prosecutor." He answered, having been about to ask but Loki beat him to the punch and went ahead and answered it. "I see." He answered being reminded that he himself was busy all the time, today was just lucky that he wasn't currently working the whole day away. "And I'm happy I was able to make it tonight because your so handsome. I'd love to know if it hurt when you fell from the sky?" It was a common phrase one used in flirting methods. "How about hobbies?" He redirected the question right back at him, curious on what he'd say on the matter.
Burn on I'm shining so bright There's fire deep in my soul I'ma rise up like the legends of old
Loki nodded his head as he listened to Uri's response on what profession he was. So, he was a prosecutor...how interesting and perhaps...helpful. Maybe. He'd probably inform Noah about the man to see what he'd think about him. Whether to use him for his own means or whatever he didn't know or really care at the moment. However, at his next words an amused smirk crossed his face as he allowed some of his teeth to show at that flirtatious phrase. Oh, if only he knew. "Ah, they couldn't handle the heat I bring so was tossed down...but they apparently couldn't handle me either." He purred out, chuckling a little before his attention was grabbed by the question. Ah, hobbies. He took his time in scanning his eyes over Urijah before he lightly tugged on his hand a little.
"Well, I suppose working out doesn't really count as a hobby with my profession." He mentioned, tilting his head as a thoughtful expression crossed his face for a moment. However, his flirtatious one crossed just as quickly and he leaned forward a little. "I seem to have a knack for playing a couple of stringed instruments. If I'm not off working out or practicing my archery skills I'll be holed up somewhere plucking away at strings." He told him, pausing for a moment to gauge his companion's reaction. "Now, I just must know what you have for hobbies." He added, raising a brow slightly in a curious manner. Perhaps he'd serenade him later with his harp or guitar skills, assuming they lasted that long that is. So they had gotten to know each other's professions and hobbies what else could they learn about one another?
He flicked his eyes down towards their hands and squeezed Urijah's a little before he raised his gaze once more to look back at the man. "During your downtime do you have any...favorable locations you like to visit?" He asked him, sliding a foot forward to lightly nudge it against the man's foot as well. Perhaps he'd be able to visit one of the man's favorable locations at some point that night.
Urijah couldn't help but smile slightly at him. "Well we are lucky to have you here today. Well by we, I mean me." He chuckled, attempting to joke with Loki. He then asked about hobbies, noticing Loki tug on his hand, he did it right back at him. "I would count it." He chuckled, since exercise was an important daily task in life. Loki explained how he played instruments and it had perked his interest since despite not being able to play he always enjoyed listening to others doing so. He was highly interested but kept to himself his secret desire of hoping to hear Loki play sometime. When the hobby question was redirected at him, he couldn't help but lean back slightly. "I haven't really thought about it in a long time to be honest. I mean I still enjoy being outdoors but a lot happened in my life that kept me from that and as of lately I've even been in my hotel or back at the office to work." He paused for a moment before joking, "Unless drinking counts a hobby, then I'm guilty of doing that at times." He answered, not ready to admit that his true hobby as of late had been having flings with other guys.
Loki squeezed his hand, he returned the favor before listening to his question. "I'm not sure about favorable places, more so places that assist with bringing back some of my happier memories. The park would be one of those places, getting to spend it with my siblings and later my son." He answered, noticing that Loki had nudged him with his foot while he had been speaking. A thought had crossed his mind, he had just realized that he had mentioned Nolan when he had meant to leave him out of the conversation at this time. It was too late to take it back now. "With my son, I used to take him to the park, the different kind of museums in our area. There are a lot of places in Omaha, Nebraska." He explained, deciding that it would be best to go silent now. Though he was hoping for a possible relationship or even a fling, he knew that what was done was done and if Loki lost interest over him mentioning his son whom he viewed as his pride and joy, it would be for the best.
Burn on I'm shining so bright There's fire deep in my soul I'ma rise up like the legends of old
The hellhound gave a small smirk at the man's response to counting his working out as a hobby. Though he did give a small nod in approval as Urijah responded in the question about having any hobbies. Ah, so the man enjoyed the outdoors but did not have much time for that as he was either in his..hotel or at the office for work. Hm, so he stayed in a hotel and not a house or apartment? How interesting. The hellhound released a lighthearted chuckle at the joke, scanning his eyes over his face briefly. "My, my then you are guilty of such a hobby! And I should join you with that perhaps from time to time..." He spoke up in response to his words.
Loki once again had a flirtatious smirk crossing his face as Urijah had returned the hand squeeze and went on to answer his question he had asked him. He allowed his flirtatious smirk to fade as he listened to what his date had to say, nodding in acknowledgement before he tilted his head to the side slightly at the mention of a son. Ah, so he had a child. That would definitely be something he would keep in mind. Especially if his employer took interest in this lawyer for...reasons his own area of work dictated. A child would certainly be a leverage over someone.
He allowed the man to speak on, seemingly trying to recover over that fumble of mentioning his child. After a few moments he released a breath of amusement before he squeezed his hand again. "How old is he?" He asked him, giving him a small nod of reassurance. He wasn't really one to like children all that much but he knew how some parents felt about their children. Then again it probably was determined by how many they had as well. "I've never been to Nebraska, you'll have to tell me more on what that is like. Hell, maybe if things go smoothly..." He trailed off, leaning forward a little as he kept his eyes locked onto Urijah's. "Maybe you could take me to some of those locations." Then again it would probably be in the hellhound's best interest to get closer to the man and learn plenty about him. Who knew if he needed to wrap him around his finger at some point?
Urijah wasn't sure which hobby Loki was talking about, being in the hotel or drinking. "Join me in the drinking or?" He asked, looking for clarification. The last thing he wanted to do was assume Loki had been hinting at a fling only to be wrong about it. After making the comment about his son, he explained how he had other places that he used to go to but haven't been too in a long time. Loki asked him how old Nolan was and he found himself pondering in thought on the subject. It wasn't on purpose but after they became adults it was somewhat difficult to keep track. "He is thirty-two.... or somewhere around that age range...." He answered him, having a moment of forgetting when Nolan's birthday was, unaware that Loki had believed his son to be a child. He listened as Loki mentioned having never been to Nebraska, nodding his head in reply, more then willing to tell him all about it. The smile on his face dropped when Loki had leaned forward before suggesting for them to go to those locations.
"I have to apologize..." He answered, smile soon returning, but appearing somewhat regretful too. "As much as I'd love to show you those places, I'm never going back there." He answered, unwilling to give a reason as of why. Our family was raised there and all this shit happened. I will never return there, return to her. Though I won't have any complaints if any of my siblings chose to come here, but if she does... I might just lose it on her for lying to me all those years ago. He thought to himself before adding, "Though I'm more than willing to go other places with you." He answered in return before playfully adding, "If you're comfortable with that idea, that is." He answered, leaving it at that, hoping he hadn't pushed Loki away for refusing to go back to Nebraska.
Burn on I'm shining so bright There's fire deep in my soul I'ma rise up like the legends of old
Loki scanned his eyes over the man as he questioned him, merely giving him a playful smirk. "Well what do you think?" He purred out, chuckling a little as he rubbed his finger against his hand as he listened to Urijah tell him how old his son was. Ah, so he was an adult and not a child. Either he used a lot of beauty products or he was...special. His brow raised slightly as he took not of the man's smile falling for a moment before it returned as he apologized. Ah, so that location was a sore spot. That was surely noted as well. He gave the man a smile in return and nudged his foot against Urijah's once more.
"Well, I'm certainly not opposed to that idea. I would just love to learn more about you..." He responded, soon leaning back and squeezing his hand once more before he eventually withdrew it. "Now, I don't know about you but I'm starving." He spoke up, sliding his foot up just past Uri's ankle a bit as he gave him another smile. Now, as to where things would lead after dinner...he'd gladly look forward to all of it. At least he wasn't expected back at the castle until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest.
Urijah couldn't help but smile back at Loki. Well if he didn't mean drinking or a fling. I'll cross that bridge once I get to it. He thought to himself before adding, "I'd love to have you join me." He answered him in return before adding, "Just be sure to tell me if that isn't what you meant." He answered, throwing it back onto Loki to stop him should he take things too far in the wrong direction. He enjoyed Loki's finger rubbing against his hand, it gave him vibes that he was correct to assume that he might have landed himself a buddy for the night, for drinking and even a possible fling, of course he wasn't about to openly admit to such things. Loki nudged his foot again, he returned the favor gently, enjoying their footsie game. He was pleased when Loki mentioned not being opposed to that idea, appearing to want to learn more about him. "Are you sure?" He asked in return, viewing himself as rather boring despite taking pride in the flings he enjoys with others.
Loki squeezed his hand before he withdrew it. Oh how he wished he could have returned the favor but instead moved his hand off of the table so that he could clasp his hands on his lap. Loki mentioned starving, at first he thought he meant for food, until he noticed his foot sliding up his ankle. So he was going to play that game, hmmm? He thought to himself as he debated on his counter. "As am I." He answered in return, choosing at this time to allow Loki to do as he pleases. "I mean we could always have wine brought to the hotel, if your up for that sort of thing." He answered for his invite, curious on if Loki would be interested in having a fling with him. Before they could continue, the server had come over to take their order, "I'll have wine." He answered, not really picky about what alcohol he consumed. Today, he planned on going big. Plus he wanted to secretly try and impress Loki with his choice of drink. The server would turn to get Loki's order before leaving to go retrieve their drinks.
Burn on I'm shining so bright There's fire deep in my soul I'ma rise up like the legends of old
Loki chuckled lightly at the mention of them taking wine back to the man's hotel room, grinning a little as he just allowed the man to think whatever it was that was on his mind. He nudged Urijah once more with his foot due to their little game of footsies before he tilted his head a little as he kept his eyes on the man before him. "Hm, I don't see why not." He purred out, smirking playfully before his attention was pulled over to the server coming over to take their orders. His eyes flicked over to his date as he ordered some wine, a soft breath of amusement escaping him before he returned his gaze back to the server once more. "I'll take a Cabernet Sauvignon, feel free to bring the bottle here." He spoke up, doing his own showing off for his date. Honestly, all it was that he had ordered was red wine that was pretty dry but had a bold and savory flavor to it. Perfect for a date really.
He turned his attention once more towards Urijah as the server left with their orders. "So, Uri...just what do you plan on doing back at the hotel?" He spoke slowly, his face still flirtatious and playful as he kept his eyes on his date to see his reaction to his words. Honestly he was game for anything that would happen, but he was hungry so he at least wanted to have a steak or something first to fill his stomach with something yummy before, well, dessert. A nice hot dessert just waiting for him at the hotel. Mm, that sounded very...delicious.
Urijah nudged Loki's back with his other foot, finding this footsie game rather pleasant. It pleased him when he heard Loki say he saw no reason why not, implying to both the wine and joining him back in the hotel room. The server came and took their orders. Since he was a regular when it came to dining. Everybody knew when he ordered alcohol, if the bottle could be provided that they were to always bring it to his table. There were very few drinks that he had them fill it in a glass. He listened when Loki gave his own order, mentioning to bring the bottle here. The server took note and had left to go get both bottles to fill their glasses so that they could enjoy their wine as they saw fit. He was surprised by the question that Loki provided him. Slowly he let go of his hands before sliding them onto the table, clasping them together before resting his chin on top of it. "Boy, would you love to know." He flirted back with him in return. If I say the wrong thing, I might just lose his interest and I can't help but feel a great need in having his attention for as long as possible. He thought to himself before adding, "Care to take a guess?" He flirted, nudging Loki's foot with his own once more.
The server soon came back with two wine bottles, setting one in front of Urijah and the Cabernet Sauvignon in front of Loki before opening both up to pour their glasses. It hadn't come as a surprise that the server had brought his wine bottle despite not asking for it since he had been here often enough for them to just know his expectations. "What can I get you, started on?" The server would ask, prepared to take the food orders. Though he used to enjoy such meals prior to his death, he found himself not really eating all that often since it wasn't required of him. He gestured for the server to take Loki's order first, not even bothering to look at the menu. At this time, he wasn't interested in anything on it but he was curious on what Loki would be getting. Once it was his turn, "I'll keep this menu a bit longer until I decide on something." He gave an apologetic smile, watching as the server had left them once more.
Burn on I'm shining so bright There's fire deep in my soul I'ma rise up like the legends of old
Loki had continued to nudge Urijah with his foot in their little game under the table, grinning at his response to his question. Oh, he was an interesting one indeed. He chuckled and gave him a flirtatious smirk, tilting his head to the side a little. "Oh, I'm sure you'd love to hear what I have in mind." He responded in just as much of a flirty tone as the man across from him had. Again his foot was nudged and he returned it, having his foot slide up his leg slightly before he withdrew it.
His attention was pulled towards the server as they returned with two wine bottles, leaning back to give the staff person room to open their bottles and then pour their glasses. A brow did raise though as he had come to realize that the server did not ask him of what kind of wine nor did the other man ask for the bottle to be brought to the table. How interesting... However, he blinked once and his attention was once more pulled towards the server before his eyes flicked over towards his date. At his words he smiled a little and glanced back towards the server once again. "I'll take two lobster tails with melted butter on the side." He spoke up, handing his menu over to the server after he scanned his eyes over it for a few moments. He did enjoy steak more but it was a romantic evening and lobster definitely fit that criteria.
After the server had left them he turned his attention over to Urijah once more, a hand reaching out to grab his glass of wine. He swished it around gently before he brought it up to his lips to take a sip from it before setting it back down onto the table. "From the way that server brought your bottle of wine over without being asked to all I can presume is that you two know each other, you run this place on the side, or you're a regular here." He mentioned, smiling towards his date as he nudged him once more with his foot.
