And while you are sitting indoors
waiting for the storm to pass
I will be outside dancing in the rain
waiting for the storm to pass
I will be outside dancing in the rain

Sonya walked out of her office after she had slept over to finish some of her work. Mostly just paper work she had put off till the deadline. But hey it was done and that is what matters. It was around noon and the sun had been shining through all the windows. She stretched a bit as she walked from her office to unit two's frequent hang out spot. Which was the lounge. Since Sonya puts unit two through some hard ass training, the lounge was more or less a safe heaven for most of her soldiers.
Sonya walked into the lounge to grab a cup of coffee. As soon as she set foot into the lounge, anyone that was part of unit two, stood at attention right away. It wasn't like she made them do that. It was just out of habit for them because she was so tough on them. "At ease." she said as the men and women from unit two went back to their own business. As she made her way to the coffee machine she could hear a couple people that weren't apart of unit two ask people that were why they did that and if they were trained to do that. All of them said no, and went on to explain that Sonya beat it into them to show respect when they were just recruited. And it was more out of habit than anything. A couple of them even said they were thankful they weren't in unit two. That was probably because of all the rumors surrounding Sonya's unit. They were more or less just mercenaries, they train way too hard, they get no rest, Sonya is a devil for putting her unit through everything.
Sonya cracked a smile at the whispers. Yes some were true, but most of it was to prepare them for this war and to not die. Out of all the units at base. Unit two has the least amounts of deaths whenever they are on a mission. Mostly because of Sonya. As she was pouring her coffee, she could hear the ramblings of a group near her. about eight or nine sitting at a table, only two of them part of her unit. She didn't catch most of the argument that was taking place. But one of them said "don't you talk shit about my Lt. She is fucking badass. If you are gunna keep bad mouthing, then put your words where your mouth is and try to beat her in a spar." the man said.
"What a good idea." Sonya said. As the man from her unit froze a bit as he looked her way. "Don't worry these chumps wouldn't land a finger on me." she said with a slight smile. "Buuut I have a better idea." she said as she walked over and put a hand on the shoulder of one of the people not from her unit. "Why dont all of you spar with my two right here. I didn't quite catch all of the conversation. But from what my man said, it sounded like you were disrespecting my unit." she went on to say, as she paused to take a sip of the hot coffee. "So lets put it to the test, you six versus my two. It shall be fun to watch." she said as she took another sip of her coffee.
As the men and women around the table said that they didn't mean any of it and kept apologizing. "Sparing field now." was all Sonya said as her yellow eyes glared at those around the table. The two from her unit had already stood and were waiting for the rest even before Sonya said that. Goes to show what getting your ass kicked does to you. As the men and women around the table stood and started to walk towards the sparing field.
